We all love a good movie that is set in one
location where our characters need to find their way out of their current predicament. This list
here is 10 thriller movies that center around a group of people or a person that needs to escape
if they plan to get out of the place alive and on with their life. They range anywhere from being
trapped in a business office building to being trapped in an elevator with no way out. There will
no spoilers in this video so you don’t have to worry about th
e endings being ruined by watching
this video! With that being said, here we go. Number 10 – 12 Feet Deep (2017)
Ever been to an indoor public pool such as your local YMCA or rec center? 12
Feet Deep follows 2 sisters, Bree & Jonna, who go for a swim at the Ketea Aquatic Center,
but Bree accidentally drops her engagement ring in the Olympic sized pool and they swim to
the bottom of the pool in hopes of finding it, but as they are doing this, the manager of the
pool doesn’t think anyone is s
till there and puts the cover on and leaves for the weekend.
Bree and Jonna must find a way out of the pool before it is too late as Bree is diabetic and
requires a shot or else she might slip into a diabetic coma in the water.
Number 9 – Crawl (2019) Haley, a competitive college swimmer, is called
by her sister to go check on their father back in their hometown as she hasn’t been able to get a
hold of him and there is a category 5 hurricane taking place in their Florida town. Haley runs
in
to multiple road blocks on the way, but she isn’t going to let them stop her from finding
her father. When Haley gets to her dad’s house, she can’t find him anywhere until she goes into
the crawl space where he is badly injured and needs medical assistance. The only problem
though is the only exit in the crawl space is the steps and multiple hungry alligators have
made their way in as well and are not going to let them leave without a fight.
Number 8 – 127 Hours (2010) 127 Hours is the true
story of Aron Ralston whom
is a mountain climber, but when he goes on an expedition on his own in a canyon in Utah, his arm
becomes stuck after a boulder plummets down and locks his arm between them. The next five days,
Ralston examines his life and does everything and anything possible that he can think of to free
himself before he dies. Aron must make his way up a 70 foot wall and hike over 8 miles before he
can be rescued. But can he complete the mission? Number 7 – Buried (2010)
Quite s
imilar to 127 hours in the sense that our main character Paul
has been buried alive and has no idea how he got there or who put him there. Paul is a
civilian contractor in the Middle East, but his convoy was ambushed and that is how he is
taken captive and buried alive. All Paul has is a limited amount of air, a cigarette lighter,
a torch and a mobile phone. Can he wiggle his way out of the burial and survive the encounter? Watch
the movie and find out! Number 6 – Gerald’s Game (2017) After
an attempt to reignite the passion in
their falling marriage, Jessie, the wife, is left handcuffed to the bed in a secluded house hoping
to have some kinky sexy time together. Sadly, Gerald has a heart attack right next to her and
all she can do is sit and watch. Jessie then realizes that she doesn’t know where the key
is to the handcuffs and the fact they are in a secluded house in BFE might mean no one will
be coming to visit any time soon. Jessie must find a way to break free, but she m
ust also avoid
being killed by a wild dog that figures Jessie is going to be his dinner. Can she muster up the will
to live and not join her husband six feet under? Number 5 – Devil (2010) Imagine being stuck on a
broken elevator with some of the strangest people that you have ever met in your life. Devil follows
five strangers that become trapped in an elevator in a building where a jumper just killed himself a
few hours earlier. The communication radio on the elevator is only one way and
the guards can speak
to them, but the strangers cannot speak back. They soon find out that there is something strange
going on and a lot of hints to the devil being involved in the situation somehow. The devil can
take form of many different people and this movie has you guessing which person at every which
way. Will anyone make it off of the elevator alive after the devil has his way with them?Number
4 – The Shallows (2016) Nancy, a medical student, takes some time off from classes and pap
ers and
heads to a secluded beach in Mexico to get her surf game on. Everything is going peachy right
until when she is paddling out for the last few waves of sunlight; a giant great white shark
attacks her and bites a good piece of her leg off. Nancy finds a rock that is out at sea, but
still a good distance away from the beach and dry land. Nancy must find a way to heal her leg injury
before she loses too much blood and outsmart the shark so she can make her way to safety, but the
jaws w
annabe shark isn’t going to do down easily. She must hurry though as night time is quickly
approaching and high tide is coming very soon. Number 3 – Circle (2015) In a gigantic, mysterious
chamber of sorts, fifty strangers wake up to find themselves confined in the building with no memory
of how they got there. The surprise is that every 2 minutes, one of them will die no matter what
and they learn that they themselves will be anonymously voting each round until the end. The
executions are
triggered by an electrical pulse that seems to be built into the orb at the center
of the room. The strangers slowly pick each other off by any means necessary and must choose between
human morality and survival of the fittest. There are characters of all ages and races so the
decision isn’t easy for the contestants, but only one will get out alive. Can you guess
which one throughout the movie? And who is putting these civilians through such a heinous event.
Number 2 – Nine Dead (2009) Commu
nication is the sole contributor for being the survival of nine
strangers who have seemingly been kidnapped by a masked assailant who tells them to find out how
they all know each other and they will be locked up until they get the correct answer. The scary
part is just like in Circle, one of them will be killed every 10 minutes so they must work together
fast and efficiently if they want to get out of the building alive. The people inside the room
come from all different walks of life and
they don’t even all speak English so narrowing down
the reason for being there is not going to be an easy task. Unsure who to trust, the prisoners must
rely on each other before the clock hits zero and they are all dead. Will they find the correct
answer for the assailant and will any of them actually walk out of the building alive? Number 1
– The Belko Experiment (2015)Belko Industries is a non-profit organization that aims at staffing
and seeking employment for any major clients that they
get. One day, Mike Milch, arrives at
work just like he would any other day, but is confused whenever they have many guards with guns
at the entrance to park. Mike goes inside where he greets all of his co-workers, but then all of
a sudden, a voice comes on the intercom telling everyone in the building that they have to kill 40
people in the next 30 minutes or double will die. They don’t take it seriously at first, but then
workers start to get picked off one by one by an exploding chip tha
t was planted in their head
whenever they went through orientation. All of the employees turn on each other with some turning
into madmen and then others trying to save them. There will only be X amount of employees left at
the end of the work day and are we even certain that they will actually get to live after going
through such a traumatic experience? Only 1 way to find out. Well that concludes this list of
