your favorite Disney characters are lacing up their skates and hitting the ice this week at the Denver Coliseum Disney on Ice presents Mickey's search party an event for the whole family and one of the performers is here with us this morning Rebecca Ferris thank you so much for coming in thank you for having me so you're from Colorado how does it feel to be back in your home state performing right here it feels incredible I mean um it's so cool to be able to play home and to see people um from m
y childhood who saw me skate and grow up up and to be in the same rings that I used to watch Disney on I um it's such a like surreal feeling of like wow I can't believe I'm here right now and and in in this place it feels so much more special yeah it's full circle really it's so full circle that is so awesome so what's your character um so I'm part of the Ensemble so I actually get to do everything essentially in the show I get to play different roles and I'm an acrobatic skater so I do stilt sk
ating oh go and I jump ice ramps um which I can tell you a little more about but uh yeah so I do a little bit of everything and it's so exciting to get to do that every show we're looking at some of the video right now you jump ice ramps I I have to use like the little grainy Walker thing you know on the ice like it's so impressive you're taking it to a whole new level so what what is that okay so if you think of like when you go to a skate park and you see the people going on the different ramp
s we've kind of done the same thing and and we've take it taken it to the ice so it's a really cool thing and during the show you see in the Frozen segment um all these characters jumping the ice ramps and they do it to this really exciting like number with Kristoff like being this lead character and it's kind of like the almost like the culmination of the show of all these different elements coming together and um it's it's one of my favorite parts of the show but we also have all these other e
lements during the entire show that are just so different and cool and um I think that's what makes this particular Disney and I show really really special you said Frozen I hope my little girl is not watching right now because we're going to have to go what's really cool about Disney on Ice is it really is for everyone because Mickey was part of my childhood of course but then you've got Moana you've got you know Elsa I mean it's really everything that's part of it yeah and I think that's anoth
er aspect of the show that's so cool is it has a little bit of the old and the little bit the new um we see like you know Beauty and the Beast and Toy Story but also we we're seeing Frozen there's a great Moana segment there's so much for everyone and not only like are these stories all being told but like I said you get to see all these different Acro elements during the show so like we have an aladdin segment and during that we get to see tumbling ice skating people on the web people on stals
