Apple has finally upgraded the camera lens of these non-pro models with the launch of iPhone 15. Now you get a camera But the thing is, what are the settings that you will get the best results by changing? So my friends, you have come to the right place because in today's video, I will tell you the best camera settings of the iPhone 15. So without wasting any time, this is me Sameer, you guys are watching iGeeksBlog and let's start today's video. Okay, the first important thing, first of all, yo
u have to open the settings app and go to the camera settings. So here is the first setting of record videos, tap on it and here you get a lot of options. So the most basic is In my opinion, 4K 30fps is the best, so my recommendation is that you save 4K 30fps as your default video recording format. So basically, the simple thing about resolution is that the more the resolution, the more clean and crisp the footage will be. But in fps, people sometimes get bored. Basically, 24fps is suitable when
you are shooting a short film or actually a movie cinematic look in your footage. On the other hand, 30fps is the most industry standard and every video, most of them are shot on 4K 30fps. If you want more smooth footage or you want to convert that footage into slow-mo in post-processing, then you can shoot in 4K 60fps. Because the more fps, the more slow-mo footage, you will have and it will run smoothly. Below this, you will get another setting option and that is show PAL format. Basically,
PAL is a different type of format in which video is recorded and it is useful when you are getting flicker while recording in your default footage. Because sometimes, the hertz of light are different and they can't match your fps. In that specific scenario, I will suggest that, you turn on the PAL format toggle. The next feature is very important when you record a video because that is enhanced stabilization. And I recommend that you turn it on permanently and never turn it off. Because when you
shoot a video, sometimes, what happens is that your hand shakes. The next feature is action mode low light. You should turn this feature on only when you are shooting in action mode and that too in low light. Because action mode already crops in your footage. The light doesn't come out so well but the stabilization is better. But after turning this feature on, your stabilization will be slightly better but you will get better light and better exposure in the footage. So accordingly, it is your
preference that when you want more bright footage or when you want more stable footage. So accordingly, you can turn this feature toggle on and off. So you have bought an iPhone, looking at its camera capabilities and you are the one aspiring cinematographer. Then you should turn this toggle on and that is HDR video in high efficiency. So turn this feature on only when you want best footage. I mean best in 60 FPS 4K HDR Dolby Vision 10-bit footage. Then you should turn this feature on. The next
setting is auto FPS. In my case, I have set this setting to auto 30 FPS. Because as I told you, my footage will come out at 30 FPS by default. And basically, this feature will match the light when you are shooting in low light environment. And will give better footage with better exposure and optimized file size. The next setting is lock cameras. And I recommend that you keep this setting toggle on. Because while shooting, sometimes your camera lens switches from ultra wide to normal 1x. So ther
e can be some glitches and jump cuts in your video footage. To avoid those, keep this setting toggle on. So the biggest claimant of reproducing colors in video is white balance. So the next setting is Turn this setting on only when you want the same color grading while shooting the video. Because this will lock the white balance. And no matter what exposure or brightness you have, it will not leave the white balance. That means you will see the same colors in the entire footage. So now let's tal
k about slow-mo videos. You get three options here. But there is a caveat here. If you shoot at 1080p at 240 FPS, then this slow-mo video will only be viewable in Macs. You won't be able to see slow-mo footage on Windows. In that case, I'll suggest that you shoot at If you want to shoot slow-mo footage from your phone. And if you want to transfer it in Windows. If you have a Mac, then feel free. Try 1080p at 240 FPS. Just keep in mind that the higher the FPS, the heavier the footage will be. The
bigger the data size of the footage. So make sure that your iPhone has storage. Next setting is Tap on it and you will get three options there. And if you have seen the starting of the video, then you will know which setting I will recommend in this specific scenario. And that is 4K at 30 FPS. But, yes, there is a but. And that is, if you actually want cinematic footage with that proper FPS. If you want that cinematic look that you see in movies. Then I'll suggest that you shoot at Because 24 F
PS is the FPS of movies that you see in theaters. So, with cinematic mode and with 24 FPS and of course with 4K resolution, your footage will look exactly like a movie. So, we have talked about the settings that you should change according to yourself and some of my recommendations. But now let's talk about So, as soon as you go to Formats, you will get the first two options. High Efficiency and Most Compatible. You should keep High Efficiency only when you have a Mac. Because sometimes when you
transfer photos from your iPhone to Windows, which has been shot on High Efficiency format, then sometimes Windows can't recognize those photos. Errors can occur. That's why I am telling you to keep this setting on Most Compatible. Because after this, all the photos that you click, will be supported on all social media platforms, all apps and of course Windows. And you can edit them very very quickly. Next setting is And this is specifically given in iPhone 15 series. Here you get two options t
o click photos in 12 megapixels or to click photos in 24 megapixels. In my personal opinion, 12 megapixel is enough. If your iPhone's storage is less, I am again saying that if your iPhone's storage is less. If not, if you have a 256GB variant, then for sure click photos in 24 megapixels. And of course, the result is just mind-blowing. Because what does it do? It clicks photos in 48 megapixels. It picks up all the details from there. It pastes all the details on 12 megapixel photos. And all in a
ll, the photo that comes out is of 24 megapixels. Which is a very well-defined photo. And below that, you will get Resolution Control. So make sure you always keep this specific setting's toggle ON. Because in Viewfinder, when you open the camera app, you will get the option of Max JPEG or Max HEIF format. Because of which, after enabling this setting, you can click photos in 48 megapixels. And you know, the pictures are just perfect with this 48 megapixel lens. So if you're like me, who takes l
ess photos from his iPhone and shoots more videos, then one problem comes that whenever we open the camera app, then by default, we get the camera viewfinder. We don't get the video viewfinder. But what if I tell you that you can save the video viewfinder as a default camera setting. And that is when Preserve Settings come into the play. So basically, what Preserve Settings does is, whatever last settings you have toggled on or off in your camera app, it will keep it as it is. It won't change it
by default. Whenever you open the camera app, the video viewfinder will open directly. And accordingly, there are multiple options that you can try out according to your preferences. Below that, you get Record, Stereo Sound, and of course, always keep its toggle on. But its next setting is So this is a matter of preference. If you like to take burst photos, if you take more photos of moving objects, then this setting can come in handy. And you can toggle it on, press the Volume Up button, and c
lick photos in Burst mode on your iPhone. If you scan a lot of QR codes for payment or for authentication, make sure scan QR codes are toggled on. Also, keep the show detected text toggle on. So whenever you bring the text in your camera's viewfinder, your camera will automatically focus on that text. So the next setting is in compositions. First is grid. I recommend that if you are a beginner photographer, then keep the grid on. Also, its next setting is level. This is not the setting that Appl
e has given us. It will tell you that your phone is straight or tilted. Because of this, your shots will be perfect. So make sure you keep this toggle on. Next setting is mirror front camera. And I have kept this toggle off. Personally, if you want, you can turn it on. But in my case, I don't prefer to mirror my selfies because whenever I wear a t-shirt with text on it, it flips and it looks a bit weird. And you have to keep the next setting toggle on. And that setting is view outside frame beca
use it helps you to navigate the object you want to shoot photos of. Now, there are some settings that can be very personalised. What I recommend may not be right for you. But in my case, I have personally found out these settings so that I can share them with you. Coming back to photo capture. The first setting in photo capture is photographic styles. Here you get 5 types of filters. Basically, these are not filters but some algorithms that tweak your photos by default. They tweak the colour co
ding a bit. So in my case, I use rich contrast. You can use standard if you want. Or you can use vibrant. Or cool or warm. According to your personal preference, I have set it to rich contrast. The next setting is introduced in iPhone 15. And that is As Apple had claimed that if you are taking a photo of a person, a dog or a cat and the portrait mode is not on, then iPhone 15 will save the depth information. Because of which you can go to post processing. That means you can blur the background i
n the photos app. So make sure you keep the toggle on for this setting. And in fact, you will get a toggle in viewfinder of F which indicates that the depth information is being saved on this photo. The next setting is prioritise faster shooting. So you have to keep the toggle on for this too. Because of which when you click burst photos off and moving object, the photos will be clear. And the iPhone will not lag you. So that you don't miss any moment. And lastly, you have to keep the Basically,
this setting reduces the distortion of the lens when you are taking a selfie or video from the front camera. Similarly, when you are shooting a footage from ultra wide, or taking a photo, if the lens is being distorted, then also this setting will reduce the distortion. So make sure you keep the lens correction toggle on. So these were my recommended settings of iPhone 15 cameras. Do test them and let me know how are you getting the results, how are the photos coming out, how are the videos bei
ng captured. Do let me know in the comment section. And enjoy everything Apple content. And we also upload amazing wallpapers there. So that you can give your iPhone a new look. On this note, this is me Sameer signing off. And I'm gonna see you in the next one. Till then, bye-bye.

Looking for the same information from last few days finally found informative video.

@zisanahmed8347

Bro, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ? I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ? I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference. If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade ! ??
