so a big money maker for the city so they're going to fill the hotels they're going to fill the restaurants they're going to be downtown Short North the arena district and then also there's other opportunities to get to the uh museums and and be part of the gallery hop tourism officials say they're predicting the Arnold will bring in more than $15 million in direct visitor spending around 20,000 athletes will be participating hotels in the area say they're busy prepping for their guests experien
ced Columbus says more than 8,000 hotel rooms have been contracted for this event Williams says the event impact stretches well beyond this weekend it'll benefit us in the in the future because we'll continue to bring these imp impactful events and that's extremely important uh to get those tax dollars that go to support all the other uh uh great things in our community Williams says events like this one are great exposure opportunities for the city we don't want them just one time we want them
