Danny, why has he got Ferrari and Lamborghini in its sights? This sounds very ambitious from behind. Yeah, absolutely. They're trying to push heavily into this luxury segment. More expensive cars, particularly expensive EVs. It's bread and butter and it's pushing into areas where it can deliver much higher margins, deliver better profitability, and, of course, being known for affordable cars. So by targeting luxury cars and particularly this time a luxury supercar, they think they can really tak
e on the likes of the European supercars such as Ferrari, such as Lamborghini. And yeah, this is expensive supercar It's most expensive. Yeah, and fascinating. Some of the stats you can get to 0 to 100 kilometres now in 2.3 6 seconds and a top speed of almost 310 kilometres an hour. So it's a pretty good going for a first fully electric sports car. And as you see, the rivals such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, they're still developing of their products. They do have ambitions, but right now some of th
ese cars are in development still concepts or not quite there as a fully electric, only a hybrid. So yeah, if be taking the first blow here on what is a very important market particularly as a start selling out in China. Yeah that that as well as the price tag really stood out to me 0 to 100 and under 2.4 seconds. That is that is quite, that is quite something that's remarkable. This is a company better known it's the biggest TV maker in the world by video build your dreams. But largely that is
the affordable segment. So why push out into into high luxury super and top end and the most expensive autos? What does it matter for Bhiwadi? Yeah. I mean, right now, by pushing into this more expensive segment, it's going through what is a ferocious price for, particularly on the more affordable EVs. Now, many, many players are and there's not so much competition in the high end space, particularly when it comes to electric vehicles. So by delivering better margins and better products that can
sell well, it has the money, that financial firepower to keep cutting its prices in the mass market segment in China. Right now, demand is a little bit weak across the board for consumers when it comes to whether they will buy expensive cars. However, BYD is really pushing and trying to really push out competitors as it remains the leader in EVs and autos in the world's biggest autos market.

BYD makes good EVs. Their Seal blows the Model 3 out of the water. Tesla is facing serious competition.

@JigilJigil

Chinese EVs catch fire all the time, and BYD has the highest fire incidents among all the EV brands.

Beastly power. ❤

@AhmetTekin101

The future of BYD electric cars outside China is still uncertain. BYD cars are copycats and have not been proven to be safe. Currently, they are mostly sold in Russia where most Western companies had left.

@3DThrills

Still slower than a Tesla? Wasn't expecting that.

@lastChang

Batteries in these Chinese electric cars come from the Xinjiang region, where they are produced by: - coal-fired plants and - Uyghur forced labor in their production.

@Nicoleoliver294

What is the hype I don't know, Italy's Pininfarina Battista is a limited edition with only 150 million produced hyper car with 1900 bhp motor per wheel, the fastest hyper electric car in the world.

@polipop1113

Most EV can go 0-60 in 3 sec. Does an EV sports car make sense?

@valerianteritron4424

Wow, weaker acceleration than a Telsa Model S Paid? Just a car that look like a highend sports car, but isn't. They must be doing something wrong with that amount of power and a car shape of a sports car, but still not out accelerate the Plaid? So it can only be Tesla's engines that are from a different level. BUT, every electric car is a good car. And it looks good as well.

@2BaGsBLURREDEPUPIL

Giv me one freeeeee

@kimtran8326

Tofu car?

@Seventh7Art

This car cannot beat the performance of a Tesla Model S Plaid and it costs twice as much? BYD doesn't really compete much....

@directxxxx71

RIP Western ICE manufacturers

@obobst

Slower than a Tesla Model S Plaid 😂. Which costs usd 88’000.

@protagonist9716

Bye bye West hello China

@ArabicReja973

For Chinese BYD cars, the Chinese government can remotely control your car's brake system.
