Book review of Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo in 60 seconds. This is the second book (Book 2) of the 'Six of Crows' duology. It is a really good follow up novel. Usually, the second book of a series doesn't quite match the first book's novelty or premise but the Crooked Kingdom delivers and how! The backstories of each character are what I found the most compelling, having understood the quirks and traits of each of them, what shaped them to be who they are is fascinating.

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. The Crows
face the consequences of their actions during the daring heist in book one of the Six of
Crows duology. How do the six deal with the ramifications which have sent political and
economic ripples throughout the Grishaverse? Let's just say they literally have to
fight for their lives and also possibly end up finding love along the way. Highlights - we
get a close look at Ketterdam, the crooked capital of Kerch where above all money is worshipped, lik

literally, the people of Kerch worship Ghezen, the god of commerce and trade. You
get to understand the desperate brutal conditions that exist to birth a diabolical,
prosperous gang leader like Kaz Brekker. Ketterdam has also hardened and marked all of the
other characters and their in-depth backgrounds are so very well written. Kaz's backstory
especially is extraordinary! Rating 4.5/5
