it's been a familiar scene at the end of each of the past three baseball Seasons the Cheyenne Mustangs standing at top of Class A the SS come into the year as a three-time defending state champions now looking to do something that no school has ever done in North Dakota by adding a fourth consecutive State title the Mustangs will have some key pieces to replace just like they've had to every year during this Diamond Dynasty but this time there's going to be a new man in charge with Jason Bel bei
ng elevated to head coach in the off season he'll have a chance to make some history in this his first year in charge no class A team has ever won four state titles in a row no team had ever even three repated before Cheyenne pulled it off last season despite a Monumental goal at the end of this year this group is welcoming that extra pressure there's definite pressure I think our fans really want us to keep going and I know we want to keep it going you don't you never want to be that team that
loses that streak so I think definitely there's pressure on us but I'm pretty confident we can get it done as a team everybody thinks uh that we're the top dog and they're going to give us our best their best game and we got to be ready for that and I think we're I think we're going to be fine the Mustangs are heading South of the Border to open up their regular season they'll hit the road to play Washington High School out of sou falls on Friday night
