Welcome back to my best mods ever series,
where we cover some of Minecraft's best mods for Forge and Fabric. There are another twenty mods to showcase
in this video, most of which are available to both mod loaders. As always, I’ll inform you of a mods availability,
and you can find more information, including their download links, in the description below. Firstly, we have Structory, which adds around
fifteen new structures into Minecraft. These include the Abandoned Camp, Boat, Firewatch
Tower,
Old Manor, Graveyard, and Swamp Ruins, but there are a few others. Over time, the developer hopes to update the
mod to add more structures. However, there will be separate add-ons, too,
so players can pick the type of structures they want to include in their world. One has been created already, called Structory
Towers. And it adds just over twenty new towers, including
the Wizard Tower, Pillager Lookout, Foraging Outpost, and the Lighthouse. Some structures can be found spawning within
the Neth
er and End, and if you do decide to install Structory Towers, it can function
without installing the core Structory mod. Another mod to improve already existing parts
of your world is Biome Makeover. It improves the Mushroom Fields, Badlands,
Swamp, and Dark Forest. It introduces new mobs, structures, equipment,
items, and Enchantments, and Curses. Some of the latest changes came to the Dark
Forest Biome, which introduced new trees, Owls, Moths, and a massive overhaul of the
already-existing Woo
dland Mansion. And you can expect to find changes in the
other biomes I mentioned, like in the Badlands, which now have Ghost Towns and are inhabited
by creatures like Scuttlers. Or you might even come across groups of Bandits
roaming the valleys. You can expect to find many more improvements
too, and this mod is definitely worth trying out for a vanilla-plus-styled experience. And you can probably expect to see changes
to more biomes in future updates. This mod will allow you to create a Target
Dummy from an Armor Stand and a Hay Bale. These can then be placed down, with them being
able to face sixteen different directions. You can strike a Target Dummy, and small indicators
will appear, showing how much damage you dealt and your current damage per second. They can also be equipped with armor, so you
can see how much damage you deal against certain types of equipment, so they’re pretty helpful
overall. One of the most interesting dungeon mods currently
available is Cataclysm, which is
sadly only available to Forge users. With it installed, you’ll find new bosses
spawning within the Overworld, Nether, and End in large structures like the Burning Arena,
Soul Blacksmith, Ruined Citadel, and the Ancient Factory. As you progress through each of these locations,
you’ll battle the Harbinger, Netherite Monstrosity, Ender Golem, and Ignis, all of which have
their own fighting styles and methods of being defeated. They aren’t simple fights either, as their
fighting styles can change a
s the battle progresses, and you might find that they can manipulate
terrain, causing you to take fall damage or summon magical Void Runes. Not Enough Animations brings in lots of animations
to the third-person model, which are usually only visible in the first-person view. You’ll notice these changes in many places,
like when looking at maps, eating or drinking items, rowing a Boat, riding a Horse, and
holding a Compass. At the same time, some new animations are
also introduced for mechanics li
ke crawling and climbing Ladders. And in general, animations should look much
smoother, and the mod will even place your Sword at your hip when it’s not being used. While already very well known, you might have
missed the Twilight Forest, a new dimension that can be accessed through a portal. Inside, you’ll find multiple biomes and
structures, with the core theme of the mod being progression. As you work through the Twilight Forest, you’ll
defeat the bosses in a specific order, collecting loot a
s you do so. You’ll beat creatures like the Naga, Hydra,
Knight Phantom, and Alpha Yeti. You’ll unlock new armor, weapons, and other
valuable trinkets like the Charm of Keeping, which can preserve items on death. Overall, the mod adds hours of new content,
and you can collect trophies as you progress. Incendium brings an overhaul to the Nether,
which is done using Vanilla blocks. One of the first changes you’ll notice is
that the height of the dimension has been changed, allowing it to reach alm
ost two hundred
blocks high. There are also eight new biomes, which include
the Ash Barrens, Toxic Heap, Volcanic Deltas, Weeping Valley, and Infernal Dunes. And exploring these locations changes the
feeling of the Nether massively, as they bring an assortment of new colors and particle effects
while still feeling immersive and like they belong. Nine new structures are found within the Nether,
including the Sanctum, Piglin Village, Forbidden Castle, Pipeline, and Ruined Lab. Within the structure
s, you’ll find some
mobs to fight, like Piglins and Illagers, with tonnes of loot to find. To add another RPG styled loot mechanic, Droplight
can be installed, which adds loot beams depending on the color of an item's tooltip. These are highly customizable, and I get slightly
better-looking results when turning off my shaders. You can customize item beam colors or allow
the mod to rely on tooltips. Another interesting change is that the physics
of dropped items is overhauled, allowing them to ro
ll in the air before floating on the
ground. One of the most comprehensive Dungeon mods
available is When Dungeons Arise. Throughout your world, you’ll now find tonnes
of different dungeons spawning. And these don’t really stick to a specific
theme, as they actually differ from what you’re used to in Vanilla Minecraft quite a lot. However, they are made up of Vanilla blocks
and mobs. Some of the dungeons are huge and might even
take over an hour to explore. Some of the dungeons included with the
mod
are the Bandit Towers, Heavenly Challenger, Illager Fort, Shiraz Palace, and a lot more. And you’ll find them on the surface, in
the oceans, underground, and even high up in the sky. With ChoiceTheorems Overhauled Villages, you’ll
find major improvements to the Village structure. Firstly, there are just over twenty variants,
with Villages designed to match their surrounding biomes and themes. They should also feel bigger, more densely
populated, and feature interesting exteriors and interio
rs. Within a biome, you can find Villages that
can come in different sizes, which are small, medium, and large. And generally, they feel a lot more immersive
and exciting to explore, especially in Biomes like the Jungle, where they reach high into
the tree-tops or the Desert, which has brought lots of life in the form of vines, trees,
and bushes. Similar changes are also brought to Pillager
Outposts. These too will have a different design depending
on their biome. So from now on, expect them to
look like different
forts and towers, with around fourteen different variants. Rotten Creatures brings an excellent expansion
to Zombies, with many new variants now available. These include the Frostbitten, Undead Miner,
Swampy, Burned, Glacial Hunter, Mummy, Dead Beard, and the Immortal. They aren’t just simple recolors either,
as they each have different spawning conditions, behaviors, and drops, while there are multiple
variants of the same zombie. One example is the Swampy, which spawns in
S
wamps. They can apply blindness and poison and also
move faster on water. At the same time, Zombies that die in lava
can turn into Burned. These also have a Crazy variant when their
health is low or an Obsidian variant if they come in contact with water. SecurityCraft adds an assortment of items
and blocks that will protect your base. One of the most interesting is cameras, which
can be paired with a monitor to look through them, allowing you to watch an area or other
players. Items like the Uni
versal Block Reinforcer
can be used to make blocks unbreakable, protecting them from griefing. If you want to grief instead, then there are
multiple explosive blocks like mines or other blocks which are disguised as explosives. Alarms can be triggered with Redstone to alert
you if someone is trespassing. And there are some other Redstone-related
blocks, like Password Protected Chests, Keycard Scanners, and Keypads. Travelers Titles really adds another RPG feel
to Minecraft. When entering a new B
iome, it will appear
on the screen before fading away, like you’ve discovered a new area, and it even has support
for all modded biomes. A similar effect is given when entering a
new dimension, and there is support for several dimension-adding mods. Waystones are a new block that you can find
naturally spawning in your world, mostly around Villages. But you can also craft them using Stone Bricks,
Obsidian, and a Warp Stone. When interacting with a Waystone, it will
be activated, and it’s compati
ble with the previously mentioned Travelers Titles mod. With multiple Waystones activated, you can
quickly travel between locations in your world, like other player bases or essential structures. Other items are included, such as Warp Scrolls,
which will allow you to teleport from anywhere in the world. And some customization options are available,
such as different designs of Waystones and the ability to rename them. Deeper and Darker brings an expansion to the
Deep Dark with the introduction o
f a new dimension that can be accessed within Ancient Cities. You’ll find some new biomes there, such
as the Echoing Forest, Otherside Deeplands, and the Overcast Columns. The dimension is dark and filled with hostile
mobs like Phantoms and some new Sculk-themed creatures. Or you might find the Ancient Temple, which
contains loot like the Sculk Transmitter, which can open Chests remotely. Other loot that can be obtained from the mod
includes a complete set of Warden equipment. Or the Soul Elytra
, which will randomly give
boosts like a Firework Rocket would. And you can find a more in-depth showcase
of this mod on my channel. 15 Towers of the Wild has always been a personal
favorite of mine, although it stopped receiving updates in its mod form a while back. Instead, it’s now available as a Datapack,
meaning you can use it with Forge, Fabric or even Vanilla Minecraft. It adds large towers into the game, inspired
by those found in Zelda Breath of the Wild. There are a few styles for diff
erent biomes,
or you can even come across abandoned and ruined towers. At the top is a Chest, and if you have the
previously mentioned Waystones mod installed, a Waystone can also be found at the top, turning
them into fast-travel locations. An extra mod exists called Towers of the Wild
Additions, which also adds these towers into the Nether and End Dimensions. If you want to overhaul world generation without
changing Minecraft too much, then you’ll like Tectonic. It keeps the world and its biom
es intact while
simply making the terrain more dramatic, allowing huge mountains and valleys to form, with biomes
also feeling much bigger. No new blocks are added with the mod, although
it did feature custom trees up until recently, and these have been removed in a recent update
to allow the mod to focus solely on terrain generation. You might also find some changes below the
surface, with underground rivers stretching for hundreds of blocks. Another environmental change comes with Better
Folia
ge, with the first change coming to Leaves, which should look bushier. But you can also find leaf particles falling
from their blocks, which is a nice ambient effect. Some small changes are brought to the Cactus
too, giving them more depth. When exploring greener biomes, they should
look more dense, with additional grass tufts being visible. And there are a few other minor changes, like
improved lily pads, and souls rising from Soul Sand, and this is a client-side mod. Immersive Armor adds ten s
ets of armor into
Minecraft, blending nicely with the Vanilla game. These include the Slime, Warrior, Robe, Steampunk,
Divine and Wooden sets. Instead of being simple recolors, these feature
some custom models that look cool. They provide different set effects too, like
how Skeletal armor will stop Skeletons from attacking you. Whereas others will give explosion resistance,
bonus axe damage, and other new effects, like Spike Damage provided by the Prismarine Set. Some sets are even dyeable, givi
ng you further
customization. No matching weapons are added, as it only
adds the armor sets, but it would pair nicely with some RPG themed mods. And all of the pieces can be crafted with
vanilla ingredients. With More Babies installed, thirty additional
mobs are added into the game, which are baby variants of existing creatures. These include Bats, Dolphins, Guardians, Parrots,
Iron Golems, Witches, Spiders, and even Ravagers. By default, they have a five percent chance
of spawning, and a one hu
ndred and fifty percent movement speed buff, both of which can be
configured. So again, this mod is going to be great for
just improving the vanilla experience, and having equivalents to the already existing
Baby Zombies.
