♪ He clothes the lilies of the field. ♪ We extend to you our heartfelt
condolences at the passing of our dear friend and
associate President M. Russell Ballard, a truly remarkable man, husband, father, grandfather, and esteemed Apostle
of the Lord Jesus Christ. To his children, Dad is
like a mighty oak. He is grounded and solid and steady.
Even in his busy and demanding life, he has always been there when
it mattered most to us. He carried a picture of the
Savior in his coat pocket, and he would
often hold it up and
say how much he loved Him and loved serving Him.
We are certain he and mom are already hard at work beyond
the veil. We love you, daddy. Take momma dancing. ♪ and do something more, ♪ During my recent
five-week hospital stay, three weeks of which were spent
in an unconscious journey to the doorstep of death, President Ballard
gave me blessings or visited or called the hospital every single day.
How do you thank a man for that? ♪ But go and do something today. ♪ I got to kis
s President Ballard's
cheek for the last time, just hours before he passed. One of dad’s favorite sayings
was, “Keep it simple.” My father's ability to tackle complex
issues was remarkable. His favorite scripture was John 14:15—
“If you love me, keep my commandments.” It doesn't get much simpler than that. The principal message in the hymn
Faith in Every Footstep, is an invitation to give service to
and build faith in Jesus Christ. This was President Ballard's
life mission. ♪ A marvelous work ha

begun to come forth ♪ The marvelous work is the restoration
of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Proclaiming the restoration was the
greatest desire of his heart. ♪ give heart, mind and
strength unto him. ♪ M. Russell Ballard was the most
dedicated missionary of our generation. We thank you for a lifetime of tireless
service, inspired teaching, and genuine kindness. ♪ Be still, my soul ♪ Oh, how we love President Ballard. How glorious it has been
to associate with him. Until we meet again, dear

extraordinary example as a covenant keeping disciple
of Jesus Christ.

My condolences to the Bollard family thank you very much for sharing this video with us. I remember when I was on my mission and our mission mom and dad allowed us missionaries to go to the rededication of the London temple in October 1992 and I remember president Bollard was there to help with the rededication of the London temple such a wonderful man. A month later after the London temple was dedicated, my mission mom and dad brother and sister Pugsley arrange for all of us missionaries whom haven't been through the temple to take out our temple covenants. It was a fantastic and amazing day to go through the temple. I just wanted to share this story with you and let you know how wonderful president Bollard was thank you again for sharing this video with us. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Great tribute to a great man. President Ballard is missed.
Bet he's really living it up now with so much more to do. He's got so much peace and joy with Jesus Christ and all the children of God. I'm grateful for his mission on Earth and hope my mission in the next life is helping out the Savior, even Jesus Christ more than I do now.
