It all comes down to this. 1950s Politics is the category. This is the clue. In 1959, Bob Bartlett and Hiram Fong each won a coin flip to gain this alliterative title. 30 seconds. Good luck. There were moments in this game where each of our three players looked dominating. We'll start here with Nick Cascone with $2400, he wrote down. What is a state senator? That is not correct, I'm afraid. His wager was $2399, leaving him with just a buck. Jake DeArruda is in second place with $14,400. He wrote
down, Also, what is state senator? We know that's not correct. So his wager of $12,401. We'll drop him down to $1999. Good news for Yogesh Raut. His response was what is president pro tempore? No. When Alaska and Hawaii joined the union in 1959. There was no way to know which of their senators was the senior senator. So they flipped a coin to determine who is senior and who is junior senator. So we're going to take something away. How big do you guys bet? Just $2001. We'll drop him down to 24,7
99, and that will put him in the semifinals. Congratulations, Yogesh. Hey, Ken. What's that thing that kids say? You mean smash the like, subscribe. and bell button so you'll be the first to know when we upload more great videos? Yeah, that's it. Do that.

@jrstocker3

Man, that was HARD. I feel like that'd be a 3 person wipeout in like 50% of the Jeopardy games ever played.

@justinm.1

I didn’t think that Nick was gonna do what Hannah did in yesterday’s game 🤯

@mr.timetraveler8784

I remember when it was revealed that the 3 day winners from Season 39 would be brought back for the Tournament of Champions, remembering the disapproval from the fans of both contestants, my first thought was, "God forbid Jake and Yogesh play the same game." I personally didn't mind either contestant and I was fascinated by how well all three played today!

After the Jeopardy round, Ken noted that Jake's score of $14,400 was the highest score at the end of the round all season, which I did know. What I don't know is if Yogesh's score of $26,800 without the Daily Doubles is also the highest all season.

@mr.timetraveler8784

Not so fun fact: This is the second game in a row where there was a back to back Daily Double where the second of which was a $10,000 bet and was answered wrong. This is the third consecutive back to back Tournament of Champions episode when the second of the two back to back Daily Doubles was a $10,000 bet, as Andrew He risked $10,000 attempting to channel his inner Roger Craig.

@saulchapnick1566

Tough but excellent answer for a Final Jeopardy

@TonyHammitt

Having never heard of either of them, I went for "Governor General"

@seanharding8315

Great question - I had not a single clue!

@tomwills3801

Lame final question, wonder if Jennings would have got that right in his heyday

@FourthDerivative

I kind of assumed it had something to do with Alaska and Hawaii joining the union because of the year, but otherwise I had no idea. This was a tough one.

@eyreaus2736

Feels like too wild a clue. No idea on that one.

@videoguy100

Quick question, have there been times in which the first clue revealed in the Jeopardy round is the Daily Double?

@Molson-xg9hs

Yikes, that was a clue I was never in the ballpark of figuring out. Just not a term that jumps out to you. Also…weird we’re seeing such big swings from 2nd place players….i understand they don’t know what the other scores are going to look like, but if you’re in the 12-14K range, maybe playing it safe for a wildcard isn’t a bad idea

@bellabliss1860

regardless of how you feel about him, yogesh knows his stuff. great game by all three.

@freezer8530

What is Class Clown?

@henrywong4843

Man what a repeated cycle within the second game with Nick going all in back to back Daily Double. This is likely happened to Andrew He during Game 5 within Tournament of Champions 2022 Finals and yesterday with Hannah Wilson betting $10.000. To bad most contenders in TOC 2024 didn't make True Back to Back Daily Double. Hopefully, Thursday game won't be so bad as Juveria will probably sweep Luigi and Kevin in a runaway but anything can happened but likely with elite competitors making into semifinals.

@vdoggydogg3922

Really good question.

@manodakshin6020

Yogesh going nuclear on the buzzer is proof that he’s never showed any character development since his original appearance. He better not be a TOC finalist
