2 hostages rescued, dozens of people reported killed in Israeli operation in Rafah

Israel's military says it rescued two hostages in a raid early Monday in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where civilians have fled to escape fighting in the northern and central parts of Gaza. military oper operation in Rafa should not proceed without a credible plan for ensuring the safety of the more than 1 million people Sheltering there and Marie well Deborah we know for months now you know as you point out people have been moving further and further to the South because that's where they've been told to go because it should be safer now we're hearing about the possibility of people moving back North what is the situation inside Rafa like right now well am Mar as you know we have
a team in Gaza led by CBS News producer maruan Al Gul who said that overnight they heard constant fighting not only in the heart of Rafa where it's believed the hostage Rescue Mission took place but across the entire city and it really has become a place of rising fear and and frankly despair so many there as you point out have been on the Move searching for safety now for over four months they get keep shunted from one place to the next often after they've lost everything in the in the strikes
um and ruer really was supposed to be that last stop hundreds of thousands shelter there those tents go on for Miles people are exhausted they are sick of running and our team tells us that they crammed into an area that is so overcrowded it's almost impossible to move there now they've been told by the IDF they can go to the north they can go to k Unice but that's also bombed and it's also on the brink of we've heard reports of people actually grinding animal feed to use as flower and even tha
t is running out um just heartbreaking uh Deborah thank you very much

@patwoodare84

Why don't Egypt open there border?

@evantorrence5471

Here's a question why won't anybody else let them in their country???

@Mike-tb3ci

Sinwar alone to blame!!!

@richietavarez1200

Wow, Gaza now looks like a parking lot. I guess they should of thought about that before October 7

@yahyaghafari4645

Please don't go south go north always lady.

@C-130-Hercules

The party has just begun. No leaning on the walls whoever you are. No walking through the party trying to act like a star.

@hellorg

Any update on how many innocent Palestinian children was killed today? Just asking......

@pushpitaprasad7641

why can they cross over into Egypt? its so close by and would be safe. Israel will not cross borders to attack them

@luci75d76

Go back to north ? What is in north? just ruins. At list in Rafa some aid come Israel But in north nothing can go. All roads are full of rubble. Where the heck this people to go?

@user-pc1gk7zb3x

If the idf doesn’t have soldiers on the ground in rafah and they only used air strikes how did they extract hostages? Someone is lying here.

@justliberty4072

Of course, those who moved south are being told to move back north. Hasn't that been the plan all along--to clear regions of civilians so that they can dismantle Hamas, and then move the civilians back.

@TammyMartinBLUE

Stop blaming isreal for the actions of Hamas! They must turn in the Hamas and not protect them!!!!!! Can Isreal not work with these people?

@carminjean5042

Absolutely now that the north is cleared they can all go north while Isreal levels the South and gets rud of Hamas

@robertsmith2956

maybe use your tent to hide hostages under as you take them to the border. Bet they let you out as well for saving them.

@Learning2Fly18

War is awful. Being attacked on Oct. 7th is awful. Hamas & Iran is to blame for this all. The world should demand that Hamas surrender and release all hostages now and you’ll be amazed at how fast this war ends. Israel is right to defend itself & rescue their citizens! Am Yisroel Chai!

@DiscoveringTheFoothills

Why don’t the Palestinians that are left tell the Isreal soldiers where the tunnels are and the hostages so this can end now?

@sicosico3426

Lies..Lies and lies 😂

@user-zo8sd6yl8n

Lord Jesus please protect the prisoner's and innocent people bring them out of there safely. Confuse the soldiers who are holding them so they can be taken to their home safely. But let humans turn to Christ for salvation. Bring peace to the the children of Israel and may the light of the gospel the hearts of their enemies. And if there are any unbelieving Israelies may they receive the Lord. Gracias Father we love and need you. Amen

@suzann5312

Why believe anything Hamas says.

@user-hg1qr7bs5j

Israelis have been searching gor safety for 20 years. They are exhausted and sick of the situation. So the Palestinians should move wherever they are told to move. Or not. Up to them. Once and for all this should be a done deal. Wanna live near Israel? Unarm yourselves!
