Good morning everyone and welcome to another video. Today we are in Goa, in India, We took the night train from Kerala to Goa, which was the biggest adventure ever and this morning, we made it to Goa, which I'm really really excited about. Here, you can see where I am standing right now. This is the view that we have from our Airbnb. And I quickly want to show you our Airbnb because we pay $58 a night and we love it here so much. Let me quickly give you a room tour and after that, we are going t
o explore the city for the first time and I will give you my first impressions of Goa. Right, so first we're standing here in the balcony and then we are entering the room where Janine and I are sleeping. Hello! - Hey! Please excuse the light because it's because of the light that we have here that's why it's going up and down a little bit, but here you can see, it's a little bit messy because we are working and then we have the beautiful room with like books and everything and then there is a s
econd room, which you can see here, Wisnu is working here as well, but it's spacious, it's beautiful, it's clean. And then we have the kitchen. We have this bathroom with hot water and spacious enough. It's all super clean and we even have a living room. So we are really happy with this accommodation because traveling with 3 people can sometimes be pretty difficult, if you ask me. And then here we have the view that is at the front door with beautiful colors here. I absolutely love these pastel
colors, so you have an idea of what the neighborhood looks like that we are in. It's a pretty huge building, if you ask me. We had to walk these stairs, but I absolutely loved the colors and everything of here. So so stunning. So I'll go quickly grab my bag and take you guys along with exploring Goa for the first time. Are you ready? - Born ready. Born ready. Okay, let's go. We just accidentally closed our room door and it's locked now, so we cannot enter our room anymore, so wish us good luck.
And this is actually the first time that we're going to use the elevator. It's pretty small. We couldn't fit in here when we were checking in because we had so many bags, but now I think we can try it. Oh, it just opens. - This is so scary. This is really scary. I actually don't know if I like this. Where is the button? Oh my God! Oh my god! Look how small this elevator is. - And this is so scary. Yes! This is what you always see in movies, that you have to do this. It's like an old New York apa
rtment when you notice here, I feel like. But luckily, we're still going down and there's even a fan. Look. - Oh, okay! Oh, okay! - We survived. We survived. - Here. Here. I love how we're so confused where to go. We made it outside of the building and now we have no idea where to go, but I'm guessing the first stop is coffee. - Of course! And you know that. - I did. We figured out which way we need to go. Look at everything. Janine is just saying like it's all very west... like cowboy. You know
, like the western movies. Look at this building. Oh, okay! We need to go here. Yeah, it's way different than Kerala. Looks like old school, but I love the vibe, to be honest. But very old school. As if we go back in time a little bit. - Exactly! Right?! - This is what I expected if I looked up India. Oh, really! Look at this building here now as well. Like, it's all pretty old, but let's just go on this coffee hunt because I'm really in the mood for a coffee. Like I said, we just survived the n
ight train. I barely slept. These streets are not made for walking that's one thing, that's sure. But then again, look at how beautiful this building again is with the colors. Insane, but quiet. It's pretty quiet on the streets. - Yeah! Not many people. And Kerala was so busy. Whoa, okay! I haven't been paying attention, I was on my phone and we entered like an insanely beautiful area. So we have I think it's a church there. Like, look at this old school bus again and then that old school buildi
ng. Here we have a beautiful family restaurant and bar with authentic Goan food cuisine. Here we have ice cream and I think here we have shopping again. Whoa! This is like... It blows my mind. There's so much things going on here all the time. Look at all these things. Oh my God, I love this pants. Again so much shopping. I love the color. - I'm okay! I'm okay! That was so funny. Normally, I would do some shopping, but right now, it's like so in the mood for coffee. I'm really curious, if they h
ave good coffee here. But there are like a lot of shops right here already, but souvenir shops more. I don't feel like this like authentic clothes, but let's see. Oh, this street. Where does this remind you of? For me, it's a little bit Mexico style. - Yeah! But look what I see. There are shoes hanging here in the wires. It's just the funniest thing ever. Look how busy the streets go on. I thought Goa was not that crowded, but apparently it is. Wow! But stunning though. So much to see and to do.
- Hi! Picture? It's recorded. - Okay! - Thank you! - You're welcome! Thank you! Okay! Now it's gonna start. We're almost there, but it took us some time because actually, so many people want to take pictures of Janine because she's blonde. What we are looking for is Caravela cafe. And apparently, they have the best coffee because it's taking us a long time to walk here. - Yeah! I would recommend to get like normally a rickshaw, but we thought, we'll just walk and explore a little bit. - Should
I move them? Yeah! Oh, look, it's official. We serve one of the best coffees in India. Hello! - Oh, perfect. I think it's like very authentic. Yes, this is super authentic and I love it. So they have cappuccino here and the thing that I also see is that they have oat milk and that makes you so happy. Look at the menu. The coffee arrived and guys, it is literally a dream coming through. I think coffee art is not succeeded, but the coffee... Look at this. Wow! That's perfection. That's for me 10 o
ut of 10 And that makes me so happy. Oh, I didn't know Goa had such good coffee. This is amazing. Right guys, coffee time is over. It is time to meet up with Wisnu again and then we're gonna explore a little bit more here. Thank you so much! Have a good day. Look at these electrical wires. They're covered all with like trees, almost. Look at this guys. That is so funny here. I don't want to be the technical man here because that is so difficult. This is where we are walking right now. Not the mo
st ideal path to walk, but we're making the best of it. Look who we found strolling around here in Goa as well. The man himself, Wisnu. - I just got lost here. Yeah! But we made it to I think what is the middle of the center, this church here. It looks absolutely stunning. And we're gonna explore it now a little bit because as you can see, we can walk all the way up there. There's blue, there's white, there's huge bells as well, so I'm interested how will be up there, but I'm not sure if we can
go inside, but let's have a look. Okay! There's no videography and photography allowed here, so that was a quick visit. But stunning. Really beautiful, but we cannot record and show you guys, but here you have a glimpse in the back of how beautiful it is. So we're gonna explore the rest... and go more into the city center. Hello! - Hello! What's this? What shall we get? This lady is literally the most beautiful lady, I've ever seen. So colorful. Wow! Shall we get just a few bananas? - Yes! Okay!
I think this one. I think that's it. Let's see how much because I have no idea. She put like this, so it can be 30 or 300. Okay, I have some bananas here to eat on the street because we really need it. We're getting exhausted because it's so hot and this lady is absolutely stunning, like she's gorgeous and so sweet. Thank you so much! She's so stunning. Like... the colors, everything, it's so beautiful. I can't get rid of my banana guys. I think I have to just carry them for the rest of the day
. But it was worth it. And now, look at how stunning these buildings are. Guys, look here. This is Tapas place. Look how amazing with all these little things. Oh, I love it. I want to have stuffed squid, maybe for dinner, maybe I can convince the other 2 to join me. I love this area. This place is so beautiful. Especially, for pictures as well. I really really recommend you guys to come here because it is such a special vibe. I have no idea where we're gonna end up now because we are at the end
of the street, but look at this... Cafe Gold Spot. Shall we have a look? - Really crowded. Oh, it's really crowded. - Too crowded. Okay, that makes sense. Oh, the buses, so much traffic here. But let's see. Maybe we can find a spot where we can have some food. This is a typical supermarket from Goa. And I mean, how to better get to know, we stayed in India, then to go to one of the local supermarkets, but we need to cross this street. - Let's follow them. Yeah, it's always the safest option. To
follow the locals. Wow! This is how it looks like... GLOBAL to LOCAL, A Goan Supermarket. Really interesting. I don't think it's that big, actually, but let's see. Hello! - Hello! Oh, this is what we needed. Oh, they have cashews. I love that so much. What is the most typical snack from here, from Goa? - Bebinca. Do you have it, which one? - This one. Oh! - Bebinca is a 7 layers sweet. 7 layers? - Sweet. Sweet. But what is it made of? - Coconut milk, flour, corn flour and eggs. Okay, and how muc
h is it? 240. It's the most typical snack from Goa. - Okay! 7 layers. I think it's a bit like spekkoek. - Yeah! Like the Indonesian layer cake, but I want to try it. I'm really curious. That snack is in the pocket. Let's find a quiet place where we can try it. Okay, guys, we bought the typical snack, right? So we're just gonna try it on the middle of the street because we're too lazy to go into a cafe and want to let you guys know what the real taste is. But the first step is to open this bad bo
y up because it's wrapped in so much plastic. So, like, this is layer one and then there's the second layer of plastic. - I think it's really oily. Yeah, it's very oily. I know, try to ignore it. - You can't ignore the tape. Guys, it's so oily. I don't know if you can see, but it's almost like slipping out of my fingers. I guess I'm just gonna... - I want to smell it. Oh, it smells like... Yeah! - I think... I think I'm just gonna have a bite. I'm not even gonna try to be fancy, I'm just gonna e
at it. It's dry. This is how it looks like. - There's so much oil and it's dry. But I like the flavor. It's a bit like Christmas herbs, I feel like. - Yeah! Right?! - It reminds me of chai, tea as well. Yeah! It's actually a good snack because all these layers, I think we have also different kind of taste, but it's super sweet and it's a bit too oily for me, but the flavor is nice, I would say. - I love it. I would give the flavor an 8 out of 10. It's just the consistency and the oil make it a 6
for me. - But if you drink it with chai, tea or a hot coffee... Exactly! A perfect snack for sure, but very oily. - You're also taking huge bites. I know, I'm like ah... And I love it. Look at this sign. Family restaurant and a heritage home. - In the heritage. Yeah, that's so cool. Let's see if we can find it. I think it's like very traditional and local and that's all the experiences that we want to have. I think we've... Oh, it's here already. Look. That makes me really happy. Okay guys, we
made our way all the way to the top of this restaurant. It appeared to be way bigger as that we thought, so we're now at the top floor in the AC room because that's what we needed. Gonna now have a look at the menu and see what they have. - Let's get drunk. - Yeah! - I'm getting drunk in India. We are so tired, we only ordered a Coke. Wisnu ordered noodles? - No! What did you got? - It's gonna be a fried rice. Egg fried rice. Fried rice, the Indonesian in him. You can't take it. You can't take t
he Indonesian out of the country, but you cannot take the country out of the Indonesian. But for us, it's only coke. - Yay! Okay, so we got kicked out of the restaurant because they were closing. We had no idea, we were the last guest and in all hurry, I lost and forgot my phone, but I have it back now. And we made it to our final stop of the day, which is the river. And it is so stunning, actually. I love it. It's more quiet because everything was getting so hectic, but look at here. How beauti
ful and serene it is. Janine is also overheating. We have our manual fan, but look at this guys. I love the greens here, the beautiful river. There's a bridge there as well. It's actually so quiet right now. We made it into a guitar store. I really want to learn how to play guitar. And here we have a small one. - It's called as ukulele. Oh my god, I love it. - I thought you have it? I have a big one, but I have it in the Netherlands. - It's a concert. It's a concert. So off beat. - This one is n
ice. - You can sing as well? Yeah? - If you know to sing, you can sing. Nice, so you can sing. - But I can't sing. I don't have nice voice. Oh my God, I love this though. So this one is 8500 rupees. We're gonna see how much it is in Euros. Oh, yeah! - I wanna be your left hand man...(singing) Buying a guitar in India. - Yeah! - It's a Ukulele. - Okay! What's your name? - My name is Anthony. - Anthony! - Yes, hi! - He knows everything about ukulele. No, but I love this one though. - So I am your
teacher. So funny. I found a new guitar guys. The yellow one. The sound is so nice and I can take this one on all my travels, so maybe I'll take it. Oh, I love this. I can't wait. This is so exciting. Look at all the different colors they have here. The flute as well. So problem of the day, this one has way better sound, but I do really like the stars and I'm not sure about the color. This one has less sound, but I love the color. Well I always say, I go for the inside, right? so then, I should
go for that one. - Yeah! Not to go for the looks. - We will enjoy it so much. Yes, then we will be super happy ladies. It's my first baby ever. I love it. I'm gonna do it guys. I just... I have to. - Okay, I'll just pack and get. Yes! I just bought a guitar in India. I love it. I'm really happy with it already. I can't wait to start playing. This is so good. 3800, how much is it? $42 I bought a... I bought a ukulele, it's not a guitar, but still, it's so good. I love it. I got it guys. - Yay! I
bought myself a Ukulele for $42 and I have a ukulele now. Oh my God, I'm so happy. - That's so amazing. Right?! Today was so much fun. I absolutely love exploring Goa. There are so many more Goa and India videos coming, so definitely make sure to like and subscribe. And as always, I'll see you in my next one.

As a Brazilian, this feels incredibly familiar... So much Portuguese influence on its architecture.

@parsingelf

This is my place and home.. Goa is very Portuguese,even the music, as that's who came here and brought their cuisine with them..I love Goa I love this place the people I miss it now I'm away 😞

@indrajitgupta3280

How can these kids get excited in the middle of a busy, built-up area, and see legacy culture in buildings and building colours? Such enthusiasm. Such energy and willingness to explore!

@Dan-xx5jq

The sweet you just had, Bebic, it requires a lot of work to make, as each layer has to be cooked separately. It has a lot of clarified butter. It was introduced by the Portuguese.

@ekkalovethelife2288

@cursinmariacorreia1077

Thank you for visiting the capital city of Goa, Panjim or better known as Panaji. The city is undergoing modernisation and to the Government it will be a smart city soon. Much as we Goans would like to smarten our Goa we have to face tremendous amount of beaurocracy, red tape, corruption and lack of skilled workers. We Goans aspire for a day when we could have fresh cities in areas that are presently deserted. However our gut feeling is that our patron saint, St. Francis Xavier will surely grant us this wish. Your comments were most appreciated and I hope the next time your country men tour Goa they will see the change. Thank you both once again.

@Ashish-il5od

I just love your stamina ladies superb, when I ask my female friends for a walking tour they are like no way .. and see you both are traveling so much on foot exploring the surroundings and getting authentic experience of the landscape. ❤️

@califrao

Looks like you visited panajim the capital/town) in the state of Goa. Lot of Portuguese influence probably reminded you of Mexico Goa is very touristy along the north side. Lots of beaches and spicy goan seafood. Check out the St Xavier’s memorial & Shanta Durga temple & Mangeshi temple.

@rahulduggal1709

Appreciate your down to earth and positive attitude on what ever you are experiencing. Keep exploring and sharing 👍.

@MrFoxboy7

You have to leave Panaji and go to one of the resorts like Candolim or that coastal areas where the tourist's go, much more relaxing

@fabulous1156

You are spot on with bibinca .. we usually distribute it during Christmas.. there are very few places which actually know how to make them properly...

@MohitKumar-rk7vt

Hello Gypsy in sneakers, Please explore the beaches of Goa. You Also plan to visit Shimla and Manali (Himachal pradesh) Ladhak and leh ( Himalaya). You love those states. ❤ Take care.

@velriafernandes3142

The bebinca that you'll had is a traditional goan desert , it's not a snack it must eaten in small quantities by cutting in slices. The lady in the store just made you'll buy it as a snack as it's price is more then typical snacks in goa .
