Is this for real? [intro music] -We're gonna do something different today. We're not gonna cook. -Really? -Yeah. That means Ian isn't gonna eat. -What's the point of going here? -Cut! [outro music] I often go live on Instagram so if you'd like to see me there, follow me on Instagram. Jerome, show a picture of my Instagram account. Somebody asked about the total cost of our camera equipment. I computed the total during that live broadcast. The total surprised me so I thought that why don't we com
pute for the total of every equipment - all of the equipment we're currently using, not including the things we used in the past. The result kinda surprised me, honestly. Here are the current prices of the equipment we're using 'cause I wasn't able to keep the receipts. Though I was able to keep some we're gonna use them. Before we discuss everything in front of me, I'll give a brief history of the things we used in the past. The first ever filming equipment I used was a cellphone. Jerome, show
a picture of when I was still using a cellphone to film. It was an old iPhone 8. When the pandemic started, all of us were paranoid towards dirt, right? My cellphone at that time was a waterproof Samsung phone and I washed it with water. Little did I know that its rear case had cracks. Well, I knew. I'm just stupid. Water got into it so it was a goner so when the pandemic started, I had no phone to use. Mama just gave me her old iPhone. That's what I first started using to film. Using my first-e
ver earnings from social media, the next device I bought was a DJI Osmo Pocket 1. Jerome, show a picture of that Osmo Pocket 1. After that, I used an Osmo Pocket 2. Jerome, show a picture of that. After that, we bought a Sony camera. This is what we use right now. Here's our gear rundown. We have two Sony a7C. Two a7C bodies. This is the camera 2 and the one is what Ian is using right now. The cost is P105,000. Two of that is-- Jerome, show the total on the screen. GoPro Hero9 with extra batteri
es. Here it is. There's also this GoPro Max Lens. The GoPro, along with its extra accessories, cost P24,000. The Max Lens' current price is P5,475. Always show the total on the screen, Jerome. Whenever we ride, this Insta360 is what we use. This is the Insta360. It gives this floating feel whenever we use it without the selfie stick being seen. Then, the motorcycle kit which costs P28,000. I was able to dig our conversation to see it. Then, here are the costs of the lenses. This is the lens of t
he camera 2 - Sony G Master FE 70-200 mm F2.8 GM OSS. This costs P169,000. Then, the lens attached on Ian's camera is Sony G Master 24-70mm F2.8. Didn't know we have this much Sony equipment.. So, Sony... #BakaNaman [laughs] Then, this is the first lens we bought along with the camera. Tamron 17-28mm F2.8. Then, for other purposes 'cause, you know, we need a lot of lenses. We have Sony FE 85mm F1.8, a Sigma 30mm F1.4. This isn't a good lens for our camera 'cause this is for crop sensor cameras s
o we have to turn the APS-C function on to use it. This isn't ideal for a full-frame camera like ours so we're gonna have to upgrade soon. Then, the equipment more important than the cameras and lenses - lighting equipment. We learned about it quite early on. Before, I even used a ring light. Here's the list of our lighting equipment. We have three of this Nanlite FS-150 AC. This is what we use for extra illumination. We have two of them right here and on the other side, we have a Nanlite FS-300
. We have two Nanlite 60cm Parabolic Softbox. Then, attached on that one is a Nanlite Lantern Softbox. It should've been a Parabolic Softbox too. This is what we used to use for it - -a Nanlite Umbrella. Just in time as it's raining right now. -[laughs] It won't open. This is worth around P3,000. I don't know what it's called. We just call it an umbrella 'cause it's literally just an umbrella. This is just to diffuse light for a softer touch. Then, we have some lights on the ceiling like this on
e that's about to go out anytime soon. We have a Godox FL150S. It's this one. Then, this one is a Godox FL150R. Then, this Godox FL100 which is previously installed there. That's our lighting setup whenever we're filming. Now, if we have something specific we need to illuminate, we have this little Nanlite PavoTube II 6C, we use it whenever we need to light something up like food or faces, anything. We use this one too. Godox LED 170II. It's perfect for outdoor purposes. Another amazing thing ab
out it is the battery of our monitor can fit in it. It's a good one. [Sings Infinity - Jaymes Young] F*ck this sh*t. It's f*cking hot in here. Next, let's talk about the tripods, mounts and gimbals. We have a Manfrotto-- this is a long one.. Manfrotto A2033L Avenger C-Stand Kit. There it is. It costs P11,200. Then, this Manfrotto XPRO Monopod Ian is currently using. It costs P15,300. Next, the tripod of the camera 2. This is quite cheap 'cause the price of this kind of tripod surprised me. They'
re so expensive, like-- I was that surprised 'cause they cost about P30,000 - P50,000. When I asked about this one, I was like-- 'cause they're really expensive. This is a Weifeng WF-717. It costs P8,500. It's still quite expensive but not as expensive when compared to the others. But I was told that would I trust it and mount my P200,000-worth of camera on it? Yeah. It's alright. It hasn't dropped or anything yet. Next, the gimbal we use whenever we make B-Rolls or when we're outside. Jerome re
ally likes using it. FeiyuTech AK2000-C, if I'm not mistaken. It costs P11,490. The clamps. We have Manfrotto 035C. Here it is. Just this part. We have a lot of this as we have one for each light. Also, it serves a lot of purposes. We have four of it. Each one costs P2,590. Then, the part it's connected to - Manfrotto 244 Variable Friction Arm. It's this one. Not including this part, just this one. That's where we attach our lights on the sides. We have three of that and it costs P6,160 apiece.
Reading the costs is exhausting my mind. I can't believe that this is where our earnings go. That is why I couldn't pay Ian his salary. Manfrotto MTPIXI-B Pixi Mini Tripod. It's this one. We bought it 'cause this is what Cong uses. -Remember that? -Yeah. I said, "Let's buy the tripod Cong uses." The truth of the matter is it's really easy to use that's why Cong uses it. This is what we use when we film outside. Next is this Joby Gorillapod. I forgot to look up its price so let's not include it i
n the total. -We use it whenever we feel like mounting the camera onto something. -I think you use it for something else. -No, I just use it as a tripod. -[indistinct] No. -Where has it been into? -I don't know.. that's yours. We just use it to mount the camera onto anything. Next, let's go to our audio setup. This is where we had the hardest time figuring out. We tried a lot of stuff 'cause people were complaining about the audio. We had an easier time with capturing the video 'cause it's okay
if it's rough 'cause that's just how we are. Meanwhile, the audio needs to be crisp. But the audio is decent now. Don't let them hear about it. This is our main audio equipment. We're using this Rode Wireless GO II. This is the transmitter. The receiver is attached on Ian's camera. Then, we have this wireless mic - Saramonic Pro B1. We use it for the Insta360 whenever we're riding. Then, Rode VideoMic Pro+. Ian is using it right now. It's connected to the other Rode Wireless GO II transmitter, o
nto the right channel. It picks up the kitchen sounds. This one in my pocket is the left transmitter. It picks up my voice so you can hear both the kitchen sounds and my voice. We just combine them during post-processing. Then, this Rode Video Micro. Why is there a grain of rice? Here it is, the Rode Video Micro. This is the mic of the camera 2. We use it for the audio synchronization. [claps] Then, Rode Lavalier GO. Here it is. It's this particular equipment. It's this lavaliere mic. I felt bad
when I bought it 'cause the previous one broke down. Then, when I bought it, I couldn't believe that it's worth P3,990. Almost P4,000 for one piece of lavaliere when you can just buy one from Lazada for like P50. Be we just let it be 'cause the output is decent. Then, a Zoom H1n. Here it is. It's worth P5,799. We used it in the past but we still use it as a separate audio device whenever we do voice-overs or whenever we're far apart. -We used it in Bohol, right? -Yeah. Last for our audio equipm
ent is the Audio Technica ATH-M40x. That's what Ian has on his head right now. Its purpose is so to produce decent audio levels. We can't just use normal headphones or earphones, because their explanation for me is that headphone has a raw, very flat output - no bass at all while the others do. With it, you can hear what the mic picks up. Then, our storages. Here they are. We never delete files since this channel doing well. We store all of them. We have two Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB. Here it
is. This is where we store the files after filming. Then, we send them over to Jerome. We have two of this. Jerome still has possession of the other one. Each one costs P1,999. Then, we have three Western Digital 1TB HDDs. Here they are. Then, one Western Digital 4TB HDD. Also, we have one Western Digital 6TB. It costs P8,800. Seagate 4TB HDD which costs P5,350 apiece. Then, our SD cards. -We lose a lot of SD cards. -"WE"? You lose a lot, don't try to put the blame on us too. -Why are you blam
ing me? -'Cause it's totally not me. We lose a lot of SD cards. How many did we lose previously? I think we've lost like 8 in total. Currently, we have 6. It should've been 7 but we lost one just previously. SanDisk Extreme PRO 64GB and we have three. It costs P1,750 apiece. I wasn't able to include the cases but that's alright. Next, our battery setup. Here are the things we use. FX Lion 2-CH Mini Charger and FX Lion Nano Two. We bought them as a package. If you'll buy them separately, they'll
have a total cost of P34,000. But as a package, we got them for only P28,000. What a huge saving, right? Then, we have assorted batteries of our monitor. Batteries of our monitor, chargers and everything but the others are in the office. It'll be too messy so we didn't bring all of them out. I think the estimate cost is P5,000. I couldn't recall the prices. I'll have a quick touch-up. [Sings Touch by Touch - Joy] Monitors. We have this Desview R6. This is the monitor Ian is using. This monitor
is mounted on top of the camera. It's there so Ian can see the footage better. The built-in monitor of the camera is too small. Then, the next monitor is FeelWorld LUT7S PRO. Here it is. This is the monitor of the camera 2. It's quite big because the camera 2 is positioned quite far from me and I need to see the footage too, basically. So if I'm sitting here, I can still see the monitor of the camera 2. Actually, we're gonna replace it with a full-sized monitor. -We need to buy a wireless one. H
aving a lot of wires can be risky 'cause Luna might just trip over it. -Get a 50"-inch one. A 50"-incher? Why don't I give you an SD - salary deduction? Then, miscellaneous. Assorted wires. I didn't bring all of the wires out 'cause it's one full drawer of it. GoPro Media Mod. I'm too fat that I couldn't reach for it. This is so we can attach a mic onto it. Peak Design Slide Lite Neck Camera Strap which costs P3,200. This is the strap on Ian's neck. I bought it with a heavy heart 'cause it's jus
t a strap yet it costs P3,200! But you wouldn't wanna use a cheap camera strap for a very expensive camera, right? Then, the SmallRig Follow Focus Ian uses. Go ahead. See how quick it moves? It is used to follow focus but the thing is we're always on autofocus so we use it to just zoom in and out. That's how Cong TV's vlogs used to be. There were lots of zoom action. Also, it gives emphasis. Also, zooming in and out with that rig is better than doing post-processing zoom as it has a more natural
feel. Plus the fact that zooming in and out with the lens will cause the camera to shake. Hence, the footage will be shaky. So we're using one wheel to zoom in and out in just one twist. Smallrig Cage for the a7C. I'll just show it to you. The rig where Ian attaches a lot of stuff on it. The total of everything is a whopping P1,056,714. Those are the equipment we use for vlogging, for the videos you watch. -I was shocked to find out about it, -Show us your face when you found out. "P1 million??
" I was really shocked 'cause I wasn't expecting that. But of course, it doesn't end there. We also have editing. I'll just show the specs of Jerome's PC and its cost. Jerome's editing rig has a total cost of P170,550. So the total cost of everything that we use to make videos that I need to get back from cooking is P1,227,264. I had no idea that the cost of everything we use reached that amount, because almost all of our earnings are spent on the equipment. This is the reason why I don't have a
car. This is the reason why I don't have a big bike. This is the reason why I don't have my own house. We really have to reinvest our earnings. When people first earn money, the first thing they buy is a car, right? That's totally normal. But it doesn't make sense in the Spreadsheet to buy a car. What's the amount of time Ian and I spend outside? Do you want Ian to ride a Toyota Hilux just to buy a C2 drink outside? We don't need that. According to our computation, based on the time Ian and I a
re outside, it will take 10 to 15 years before the cost of the car reaches the break-even point, not even considering the maintenance and gas. Sometimes, those fees can even be higher than the car payment itself. So it doesn't make sense for us to buy one. A lot of people ask why I don't have a car yet. That's 'cause I shouldn't. The Vespa motorcycle outside was bought for me by my mom. My mom told that we'll split the cost but I've paid her completely. It wasn't bought from the earnings of vlog
ging. It was there before I even started vlogging. So.. why did I do this thing? As a viewer, it is really easy to say that, "Your videos are amazing 'cause you have expensive equipment." That's true, but is the quality of the video the lone and deciding factor as to how much views we'll garner or how much revenue we'll earn? Jerome, show a screenshot of our Munggo video. That video has 100,000+ views. We filmed and published it just recently. Now, show a screenshot of our Kare-kare video. This
Kare-kare video has like what, 630 million views? I only used a cellphone to film that. Heck, I don't even know if I used mom's ring light for that video. Meanwhile, we used all of this for our Munggo video. So, what does that mean? [burps] [moans] Do we have to buy equipment or not? I think it's about controlling the things you can control. You can't control virality but you can control the things that can affect it. There's Gideon. So, do you have to buy all this? NO. I started with a cellphon
e. Like I always said, "Use what you have." This table isn't sturdy.. And honestly, production crew we've talked to always say this.. "It's the Indian, not the arrow." We don't have the skills so we compensate with these equipment. Well, we don't have the skills yet. But we'll get to a point where we can make amazing videos. But for now, our limit is here. We're hitting our heads on the ceiling. Here is where our limit is but that doesn't mean that we're learning. But if you can notice it, since
we started using 4K cameras, our output has become better. So we've had incremental growth as that's the most important thing - progress. We just can't stay stuck or remain in this position 'cause we're doing okay. We shouldn't stay here 'cause "we've solved the formula, this is a formula that works so let's stay here." That's not how it works 'cause people don't know it when they've had too much of something. So, what's the takeaway of this content? First of all, it might be use what you have
because even when we're in this position where we have a lot of equipment, we can't replicate the virality of the Kare-kare video anymore. Again, I used a cellphone to film that video. Meanwhile, we're using P1.2 million-worth of equipment yet we can't still replicate that. So... yeah. Use what you have 'cause you don't know when virality is gonna hit or when luck is gonna be on your side. Don't ever underestimate your chances of getting lucky. Another thing is aim for continuous progress. We di
dn't buy all of this in one go. We buy the equipment periodically. We started from a cellphone to an Osmo Pocket 1, to an Osmo Pocket 2, then, this point wherein we have P1.2 million-worth of gears. How can you connect everything? I didn't even know that we had reached that point. They just say, "Ninong, we need to get this." and I'd reply with, "Alright. Let's buy it." All of this is for business. Everything is an investment. All of this will have an ROI... hopefully. I hope you're inspired by
this video. Before, Kervin even told me that my face is inspiring. Remember that? He used to talk trash-- Honestly. When we were playing Ragnarok, he'd say that my face is inspiring. Now, I hope that what I'm doing is really inspiring. So, yeah. Don't ever underestimate your chances of getting lucky. Be consistent, have your "non-negotiables" and keep going. Move forward 'cause no one else will do it for you. If you need a motivation to get going-- I only have one motivation. When people ask me,
"How can you work everyday like that?" I only have one reason. That's because Ian is so handsome. Kidding aside. It's-- I think it's quite embarrassing to say this and I feel like only a handful of people have the guts to say this, but I just wanna have a comfortable life. If you can't say that out loud, maybe you admit it to yourself. I'm happy with what I'm doing and I'm happy to make you happy. I can do this everyday for the next 100 years until I'm no more. I can do this forever and I hope
that we'll be together for a very long time. That's it. Ninong loves all of you. I love you all but as a friend only 'cause I'm still healing. I'm sorry. mWa. [outro music]

Funny thing is, this is what most average professional photographers/videographers have. My friends who are already pro. photographers who have most of ninong's equipment just goes to show that his dedication to giving us entertainment is sublime! Salute, ninong!

@jecstrike

Ninong suggetion ko lang sa level up ng storage game nyo since napakaprecious ng mga data nyo. Go for a NAS device then next backup kuha kayo ng google workspace storage para sa unli cloud storage. Atleast by that setup may dalawa kang redundant backup incase masira ang hard drives nyo. Sa NAS pwede ma rebuild ang mga data nyo and sa google cloud e safe na safe ang mga files nyo. Redundancy is the key.

@KENCHARLES.N

ang paki ko ay ang content. ung quality sa technicalities more on sa kagustuhan na lang ng content creator or ng audience pero ang end goal talaga ay ang content. kahit iphone quality pa rin to, pucha papanuorin ko to.

@ejpunongbayan9539

Yung take away ko dito sa vlog mo ngayon, Nong, ay "Progress is progress. No matter how small it is." Kakayanin ko to" at maraming maraming salamat dahil dun. Ngayon gusto ko nang simulan na magprogress. Kahit pa gano kaliit yun. Kahit gano katagal. Mapapagod, pero tutuloy. Labyu, Nong mwamwa.

@ChieggaWigga

Kitang kita laki ng improvement ng content mo nong from switching over sa osmo pocket1/2 compared ngayon it really shows how much you value the quality of content you create. Nakakaaliw makita equipment mo.

@DonicaPalazzo

ganyan presyo nya pero PUCHA yung quality ng bawat VIDEO na binibigay ni RYAN satin 1000/10!!! damn ang SOLID!!!!
