10 Horror Movies I'm Excited For In 2024

w the title you know what we're going to talk  about this is my top 10 2024 horror films that I'm excited to see number 10 Jordan peele's Untitled  movie now there isn't a lot known about this next film his fourth film it's kind of weird It Feels  Like Jordan pill has been around directing for a long long time but this is going to be the four  feature film of Jordan Peele and even though it hasn't been confirmed that it's going to be  a horror film there has been rumors early on in the year sayi

ng that his fourth film was going  to be a horror film set during Christmas time and that he was going to play on the Christmas genre  the Christmas movie genre which is a movie genre that I really really like watch out for uh late  November early December where we're going to be talking about all Christmas movies but for me  Jordan Peele has gotten better with each film that he has released get out was amazing a modern  day Masterpiece if you will very Hitchcock in at the time when it came out

I know still a lot  of people really don't get the hype because a lot of people hyped up get out and then they  watched it like I don't get it and it's one of those films where it's like you know um if you  experience certain things throughout your life you you might uh get it more than other people and  even though there is a lot of contention when it comes to his second film us I for me personally  I really enjoy that film and every time I watch it I pick up on something new and it makes me as

k  different questions whether or not if Jordan Peele was trying to protray this with this certain  scene and his latest film nope which I really really enjoy it was like definitely up there in  my top favorite films of 2022 and I I think it's a masterpiece another Masterpiece all three I  mean it's so much so that I went to go bu all three on 4K but I'm really excited to see what  Jordan Peele does I feel like at this point uh he can't miss number nine trap trap is going to be  directed by Mite

shamalan and this is going to be his 16th film he has so many and the only thing  that we know about this film is that it's going to be a psychological film set at a concert so  uh just with that little tiny bit of information that we got now plus inight shamalan you already  know that it's going to be at least the very least interesting and this is part of a new deal with  war Warner Brothers that em shamalan has uh he has been with universal for his last couple of films  I think it was like o

ld uh the visit and knock at the cabin all under the universal umbrella and  I feel like Mite shyamalan's last couple of films hasn't been my jam I think the most recent one  that I actually enjoyed a lot from him was the visit but the reason why he is on this list for  me is because I grew up with Mite shamalan films I feel like his first couple of films where he got  mainstream you know the six Lady in the Water The Village signs I think those films are top tier  inight Shyamalan films and lik

e I said I grew up with him and it was kind of like a vent for  my household when there was a new ight Shyamalan film my mom introduced me to this director I  don't know how she got into it I just know one day I was watching to six sense and then I was  watching The Village and then I was watching Lady in the Water and then I was watching signs just  all those films I feel like I was just watching in rotation throughout my middle school and High  School age I don't know so I have like fondness f

or those films and this director in my heart  himnight actually talked a little bit about his new movie trap in an interview with nme where he  said I have a new idea that I've started writing it's out in 2024 it's very very exciting it's a  thriller it's very unusual and very new compared to what I've been trying to do recently but I'm  feeling very excited about the story so much so that I can't wait to tell you guys and that right  there he's saying himself that this is going to be something

totally different than what he has been  doing before and that to me suggests or at least makes me hope that it's going to be an original  story by ight and I think that's where he shines the most M night's most recent films have been  adaptations from either short stories or just F length novels I feel like the last original film  that we got from ight was glass and that was the encap of his like like unbreakable Trilogy you  had unbreakable split then glass and I really want original M might s

ham Lineback so if we get  that with trap I'm going to be very very happy number eight return to Silent Hill James has been  devastated after being separated from his soulmate and receives a mysterious letter that leads him  back to the town called Silent Hill where he hopes to find her however he discovers that the town has  been changed by some unknown malate force and as he delves deeper into the town he finds terrifying  figures both familiar and unfamiliar doubting his own mental stability

he tries to comprehend  reality and hopes to stay strong enough to rescue his beloved return to Silent Hill is directed by  Kristoff Gans who directed the first Silent Hill film which was amazing by the way if you haven't  heard of the Silent Hill series before it is a video game series by the publisher Konami and  it's very well known and held in high regard in the horror game community and the first film when  it was released I know a lot of people were really excited and even though the criti

cs didn't really  appreciate it at the time I feel like the fans really were drawn to the first Silent Hill film so  much so that it did really good at the box office and we got a second film Silent Hill Revelations  I think it's called um yeah the fact that I don't remember the exact name of that movie can probably  tell you a lot but I'm really excited that they're bringing back the original director from the  first film because that first film is so good and I really think that it encap a lot

of Silent Hill  at the time I mean that was movie was like in the early 2000s and now with the whole technology that  we got now and all the CGI effects I think this movie is going to be something special number  seven smile 2 smile 2 is going to be directed by Parker Finn who also directed the first film  and I feel like smile was a sleeper hit at least for me cuz I remember watching the trailers to  smile and I was like dude this is going to suck like this is going to be a bad movie and I lik

e  horror movies that they're so bad that it's good but this one just looked too cheesy and that it  was going to take itself too seriously that the so bad that it's good aspect of it is probably  not going to be there but I got to say I watched the film and I was like okay you know what this  is actually working for me the concept that they put in here about like mental illness and Trauma  and how people deal with trauma and then they mask it with a smile I thought thought it was genius  it was

like watching a band that you idolize for years and you finally get enough money to watch  them live in concert and they were just as good as you imagined I don't know why I went with that  analogy but that's how I feel about it and Parker Finn did an interview with den of geek where he  said the last thing that I ever want to do is just directly repeat myself or retread ground  that I've already gone before I wanted to feel very unexpected and exciting and fresh in a way  that might catch audi

ences off guard and make sure that the film has a brand new bag of tricks  up its sleeve and I really like what he is saying here you know you always hope and wish that the  sequel for a film that you really enjoyed isn't going to just do the same thing over and over  again and the fact that he wants to add new stuff and new elements to the sequel makes me think it  makes me excited as well but makes me think that we're not going to get like a real like a direct  direct sequel we're not going to

probably follow the same characters that we did in the first film  maybe it's a whole new set of people you know that are dealing with this smile thing you know maybe  it's going to be a totally different type of film entirely maybe it's not going to even be called  smile so I'm really interested to see how they're going to go with this one but Parker fin is a  newer director and I'm really you know invested to what he's going to do next because smile was  such a good film I just can't wait num

bably grew up watching her D movies too and so  if she can take tap into that and then translate that to screen with her own version own twist  and this concept sounds really fun cuz I love Creature Feature films so it's very simple premise  but they can do a lot of things with this you know she could do a lot of stuff so I'm really excited  to see imai shyamalan's daughter isna do something in the film world but yeah if you haven't noticed  already rating I'm really excited for this even though

we don't know that much about the film The  only thing that we know that you know we know the director we know the plot or synopsis a little bit  and we know that it's going to be starring Dakota Fanning and George Campbell um Dakota Fanny is  amazing so you know I grew up with her too so it's just a very nostalgic trip number five Untitled  Ghostbusters afterlife sequel so Ghostbusters afterlife sequel is going to be directed by Gil  Ken also written by him along with Jason wman who directed t

he first Ghostbusters afterlife film  and as of recording this video there has been some rumors that are coming out that the official  title has been released of the Ghostbusters movie the new one and it's supposed to be like Battle  of the ice Giants or something like that I don't know the exact one I just been seeing it thrown  here and there around the internet webs so right now it's not been officially confirmed by Sony  uh but it's been thrown out there that has to do something with ice bec

ause we got a poster and  it showed the Ghostbusters logo in ice so the fact that the titles are coming out that it has  something ice related is not really that much of a shocker so you know people could just make up  stuff so I could say Ghostbusters a winter Tundra and you know people are like oh hey that might  be right because the poster has ice but if the official title does come out when this video  is posted just know that that's the movie I'm talking about and uh I recorded this before

that  news happened and I enjoyed Ghostbusters afterlife I wasn't over the moon about it but I was excited  to jump back into this world of Ghostbusters and I think the world that Jason wman built and created  for us is interesting and I want them to go deeper into that and I think we got hints and flashes  of what that world would look like with this new gustbuster I I'm really interested to see what  they're going to do and the whole ice aspect that sounds pretty cool to me so I'm hyped number

o go push pause on this video go watch the trailer to that movie because it's unexpectedly  looking really really fun and I was wondering why does this look cool why does this look up my alley  I mean who's behind this and I looked and I saw the the writer of this film and it's legendary  writer Diablo Cody and say what you will about Diablo Cody you know some of her most recent  stuff but I feel like Peak Diablo Cody like mid 2000s you know Jennifer's Body Juno and I still  have faith in Diablo

Cody that she can pull out something amazing and this film looks like it's  going to hearken back to those days of like I said Jennifer's Body Juno and stuff I really don't  get that hyped for romantic comedies cuz it's just not my jam you know romantic comedy is not really  Jam though I've watched plenty in my lifetime I mean I grew up in the late '90s early 2000s so I  mean that's all they were playing in theaters as ROM comes but I think I'm more hyped that this is  going to be Robin William

s daughter Zelda Williams directorial debut and this is like you know her  first step into being a well-known director I mean that's cool to be that's like amazing so I  can't wait to see it number three Beetle juu 2 now talk about a movie that has been rumored since the  first one came out you know back in the freaking '90s this movie I feel like Tim Burton has wanted  to make this movie for so long and now he finally is back in a position where he can make Beetle  Juice 2o and people you know

studos won't look at him like um you're the guy that directed Alice  in Wonderland right but I think with the most recent success of the Wednesday Show on Netflix  go watch it if you haven't watched it already Tim Burton as a name has been kind of revitalized and  you're pretty much getting the entire cast bag wi Ryder Michael Keaton you know the essentials are  coming here and even though we don't have any plot details of what this movie is going to be about  but we do know a little bit informa

tion about the film just with the cast members being cast I  guess you would say we have Jenna Ortega I mean they're already saying she's Lydia's daughter and  you have Monica beluchi playing Beetle Juice wife so just with those two those two people cast with  those roles I'm already my mind is swirling what this movie is going to be like because bej got  a wife now he was trying to make Lydia's wife and now he has a wife I I I want to know what's  happening and I really hope that he has been ki

nd of like revitalized now that he's done Wednesday  and the reception with that and now he's going to go do Beetle Juice too who knows we're going  to get Edward's Scissor Hands too you know we're going to get like a live action another live  action franking weenie or franking weeny too I I don't know I don't know I know a lot of people  don't really like sequels and you're like hey do something different but hey I'm all for it if we  can get Peak Timberton again let's do it number two a quiet

place day one a quiet place day one  is going to be directed by Michael sori who also directed the movie Pig with Nicholas Cage Great  weird movie that was and this is going to be the third film in the quiet place franchise as well  as a spin-off as well as a sequel or prequel um yeah that's confusing in Stars Lup nongo Joseph  Quinn Alex Wolf just to name a few I mean the cast is stacked just with leitao Dongo you got  me you know cuz anything with Lepa I got to watch and the quiet place is one

of those movies or  film franchises now that when I first watched the first film of the quiet place I was like this  this feels like Cinema you know I get my Martin Scorsese on and I'm like this feels like Cinema  it feels like that Steven spill feeling you know every time I watch a Steven spilberg film even  if it's for the first time or not I can feel the cinema this I could feel it coursing through  my veins and I'm like this this is a movie this is an experience and when I watch the quiet p

lace  that's what I the feeling I got I was like this is an original movie you could just feel the passion  coming out from everybody you know the producers the writers director and all that stuff even with  the sequel quiet place 2 I felt that in it too and so I'm really excited to see what they're going to  do with this third sequel prequel you know thing spin-off they're going to do I just hope that we  don't get like a quiet place out and I think that this one even though you know it's the t

d I I feel like it's time it's time if you're going to do a reboot and you're going  to be serious about it now is the time we got the reboot SL sequel SL next installment in the  Predator franchise with the movie prey which I think is amazing film so I'm really crossing my  fingers that we get something similar you know not similar storytel but similar in the sense  that the movie is actually going to be good and with the director attached to this film I have  hopes for it because I really love

d Evil Dead 2013 and don't Bri the first film was really really  great too but this film has already have been seen a little bit of trouble because originally  it was going to be released as a Hulu exclusive now at the time when they announced that people  probably were like oh man this movie is probably not going to be that good cuz up until then the  original Hulu films haven't been that good there has been some you know hits in there I can think  of like a movie called run that was a really g

ood one and then most recently prey but now I think  with the success of those films particularly prey they kind of want to throw this in theaters  and they Disney changed their mind and said okay you know alien is going in theaters which I  do find kind of funny that they were debating if a new Aliens film The Ninth installments in the  alien franchise was going to be be streaming on VOD or in the theaters that that to me kind of  like blows my mind that they were even thinking about it but hey

they were and they also said  that this film has nothing to do with Ripley so we're not going to be attached to that aspect of  the the series so that makes me a little bit more excited because you know it's like a fresh slate  and the new thing that Hollywood is doing nowadays is the reels you know it's a it's a sequel but  it's also a reboot at the same time hence recel so thank you scream and that is it guys that  is 10 horror films that are coming out in 2024 that I'm really excited to see
