hello everyone welcome back to another procreate
dreams tutorial today we're going to be creating an animated Motion Graphics with procreate
dreams so stick around to the end to see the completed project so what I started with was I
had this idea about water and if I could make info Graphics Motion Graphics using procreate
dreams so I created a voice over about water and I just put all this together and it turned
out to be a lot easier than I thought it was going to be so the first seene we
have the
Earth here uh it's full screen I'm going to have it Zoom the camera's going to zoom out
or the Earth is going to get smaller so what I did was I started out with the first layer of
just being a black background you can see right there the resolution is HD uh I think I've got
it set at properties 24 frames per second and duration is 30 seconds 1920 x 1080 all right so
the first thing what I did was I loaded in the earth graphic and I have given you all of these
assets so you can p
lay around with them do what you like so the Earth graphic is right here so
it's on that layer right there and I just key framed it I set the key frame at the beginning
for this size and then it slowly zooms out to right here so I'll show you that part okay so
up to there after that I let it sit there for a little while uh and then I had it move
over to the right so you can see see that again and then it moves over to the right okay so
that was the first step of the animation so what I did
next was I had some text come in wasn't
sure on how to do text so I had to research on how to do that I'll show you how to do it it's
really easy so you just hit your plus here like you're going to add a new um track or something
but instead you add text so it's really easy and it's just like the procreate ones you type it
out you can change the font you can change the size however you like so after I got that text
in and you can see the text is right here off of the what do we call this th
e part that people are
going to see so don't we have plenty of resources so that was the text that I wrote up and what I
did was I animated it in so the don't here is the text format so I had it start about right there
and then first key frame was off the canvas and then I had it key frame over to here and I had it
come on from the side so you can see don't just like that and I kind of had the earth move over
and the words and how I did that was I grouped this layer and this layer together
so I could
animate both of them together so they'd be kind of equal or even when they came in okay I also
added some sounds as you could hear the swoosh sound don't win and I didn't give you guys all of
the sounds and stuff because I have a subscription with invat elements highly recommended uh and I
am not able to share those but if you go on to the free sound sites there is tons of stuff that
you can get for free also the music also that I added was also from inat so I'm not able to give
you that either but anyway let's continue on with that so after I did that so I have my audio voice
over that I did and I also added that in the free download also don't we have plenty of resources
okay so don't we have plenty of resources was the first audio and I left the mistakes that I made
when I recorded it so give you guys some practice on how to cut it up and it's not too difficult
to do actually uh if you have your audio here and you need to make a cut just tap on it hit
edit and
then you can split it right there then you can take out the part you need or you can
move them over however you need to so they're really easy just you move them over just like
you would any other track okay so after that part so I had I grouped those those two together
I said you know I grouped them so I could move them so I grouped these and then I had them
animate out together and I just had them go to the right again using key frames but I
didn't have the Earth go out I had it stop righ
t there okay so that was the next part of
the animation plenty of water okay and then we had some more text come in and I did that on
a separate layer which is right here plenty of water and all I did was key frame it drug
it off of the canvas hit a key frame move my play head over and then I drug it all the way in
and that creates a new key frame when you move it so it comes in right there uh my voice over is
saying the same thing plenty of water plenty of water also o had a swoosh sound e
ffect come in
with the graphics there okay and then on this one I key framed both of these separate and I had
them go out opposite sides of the canvas exit and did them again by using key frames yes and with a
swoosh okay and then had yes but new graphics come iness and I just had those fade in yes okay so the next thing I did was have these
water droplets come in and I split those up into left water droplets and right water
droplets so I could bring them in from each side so you can see th
ey come in off the canvas
boom hit right there in the middle okay and I've given you both of these you're that's in the
free download also and then in the middle I had the text box up now how I did that animation
for the text so what I did was let me find that there it is 97% salty so what I did was I set a
key frame at the beginning and then what I did was I just pinched it down where you couldn't
barely see it and then I moved the play head over to this next part and then I just pulled
i
t back out so then that animation just makes it it looks like it comes up from nothing also
I added a uh opacity key frame too but I don't think it's doing anything actually I don't
see well yeah I do here on the end I Had It Fade Out with everything else so that's why I
added that now at first I couldn't figure out how to add two different types of key frames to
one track so that was a little bit difficult on to do what I ended up having to do was I had to
click off of it click back on it
again and then hit this again and then it gave me the other
option so what it was doing before was it just gave me the size size one over and over again I
couldn't figure out how to get to the other key frames so after I clicked off of it clicked back
on it hit that again then it gave me all of the options so I could go ahead and add a opacity
key frame okay so I'll show you that part7 97% salty so talking about the ocean water and then
what I had it is I had everything except for three wat
er droplets and how I did that was I just put
them over so you can see the three right here on their own so as that faded out these stayed
these three stayed so that's how I achieved that there's probably other ways to do this a
lot better but this is just how I figured it out myself so Fades out got some more Graphics
coming in and I did the same thing I pinched them shut hit the hit out of the key frame
then I opened them back up nearly okay and you can see that right here so right here i
t's
completely closed and then slowly it opens back up okay so you can see this part nearly 2%
is locked in snow or ice okay so nearly 2% is locked in snow and ice now I didn't know
how to make just two of these water droplets turn a different color oh I remember what
I did okay what I did was I duplicated or actually I copied it then I pasted on a new
track and what I did to that one was I erased that one on the left so it wouldn't change
color and just kept the two on the right so basica
lly I've got two over this one and then
what I did was I key framed the color change so and then what I did was I added that ice
breaking effect sound okay and then after that I wanted those two to drop out and that one to
stay so I key framed actually I grouped the words and the water droplets in one group so I could
animate all of those out just had them drop off the bottom and then I did a movement key frame
on this or a resize key frame made this become bigger and then had words come in
[Music] look
okay and then what I did on this one is I again duplicated it added it to another frame and
you can see that piece right here that right there is the top part of it and I deleted the top
portion of this bottom one here so now they're overlapping so I've got they look like the full
whole section because they're overlapped here and here and then then right here is when the top
one starts to break off and you can just see that I missed one frame where it's still there
so I could
have I could fix that still but you can see that will disappear and then that piece
will move over to the right got some more words that'll pop up coming in from the left so what I
did with the key frame on the left was I did the movement key frame from the left and I also
did a opacity so you can see how it's faded out so it gets full to 100% opacity as it goes
out so that's just two types of key frames and you can see them right here the top one is the
movement and then this round circle
in here is the opacity so they kind of fade in as they come
in all right and I think that right there was the last one everything else just goes out at the end
there so again I loaded in some music you can put any kind of music you like if you're not going to
share it anywhere you can use anything you like because you're not going to get any copyrights uh
but since I'm putting this on YouTube I wanted to make sure everything is legit uh so I've got
the voice over here or maybe this this is
the voice over this is the music and then this is
all of the sound effects so they're kind of cut up right there and that's it so I'm going to
show you guys the final animation I hope this has helped you out if you have any questions please

I hope this has helped and will inspire you to do new things instead of just trying to do 2D
animations in uh with characters or something like that and show
you other things that this
program can accomplish so what I'm going to do is show you the final animation four finger touch
give you full screen and me turn the volume up so I hope this will be picked up by my microphone
okay here we go guys don't we have plenty of resources plenty of water yes but 97% is salty
nearly 2% is locked in snow or ice that leaves less than 1% that we can access and 70% of that
grows our [Music] crops okay guys and that's it again everything you need to make this
yourself
I've also given you the whole project so you can just play around with it add to it subtract from
it whatever you like to do everything's um in the procreate dreams file so I hope this helped
