[Music] if you're a fan of all things automotive and  you've got a case of the midwinter Blues we have the cure a weekend in the Arizona Sunshine  at Barrett Jackson Scottdale I'm Bob Vara each day gets bigger here at Barrett Jackson yesterday we  broke the $200,000 barrier in fact three cars tied at 200 large including this 2023 Dodge Challenger  SRT demon 170 that was the top retail sale the top overall sale was this 2023 Chevy Corvette z63  LZ that rang the bell at $220,000 and here's the kic
ker every penny goes to a Worthy charity and  with that we welcome you to party central here at Barrett Jackson Scottdale for 35 years now the  400 Acres of westw world of Scottsdale has been home to the worldwide Marketplace for automotive  Beauty engineering style and speed and this year the 2024 Barett Jackson auction has been bigger  and better than ever today we'll have better cars higher prices and more excitement up on the Block  for 9 hours here on the History Channel and FYI so let's ge
t started at the epicenter of it all in  the auction Hall on the block with Mike Joy thank you Bob and hi everybody huge crowd here today  already and a very busy Place well everything is going up the restored cars are going to be  fresher and have a rarer combination of options than in previous days the Resto mods are going  to be wilder builds and so are the Customs but what's really going up are prices Barett Jackson  has been selling cars today for 3 hours before we came on the air and yeste
rday's top seller we've  already blown through that and Beyond with a truck no less a customized 1977 Ford F250 rolled across  the block 15 minutes ago for $22,000 expect today that six figure sales are going to be more than  Norm than the exception we'll give you a good look at these cars and trucks as they come across  the block and an idea of our opinion of them along with longtime Phoenix TV anchor and network TV  pit reporter Rick De Bru well thanks Mike you know I can tell people an awful
lot about the  Great Cars and Trucks that'll be crossing the block over the course of the next N9 hours but  the reality is you didn't come here to listen to me you came here to see the car so let's get  straight to it shall We Up On the Block right now we've got a 1972 GMC Jimmy it's a custom and it's  already sold here on our first car of the day at $52,000 nice SUV and they have been stars of Barrett  Jackson thus far this week will they continue to be so we will find out over the next  two d
ays now rolling up lot 112.1 a 1972 Chevy C10 custom pickup trucks are always  big here at Barett Jackson 72 Chevy up it goes now this is a four-wheel drive though it's  described as a C10 which would have been born a two wheel Drive well no matter and very  little of the original is left here here's an LS1 engine swap uh transfer case willwood  disc brakes an awful lot has been changed on this hounds tooth interior very sharp black  and white presentation yeah they've shaved the firewall and I
love all the great work  they've done they put on big brakes as well so they've get this thing stopping power it's got  a better shock system everything about this has been improved and if you haven't been watching  us over the course of the last few days I got news for you C10 pickup trucks especially the'  7s late 60s mid '70s these things are selling like crazy C10 pickup or the hot ticket these  came in two flavors now they were all single cab trucks no Crew Cabs like today but you could  ei
ther get a 6 and 1/2 or an 8ft bed Tradesman like the 8-footer for carrying capacities  Sportsman like the short bed truck and still do today last year for The Styling in this  particular generation it would change just a little bit in 1973 and once again  these 67 through 72 Chevy pickup trucks the c10s you know if you want to buy  one of these in mediocre condition you're going to spend $15 to $20,000 just  for a donor truck to build something like this wow I with you Mike 100 grand oh but it
means the world to that couple congratulations to them now let's join another member of our  broadcast team he's the host of hoo's garage here's Tyler Hoover here in the staging Lanes is  the bidder's last chance to look closely over the cars before it goes and cross the block and the  consigners they get to say their last goodbye say a little prayer answer some questions and I  was talking to the consigner of this 69 linkoln content earlier and they owned it for eight  years built it exactly h
ow they wanted very customized but absolutely beautiful the color is  custom this is the factory color but they add a little bit more Pearl and metallic and in the  trunk you can see they fitted what looks like original luggage but it's not that's where they  hide the battery and the air ride System since this thing is lowered all the way to the ground  and this is a piece of History here an end of an era because 1969 was the last year of suicide  doors you can see the very original interior in
there then the back door opens up the other  way so other than the air ride and a few extra little switches it looks very stock until you  look in the engine bay and that is a Chevy LS3 under the hood so a nice modern power plant  in a beautiful aqua blue color classic Lincoln Continental wow pretty car we're going to  be saying that a lot today now we're back on the Block for lot 1013 in 1973 Chevy Camaro  custom Coupe called project envious and look at the number already 160,000 this one was b
uilt  as a corner Carver with Forge Line Wheels big spoilers suspension upgrades and a full roll  cage you're not going at CCA or NASA racing with this car but everybody on the street is  going to think you could and probably should yeah it epitomizes the pro street concept the  the pro touring concept the ability to go fast and then turn right and left and stop when it's  all over underneath that hood up there 427 cubic in it's got a six-speed transmission to handle  68 80 horsepower I love the
five-point harness seat belts in there the roll cage everything's  been done to make it look better and drive better boy oh boy that price meter spins it's like a taxi  ride in New York City $180,000 and with that we go to April Rose hey Bob right now I'm right before  the pre-aging lanes this is such a cool place to be cuz you can see all these cars up close we've  got Resto custom trucks and ooh very beautiful Corvettes like this C2 1967 Corvette and you know  it's a big block with that Sting
er Hood oh that is so sweet 427 400 horsepower four-speed manual and  it's factory that sounds good Factory option with power steering off-road exhaust and my favorite  red line tires now this is one of only 1,096 Built with this beautiful and unusual color combination  of Elkart blue over teal leather I mean this is the perfect car to drop the Top let your hair get  tangled up in this Arizona desert I am loving this day Bob as are we all April who doesn't love  a big block corbette so here we a
re at Lot 10 13.1 a 2023 Dodge Challenger RT 392 Scat Pack last  call Shakedown Edition a new leader in the longest name competition take it Mike well Dodge has a  bit of Whimsy when it comes to the build out of these Challengers but only a thousand of these  widebody manual transmission cars were made and Rick this one's new in the wrapper 12 miles on  the clock and I love the color plum crazy just about everything to like you know the concept was  if we're going to go out you know if we're goi
ng to leave the Challenger and the charger behind  then let's do it with some style let's enjoy the way we're going to go it so we got these last  call editions we got wide bodes jailbreaks all kinds of things we'll see him over the course  of the next two days and $79,000 takes that one to its new home and with that let's take a look  at our broadcast schedule for the remaining days today 3:00 p.m. to 6: on the History Channel  6:00 p.m. to midnight on FYI tomorrow 2: p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern
on FYI and on the  History Channel from 6:00 p.m. to midnight be with us for the whole stretch you want be  disappointed coming up soon an amazing 1960 Chevy Corvette 283 270 convertible with all  the goodies and a beautiful blue with white Coes welcome back to Barrett Jackson  Scottdale Maguire's vendor platform to the Maguire staging Lanes where each  and every car of the more than 2,000 at this year's auction lines up with  its Brethren waiting for its turn on the Block and it gets a little s
hine  before it goes on and now here's a car that almost ran me over in the paddock the  other day it's a 1965 Corvette grandport Recreation and it's been knocked down at $60,000 hard to miss it fortunately so was I  now here's an item you want to check out from professional football player and wrestling star  and noted car guy Bill Goldberg and The Frank teague's collection this is a 1967 Plymouth  Hemi GTX yeah when Bill Goldberg is here and he's actually got a couple cars going across the  bl
ock over the course of the next couple days you know he's large and in charge he's a big guy he  buys big cars and this is a perfect example in this case it's a 1967 Plymouth Hemi GTX at that  426 cubic inch engine underneath the hood and of course it is made it up to a four-speed manual  transmission but it's also got power steering and power brakes cuz you have to remember the GTX  was more of an upscale car as opposed to the Road Runner which would come out of the Chrysler  World very shortly
and out of the Mopar World very shortly and it was the exact opposite concept  let's skinny things down a little bit take stuff off and charge less money because the concept  being that those young younger buyers wanted something that they could afford but something  that had performance so as a result fewer people were interested in the GTX and more and more  people were interested in the road running but once again Bill Goldberg was a former owner of  this now it's coming out of the FR Frank
teags connection I like this car a lot especially  the color beautiful paint job looks like you could sink in it up to your elbows so the  auctioner is asking what Goldberg would say who's [Music] next and it's a perfect combination  you know I mean you've got maroon exterior maroon interior and the redline tires so from a  looks perspective and a performance Perfection it's exactly what you want exactly what somebody  wanted to the tune of $95,000 plus the 10% buyer premium and applicable taxes
great card now  let's join Mike Joy thank you Bob well it's Friday Craig Jackson and everything is up the  crowd is up the numbers are up the cars are up what are we looking forward to today yeah we're  starting to sell some of the cars from the Frank teags collection today you've got a 1971 Hemi  Challenger ultra rare so that'll be coming up today we've got a Cougar Eliminator with a 428  Super Cobra Jet triple black car that's another one to look for some outstanding muscle cars are  coming t
oday uh some K5 Blazers you'll start to see some of those and I know Steve wants to talk  about what's been some of the highlights already the prices on the pickup trucks and the price  is going to keep going up at the open I saw you talked about some of the high prices yesterday and  today the high price was already a pickup the SUVs and the pickups the price keeps going up as the  quality keeps going up Steve what makes a Friday car when you're looking over the applications  compared to a Wedn
esday or a Thursday car well Friday by the time we get Friday Mike as you know  Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday we had a lot of days and what we like to do is have excitement in  each day but ramp it up incrementally Friday is a is the absolute springboard into Saturday  so it's got to be something with some punch with some wild Power but also something that has  appeal diversification is keep key to the docket something for everybody I mean we've seen a  tractor with a flathead engine we've s
een uh every type of vehicle you can imagine but Friday  it's quality it's the provenance in some cases but more importantly it's teeing up Super Saturday  with a fantastic friday you fellas have been at this a long time what have you seen that's really  been a surprise to you over the last oh 24 hours oh you saw something like that uh night the modern  Corvette made to look like a 1963 not only had one had two of them go over the block they rang the  bell but the docket having yesterday 254 Cor
vettes on a Thursday go over the block the quality of  the cars the prices one thing I did say you'll see every soft I'll say you're you're asleep at  the switch on here I thought the two ebirds were a little soft and then you follow that up and cars  absolutely break the bank two cars later so you're seeing the car market evolve all right and we're  off to a great start for Friday thank you both and thank you Mike moment ago you watched a 1970 Dodge  Hemi Charger RT out of the Frank tees collec
tion go for $120,000 now we're on lot 1016 a 69 Mustang  428 scj or Super Cobra Jet R code so what happened to the shelbi's the gt350s and the gt500s of the  19 60s well tell you what cars like this that were coming out of Ford you had a 428 cubic inch Cobra  Jet engine with a ram air on the hood you got all the style and it came directly from Ford and  it was less expensive and as a result this car together with the car that it's about to follow it  really came to an end for those Shelby GTS th
ere was just no reason to to buy those anymore and  although Ford had assumed production away from Shelby American this was the performance and by  the way you got to love this color GF stream Aqua very highly optioned car with the three s's the  shaker hood the spoilers front and rear and the slacks wow 150 Grand we've  got another break coming up when we return more great cars from  Barrett Jackson Scottdale stay with us welcome back under the Big Top at the  Barrett Jackson collector car auct
ion here in Scottdale we're walking through the  immaculate Frank te's muscle car collection and here's another Beauty a 1964 Pontiac GTO  first year for the GTO option on the Pontiac Tempest silver mist is the color horizontal  headlights non-functional Scoops uh Chrome full cover Hub Cap full cover wheel covers with  the redline tires what a great look yes this is the GTO in its least expensive body style a  twoo sedan or as they sometimes called it a pillared hard top because the side windows
were  framed final top oh beautifully presented car as are all the cars in the tees collection  and one of the great debates of all time is where does the muscle car craze begin there's  people point to various cars from the 50s you know the Chrysler 300s but there's an awful lot  of people that point to this car right here the concept of taking a simple car you know Tempest  putting on this GTO option it's got a cool name more performance and suddenly everybody wanted  this especially when the
y saw how well it was selling I agree Rick there were a lot of Factory  specials and limited production cars and special options but the GTO John DeLorean created the  first mass-produced massm marketed muscle car and everybody wanted one this has the optional  Tri power 360 horsepower engine oh looks brand new down comes the hammer at a m $45,000 I  think that was a pretty good buy considering the circumstances congratulations to the new  [Music] owner no high fives but you can bet he's a lot m
ore popular in his row now now back  to the block and lot 107.1 from the Brian Frank collection this is a 67 Camaro custom well we said  the Resto mods were going to get Bolder with a lot more options this has a full uh Detroit Speed  subframe and suspension and boy it needed it to hold this 572 cubic inch big block Chevy engine  so this will have a lot more performance than anything that came out of the factory in ' 67  what do you think about the 1967 Camaro was a very forward-looking car I wh
ereas the Mustang was  built on the old Falcon chassis this was built on what was going to become the Chevy Nova chassis  in the future in 1968 there were some well let's say compromis had to be made because of the way  they were building it but when you think about it very forward looking nice chassis at the time  these days they throw it all away and see how far we can go use it as a template so they can  build something more spectacular having a brand new chassis brand new engine under here b
ut we  get to enjoy that 1967 body style when I started doing Barett Jackson some 20 plus years ago Ryan  Frank's dad Roger was bringing cars and restored tractors Across The Auction Block multigeneration  family restoration business now working into its third gen and what a beautiful Camaro and that  gentleman will pay $770,000 plus applicable fees for that beautiful Camaro now let's join April  Rose man I am loving life right now hanging out with all these beautiful machines if you ever get  a
chance to come to Barrett Jackson this is the one Scott sale over 2,000 cars going across the  block all week just like this beautiful square body 1970 Chevy K10 custom now I love the look  of these older grills with a stainless stripe that goes just across and the turn signals that  are integrated in there now the next year they went to that egg crate look but I really love  this old school feel now this truck looks stock but not under the hood right there you got the LS  with all the modern a
ccessories on it and even a modern Camaro engine cover to dress it all up  now this one's also been lifted to fit these really cool 20in XD Wheels 35 in Toyo Tires and  inside of course has all the goodies Resto mod air Bluetooth and believe it or not this is a  factory two-tone green and white correct paint everyone that walks by it keeps talking about how  beautiful it looks in person I'm telling you you got to put it on your bucket list make your way  out to Barrett Jackson I think we're goin
g to have to start calling you old school April Rose  April corv right now coming off the block a little extra pressure on the bidding we're at $65,000  on a 58 Corvette convertible first year with dual headlights only year with the tusks over the  trunk and the washboard Hood red with white Cove signate red I love that combination especially  over the black interior very cool car 6 5 grand I'd say it's well bought another break coming up  but the Beauties are lining up to entertain you all thro
ugh the day we're in the end of our first  half hour of 9 hours total stay with [Music] us welcome back to Barrett Jackson things getting  busier and more intense by the moment here's what the last three cars have across the block did  and look at the one in the middle a 58 Plymouth Recreation of the seavo that was the star of the  movie Christine from the book by stepen King I still think it's one of the great car movies of  all time sold for 160 Grand and right now on the Block is 10191 that T
yler Hoover introduced us  to a 69 Lincoln Continental that goes away at $47,000 L fun is coming thick and fast 283 2  7 here's our coming up car that we showed you before a recent commercial break it's a lot 1020  and 1960 Corvette 283 270 convertible Horizon Blue is the color I know that because it was shared  with the fullsize Chevrolet and my first car was an Impala convertible a 60 in Horizon Blue so  you got to love this mine had a white top this one has white Coes it has white walls has t
he  upgraded Corvette four barrel engine there with the aluminum valve covers as Cliff drops the hood  and a light blue interior God this is gorgeous oh it shows off perfectly you don't realize it just 6  years earlier there were a lot of questions as to whether Corvette was going to survive I mean you  know initially it was a small production run of 300 the first year and another 700 the second  year and they wondered well is it something that's going to last and here we are in 1960 and  they m
anaged to sell 10,000 of them and suddenly the Corvette was firmly established credit Zora  Arcus dunov the chief engineer on Corvette for continuing to push Chevrolet's revolutionary at  the time fiberglass body two-seater and improve its performance continually to the American  public the Corvette had what a lot of other sports cars didn't at the time a top that sealed  the weather out and windows that rolled up and down looks like an internet bidder picked  that up at 150 Grand good to know t
hat the cars I like are expensive and I'll probably  never own one now we talk all the time about how big and Broad and fun Barrett Jackson is  well just how big is it rick to Bru check the numbers we have a record number of cars here in  Scottdale this year more than 2,000 every single one of them crossing the block at no reserve and  while that's a pretty amazing number it's only the beginning let's start with the auction site  inside the fence here at Westworld we have 83 Acres that's enough
room for Grand Central Station  Windsor Castle the White House the Taj Mahal with plenty of room to spare under roof we have 1.2  million square ft that's enough to fit 18 football fields look down you'll find 880,000 square ft  of Swiss tracks flooring and more than 95,000 ft of cable to keep everything running there are  274 vendors from six different countries but wait let's talk about something that's really important  food there are 45 different food vendors with 78 locations serving just a
bout everything you can  imagine but let's get back to the cars you got 726 Chevys 326 Fords 185 Corvettes 123 Mustangs 115  Camaros we have 61 Broncos and 31 Blazers you want Customs 813 and of course Ferraris 23 of them the  numbers go on and on bottom line Barett Jackson is huge in every way [Music] possible wait a minute  lobster roll there are lobster rolls out there show me the way here's lot 102.1 as the auctioneer  tries to clear up a snag in the bidding it's John decino's 67 Auburn boat
tail Speedster Recreation  well I don't know if you can really call this a recreation as a stylized upgraded version of the  original Auburn bow tail of course the Auburn boat tail design to look similar to a boat you know  Gordon buug who is uh designing things for Auburn a long time ago came up and stylized the original  design now it's been taken to a completely new level yes the proportions are similar but uh  the car Bears very little resemblance other than the golf cart door right there be
hind  the right passenger door yeah that's what where you put your golf bag ofv 24 they can  pick the celebrity of their choice so whoever buys the car they're going to have some f in  Hollywood so there's an experience to go along with the purchase of the vehicle and let's see  if that propels the bidding beyond the current [Applause] 92,000 you know interestingly enough  when this came out in its original form it was towards the end of the Auburn day  you know ultimately they were wrapped up i
nto the whole dusenberg world dusenberg and Auburn  together and you know didn't survive a whole lot [Applause] longer quick backtrack at the end  there but it goes at $15,000 as you see right there as the Summit Racing sold sticker goes on  the windshield I like that a lot so there's a entirely different a 2011 KTM Expo R super  light yeah they call it a crossbow Bob and it's it's very very interesting and unique has a  coil over push rod rocker arm formula car style suspension there's a lot of
exposed carbon fiber  this only has 663 miles on it I would say Rick it's a future collectible and absolutely and  what this car is all about is power 4 to we ratio it's got a 300 horsepower engine now that's  not overly crazy but it only weighs 1400 lb and it's completely street legal you can get out you  can have a massive amount of fun yeah you don't want to be out there when it rains but a nice  sunny day in Arizona whipping around enjoying some side streets boy this is a way to go and  onc
e again it's all about that power to weight ratio I know in Florida you can register just  about anything with four wheels and a license plate light uh but check local regulations before  you get ready to put this on the street in some uh well these are four-wheelers so you can't  really register them as motorcycles can you or can you I see a lot of them on the streets  of my hometown of Atlanta 70 grand someone will have fun with that crossbow here's Tyler I'm with  lot 10321 a 1989 Chevy K5 Bl
azer that is almost brand new and with with the blueprint engine  cam let's take a look under the hood 5.7 L V8 a few years into electronic fuel injection here  throttle body fuel injection and this one only 20 mil on a little over 20 mi original belts hoses  everything so clean you could eat off this thing which I'm going to put my money where my mouth  is right here delicious but continue looking at this delicious K5 Blazer all original paint  and then the interior is even wrapped new in the p
lastic just like how it rolled off the factory  so this has to be the nicest preserved K5 Blazer in existence I mean even the undercarriage looks  brand new and just to show you here's another one wow all right we'll be looking for that Tyler now on the Block lot 102.1 is a  2020 Jeep Gladiator custom Rubicon customized everywhere most importantly  underneath the hood where they now have a Hellcat engine it's bumping out 707 horsepower and to get  that power to the ground upgraded eight Lug Dana
60 axles top speed tested 137 M an hour yikes uh  this has a 3 and 1/2 in Mopar lift upgraded brakes 40in Maxes tires off you go to anywhere you please  yeah exactly and away this one goes at a mere $882,000 plus fees and taxes really sharp paint  Scheme another break and we'll return to Barrett Jackson Barrett Jackson Scott tail is much  more than just a collector car auction it's an entire life style event complete with  rides and Rick's going to take us on the Dodge throw ride our own versio
n of the  Tilt whirl in what is this we got a Dodge Charger red eyee here making 797 horsepower oh  well that should break the tires loose pretty easily huh right Tyler here we goys let's  roll listen to that red eyee supercharged engine W that's amazing wao there's a  wall there all right y it's hilarious W how's that boss awesome well  I'm coming out NASCAR style feel like I won something need a bottle of [Music] champagne and once again Tyler Hoover  gets all the cool gigs Meanwhile we're sel
ling cars Lot 10 23.1 excuse me 10 23  which just hammered away a Dodge Charger $90,000 timing is everything now here comes a 69  Camaro Z28 well this comes from Mark Young House of hard tops up in Oregon and he specializes  in finding low mile cars and when he can't he takes and completely restores them so look  at this this is the Chevy Z28 Camaro just like Mark Don Hugh modified Pensky version won the  Trans Am Championship 302 cubic in Factory air reaction system the smog pump everything is
in place just the way this came off the line except this this is the dual quad dual four  barrel manifold and carburetors this wouldn't have come on the car but you order it through  Parts it would have come in the trunk they had to hologate to race them and that's why it has  this along with the four-wheel disc brakes oh this is awesome Lal blue rotisserie restoration  it's all right here yeah I got that great Cross Ram with the uh original Holly carburetors on  top of that great 302 engine an
d I love the color of dust blue everything is absolutely  wonderful on this car as it's rolling across the block a Z28 from what could be described  as the Pinnacle year for this particular car 1969 restored to original by a longtime consigner  at Eric Jackson uh who only brings Faithfully original or restored to original cars and this  with this base coat clear coat paint modern paint system looks much better than when it would have  rolled out of the Chevrolet dealership in 1969 and when the h

or something  wild good look at the front suspension on this it has been widened almost a foot on each side  to go rock crawling with what began as a 2001 Jeep Wrangler or 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited  what's the story on this well according to the the consigner sheet apparently this had a problem  you know back in 2018 where it was 2014 I guess it was considered a total loss they took this  and said well what can we do with it and this is what they've built and as far as I'm concerned  they've
done exactly the right thing take a car that had a problem don't try to put it back on  the street and just sell it again as a you know a salvage car have some fun and I wonder how many  original parts are left on this Jeep the big sand tires that sit up there where the bed might be my  goodness $80,000 takes it let's join April once again here's a car I know our beloved Steve minant  who is watching from home would absolutely fall in love with Mopar or no car 197 Challenger  RT 440 and it has
a famous plum crazy color with the black vinyl top shows really well you  usually see them with white but this combination is fantastic now this also has a great engine  option the vcode matching numers 446 pack 390 horsepower four-speed manual with a performance  rear axle inside has the really cool rally gauge panel with the tax so you don't have to guess  how high your rev that 440 based on the shake in the shaker hood and check this emblem right  back up here now I know Steve would know exac
tly what they're called I believe it's pronounced  fratzog and they retired it in 1981 brought back on the 2024 electric Challenger now I don't know  how you feel about electric but I love the purr of these you're never going to recreate that Bob  yeah but think of all the fun you'll have trying April now here is Lot 10 25 19 oh excuse me we're  24.1 just sold for $80,000 getting ahead of myself here up rolls 1025 of 55 Chevy 210 custom twodo  post boy beautiful the way this thing has been dropp
ed the Chrome has been improved everything  has been polished under hood and it's a 210 so it's the mid level of Chevrolet back in 1955 but  that no longer matters because now it's a custom Barrett Jackson calls this a twodo post and the  reason is the window is framed and there is a b pillar here uh Chevrolet marketing would call  this a two-door sedan same thing yeah if you were buying a 210 back in those days as a coupe with  just two doors you weren't buying it because it was some type of pe
rformance or fun you're were  probably buying it because it was just a couple you didn't need a back seat or it might have  been a business vehicle where you didn't think you were going to to need a back seat could  have been a government vehicle but I love the fact that all these years later it's now been  turned you know from the ugly duting into the beautiful Swan and the two-tone treatment here  is Factory uh one color on the hood the lower body and the front fenders and doors with the  seco
ndary color on the roof the trunk lid and the upper rear quarters not in these colors  but that is a factory two-tone treatment I was going to say there's really nothing Factory  about this beyond the concept of the two-tone paint $60,000 takes it away and if you go  to barrett-jackson.com you will see that sales price posted next to that car's slot in  the docket because everything Barrett Jackson can be found at barrett-jackson.com check it  out buy some merch buy some tickets come to an aucti
on it is great value for money if you  just want to come have some great food and kick tires on a couple of thousand pristine cars now  we'll move on to a 57 Chevy 150 Sedan Delivery now look closely because this is something very  special uh yes it has it's as born with 283 270 horse engine Carter dual Quad carburetors but  only 92 of these were built like this a Sedan Delivery would have a full front seat in some  case the passenger seat was optional and the rest would be a delivery wagon and
this area  would be steel not glass only 92 of them were built that year with side windows as you would  see on a twodo station wagon so a 150 the base trim a Sedan Delivery rare body style in itself  with the glass windows one of less than 100 well it looks great up on top let's see how it looks  when it rolls over the chassis cam as you take off nicely done 283 cubic inch engine very stock  looking and you can see how they've pretty much done everything they can do they've got that  rust proof
ing down below that oxide coating going across that differential everything's been  done both up on top and down below well the lift gate is not a New Concept with today's SUVs  instead of a tailgate that folded down these Sedan deliveries had a lift gate so making them  easier to load and unload with cargo a moment ago we saw the 210 cross the block talked about  that was the mid-range this was the 150 and frankly when you were getting Sedan deliveries  this is what you were buying there was th
e only way to go because there was no reason to have a  Sedan Delivery a business vehicle that was a b [Music] air so here we have the question of  if you're driving up rare Street do you get to the intersection of desirable  well that's up to the bids somebody liked it enough $78,000 yeah good price  good car great story to tell your friends drawing close to the end of our first  hour of nine on the day let's see what's up next to 66 Corvette 427 425 well when you  got the big block Corvette in
65 and6 you got this Hood this one has the optional turban  Wheels Redline tires and uh exposed side exhaust with an M22 Rock Crusher transmission  and 45,000 M on the clock yeah that's pretty impressive it also has the original  Jack and wheel spinner knockoff Hammer so it's a pretty darn original it's got its ncrs  sticker saying this is what it's supposed to be okay will interrupt we'll have the  result on the other side for you but that puts a button on our first hour  of coverage today her
e in Scottdale but we're just getting warmed up 84 hours of  live auction action are headed your way stay [Music] there Dream Rides continue to cross the  block here at Barrett Jackson the world's greatest collector car auction right now we have $140,000  at the hammer for this 1966 Corvette 427 425 I'm Bob bar with Mike Joy Rick debru Tyler Hoover  and April Rose stay with us for the next 8 hours on both the History Channel and FYI for all of  the best of Barrett Jackson here's Lot 10 26.1 a 66
Chevy Nova custom well the Nova began as the  Chevy 2 a car that Chevy rushed into production a battle the Ford Falcon and this is the second  styling cycle for the Chevy 2 it got a two-door heart top a much more attractive silhouette and  this one's at heart transplant yeah much bigger engine in there 6 L LS V8 now cranking out 540  horsepower and look at the stylized plenum across the top the way they beautifully designed it  with the paint going all the way through and I love this three colo
r stripe going back down  to the very end and it's got a just a hint when you get all the way to the back just a hint of  a little kick up for a spoiler right there wrap around bucket seats and that paint treatment is  carried through to the dashboard forged alloy wheels and four-wheel disc brakes make this  one a bit of a corner Carver and not just a straight line car and they've done some nice  simplistic things the way they've simplified this this is just a simple bar going across the  back w
e're not trying to imply any bright work it's nicely nicely done both inside and out and  in fact if you look in the interior let's see if we can squeeze over here just take a look at  how the stripe goes across six figures again $117,000 for what is a very cool performance  vehicle from the bow tie away it rolls Here Comes lot 1027 a 57 Buick Century custom convertible  yeah this been has one has been well lowered and wanted everybody to know that you had just bought  a brand new car and how di
d they show that off right here in the middle of the grill there's  the model year indicated this uh one comes out of Washington state and was bought here on the  bar Jackson auction block in 2014 and then got this big transformation including the 425 cubic  inch nail head V8 and we've seen more than a few of these go across the block this week with the  nail heads and we can appreciate that so many people are just going to throw a crate engine in  there and it's great you can do a lot of things
with crate engines but I can appreciate somebody  who goes through the process of rebuilding and putting an original style engine you see the  four Venda ports on the side for the up Scale Models lesser Buick got three the red and black  repeated on the inside and we're at six figures once again oh she can breathe I was so excited  about it you got it $115,000 plus now we've been going on and on about Super Saturday if you've  been waiting for our coverage are here on the History Channel you ma
y not have been on FYI to  hear us sing the Praises of all the fabulous cars that will cross the block so here's a selection  of some of the cars that we think are extra special let's talk about Super Saturday with  one of the most spectacular supercars of all time a 20 18 Bugatti cheron 16 cylinders 1500  horsepower 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds and just to keep you safe they have limited the top speed in  this thing to 261 mph all right April what have you got not bad Rick but this is the queen of my
heart 1956 SL300 goaling of course with the iconic beautiful stunning goal Wing doors now some would  say this is the original Supercar with was born from racing with its tubular chassis and direct  injection inline six I mean this is easily one of the most beautiful cars of all time Bob just try  and top that well thanks April and I'll have you know that our colleague Mike Joy calls me the wine  and cheese guy and I say guilty on all counts this is a mercedesbenz 540k from 1937 now in those
days you could have a car buy a chassis send it off to one of hundreds of coach Builders and they  would create something original and likely to be stunning for your car this particular Mercedes is  in right-and Drive which is weird because it was delivered originally in France go figure under  the hood that 5.4 L 8 cylinder engine has that K in the title which means compressor it's more  powerful than the normally aspirated version but this car is all about style it's red now it was  originally
black over silver I like this a ton from the rear wheel spats to the front end louvers  this is something special Tyler what have you got well Bob how about Alexus Supercar a 2012 LFA one  of 25 with the nurur ring edition package and only seven of them were in Orange 562 horsepower V10  that sings all the way to 9,000 RPM wow what do you have Mike my high school dream car was a  67 Stingray convertible cars have come a long way since since then but look at this beautiful  just completed Jeff H
ayes custom with its LS3 500 plus horsepower small block on an art Morrison  chassis this gleaming champagne paint with the ghost Stinger stripes and a linen leather interior  all my high school dreams and more in a brand new 67 Stingray now that's just a sampling of what's  going to cross the block here on Super Saturday well you get the idea all of those cars  and many many more but let's not put down franic Friday here is a 67 Corvette 427  400 convertible we're at 95 Grand and Counting yeah
for all the right reasons very  desirable 1967 one of the top Years big block 400 horsepower and a great color Elkart blue  April Rose showed it to us earlier 100,000 takes it away be still my heart what's  next how about a 1979 Pontiac Firebird TransAm well at Daytona where this car was the  pace car and was a favorite of Bill France Senor uh initially they sent silver cars uh to  the track and they were hard to pick up off the sun bleached Asphalt in the banking so  a two-tone treatment was de
veloped with silver and gray and was applied not only to the pace  cars but all of the Speedways Pontiac loner cars and that treatment with the red and black  Pinstripes became quite popular for Pontiac as a result well of course what we really have  to look at is up on the hood right here 10 years earlier when they had their first TransAm  Edition the screaming chicken was a little tiny thing by 10 years later 1979 it was screaming  in full Glory turban Wheels engine turned Dash formula steerin
g wheel all har Hallmarks of the  Trans Am package in this its 10th anniversary presentation 65,000 takes it another  break coming up but not before you check out this 1970 Oldsmobile 44 2  with the w30 package first 442 we've seen at this year's auction and a personal  favorite of mine check it out when we come [Music] back with the stars and bars overhead  we welcome you back to the world famous Barett Jackson auction stage here at westw World of  Scottdale on the History Channel this is lot 1
029 9.1 a 1969 Ford Bronco custom well in the  world of Bronco Customs this is the package you want the 302 cubic in the Dana 44 those 3 and  1/2 in lifts getting it up and those big 35 in tires this is exactly what all of the aftermarket  people are going for when they want customs and I love the seats that they've got mounted on  the back end of this there are any number of companies that will build you a brand new almost  almost all brand new Bronco like this but you'll wait about a year to g
et it done and the price  will be well into six figures or you can come to Barett Jackson and buy one there are more  than 60 Broncos in this year's Scottdale sale yeah it really just boils down to what are you  looking for what color combination what style this one had a lot of fun with the way the  rear tailgate been set up with a cooler and seats $83,000 boy these Broncos running across  the stage for big numbers here at Barrett Jackson but that often happens it's just a certain car  model an
d myth that captures the attention of the bers and here's the car we previewed before  the break a 1970 old 442 w30 a select offering from Ms classic cars in seon Mass well-known  classic car uh dealership and on these w30 probably the signature feature are these inner  fenders they are plastic and yes they are red no matter what color car you've ordered so the  story with this build is yes it looks great but it's what they went through to get to this point  they spent years literally looking fo
r New Old Stock parts and we've been talking about NOS New  Old Stock parts for a long time the last 20 years we've been doing the broadcast well once upon a  time it wasn't super hard to find those New Old Stock Parts these days tell you what everybody has  scoured just about every shelf every old building available to find all those new old Stark Parts  they're hard to find more so the internet makes them easy to find if they're available that's  why the supply is pretty much dried up green in
side and out White Stripes highest horsepower  year 1970 the Pinnacle of the first muscle car era love it even at 116 ,000 so while that gentleman does his paperwork  let's peek out in the Maguire staging Lanes look at all the folks lined up watching all of these  Beauties Roll by those may be the best seats in the house that's where I opened the show from  out of the bright sunshine and an absolute parade fabulous cars we go back to the block for  lot 10301 19 71 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible
well by 1971 the Mercury Cougar was no longer the  corner Carver that Dan gurny raced in the Trans Am in ' 67 it had become a personal luxury  car and this one one of five built with the Cobra Jet engine and one of only three known to  exist a full concore restoration on a very rare Mercury yeah we come back up to the front you  know people call this the shaver grill right there cuz it looks like an electric shaver and  to your point you know it was always longer than a Mustang it was always sup
posed to be more of an  upscale vehicle similar to The Challenger compared to the Cuda but by the time they got into the  early 70s the performance side was not nearly as important as the personal luxury side 429  cubic in four-speed manual transmission very rare combination in the cougar and with the drop top  one of only five built and just freshly Concourse restored so when we say Concourse restored  this means restored to be judged at concore exhibitions against similar cars restored to  a h
igh standard which means it's not just done nicely it's done to the exact specs that it's  supposed to be when it came from the factory solid money for a cougar no offense taken Rick $150,000 and that  is one sweet ride let's go to April once again hey Bob I'm out here in the pre-staging lanes  where everyone is having a good time gathered around this beautiful 1970 K5 Blazer now we  see so many 20 Broncos restored it is so nice to see the value of these just shooting straight  up now these were
Chevy's Answer to compete with a Bronco but unlike Broncos they were built  on Chevy's full-size truck chassis and they were just an instant success now this one's got  a modern LS 3v automatic transmission it's been lifted with Fox shocks and leaf springs so it  rides better than when it was born and I want you to take a peek inside of course it has  this retractable automat step all new gauges and these picnic blanket plaid type seats man  I could just sit in there all day you know what in fa
ct I think I'm going to so Bob just let me  know when lunch is because I'll be hanging out here we'll come join you here's lot 1031 the 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge  Ram a 3 a very famous car and it's called the Psychedelic judge because this car was a mistake  you were not supposed to be able to get a mint turquoise exterior with these blue orange and  pink Factory judge decals and the red interior but somehow that's how this car left the assembly  line and it's been restored to just the way it was n
ew I always wonder did somebody order it  this way or like you say was it simply one of those things where they went oh we missed missed  a number here and moved it over cuz I tell you it pulls up and you look at that interior compared to  the exterior color cuz I love the exterior color but the interior is where you go well that's  a little bit different on this particular car 366 horsepower I love the fact that they've  taken that three-speed automatic transmission rebuilt it and upgraded in t
he from the inside so  it is said the color combination on a factory wt1 judge option was not permitted but this car  was somehow built by GM of Canada 3,100 mil since the restoration and it's out of the Frank  tees collection of just achingly gorgeous muscle cars 92,000 to the bidder on the internet and the  Summit Racing sold sticker goes on price in the Box psychedelic judge here's 10311 a 69 Mercury  cougar 428 Super Cobra Jet well look how much narrower and lither and more performance  look
ing this one is than the cougar the rather bloated looking cougar convertible we  just saw so here's the 429 again another or 428 rather Super Cobra Jet C6 automatic 430  rear end and this one has the drag pack now that is a collection of options that include  this oil cooler and these are the parts you put on here when you're going drag racing  and this is a factory R code when you look at this Vin right here it does have the r in it  meaning this is the type of engine it was born with Factory
drag pack car steel wheels  bucket seat console automatic and vinyl top which you don't often order for the  drag strip so it's looks as if this car has led kind of a dual life Street and  strip tell I'm a big fan of cougars in restoring these because so many of the parts  underneath can swap out with Mustang so it's still available to find a lot of the  Restoration Parts Frank collection and got a bits up in the muscle Lounge so that bit of resistant has to work hard to  get the attention of th
e auction go back up front remember just a moment  ago we were talking about the electric shaver Grill see how much more subtle  and small it was just a couple years earlier $75,000 call that well bought I do  believe now let's join Tyler once again well here's a very cool customized eighth generation  Corvette the med engine Corvette started out like this 495 horsepower visually very much  the same the only addition on this one you can see the Corvette racing skull here in the  hood but this on
e is well optioned it's the 3lt package z51 performance package but you see  the stickers down here Stingray R the consigner tells me that this is a Z6 killer right here  and the Z06 has 670 horsepower but this one they put a lingan felter supercharger on it  and now it has over 700 horsepower since it's a convertible you can't really see the engine  but he does have it running so we can hear [Music] it can you hear that supercharger [Music] wine so cool you got that right thanks Tyler  we're at
$90,000 on a 71 Ford Mustang Boss 351 third one of these we've seen in this bar jackon  sale this one blew with silver as the Mustang body got a little bigger and wider for 1971 blue  inside and out and it's the right colors you know if you bought the boss 351 depending upon which  one you got you would either have the black hood or in this case the Argent colored Hood Argent  of course goes back to the early days of Ford when they used to paint their green grills Argent  well let's turn to our
wine and cheese guy Argent is very simply French for silver is it not I'm  with you Mike and I believe AR is the symbol on the periodic table of elements for silver as  well aod let's make an AG yeah AR is argon and congratulations to the new owner of that sweet  boss 351 now something interesting rolls up you can find it on the docket which you can find at  Barrett-Jackson along with merchandise ticket information for future Barrett Jackson auctions  and a whole lot more news releases everythi
ng you could want to know about Barrett Jackson is  there at barrett-jackson.com so what do we have here now laa panamericana the Mexican road race  in the 62 Jaguar SE type protus recreation protus in England makes these beautiful cars Recreation  of uh Recreation of the sea type that raced at and did well at Lama and uh believe the Bonnet is  latched NOP here it goes so there's that big twin cam 6 with the triple Weber carburetors uh it's  the driver's name on this that I think will get the mo
st attention who is the only member of Pink  Floyd to have played on every one of their albums that's their drummer Nick Mason who also has a  Ferrari GTO in his collection and he has driven and vintage raced this well Nick Mason is a huge  car guy not just that he has a Ferrari GTO he's not one of those Rich guys who can just afford  stuff I've heard that his collection is worth upwards of $70 million and some people pointed  out they don't think he made that much money in the band so over the
years he's done a great job  of building a collection and building value in a collection I once asked him what would you have  done if you had not been a musician he said I would have been buying and selling used cars and  it looks like he's done so very very well 95,000 for that one and I'll support that Nick B is a  great guy not only has these fabulous cars he lets other people drive them I'm not sure that's  what I'd be doing but cool guy great drummer great band here's a Chevy K5 Blazer fro
m 1989 you know  every once in a while someone gets the idea to buy a brand new vehicle and put it away new in  the wrapper hoping for future appreciation I'm not exactly sure of the story on this one we'll  try to figure it out before it leaves the block but it only has 21 original miles it's never  even been dealer prepped for sale and never registered yeah it's interesting because we see  here at Barett Jackson beautifully restored cars that look sometimes better than they were brand  new now
we get to see exactly what this Blazer would have looked like when it was brand new cuz  essentially that's what we have right here in the showroom you got a preferred equipment group  Savings of $800 reducing the MSRP to 2,850 and look at where we are we're six times that now  you know it's always dangerous to buy a car and put it away you just never know what's going  to happen I mean and especially you know if you brought this to Market 15 years ago I don't  think you would have brought near
ly this price but bringing it to market now with the craze  of SUVs with Broncos with blazers people are appreciating it and liking it even more look  at that number well hats off to the consigner because he has timed it just right $140,000  stock new in the rapper Blazer never have I ever or as the kids would say boom now here's a car that's coming  up when we return a 1969 Pac Firebird TransAm Ram Air 3 subject to a complete  restoration and you'll see it in a [Music] [Music] moment [Music] we
lcome back to the auction block  at Barett Jackson Scottdale here's a look at what the last three cars across the  block did Lot 10 32.1 89 Chevy K5 Blazer at $140,000 some pretty common numbers oh speaking  of which we're at 142,000 on this 197 Plymouth Barracuda custom great looking Reston you know we  verely see these ebodies roll across the block in white that would make this one stand out it's got  a 392 cubic inch Hemi V8 with a six-speed manual transmission and of course a great looking s
haker  hood up front so that's a modern Hemi transplant in this one with the Shaker this was born the  Barracuda back in 1965 or so and in 1970 they had a Cuda model just apostrophe Cuda and that was the  performance version pistol grip shifter big money 144,000 that man has the look of what just  happened oh now he knows why he did what he did here's another car out of the Brian Frank  collection this is a 1958 Corvette convertible boy we've seen a lot of 58s this week with  their one-year styl
ing touches like the faux louvered washboard Hood we call it under the  hood something special this is Rochester fuel injection Rochester division of General Motors a  mechanical non electronic fuel injection somewhat temperamental back in the day but now there  are specialist that rebuild these to a high standard I've driven these F Leets and the  power delivery is very very smooth much more so than a carburated engine so what happened  to the fuel inject well the reality was it was more compli
cated to maintain not all the  average mechanics could do it and basically Chevrolet figured out with the carburation they  were able to do in the mid-60s they didn't need fuel injection so a decade later it was gone and  by the way this is a great looking Survivor car yes you look at the tops of the fenders and you  will see spider webbing a slight crackling here but that's just age and patina after all this  car is 65 years old wish I look that good at 65 283 cubic Ines under that  hood they s
ay this is one of only 504 made with that engine and this automatic transmission by the way the most expensive  option you could get back then heavy duty breaks and suspension cost $780 that's  a massive price but people bought them bought them for just one reason they  wanted to go racing they only sold a couple hundred of them I got 72 Jeff now  everybody else is out be 75 yes and 75 and 75 I think all that's holding this number back is  that two-speed power glide automatic transmission althou
gh rare most people would prefer the  heavy duty three-speed manual and it sells at $75,000 congratulations to the  new owner' got another break coming up on the other side more  fun and games for barah Jackson Scottdale welcome back to Barrett Jackson beautiful sunny  Arizona day outside temperature hovering in the upper 60s couldn't ask for a nicer day to view  fabulous cars across the century from all over the world fabulous stuff and here's where it all  comes to a climax on the auction stag
e here's what the last three cars across the block did 65  Buick Riviera at $120,000 Plymouth Road Runner Recreation also did quite well and speaking of  well we're at 115 Grand on a 66 chevel Malibu custom well ss427 is a badge the original never  wore uh but that's what's been added to this one a rotisserie Restoration in the pro touring Vibe and  a Kenny built 427 under the hood check that number where he just hit $150,000 and for good reason  that massive 427 cubic inch it's a well love body
first year of this particular upgrade for the  chevel look in 1966 they'd retain it through 1967 and when you look at the front end of this car you  begin to see the hints of what's going to happen in 68 and 69 although the 6869 body style would be  significantly different and guess what we're still going [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hard fought  but one the number two sale of the day tying for number three of the auction  and by the way that's a five make that a fourcc car tie
at $200,000 thus  far for number three how about this 10 36.1 this a 66 Cadillac cville custom EV  convertible Tyler Hoover combed through it yesterday for us it's an electric Cadillac  well okay it's a Cadillac DeVille but in this case they've capitalized the E so dville and you  know once once again I go back to when we first started getting the concept of electric cars the  Prius and stuff we always thought oh they're not going to have any performance in there and guess  what they have massi
ve performance these days this thing has almost 400 horsepower now you'll  have to talk about range that's a different discussion but if all you want is pure power and  the ability to be able to move forward this can actually do it it's got three inline hyper N  Motors that can absolutely move this forward at a very rapid rate and you know you think about  it with a big beast like this the combination of what this would have weighed brand new together  with the fact that they've had to add all t
hese batteries and if we can get our come swing back  up front and take a look at what we have under the hood cuz it's absolutely going to amaze you is it  beautiful is it a crate no it's just a giant logo nothing to see here folks because the motor and  the batteries are all underneath very beautifully finished however that clip white over red and  the steering wheel is a white mother of pearl finish the gauges the entire gauge panel uh is all  a digital panel lots and lots of upgrades besides
the powertrain here yeah digital to look like an  analog I like what they've done with this you know there's a company called Revolt that takes old  Tesla Motors and puts them in new things they put them into an old school Streamliner and did 380  plus miles an hour at Bonville so if you have any doubts about the ability for an electric engine  to produce power you need to change that concept well unlike an engine an electric motor develops  all of its torque 100% of its torque instantly and uh
yeah that's I mean let's ask our Formula E  expert Bob that's just got to be a tremendous Game Changer got5 up there and now Chevy now makes a crate e engine that  you can just drop in $90,000 takes it away cool concept well executed I'd love  to drive that thing for all the reasons Mike and Rick explained now a program  reminder be sure to watch SEMA Battle of the builders 2023 on the History  Channel tomorrow at 900 a.m. eastern time now we have a 67 Corvette 427 390 convertible  last year of
the stingray and the 390 horse was the least powerful of the 427 cubic inch engines  and I love what the consigner has done here he's taken pictures of the casting numbers and of the  various documentation that you would want to see to verify how high your going to bid on this car  I endorse this type of presentation because it's going to mean more money this Corvette was sold  new in Canada actually in British Columbia so it's got the GM Canada documentation to go along  with it this engine was
a $200 option back when it was brand new and $200 doesn't seem like  much now but it was you know decent chunk of change you had to drop in on an already cool car  I think they only sold a couple hundred of them so why didn't this car just jump to six figures one  simple reason well two that's the number of gears in this Powerglide automatic transmission the ones  that bring the big money are the four-speed manual shift cars the Powerglide is a very efficient  transmission and with all the torq
ue this engine has two gears are all it needs but enthusiasts  clamor for the four speeds save the manuals is the Cry by the way I should have said they sold more  than 3,000 of these not just a couple hundred it was actually you know a decent number considering  how many were sold in total in 1967 although total production numbers were down in 1967 because  everybody was looking forward to the 1968 that was about to cross one thing you didn't get in  1967 you didn't get the grab bar anymore tha
t the passengers could hang on to when they were going  Full Tilt right side of your screen lower box man in the white shirt front and center is noted car  collector and car dealer John stupi from Florida he loves his Corvettes he once explained to me  that the Corvette was the first car he owned when he was a young man and got the resources  together later on he sold it later on in life he went looking for it and I said how much more did  it cost you to buy it back he said a lot $12,000 is too
much for John interesting that gentleman  has it I'm sure that'll make his neck feel better out the door it goes here comes a 69  Firebird Trans Am ramare 3 first year for the Trans Am pontiac's answer to the Z28 Camaro a  car they wanted to race in the Trans Am Series so they licensed that name from The Sports Car  Club of America paid them $5 a car and for a long time that was the club's biggest source  of income all of these firste cars were with Ty roll blue stripes but I don't remember  tho
se stripes going over the roof as they do on this car so we'll call it just a bit of  a mild custom here one of only 697 1969 Trans Ams it's interesting because you know they took  the Trans Am name but in reality they weren't very successful racing in Trans Am especially  for those first few years ultimately did they win a Trans Am Championship yes but it took years  and long after this car was produced Titus godsall racing CA campaigned these out of Canada because  Canadian Firebirds were allo
wed to race with the engines they were born with which actually came  from Chevrolet the problem with the Trans Am to go racing is that big Endura nose is much heavier  than the equivalent Camaro nose and out on the nose was the last place you needed more weight  on one of these and what's not on the nose is what we saw on that 197 910th anniversary that  came across the massive screaming chicken you know it was hadn't even appeared yet it  wouldn't show up for a while well it was there on the t
runk lid or at the back of the  tail light panel where you put the trunk key that was the first appearance of the Phoenix  or Thunderbird or Firebird if you will was right there above the name Pontiac a successful  racer or not it certainly sells well here at $155,000 we got a break coming up up no  clouds in the sky today it's a beautiful blue sky day in the Valley of the Sun we'll  be back to Barrett Jackson scotdale in just a [Music] moment welcome back to Scottdale Arizona  as you look down
on Westworld the massive tents that house a big chunk of the cars up across the  Barrack Jackson auction block some of the tens of thousands of Spectators bids families Pros  you name it come here to enjoy all there is to see it do at every Barrett Jackson auction  up on the stage right now is lot 10391 1969 Camaro ss396 well we don't have the figures  but I would imagine that the big block Super Sport scene here was rarely painted butternut  yellow uh but that's the way this one is right down t
o the wheels with the dog hubcaps big  block big performance interesting color and not just the question of whether it was ordered  that way how many that were ordered that way are still butternut yellow today because obviously  so many have t people have taken these 1969 Camaros and modified them and guess what we  see a lot of them that come back and resale red or you know the hugger orange as the  case may be but to leave it in butternut yellow well this is the way it was created  and I like
the fact that they've kept it that way now this is a four-speed car the engine  has been upgraded however still has a Quadra jet four barrel carburetor and the original  Muny M20 wide ratio fourspeed 100,000 is the number that gentleman is the new owner now here's  a car that April previewed for us earlier it's a 1970 Dodge Challenger RT 440 plum crazy and  I'm plum crazy about it it's the right color Dave Weiss has certified this saying that this  was done to an extremely high degree one of the
great things about ver Jaxon is they have a  number of car experts that they keep coming to the auctions and what they'll do is they'll  go through and take a look at the cars and say does it match the description that the consigner  is given so it's a great way while it doesn't guarantee everything that's in the car they take  good efforts to make sure that they are what they are they look at part numbers they look at the  trim t for the option codes they'll look at the broadcast or build shee
t if it is available and  while this one has had some upgrades and this car has been lowered substantially it's a highly  optioned car pistol grip shifter fulllength center console between the bucket seats uh vinyl top  pretty car and what's cool about this is they also in addition to you know having restored it to  a nice degree they have the owner history they've got documentation that's followed this car which  is pretty cool whenever I sell a car I always like to make sure that whoever gets
the car gets all  the documents I've got now once again they're just random cars they're probably never but I like  to think it's part of the car's history it goes [Music] along well as with paintings provenance  is important in the collector car hobby good point Rick the bidder assistant  indicating I have the lead bidder right there with me and he gets the car at $150,000 huzzah now part of every Barrett  Jackson auction is our Spotlight feature this year the Year we're spotlighting is 1971 an
d  its cars why 71 because here in Scottdale at 71 is when Partners Tom Barrett and Russ Jackson  father of current company chairman Craig Jackson staged their first Barrett Jackson auction  after years of a car show called the fiesta de losos elegantes now all these years later  here's Tyler Hoover with a car reminiscent of 71 well just because a truck was born in  1971 doesn't mean it needs to look or drive like something from the 1970s and that's what  sweet Elaine is it started Life as a 71
one Chevy C10 but as you can see it's been heavily  customized first of all slammed to the ground thanks to the air ride hiding underneath this  beautiful wood bed the two-tone cab inside has a beautiful quilted leather bench and under  the hood certainly the biggest upgrades here 525 horsepower LS3 so s Elaine is a beautiful  custom pickup that you probably wouldn't want to haul things anymore in the back but  it certainly would haul [Applause] ass it's Tyler sweep ride and so is this 1970  che
vel custom Coupe lot 104.1 we're at 110 Grand well according to C they spared no  expense in restoring this underneath the hood they got a 454 cubic inch V8  four-speed automatic transmission made it to a GM 12 bolt got those  17in American Racing Magnum 500 wheel 2,000 on the clock since the restoration  was complete and that gentleman has it at $105,000 yeah that was up okay we are in 442  country here on this Friday at Barrett Jackson here's a 71 old 442 w30 convertible well for  1971 General
Motors lowered the compression ratio on all those engines so they were a  little less powerful but no less desirable so this is a 455 with 300 70 horsepower turbo  400 transmission sterling silver is the color they only build 110 of these w30 convertibles  with the red plastic inner fenders and only 10 of them had air conditioning this is one  of those 10 whenever anybody tells you that they know what 442 means don't believe them  because the reality is it changed over time from year to year yo
u know start off as four  barrel you know four on the floor dual exhaust and at various points in time it became various  things 400 cubic in the very last generation of this was a 4 cylinder so for you know people  tend to know what it was at a moment in time but they don't actually tend to know what the  entire history of it by the way I'm looking at the original window sticker here shows that  this sold brand new in Lancing Michigan at $5 5,670 pardon me this actually sold in St Genevie  Miss
ouri well it brings a big number these cars are going for top dollar $113,000 really well  restored back out to April I found something really big right here 1955 Chevy 5700 and it's  really cool they did all these airbrushing on the side it looks like Chrome but no this is all  paint down the side and of course you have the fenders in the back that look like a 57 Chevy  this also looks like a CO but it's not it's all custom the body was stretched to make room for  the back seat and a custom bed
was built it's got a mid-engine durmax turbo diesel six-speed  Allison Transmission air ride suspension and get this it'll haul 10,000 lb and still get  you 20 m per gallon that's like unheard of now inside has period correct period correct  gauges and also Tyler Hoover because there's actually a train horn in there and my I was  too nervous to try it out but obviously Tyler is not afraid of anything this is going to be  fun watching it go across the block Bob yeah the Corvette racing team used
to bring one of  those massive Harmony horns to Lama every year and everybody waited in the grand stands until  Corvette sounded the horn in the pit Lane and speaking of Corvettes here's one it's a 2021  one custom convertible and this one has been well massaged by the folks at lingan felter  performance Stingray r with three LT and z51 packages Magnus and superchargers so you  have over 700 horsepower a 45% increase from stock yeah what do you do when you got  a great car like the Corvette Mid
Engine High horsepower find a way to make it  even higher now down comes the hammer at $85,000 Sinister looking thing  here comes another break and on the other side plenty more Great Cars  because it's Barrett Jackson [Music] Scottdale welcome back under the Big  Top at Barrett jacks in Scottdale as you could see thousands of fans and  biders on hand down on the bidder floor which is reserved to register bids  fans can sit or stand wherever they like moment ago a Dodge Challenger  SRT Hellcat
superstock went for $100,000 now rolling up is lot 1044 a 64  Pontiac GTO convertible well again first year for the GTO which was an option on the  Pontiac Tempest glal and optional was this tricarb engine three two barrel carburetors  on this 389 cubic in mil the stock engine had only a single four barrel carburator and  this has an M20 wide ratio uh M 4 speeed the original 323 ratio safety track Pontiac  word for posit traction rear axle and this is what you want to see right here the build  s
heet that shows this is exactly what it's supposed to be it's got Pontiac Historic  Society paperwork this is a very original [Music] car you know we see an awful lot of GTO clones  from this year to see one with this engine with a four-speed transmission restored to this level  boy this is a rare [Applause] [Music] creature shipping order reproduction with all of the  option codes that were put on this car provenance documentation very very important if you're going  to get top dollar and this
one did yeah beautiful car $145,000 worth love a goat 7 now let's take  a peek at the Maguire staging Lanes can walk up to that semi TR display and learn all about the  various Maguire polishes waxes cleaners and so on longtime partner of the Barrett Jackson auctions  and down there in the Maguire staging Lanes all of these Beauties line up waiting for their  shot on stage and all that rumbling you may have heard heard a moment ago came from this a  65 superformance Mark III Roadster The Italian
Job so this car meant to replicate the Shelby  427 Cobra and stylistically it does a pretty good job these are not bumpers these are  the brackets for the quick lift Jack if you're going racing uh these little Canard fins  appeared on some later Sports races but never on the Cobra this is a fiberglass body car the  originals are aluminum The Originals sell for seven figures let's see what this replica will  do well this is said to be the fastest cobra in the world they got it up to 223 M an hou
r when  they were running up in Sun Valley Idaho now if you got yourself a basic original 427 top speed  on that was considered about 167 mph if you had a semi competition version it was 185 5 mph  the super snake original Super Snake Cobra was good for like 2011 mph of course if you wanted  ultimate top speed well for that you had to go to the Cobra Daytona Coupe cuz the reality was this  was not a very aerodynamic body in terms of pure speed it's very narrow this car did that fast on  that roa
d it is a great car 80 so it might well be a single purpose machine for a top speed  run somewhere but the bidding is respectable here at $190,000 I think this may be the most  I've ever seen a replica sell for what are the interesting things they've done look at this from  an aerodynamic perspective they put this in here Ted tormin the guy who drove it to that record  in fact he exceeded 200 not once but [Music] twice [Music] $220,000 our new top seller of the auction wow what a car and it now
belongs to that gentleman  as soon as he signs the papers 6.2 seems remarkably reserved well call it satisfied  with his acquisition and we move on to this another one of my favorites 56 Chevy Nomad  custom wagon when General Motors had their Motorama display in the Waldorf Estoria Lobby  in New York City one of the show cars was the original Nomad it had this station wagon style  roof but built on a 53 Corvette folks loved it so much they said we've got to build it but not  on the Corvette on t
he fullsize Chevrolet for 556 and 7 was this beautiful twodo hard top  wagon he had a very specific build to it it wasn't just another station wagon what was  unique about it were a couple things first off it was only a twodo didn't have a let's  call it a C pillar back here just had this holding it up and of course it had these Chrome  Stakes up the back you know it wasn't that long ago the concept of taking a an original Nomad  and customizing it was like why would you want to do that when it'
s so original these days  as we've seen with 63 Corvette split windows doesn't matter people love modern stuff put into  classic bodies The Nomad name would continue through 1961 as a four-door wagon but these are  the ones that are highly prized in this case $180,000 you bet Mike from the muscle Lounge in itself now here comes the 1970 Chevy  K5 Blazer custom SUV we've seen a lot of them see what this one does well these were just  work a day trucks why would someone restore one to this level t
o this quality because all  these people have come to Barrett Jackson to bid on them this one's had an LS heart transplant  in fact the valve covers on the engine here have been cast and molded to resemble the small block  Corvette valve covers of the 1960s and 70s that's an LS3 with 430 horsepower and if you like this  hugger orange way do you see the Plaid interior to match well just as the Camaro was a little late  to coming to the game and battling the Mustang the Blazer was a little late to
the game and battling  the Bronco the Bronco was a big success sold more than 320,000 at first year but when Chevy decided  to do the Blazer jump into the SU UV World they decided not to do it the way that Ford had done  it instead of making a shortened single-purpose chassis they put it on the truck chassis we see  the initial CST here on the door those were not the owner's initials that's Factory Chevrolet  sport truck was the package that was applied uh to these Blazers an upgraded trim leve
l a roll  bar has been added to this one big wheels and 33in tires it's been given a body color Grill treatment  and a cow induction [Music] hood and once again finding a donor vehicle these days is becoming the  problem you're going to spend 15 to $20,000 for a car that may not even have run for a while if it's  just a rust bucket you're still going to spend five grand here's why people restore these Blazers  Bob oh yeah 150,000 reasons to restore that bler now let's join Tyler once again well
if  you're wondering what's the difference between that Chevy that just crossed the block and this  GMC well really not all that much other than the grills they were pretty much the same but this  one is a suburban and even with the Chevys they shared the same name this one though nice and  customized and they have a really cool Quirk that ended in 1972 this year that I'll show  you in a little bit but you see this one's been lifted and you go down the driver's side  you can see that badge it sa
ys Sierra a grande so that meant the luxury trim for the Suburbans  and you can see inside nice luxurious interior cool pattern on the door panels but notice  this is a Suburban so it's much longer than Blazer we are missing a door right here gives you  plenty of room to do some beautiful hand-done pin striping and as we go around that pin striping  continues big spare mounted on the back but on the passenger side this is what's weird about  these the last year of the threo Suburban so these lon
ger ones only had the doors on one side  this one somebody locked for me to be more secure there we go to get you into the full bench seat  because many of these were used for commercial purposes school buses that kind of stuff still  has that luxurious Sierra Grande interior but the last year for this after this the Subban had four  doors like what we have today this one a beautiful example beautiful indeed they got bubbling  on the block but we've got a break coming up as we cast our eyes acro
ss the Showcase all  of these Dream Rides yet to reach the [Music] block welcome back the action continues and our  continuing coverage of Barett Jackson elctric car auction from Scottdale Arizona on the History  Channel and FYI nine full hours on this Friday to be followed extended Saturday program with  the very best cars crossing the block here's what the last three cars to cross did including  $150,000 for a 1970 Chevrolet K5 same number for a 57 Bel Air and now we're looking at a 1969 Ford
Bronco custom SUV well this one has a kyot 5 L V8 made it to a six-speed automatic transmission  somewhere I think the Navy is missing a whole lot of Battleship Gray paint because this has  become a gloss gray at Barett Jackson Scottdale has been a theme of this week and of course  the Bronco where's it well yeah officially I believe this is called uh titanium blue is  exactly what they're calling it U you know last night we saw one of the new Mopars go across  and they literally called it Batt
leship Gray you know you look at that rear fender you can  buy the sheet metal for these things for $250 $300 you know you got to do some work to put  it in there I was talking with one restorer recently and he was saying you know why spend  the 20 to 30 hours it could potentially take to get one of these fenders right when you can  buy all of the body parts reproduced and make save yourself so much time the Bronco was  originally available with no roof a half roof like a pickup truck or a full
roof like  an SUV but this truck is way way way beyond that nice air ride suspense forged wheels quite  a build and the biders love it to the tune of $165,000 that moves right up into  our top 10 of the day six to be precise and now we have a 2019 Corvette Z06  I like how Corvette over the years has named their paint colors for racetracks maybe they  didn't have the rights to Road America so they used the town in Wisconsin Elkart Lake where  the track is this is Elkart Lake blue last year the fr
ont engine Corvette Z06 suspension  on this one and less than 9,000 miles you know one of the cool things that they did with this  generation of Corvette the c7s is they used a a material that was developed by NASA it's called  aerogel and it's an insulation material and it's designed to you know keep the heat from getting  into the driver's compartment but what's really cool about this Aero gel is it's literally  98% air so it's exceptionally light and the tunnel that goes through the transmiss
ion  tunnel the engine tunnel is packed with this stuff to keep the heat on one side and  keep the driver's compartment nice and cool just one of many instances where the Aerospace  industry is can contributed to uh some great car building there's that number again 150 ,000 The  Summit Racing sold sticker goes on and away we go here's lot 10491 a 69 Chevy Camaro custom well  this one has nart Morrison chassis it's got a much bigger engine than it was born with look at that  52 cubic in and when
whether we talk about Art Morrison chassis or any of the aftermarket  chass that are out there it's important to point out it's not just one chassis they have  multiple chassis for different purposes all of the aftermarkets do you want a truck chassis  they got that you want a SUV chassis they've got that you want a tri five Chevy Chassis yeah you  can have that made you know the same concept is the same in terms of design but they're building  it specifically for the purposes of this vehicle da
rk gray metallic exterior hounds tooth black  and white interior black vinyl top and Z2 28 Stripes that would not have been available on a 69  Camaro that was not a Z28 d80 spoiler package some Corvette crossed Flags there on the tail light  panel so a little bit of freelancing going on here with this mildly customized and lowered  [Music] 69 $125,000 as the rolling six figure prices just keep coming superar away goes the  Camaro here comes a Mopar 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye widebo
dy jailbreak now one of  my cutest details about these cars is right here on the splitter this yellow piece is packing it  is intended to prevent damage in transit to the dealership and then it's supposed to be removed  but it looks so cool there in contrast to the black splitter that a lot of owners say no no  no don't take that off leave it right on there I like it but you have to be careful because  eventually it does leave a mark underneath and so it's like well you got to be cautious as  yo
u do that so what is a jailbreak Edition well over time within the automotive industry when  it came time to order options well back in the old days you could pick what you want you had a  whole laundry list you ordered the car and got exactly what you wanted then as time went along  you simply got packages you got the entertainment package you got the technology package you  got the performance package jailbreak the concept was to build the car that you wanted  the way you want it and it came f
rom well the telephone world you know you get an iPhone  and somebody would jailbreak it to put in a different operating system or change it or tweak  it or put in various things and so the jailbreak concept was that you could build in this case a  challenger exactly the way you wanted it with the options that you [Music] wanted 0, $110,000 as  that sticker goes on with the happy news another break coming up and all kinds of Elegance  style craziness coming your way from Barrett [Music] Jackson
we are back at Barrett Jackson world's  greatest collector car auction and its usual January place of Pride and it's home Town  Scottdale Arizona I'm Bob Bara with Rick debrule Mike Joy Tyler Hoover and April Rose  and currently on the Block is lot 101.1 a 66 Corvette custom convertible well yeah very  custom uh but what's interesting about it from the outside it has a nice Resto mod look  and according to the consigner this started Life as a big block engineed car this was an  original original
427 cubic in 425 horsepower l72 car now as often is the case you know cards  with lots of performance get used and sometimes abused don't know what happened to it but  over a long period of time it apparently lost its engine they decided Well you know what  we're going to do with it we're going to take it back to its original looks with a little  bit of freelancing on the outside in terms of coloring a few other things and just make it  completely modern underneath that's exactly what they were
able to do with this thing [Music] El  betters are loving this Rick it went quickly to $135,000 yeah I mean once again it's a mid-year  Corvette 1966 one of the favorite body styles the next year in 1967 it would lose some  of the uh the bright work on the outside be a little simpler but in terms of having  the nice look everything you're wanting this is exactly what it's got It's got a  trimic five speed in there look at that And1 130,000 uh $37,000 takes it on a little  bit of a count back th
ere Tyler showed us that car earlier right out of the MS classic cars  collection here's another car that Tyler had a close look at a 72 GMC Suburban custom SUV well  as we've discussed the Chevy Suburban and the GMC Suburban were the same vehicle with different  badging GMC sought to make their presentation a little more luxurious with a lot of chrome  in the front in the grill and in the bumper which on most Suburbans the base bumper was  kind of an off white now this was a two owner truck it
was originally ordered in this hugger  orange and white two-tone with the uh Silverado interior and was later beautifully restored  I mean this truck looks better than brand new you I remember in the late ' 80s talking with  a magazine editor about they were doing a a you know road test and a whole series of SUVs  and one of them had dropped out and they were trying to think about what else they should put  in and I said well why don't you put a suburban and they said no we're looking for someth
ing  that's more family oriented I was like no no you didn't understand I live in Arizona in Arizona  starting in the 70s these were family vehicles and obviously as we've learned over time the  sub has become one of the ultimate family vehicles love the fact this one has a 40 gallon  gas tank in there cuz you know you're going to burn some in some gasoline with that uh 425  horsepower engine and all that weight well most of these were workhorses my friend Norm  grain Journeys grany Connecticut
had a whole Fleet of these in school bus yellow because  that's how they were used and instead of the big Thomas uh you know 40 passenger buses  in rural areas a Suburban or a small Fleet of them would do just [Music] nicely as  Tyler pointed out just a three door there is no passenger rear door on the other side  just that one right there obviously bidding hard requires sustenance well you didn't  want those School kids jumping out of the back seat into traffic did you that's why you  only had
the third door on the curb [Music] side of course the Suburban name goes a long way  back within the GM and Chevrolet world you know they started using that back back in the 30s  $68,000 at the hammer and we join April Rose once again here's something you've been missing  all your life 2006 H1 Alpha wagon check out this massive brush guard it kind of looks more like  armor very cool upgraded hallogen headlights right up front now this is the last and most desirable  year for these civilian Humme
rs cuz it's the only year with the Duramax turbo diesel which finally  gave it the power it needed to move down the road now check it out inside I mean you're miles away  from the passenger all that paneling in the center is the back of the engine and the transmission now  the alpha gives you these super comfy seats and tons of off-road features one of the coolest ones  it has its own tire inflator to raise or lower the PSI at the flip of a switch I mean if you're in  traffic it doesn't exist in
one of these puppies Bob uh many years ago I was calling a ski jumping  competition at Iron Mountain Michigan and it was so cold a national Guardsman providing security  invited me to sit in one of those things and you're right you are a long way from the driver  here is Lot 10 52.1 a 32 Ford Custom Roadster D Spencer was one of the greatest of all the  hot rod builders he applied his talents to a 32 of which this is a replica he did a 57 t-  bird that is now owned by my friend Ken epsman who a
lso has the Cris cord Monza impar that  Don Spencer built I mean what an incredible Craftsman and just unique touches that have  been replicated in this 32 by Brian Frank and his family restoration business let's take a  look at it from underneath as it rolls over the chassis cam you see that great front suspension  that mercury Flathead engine by the way it's been converted to 12vt they're using a 1932 Ford  frame all the way out the back look at that wow $140,000 and once again it got there qu
ickly so the Roadster hits the road and  here comes a 32 Ford Custom coup and this one's also been given the Don Spencer treatment  with the headlights really lowered here with the little Nerf Bar in front masquerading as  a bumper these finned backing plates for the big drum brakes everything Chrome just uh just  gorgeous now this has an original 32 steel body and firewall and original 32 Ford frame and  crossmember a lot of replicas out there this is the real deal come back over on this side
I want to show you how the steering works on this it's so interesting we're going to look  inside for just a moment as it rolls by and look down towards the steering wheel see all  that equipment down below as it comes out the side then it comes right here and normally you'd  have that steering shaft going all the way forward it comes out here hits this moves over to Here  Comes onto the front suspension and that's how it's turning the front suspension literally  you could turn it from the outsi
de if you had to lot of sprint car Sprint car stuff  there Rick and a quick change rear end to boot along with a transverse leaf  spring early Corvette style in the rear [Music] for8 there's a look at it you have  your pinion and your ring gear and the shafts come back here and you  have a couple of Spur Gears that you can quickly pop that cover off and  change to change the rear end [Music] ratio I85 got [Music] in many ways it's  such a simple Bild but it's so perfectly done $92,000 takes it g
entleman of a certain  age that could appreciate that here's a car coming up a little later on lot 108.1 is a  1968 Ford Bronco custom SUV and even you if youve just joined us today for the first time  you know how well these custom SUVs have been doing it's an auction it's a car show it's  a history lesson it's Barrett Jackson all the cars are undercover here in Scottdale some  in this half mile long tent fully enclosed and others in covered tent storage on the outside you  can't even see the e
nd of that tent from here but that's where we sit on The Auction Block currently  occupied by loot 1054 a 67 427 435 Corvette last year for the midyear Corvette before they went to  the makeo shark B body style in 1968 interestingly while 435 horsepower was the peak you could get  in 1967 it wasn't consider the peak engine of course that was the L88 which technically was  rated at 430 horsepower but it was lighter had greater ability to uh go fast well that's the one  you want with the four spee
d and the 456 gears $15,000 Tyler I'm with lot 1063 a 196 66 Jaguar e  type and with a blueprint engine cam let's take a look under the hood or the Bonnet if you will  it elegantly opens up to give this beautiful presentation of the 4.2 L inline 6 this is a very  desirable year for Jaguar because you get the bump up in power with the 4.2 L same horsepower around  265 as the outgoing 3.8 but about 20% more torque and you still have the triple carburetor in this  year now you go a few years later
you lose those triple carbs it goes down to duel and then  the 1.5s and the twos and the 3es get more well impacted by bumper regulations and other  things that disrupted the beautiful lines of this series 1 E type Jag now this one looks  like an older restoration but it still looks absolutely fantastic I owned one of these for a  brief period of time and it's amazing how modern they drive considering how classic British they  look absolutely love them well you're going to be up all night trying
to sink those three Su  carburetors on That Jag but it will be well wor worth the effort here's Lot 10 54.1 a 67 Ford  Mustang GT custom Fastback what's interesting about this is it has some customs but this is a  real deal what they call scode the scode was the 390 cubic inch engine that was put into the  1967 Mustang for the first time and in many ways really bumped up the performance game in  the Mustang world you know up until this point yeah had 289 you could do some stuff but this 390  en
gine really bumped it up this car was sold new in Utah the 390 big block with the four speeed  top loader transmission uh this one has coilover struts in the front so very different from the  way it was born a big four piston Kelsey Hayes break calipers up front Ford replica discs  on the back and the great thing about 1967 is you know they enlarged everything the engine  compartment was bigger in the 1967 so you could start putting not just bigger engines in there  but better suspension that th
e aftermarket can do these days some people shave some of those uh  suspension components off and put in really cool stuff but you've got plenty of room in the inry  compartment for a 67 compared to a 1966 by the way that 390 cubic engine there about 25,000  people that opted for that in 1967 sold for $130,000 lots of Dream Rides still on  the way to the auction block here in Scottdale welcome back to Barrett Jackson  Scottdale where some of those cars out in the salon have sold stickers on them
and the rest  are awaiting their turn on The Auction Block but everyone will leave with a new owner in this  totally no Reserve auction here's lot 1056 of 56 Chevy belir well this was actually supposed  to be the end of the line for this body style 55 56 they were planning on really bringing out  what became the 58 Chevy in 1957 but they didn't have enough time to get it all done they were also  concerned that some of the other manufacturer were blinging up more than they had the ability to so
they thought okay what do we do we'll take our 56 and we'll ramp it up a little bit that's how they  got the 57 but the good news is we now have what we call the trifi 55 56 57 doesn't matter which  one you choose people absolutely love them this one is a custom coilover suspension you see the  staggered Budnick Wheels 19s on the front 20s on the back Toyo Tires disc brakes full custom  interior and under the hood is an LS7 which is unusual choice for ls's and I love them came  out of the C6 Co
rvette 500 horsepower stock and they managed to get a push rod V8 to rev  to 6,300 RPM very quickly one thing I noticed that's different from a 56 sa this was stock  he's missing his hood ornaments and a lot of the Chrome I think it looks great on the nose  without it personally we had one of the tri five Chevys go across the block yesterday 56 and  they'd taken the hood ornament off and they' put it on the plenum up above the engine so it was  hidden underneath the hood but they still kept [Mus
ic] it you know you look at that Grill they changed  it significantly in 1956 they went from that Ferrari style in 55 to much wider $132,000  and the hammer Falls you know if you missed a car come across the auction block you can  read all about it including the hammer price at barrett-jackson.com news of all the cars  that'll be on the Block today and tomorrow Sunday and news about Upcoming auctions as well  rolling up to Center Stage is a professionally restored and Custom customized 66 Chevy
Nova and Bob or I should say Bob he used to be sitting up there Mike you know you called  this a little bit earlier when you talked about the gray colors the battleship colors look at  this we got another gray one rolling up onto the block this 1966 Nova custom I love the fact  that people customize novas like this these were the little guys you know this could have had  a four or six cylinder engine in it it wasn't considered a performance vehicle in its Day  by any stretch of the imagination
unless of course you ran managed to get one of those SS  versions so this was just a fun little car to get around in now wow well they've got a 6 L LS  engine 5-speed manual transmission they got a m Cloud Super Street Pro clutch kit 9in rear  end lots of performance and once again we're going to call Battleship Gray uh the consigner  would call it Ferrari greo skuro or medium gray in Italian if you will well whoever would have  thought something that started as a economy car now is wearing a Fe
rrari Color with an LS2 engine  from say a Corvette a C5 Corvette Roadster shop chassis beautiful interior knew this would have  been maybe 2,000 bucks or less now we're seeing $130,000 yeah multiple of 40 or so above the  original of the original sticker price to be sure 13 ,000 from Chevy to its cross town mtown  rival Ford here's a 67 Ford Mustang little bit of bullet style although technically the bullet  I believe was a 1968 but you know sort of that semih Highland Green we're going to call
it  you know and now it's got a manual six-speed transmission made it to that 8 cylinder engine  they've lowered it take a look under the hood right here yeah nice I love the fact they've  kept a four engine in there it's beautiful all the way around we talked about the 1967 and the  significant changes and how that when they made the 67 they enlarged the engine compartment and  you'll notice one of the things that they've done here they've shaved off the suspension components  normally you wou
ld have had the string Springs coming down here but it's very common with a lot  of uh aftermarket Restorations they shave this off go to a much lower suspension so they can get  a little more engine in [Music] there yes you see the modern for engine under the hood you have  Highland green paint from 1968 of course on a 67 Fastback body I don't think that hurts it very  much and the wheels even though they are newer and wider in the back they look like something  off of a 65 or a 66 so a really
NE match up [Music] here it's almost 200 ft from The  Auction Block to the muscle Lounge where that bitter assistant is holding that yellow  towel to make sure that he's recognized and seen by the auctioneer but his bitter  has walked away and the hammer Falls of $15,000 all right back across town to General  Motors and we're going to move forward to 1968 and this customized Pontiac GTO you a little while  ago we saw a Cuda from uh 1970 go across the block custom in white it jumped out and this
is another  one of those where you're not used to seeing this color we see so many of these that are you know  Carousel red or some of the other more popular Pontiac colors seeing it white really makes it  jump out on the stage underneath the hood that 6.2 L engine 525 horsepower I love how they shaved  the firewall back there see the cold air induction right there nice job both outside and inside using  that white [Music] paint well the GT didn't have much Chrome to begin with so they lend them
selves  really well to what the kids call the Stormtrooper treatment right here white with all the black trim  black interior just like out of Star [Music] Wars first year of the Endura front bumper rubber  covered steel backed little heavier than the chrome bumper which was a delete cost option but  most of the gto's came this way and to Tyler's point you know it's got that white Endura bumper  on the front and they've Whited out the chrome bumper that would have been on the back so white  from
front to back $882,000 and that GTO has a new owner next car rolling to the auction block  is going to be a 1968 Ford Bronco but to see it you're going to have to join us over  on FYI because that'll do it for our 3 hours of live coverage here on the history  Channel and if you want more and we know you do we're going to be here for six more  hours watching Dream Rides roll across the barx block on FYI now if FYI is not your  current channel lineup contact your local cable provider to find out
which packages  include fyr for Rick Tyler April and Bob I'm Mike thanks for coming along for  the ride we'll see you shortly over on [Music] FYI [Music] welcome back to the Valley of the Sun  greater Phoenix Arizona on the northeast side of town sits Westworld in Scottdale the longtime  home of the Barett Jackson collector car auction in this half mile long tent likee structure sit  nearly 2,000 desirable collectible Vehicles cars trucks SUVs and more and we've been Bronco  busting all day toda
y Friday with customized and restored Broncos hi everybody I'm Mike Joy  along with Bob Vara Rick De Brule Tyler Hoover and April Rose and we get to watch all these  great Dream Rides Across The Auction Block some for jaw-dropping prices like the $145,000  that just took home this 1968 Ford Bronco custom and right up behind it from General  Motors a 69 Chevy Camaro RS well there's something about Chevrolet and Customs that seems  to rule the day here at Barrett Jackson when we were going through
the docket and looking  at all the numbers associated with it more than 700 Chevrolets are represented and it's  only about half that many when it come to Ford now there's a wide variety of Chevrolets that  we're talking about you know you've got cars like these Camaros you've got Corvettes and  then you've got the tri five Chevy so there's a wide range but boy there's no shortage  of 1969 Camaros because everybody loves a body style and there's so many great parts  available to customize in th
is Cas a 6.2 L LS3 V8 the trimic six-speed manual transmission  ceramic coated headers Detroit steel Co steel coilover suspension it's got everything you want  in a beautiful Resto [Music] mod that RS stands for Rally Sport primarily an appearance package  where you get the Hideway headlights and bit of upgrades in the interior optional and available  on any Camaro from bass to Super Sport or even Z28 and you can see they put the LS3 badges  on the bump out of the hood as well as on the back and
I'm always interested to see  how they dress up the engine some of them they make them look vintage we saw earlier  this one to cover up all the wiring and the fuel uh delivery they put a 2010 or newer modern  engine cover on it nice touch there this one got a full hisser restoration as well and you can  see that black paint is just gleaming Detroit Speed suspension forged wheels big disc  brakes and a big number we're at $150,000 Bid And The Hammer drops there's a happy new  owner and when thi
s car rolls back out into the Hall you will see the Summit Racing  sold sticker into indicating the hammer price $150,000 to which a 10% buyer's premium  is added let's go back to 1959 for this Chevy Corvette well maybe for the body of this Corvette  because I can tell you just about everything else associated with this car is pretty much brand  new you know you've got that LS3 engine under the hood that makes 465 horsepower that modern  automatic transmission it's got Corvette running gear from
Corvette correction so once again  yes does it say it's a 1959 absolutely maybe it started life that way but it's a long way from  that now and I was talking about how they dressed up the engine on these this one doesn't have  a modern cover over it they painted it all to match the intake and the covers for the valve  covers and the fuel rail all matching the car to make it look seamless wow look how green this  Corvette is I mean long green we're closing in on 195 almost 20000 ,000 will this b
e our fourth yes  our fourth $200,000 sale of the day I remember in the early days of Las Vegas when we suddenly  discovered custom Corvettes could bring big money well that will make a change in  our Haggerty top five sellers of the day brought to you by Hagerty Insurance  fifth right now of 6 Nomad at 180,000 at 200,000 a 66 chevel Malibu and a 59 Corvette  a a customized Ford F250 at 202 before we came on the air today and a superformance mark iiii  Cobra replica race car at $220,000 is curre
ntly our top seller it won't stay there by the end  of the night I don't think so let's move on to Lot 10 60.1 the 67 Ford Mustang Eleanor replica  well we've seen several eleanors of course from the G and 60 seconds movie the second one with  Nick Cage or the Remake and of course it was a different color this one looks great though  in white you saw the kyote V8 under the hood manual transmission black stripes with a  subtle little red pin stripe going down them as well this body kit really bri
ngs  out the 67 Fastback look and many of these builds cross the block of bar Jackson they all  always look fantastic yeah the standard color for these of course is the pepper gray but  uh this white once again just as with that custom GTO that came across a little while ago  really leaps out up here on the Block under the lights the Eleanor look is a mixture of custom  and Shelby GT500 Parts all to mimic the movie car of course and no nitrous button in there so  no Go baby go to be completely s
creen accurate but uh you'd be crazy to use nitrous and try  and jump over some cars in this one sold for $150,000 making him the happiest guy on  his Road among the cars and trucks that are coming to the auction block keep an eye  out for lot 1067 this custom 67 Chevrolet C10 pickup frame off nut and bolt restoration  with a GM perform performance LS3 great [Music] engine from the luxury Sky boxes there's a  look down on the bitter floor in the distance world famous Barrett Jackson collector  c
ar auction block hi everybody I'm Bob bar show rotating back into the host seat  thanks to Mike joy for giving me a little break there right now on the Block is a 2022  Chevy Silverado Bandit Edition custom pickup truck well of course we're not just talking any  Bandit we're talking Smokey in the Bandit you know not that this paint style was created  for the movie but once the movie came out well this black and gold everybody loved now  what's interesting about this one is this is technically a
prototype for a company called  legendary which was creating an entire series of these so this is the very first one that they  came up with on this 2022 Chevy Silverado pickup chassis yeah it's pretty wild to see a modern  version of a Chevy pickup truck given the Hot Rod or custom treatment and you can see  they had to work around a little bit on the copyright they couldn't do a phoenix or  a Firebird screaming Chicken on the back so they sort of redid it in their own sort of  Bandit Arrow sor
t of difference and there's carbon fiber all over this thing the variation  of snowflake wheels that you would have seen on the Trans Am on the side as well looks really  sharp yeah they say that legendary actually partnered with a company called Superior  Industries to build these very special 22in Wheels once again you know evoke The Styling  of those snowflake wheels from a long time ago behind those wheels and tires eight piston brakes beautifully done in the interior as well  on the dashboa
rd it says 707 horsepower so the engine quite a bit upgrade as well neat truck  $882,000 takes it I think that better had to be told the bad news that it wasn't going his way  unless he was willing to up the ante let's join April Rose now hey this car has garnered quite the  crowd around it 1981 DeLorean of course you got the All Steel body DeLorean Motor Company right  here but of course do I need to mention this is a recreation from the movie Back to the Future  with all the correct neon light
ing all the way around of course the iconic Gold Wing doors but  take a step inside this is where all the magic happens now you got the almanac so you can put  all your money on the 85 Bears and the problem is it doesn't go up to 88 cuz that's the magic  number to time travel but you have this right up here where you can turn the knob and get to  that 88 destination time present time last time departed this is all correct to the movie man  I need this hoverboard right here that'd be a lot easier
to get around Barrett Jackson flux  capacitor here let's go on all the way to the back all the correct specs back here you have  the plutonium chamber so you can put plutonium in there for your power in the later movies  they just put trash garbage which would be a fantastic idea but right now actually there's a  fog machine hidden in there for all the fog to come out in the back I love this now Bob I wanted  to ask you because if I went back in time to buy a car brand new that the value has go
ne up I would  get that 56 SL300 Gall wing and I put that in my collection and let it sit but you know if you  went back in time what car would you buy new oh boy oh boy uh Ferrari 250 GTO all right he  got me beat well I'll tell you this doc would be so proud of your command of all the features of  that car great job here's a 66 Jag The Immortal e type series 1 Roadster well from the moment this  debuted in 1961 it got everybody's attention and one of the main reasons is when this was design  t
he designer at Jaguar at the time was really an aerodynamicist who had you know worked in in  the aircraft industry during World War II so he wasn't designing a car that was going to look  pretty his goal was to design a car that just flew through the year was very clean aerodynamically  and amazingly he killed two birds with one stone nice and aerodynamic fast and absolutely beautiful  well you were talking about the Ferrari earlier Bob the 250 of this era and Enzo Ferrari the  man who built th
at car thought this was the most beautiful car of all time e type Jag which is  quite a compliment from that man I personally love these I had a 66 myself and I couldn't believe how  easily it was to whip this thing around was able to do donuts was able to drift it not this exact  car but a different version in British RAC than Green Let's be clear about that 82,000 takes it  to its new home and I'd say that's just about Market from what I've seen in recent years  I too love these type Jags [Mus
ic] really nice except for that truck okay here  comes Lot 10 63.1 a 1970 chabel custom convertible well custom is the word it does  have the Cal induction but it is not an LS6 454 tribute they have a modern LS under there you  can see the big supercharger over 800 horsepower with this thing absolutely unreal but otherwise  a very stockl looking Body Beautiful yeah stock looking body but underneath it's got a modern  speed Tech CH or chassis underneath made it to a very modern automatic transmis
sion but boy  if you're looking for the great combination in terms of color The White Stripes the  big engine this is the body style to work on thing been massaged way  under the money right here 120 so Craig was talking about how lovely it  looks underneath with the chassis but then also look at the interior all totally custom  Diamond stitched modern buckets but it's all seamlessly integrated uh to look fantastic with  the 1970 dimensions of the [Music] Interior now we could look at the van a
little bit closer out  what this actually came across as but you know the significance thing is it doesn't really matter  what it started life as it's been beautifully done in fact I'm looking underneath here  at the gas tank it looks like underneath it looks just as clean and fresh it as it  does from up above so it's a really fresh build3 and the biders appreciate it to the tune  of $135,000 congratulations to that gentleman nice acquisition and I agree the 70 chevel really  is the body style
to have in that model line moving on lot 1064 is a 1969 International Scout  custom pickup well as Mike likes to say never have I ever have I seen Scouts roll across the block  before absolutely have I seen one customized to this degree never you know it's been Whited  out as Tyler said they've done the uh the all white the storm trooping system you know that's  got that big GM 6.2 L engine twins 68 mm turbos man it's got a custom chassis underneath you  know the International Scout was never re
ally a very fancy vehicle but today this one has been  dled up to the Max and let's take a look at the chassis cam on the world's first maybe Drifter  International twin turbo LS right there has to have something big backing it up yes a very  beefy drive shaft and you can see that modern suspension there as well to where you can kick  this thing around a corner what a wild and crazy thing and so often you wonder where did  they get the idea for this just happen to have a scout laying around and
thought I  can do something like this and boy I I'm not sure are there any body panels that would  even come close to being stock on this thing well it still has a truck bed but no tailgate  and very little space do much of anything the fuel door is right here but it goes around and  in down into the woods so you can see a little bit of the fuel line going in but yeah is the  top still removable it might it doesn't have a roll bar I think I would have had that if I took  this [Applause] drifted
know they made the Scout from I think 1961 all the way up to like 1980  the great thing is Volkswagen is actually going to be bringing the Scout name back as an electric  vehicle an ruv rugged Offroad [Applause] [Music] $75,000 took a little work but it got there and  that's the gentleman who owns it now now here's a little program reminder be sure to catch SEMA  Battle of the builders 2023 it's on the History Channel tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. eastern [Music]  time then turn over to FY I and then th
e History Channel and spend all day with us here on Super  Saturday at Barrett Jackson here's lot 10641 a 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha wagon I think we heard from  April about this car earlier yes like she told us this is the end of the line for the civilian  Hummer it got the Duramax twin turbo diesel engine before this they had sort of a Wheezy 6.5  L turbo diesel wasn't as reliable and about half the power but this brush card you can see it  hooks into these massive hooks here on the top of the Humme
r these hooks were originally in place  for military purposes to where a helicopter could lift it off the ground so it's going to be very  stable on this brush guard you could hit just about anything well of of course the Hummer evolve  from the hum V and one way to tell the difference between them is whether it's got a serial number  for a VIN number if it just has a serial number well then it's a military grade if it actually  has a VIN well then it started Life as a civilian version now to sa
ve weight on the military  Hummers and civilian the body is made out of aluminum but on these wagons this paneling this  part upper part is made of steel so a common issue between the two is to have the metals  match and there's corrosion in in between something you want to check and I don't see it  on this one very clean example of a last year civilian Hummer and $165,000 takes it moves  it into a tie for seventh on the day but not enough to break into the top 10 sales of the  auction now here'
s a car coming up in just a little bit a real hot ride a 1970 Mercury Cougar  Eliminator 428 Super Cobra Jet dark Sinister shiny [Music] [Music] 1 [Music] 15 uh love that little girl  she got so into bidding presumably that's dad next door saying yeah go  ahead raise it a little bit and she got it and she was so happy but even more  so relieved $100,000 is the winning bid on this Bronco stop me if you've heard  this before yet another beautiful SUV and lots of smiles on that row okay if  it's no
t an SUV it's a pickup Tru here's lot 10661 out of the Brian Frank collection a 77  GMC Sierra 3500 camper special 3 + three yeah we're used to hearing two plus twos but in this  case you've got three in the front three in the second row and of course the camper special now  this is part of the Brian Frank collection the other day I was talking with Brian I said you  know so you a lot brought a lot of great cars and I said which one's your favorite and he says  oh of course the one that brings t
he most money I went no no which one do you really like he  says honestly it's this one right here this 1977 GMC Sierra 3500 he says it's just fun to  ride around in well I can certainly see why the suspension has been lowered in modernized  so you don't have such a trucky ride but it still has that old school and numbers matching  454 under the hood so the nice big block bural and then just look at the thing it's massive  it's hilarious and it still has all of its original chrome and badges on
the outside I  love that camper special back on the end of the cab with a three plus three yes and for  the younger generation out there once upon a time we had these campers that would fit right  in the pickup truck [Music] [Applause] B yeah we still see them on the highways every now and  then there's a bonding experience well done that is one sharp vehicle and also one large one  moving on lot 1067 is a 67 Chevy C10 custom [Music] pickup well this one you can see  under the hood a supercharge
d LS engine I was talking to the consigner he was riding  the passenger seat as it came up on the Block he said about 550 horsepower so he didn't want  to build it to be absolutely crazy definitely a streetable but plenty of horsepower and then  you can see the rest of the truck build around it is absolutely flawless this beautiful  firewall and presentation there and you go down the side laser straight body on this 67  pickup well going into this auction we knew the C10 pickups were going to be
on fire and we're  right now sitting at $215,000 I don't want to say this one's flaming but it is moving fast  yeah I think it's got a ways to go too let's see 1967 of course the very first year for this  B body style and I think this wow oh this 67 to 72 just seems to be the high watermark for what  people want out of these custom C10 pickups there we could it be could it be, yes it could [Music] [Applause] $300,000 there it goes whoa  talk about a Barrett Jackson moment new top [Music] seller
make sure you get his autograph after  he signs the [Music] contract okay deep breath everybody 10671 is a 67 Mercury Comet Capri R  code well what's really cool about this this is an rcode vehicle came with that 427 cubic inch  425 horsepower engine it's got those two four barrel carburetors made it up to a four-speed  manual transmission you know back in 1967 the Capri was the second step of the it's call it the  ladder for Mercury Comet you know up at the top with a Cente and the Cyclone but
what somebody did  here was put the big engine in the lower level car so certainly a very special vehicle the 427 one of  six definitely deserve the frame off restoration but they already started with a really nice  car 19,000 original miles on it and then fully restored just one of only six of these made  and I love the fact with that Capri badge right there on the tail right right by the tail  lights you know we think of there were Capri that came later some of them not so great  but this ise
tt pretty cool in this in this form thank you this car I've been all over all three Vin  stamped areas in the sheet metal are perfect and and 100% original drivetrains great  VIN number transmission original engine transistorized ignition you can't miss on this  car it's way under the money right now coming from the Brian Frank collection the rarest of  the rare don't miss that's Jason Phillips who is one of the experts for Barrett Jackson here  where he goes and looks at the in this case the Fo
rd products and make sure that they are what  they're supposed to be they've got uh various people who do that and once again the goal is  to make sure that what is on the car card what is described as is accurate so so when he  goes and looks at it and he discovers it's something special he can add a little more oomph  to the block when they're up there describing all this it sells at $135,000 another big hitter out of the Brian Frank collection wow I  need a break how about you oh here's [Musi
c] one welcome back to Barrett Jackson Scottdale no  it's not just about cars and other dramatic vehicles on The Auction Block as Rick debru  described earlier it's about food it's about Automobilia it's about all sorts of options  things to do things to see weird stuff to buy we've got helicopters out there we've got  lawn ornaments it's amazing the vendor area is an experience unto itself and right now on  the Block speaking of experiences we're at 90 grand 100 Grand and it keeps climbing so I
'll  hand over this 1939 Lincoln Zephyr custom to the boys yeah what a cool concept you know John  Cho was the original designer of the Zephyr and if that name sounds familiar because his  son Tom charta was the designer of the panta we actually had couple pantas going across  the block this week here at Barrett Jackson John charart was really into aerodynamics and that  just shows here on this beautiful body style from 1939 and that's why it lends itself so  well to customization we see probabl
y more Customs effers than Originals  which would have had a flathead V12 this one now a 5.4 in supercharge so probably  something out of a late '90s early 2000s Ford Lightning and our good friend Steve Manan we  very proud of the fact that they kept a Ford product in in the engine compartment instead  of uh going with a Chevy crate engine nothing wrong with the Chevy but you know let's keep  it in the family check out the price on this hot [Music] rod yeah John stupy lower  right of your screen
now he had a bit in there he keeps gesturing for the hammer  to fall there you go and it does at 185,000 what what are you doing to me here of Dreams  John knows how these auctions work better than most okay their next slot is a 1970 Mercury  Cougar Eliminator 428 scj Super Cobra Jet and here are a few Hagerty fast facts there was  just a 2-year production run of eliminators in 69 and 70 2200 were built in 1970 alone  this particular Eliminator is one of only three that were painted black it's
very  rare and you know what that means to its value well to be honest with you we go through  some be Jackson auctions where we don't see a lot of cougars rolling across the block today  has been awesome we have seen a number of not just good cougars but great cougars finished  nicely but also really important like this 428 cubic inch Super Cobra Jet you know a rare  creature beautifully done and I love the styling from this 1970 year you know as they close the  hood let's take a look at the uh
the grill that they changed in 1970 they went from that more  subtle remember we saw a little bit earlier today was a much thinner now they've gone to a  much broader look not quite the electric razor that'll show up in a couple years and this  cougar has a very cool story so of the three built in black two are on the west coast One S  to the east coast this one was raced in Period and all the black ones or any color came with  a black stripe so sort of a stealth striping on this one and it is
the numbers matching engine  but they decided to board over a little bit for extra performance a little hot rotting to it even  though it's totally original it sells for 200,000 or 186,000 if you're writing a check Nic lead  done sir beautiful car you know what I'd like to see in a Mercury vein is a merour we ever had  a merour I don't think so okay we move on to Lot 10 69.2 6 uh excuse me 72 GMC Jimmy custom SUV  first I just have to pause and think somebody just even mentioned a maror I haven'
t heard  that name in a long time you we thought that was going to be the future at one point for  Lincoln Mercury and boy that went pretty fast one little performance car but we don't see many  of them here at Barrett Jackson but we do see our beast and that is exactly the nickname of this  1972 GMC Jimmy looking to that hood got an LT T4 engine supercharged it's four-wheel drive  we got a six-speed transmission quickly up to $100,000 and let's take a look at the chassis  cam on this lovely two
tone Jimmy you can see the underside of that supercharged lt4 that  would have come from a C7 Corvette and being four-wheel drive that front transfer case kicking  that drive shop off of the front going off the side then there's the back drive shaft a dual  exhaust beautiful suspension [Music] wow yeah I'm going to guess it's about a 4in lift  and I like what they've done in the paint you know it's nice and white on the outside  you see that red touches you know with the GMC in the back you know
once again we see the  Blazers coming on strong the Broncos coming on strong I still can't believe that Scout that  we had over across the block just a little bit earlier anything that's an SUV that can be  customized is being customized here at Barrett Jackson I was talking to some consigners earlier  who were talking about the incredible prices of trucks we saw one sell for 300 Grand earlier  the jimmies this one's a little bit less with as a Blazer a lot of them were're talking about  bringi
ng trucks next year 115,000 sends it up to the top of the luxury boxes there and there was  much celebrating moving on everybody's favorite a baby bird this is lat 1070 of 57 roadst  [Music] convertible well this isn't just a Thunderbird this is done by the mentor family  out of Texas and boy did they do the absolute best te- Birds on the planet you know talking  with the mentors a long time ago we we've talked about the fact that they don't do these two stock  specifications they do them two be
tter than stock specifications and the point being is they often  point out people who are spending big money for a Thunderbird like this one and trust me these  will always bring big money money they don't want something that looks stock what they want  is something that's better than stock and once again the mentor family they are known throughout  the Thunderbird world as the Pinnacle in terms of restoration and quality and the spec chosen  on this restoration is just fantastic you have power
prakes windows the Town and Country signal  seeking radio and Willow Green is the color yeah and under the hood that 312 C inch 245 horsepower  you know this was not a sports car this was really designed to be a personal touring car it had a  little softer suspension in 1957 because they took away one of the leaf springs in the back and  discovered that well it just wasn't quite as nice as they wanted so there was some suspension work  that went on for [Music] 1957 and you know the interesting
thing for a lot of American buyers  you know American buyers didn't really for you know for the people who are spending money for  a car like a Thunderbird they didn't want sports car ride they didn't want it to be harsh they  wanted it softer and that's exactly what this delivered it was kind of a cross between a  sports car and a regular you know personal car not to mention it being much easier  to fit into than say a Corvette it's interesting that the Corvette started as  something similar to
this and then went in a completely different direction  of the sports car considering the demands of the day the bird continued on  well it's a totally different car after 1957 wow even for a mentor restoration I don't  think we're used to seeing numbers like this 190,000 [Music] 200,000 200,000 congratulations to  Amos and Justin Minter in their Thunderbird collection in Willow Green that was  [Music] huge very discriminating bidder W that now here's lat 107.1 a 1968 Ford Bronco  custom SUV ye
ah once again like we've seen with so many this has a coyote engine under the  hood in this case it's a Gen 2 Coyote engine so where does the coyote name come from why are  they calling these coyotes well go back to your Indie 500 history and your indie car racing  history Gentlemen by the name of AJ Foy you might have heard of won four Indie 500s the  last two he won with a coyote chassis and a Ford engine so when they were looking to name  it they thought well let's go ahead and connect it bac
k up with those performance cars that AJ  Foy built and won the Indie 500 with so that's what the coyote name comes from well the last  great Bronco we had across the block was in a for Ferrari Color looked very similar to this  but this is actually a Ford color lunar Rock something you could option on a new Ford Bronco  so 3 and 1/2 in lift coyote motor 35 in tires a lot of paint by numbers on these custom Broncos to  bring the money but there's always just something a little bit different with
each one this one  does look fantastic in that factory Ford color the natural interior as well beautiful build you  know just a few years ago we would have said oh who's going bring a gray car and get big money  for it you know it's got to be once again that resale red or that spectacular you know something  bright something bold some of those uh you know ebody Chrysler colors but nope Battleship gr  $130,000 takes it I really like that color combination myself here's a car that's coming up  af
ter a break 2014 rollsroyce WRA say that three times fast twoone exterior cram white leather  interior powerful 625 horses you got to see this ah yes there the aroma of grilled meat  wafts through the air here at Westworld of Scottdale the people continue to stream around  the campus take in all the sights and sounds of the world's greatest collector car auction  Barrett Jackson now on the Block at $125,000 bid 72 Chevy K20 custom pickup truck yeah this  one actually built or redone I should say
here in Phoenix by hogi shine Dan Hogan does great  job with his Customs built this one from top to bottom and underneath I can tell you it's  just as clean as it looks up on top it's got a combined suspension lift together  with a body lift on this long bed pickup truck that's very strong money for a long  bed the 8ft bed more associated with Tradesmen pickups the 6 and 1/2t bed with  the more sporting aspirations now look at the fauxwood trim along the side here usually  it looks Walnut but h
ere it's done in a silver and white and gray complimenting the paint on  the truck rather than what grew in the forest [Applause] [Music] nice 157,000 takes it to that  gentleman hand shakes all around and we're going to April Rose hey Bob I'm in the pre-staging lanes  once again with this beautiful 1974 Bronco custom everything has been reworked on this you see even  these fender flares no seams it's just perfectly fabricated no seams up front that you would  normally see really beautiful LED h
eadlights right there now this one's got a 347 V8 440  horsepower inside is just super nice you got Bentley blue leather with diamond stitching and  suede inserts and all the handles all the metal has been clad in this beautiful sort of pter  muted color absolutely love it now come on the back here there's these great waterfall style  speakers also in that Bentley blue color now this is finished in Washington blue with sort  of a Shelby America tribute to this wimble ban white racing stripes thi
s is the hard top it  comes with I love that red pinstripe running through it these are so fun I feel like these  first generation Broncos it's like a treasure hunt to see what Builders are doing to them and  how different and wild each one of them can be their value is just going up and up so it'll  be fun to see this cross the Block in just a few Bob that we will April and you could tell the  values are going up we have so many of them here at Barrett Jackson in 2024 here's Lot 10 72.1 a  72 F
ord Bronco custom SUV hammered that way at $135,000 we going to see a lot of these on the  highways leaving Phoenix bar Arizona when this weekend is over so we'll move on to lot 1073  car that April showed us earlier it's just a milestone of the culture that never seems  to fade 1981 DeLorean dmc2 Mr Fusion time machine Recreation so where did they get the  name remember Mr Coffee you know the do what yourself Brew your own coffee well Mr Coffee Mr  Fusion let's do nuclear fusion in a kit and uh
you drop the fuel into what looks to me like a  quinart big big big things happen they even have the copy of USA Today as it would have been in the  future they have gone to a great great deal uh of effort and research to make this exactly like the  movie car uh right up here I believe that yellow that uh that's the item that is removed where  everything drops in the top or where the fuel drops in the top and away it goes this is a John  DeLorean I don't know if he would have approved but nobod
y can forget this iteration of the  DeLorean so what's fun is if you go to O'Reilly Auto Parts and go onto their website and look up  fleux capacitor it's listed on their website but they say it's out of stock not available that's  funny $110,000 take makes it as you've heard Mike Joy is back on the case we're going to take a  break and return with more of Barrett Jackson Scottdale stay right [Music] there there's a  beautiful view of the Barrett Jackson auction block and right at the center of
your picture big  money being offered for a 64 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Roadster smallest engine linee this one upgraded  with European headlights beautifully clean fresh paint wo $200,000 I don't think I have ever seen  a pagota Edition 230 250 280 SL generation sell for this kind of money well now you have because  the hammer just dropped at 200 Grand goodness me wow and it is a beautiful car the interior  color is Palomino here's a car we previewed briefly earlier in fact this was one that I  sto
od next to it our side by side collection of rolls-royces a 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith and  you've got to open the door and look at this uh roof liner and I love the crystal Spirit of  ecstasy as Bob described that actually drops down and disappears to prevent theft cream white  in interior two-tone exterior and yes you have to look at the twinkling Starlight headliner  something else to entertain the kids as you go down the road at night well and as Bob Po pointed  out during our broadcast yesterd
ay this is the second wraith that we're going to see cross the  block we've got another one that's going to cross the block a much more vintage one uh this is the  modern V generation the original wraith came out back in the late 30s this generation of wraith  came across starting in 2013 well this is the one I'd want gosh $130,000 a fraction of the  original MSRP twoo hard top body style this isn't just an executive Express this is like  the head of third world country Express and I tell you wh
at this is Rolls-Royce finally moving  into what I call the modern era designing looking at what was going on with Bentley saying we need  to be a sleeker 2 it sells at 132,000 you didn't quite get to see the twinkling staright roof liner  basically it lights up with about a hundred little twinkling lights I thought that was very cool  and off it goes to its new home never thought I'd see a Fastback Rolls-Royce it looks like a  good one okay lot 1075 is a 1965 Volkswagen 21 window custom Microbu
s the original name of  this vehicle in Volkswagen parlament was the type 2 the beetle was the type one and the bus  was the type two so how do you get to 21 Windows you don't count the windshields even though there  are two of them but you count all of these windows and the clearest story windows up in the roof  nice metallic almost Healy blue paint job with white for Porsche of Wheels a lot of upgrades it  wasn't born with and as you mentioned this is the 21 window Edition there is a 23 window
Edition  that would then have an additional window right here this one's been modified in pretty much  all the right places it's got a uh instead of having a 1500 C engine back there it's now been  upgraded to a very much more Modern Performance more than 2,000 cc's in there so it'll work a  lot better note the bumpers they are not just white they are pearlescent white as is the roof  so a really attractive twoone a lot of effort has gone here and I think welld deserving of the  sixf figure vii
d at present yeah look inside I love what they've done in the steering wheel  the steering wheel also has a little Porsche cap on it so just like the wheels down below that  have the Porsche emblem that steering wheel's got it as well nicely done let's take a walk  down memory lane guys how many years ago was it that somebody brought a nicely restored VW bus  to Barett Jackson and it went to the moon yeah I think it's back when we used to have our auction  in Orange County that we used to go to
suddenly it was over $100,000 everybody went wait a minute I  got to get one of those that's right it was over 200,000 as I recall this one goes to 117 will you  speak to what we know of as the Barrett Jackson effect uh one year we had a Barney 5 police car  come to Scottdale and the person who bought it paid way too much for it and at the very next  auction there were eight police cars including a border patrol car because all the builders  said oh police cars we got to make one and they did an
d only that one Barney 5 car with Don not  signature did any real money and there was also the AA cars remember those one hit the Rope boom  they all came out yep people are funny let's go to Tyler coming to the block soon is a Shelby tribute  selling for a great cause so you can see it looks like a 1968 Shelby GT 350 but it isn't it is a  tribute and it was actually student built the car was sent to Northeast Texas Community College  automotive restoration program incomplete it was a 68 convert
ible but they chose to make it into a  Shelby tribute you can see the interior has all the correct Shelby Parts it has that 68 Shelby  roll bar if it were real it'd be one of 404 built that year in convertibles but this one is  a beautifully executed car built by students at the college now you look under the hood and it is  a little different a Rous 302 cubic in V8 but I don't think anybody Minds a nice Performance  Engine in a tribute like this and since it was built by Northeast Texas Communi
ty college  students it is sold to benefit their foundation so it'll go as a scholarship to students there  who will continue building beautiful cars like this that's a great cause thank you Tyler and  here's another of what Tyler rightly described Enzo Ferrari once called the most beautiful car in  the world a Jaguar ETI a series 1 Roadster 4.2 L series one that means you get well this one has  uh the toggle switch Dash not the rocker switch Dash that was later and it does have the covered  hea
dlight 67 would be the last year for those before the feds got involved and said no that's  not really a good idea and the last year for the tail lights above the bumper this is the E type in  its purest form and I think most attractive yeah as time would go on they'd put the 12 cylinder  in they' do 2 plus two they'd really over kind of complicated it with this first generation  61 to 67 absolutely the best that inline six was a classic engine I agree with everything said  about this one and I
love it in red over [Music] black and it goes for 87,000  that is a mild good buy I think especially with the covered headlights  great stuff okay another break coming up step away for a moment and return as the  sun begins to sink low here Scottsdale Arizona plenty more to come from the  Barrett Jackson electric car [Music] [Music] auction good money on the Block a Ferrari  F430 Spider from 2008 is at $165,000 in counting drop top version with the glass and engine lid  the visible engine the ch
allenge Grill in the back forged alloy wheels F1 transmission beautiful  car $170,000 worth in the eyes of that man and that's the measure of value whatever somebody's  willing to pay for it but it is a beautiful car fairly low miles it's a good buy moving on lot  1079 9 is a 1968 Dodge Charger custom Coupe well it's got a Hemi and the Hemi used to be called  The Elephant motor so I guess you combine all of those and you come up with helephant uh this  is a modern Chrysler Hemi and what's this c
ar's nickname of course Dumbo perfect nickname for a  elephant yeah this gu got a th000 horsepower now coming out of that 426 cubic in helephant engine  with a six-speed manual transmission that S60 rear end 410 gears and once again Destroyer black which  is a color we're seeing on the modern Challengers and Chargers Hideway LED lights in the front  digitales in the back lot of customization big three-piece forged wheels willwood disc breaks  bucket seats pistol grip RP shifter is a nod to the P
ast no surprise we're over $200,000 for  this big elephant yeah and look it's I mean it's once again that Destroyer gray goes through  everything they've taken off the old bumper that would have wrapped around a little bit cut it  in made a body color from front to back there is not a lot of chrome let's see is there any  Chrome no not the door handles not the outside I'm looking to see there literally is no Chrome  left on this thing it's either Destroyer gray or [Applause] [Music] black wow $2
50,000 that'll show that Ferrari well you  take a rare engine and you build a beautiful bepoke car around it lot of power a lot of fun  through that lot 10791 is a 2019 Corvette ZR1 well the buildout of what we now call the C7  generation of Corvette or seventh generation of Corvette and ZR1 the absolute performance  package you have your Z6 but the ZR1 pretty much trumps everything and they brought that  name back to show this as the buildout best we can new Final top performance edition of  Am
erica's two- seat sports car well to tell you how sophisticated it is under the hood it  has 13 different types of Radiators under the hood to radiate heat coming from everything the  transmission the engine the brakes everything under that hood so it's all about making sure  that they keep the engine at the proper operating temperature just about everything Chevrolet  knew that they could put into a front engine performance car is right here after this the  C8 Mid Engine Corvette comes along so
enjoy it while you can the great thing is there  are those who prefer the front engine the classic Corvette this is for them therefore  for those who want that next Generation that modern Supercar The Mid Engine Corvette boom  that's on the market right now so whichever way you want to go if you're a Corvette  Enthusiast whether you like old style or new there's car available for you and and I  mean serious performance cars carbon fiber Wing carbon fiber roof Scoops mirror housings  Fender vent
s Forge tws so much to love right here it's be just park this in your garage and  look at it you don't even have to drive it to appreciate how great this is as we close in toward  $200,000 we're going to get H going to get close 180 not sure what the retail price was with the uh various options on it there's a  bit of a premium there and well earned lot 1080 pulling into place 1970 Buick GS  4555 stage one well the GS stood for Grand Sport and there were various stages of engine tune and  option
s this one a pretty well optioned car uh a lot of documentation goes with it including uh  this reproduction window sticker which shows that someone went to Evanston Illinois and paid  $5,100 uh for this stage one upgrade Buick that was built to challenge the old 442 the Pontiac  GTO and the Chevy SS 396 well they only made 4 1, 1400 of these uh stage ones and of those only  232 were convertibl so it's a pretty rare Beast I love the fire red coloring and according to  consigner this car only has
71,000 M on the [Music] odometer don't look for a four-speed  stick here this one has the three-speed turbo hydramatic transmission with the basket  handle shifter on that uh you want to be seven hurry grain console [Music] 97 yeah  the consigner has a binder of receipts and original documents to go with this but just  make any collectible just a little bit more [Music] valuable you know Buick was technically the step below Cadillac it was you know supposed  to be almost a luxury car but in 197
0 they decided we need more performance  as well and that's how you got this GS not many Buick came with a  tachometer in the dash this one did $15,000 nicely done here's another car  coming up later on it's a 69 Ford F100 custom pickup and once again custom  is the word coyote 5 L with a 2.9 L Whipple supercharger wait till you hear about this one welcome back to Barrett Jackson the long  parade of cars continues in the staging Lanes Classics Customs Exotics anything you'd possibly  want or ima
gine you could ever have here in the staging Lanes but with the blueprint engine cam  let's let's take a look under the hood of lot 10901 a 1974 Bronco custom SUV now blueprint  engine built this engine is a 331 stroker so it started with a 302 and it's been stroked  so meaning the Piston the length it travels has been lengthen to 331 cubic in you can  see electronic fuel injection as well and every single blueprint engine is handbuilt  in Nebraska and Dino tuned before it sent off to this build
here in the Bronco only  200 mil since completion and you can see the beautiful body body here white with bronze  trim that is a satin finish here really well done lifted 35 in tires and then look inside  nice leather and then designer plaid interior wow wow indeed here's Lot 10 81.1 a 514d  F1 custom pickup boy nicely done with a nle brock eforce fuel injected  V8 gleaming bright white paint black wheels $120,000 and a away it rolls nice Riff  on the traditional badging and color schemes on th
ese pickup trucks now here's a vehicle that  April showed us earlier a 74 Ford Bronco custom SUV well this one has a little bit of celebrity  provenance built for a baseball player Onre e year used to play for the Dodgers and uh this  particular one actually was built as a custom here in Phoenix by all ways hot rods that  color that's Washington blue and of course wimon white racing strikes very similar to the  Dodgers colors a lot of new off-road equipment underneath and huge forged wheels and
disc  brakes added a nice set of Sixpoint belts on those Diamond stitched seats looks like  seating for three uh with the roll cage in there two up front one on the back and  a matching hard top goes along with it on its own hand and it too has the diamond  stitching in the headliner uh that we saw in the seats so wow full custom all the way  around even has the same stripes across the roof 1974 a big year for the Bronco that  was its high water mark sold 26,000 and frankly that wasn't very far
off from what  it sold its very first year it sold 24,000 on its debut year but 1974 the peak  for the bronos sales for this first generation yeah he wanted the hammer to  drop and it did 150 grand for that dodger blue custom SUV now we talk often about  the Automobilia sales that take place every morning at every bar Jackson  auction before the cars roll across the block here's some of the highlights  of today's Automobilia how about a 1940s authorized Buick Service double-sided  porcelain deal
ership sign Flawless $35,000 or this 1999 Dale Earnhart NASCAR race  car number three coin operated Kitty ride how come the kitties that all the fun $449,800  to take it home or this perfectly restored Gulf oil Heritage Edition themed fuel Island  not a pump the whole island a real showpiece $50,000 tell us what your wife said when  you say say you want to put it in the living room here we are now lot 1083 is a 23  Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat last call Black Ghost Edition well the very  interes
ting treatment over the roof here looks like snake skin uh you know  Viper skin maybe if you will and it is done in a ghost theme not quite gloss not  quite flat has the white bumble be stripe across the tail last call seems a lot of  these have come to the auction block this [Music] week sold it sold it sold it $157,000 come on how about a fist bu Lot 10  83.1 is next up 1963 Corvette Split Window custom Coupe yeah not wildly customized just  nicely customized let's say underneath that hood we'
ll see if we can't get it pulled up here  in just a moment 355 cubic inch V8 and I love the fact that they put on a Paxton Supercharger on  there so we're kind of going back to old school with this 1963 cuz if somebody was supercharging  back in those days that's exactly what they'd use wow edel Brock high flow intake added to this  uh this one so yeah probuilt uh probuilt engine Dart heads and uh it is all computer controlled  so very very modern stuff M22 Muny that's the rock Crusher transmiss
ion so-called because of  its straight cut gears noisy but very effective base coat clear coat paint on this one much  more modern look than how it was born there are the turban Wheels where which were optional  and experts disagree over whether any 63s were actually delivered with those Wheels uh they were  a regular production option in 64 but the stingray tail the spine is what defines this car as it  continues down the roof through the split of the rear window and all the way to the tail how
ever  Corvette owners did not like part of their rear view being blocked in the mirror making this a  one-year only feature Aros dunov didn't like it either he battled with Bill Mitchell over this  bill Mitchell won the first year but the second year they decided nope we're going and taking  it away we're doing what the owners say they want it was not the first car with a split rear  window there was an Alpa Romeo I believe disco valante a show car that had a similar treatment  what about the Vo
lkswagen split window from the early 50s I knew you were going to mention  what about it time to sell a car for a great cause let's go to the podium cable Recreation  driving it up is Aaron Shelby he's board member of the Carol Shelby International he is Vice  President of Carol Shelby Foundation welcome again to Barrett Jackson Aaron it's great to  have you here and Gary P president of Shelby as well my name is death van djk and I'm an alumni  of the car Shelby Automotive program at Northeast T
exas Community College and I'm one of the  Builders of the 68 Shelby that you're going to be bidding on today the Carol Shelby Automotive  program is a great program that Carol Shelby put in place the program gives students a great  opportunity to learn a skill that will help them get jobs in any kind of economy whoever  purchases this car today is going to directly impact the lives of students who go through  this organization Aaron Shelby tell us about the car and the foundation Craig thank yo
u for  having us here today you guys support charity so well year in and year out the Northeast Texas  Community College has the Carol Shelby Automotive Technical Training Program that was started  by Carol almost 15 years ago and what we do with through the foundation has provide dollars  for scholarships for students coming out of high school to get their two-year technical degree  this has been a core fundamental piece of the foundation for the last 15 years we were fortunate  enough from Leg
endary Motorcars uh Barry Smith to get this car donated to the school and they were  doing this to support 100% of the proceeds will go to the school itself supporting scholarships  and the students going through the program it's really something that we need as everybody knows  in the automotive World we're lacking workers out there and skilled trade workers and doing  this type of thing you saw Beth on the screen up there she actually helped build this car she  was doing an internship with Bar
ry Smith at the time so really excited to be here tonight thank  you guys best right down here by the car w at Beth all right Jose here well even without the charity component  this is a very sharp looking tribute to a Shelby convertible note the Lucas rectangular  fog lights yes they're British nobody else was making rectangular fog lights and that's what  fit in that Grill no buy fee no shell fee write your check directly to the charity for this  Sharp hot rod yeah they're actually calling thi
s a continuation in a way because when you  think about it you know it's got Shelby bones to start with and now Shelby DNA as it goes  through and once again I love the fact that they've been using either New Old Stock parts  or they've been remanufacturing reconditioning the existing parts that's got a little of  Aon Shelby's DNA on the steering wheel no doubt all right closing in on $100,000 got  the great Shelby styling Cobra badging the style bar behind the seats don't call it a  roll bar bu
t built in the spirit of the cars that won the sports car World Championship in  65 four-speed top loader trans Aaron come this issue so really think about that all the  proceeds are going straight to the college 809 and as Aaron was making the point once again  100% of the sales price goes to the organization to the charity Barrett Jackson's been doing this  literally since their very first event in 1971 that was to donate money to the Scottdale Arts  group and the library group so now here we
are all these years later they're still doing it  Joseph Mast imploring the crowd trying to get six figures for this Shelby GT500 continuation  convertible working hard one more bid could do it there we [Applause] [Music] go you know  the point Aaron was making you know it's tougher and tougher to find people  who can work on these cars thank you very support well there you have it $100,000 for a good cause especially dear to the hearts of automobile afficianados  we have another break coming up

evy C10 custom  pickup let's see how far this one goes uh we know $12,000 just a couple of cars ago an 82  Toyota Land Cruiser fj43 custom went for 175,000 okay here's a car we previewed earlier  sweet Elaine a 71 Chevy C10 custom pickup beautiful the way this one has been dropped  uh and and tubbed and just made to just about scrape on the ground now that white Grill that's  that's pretty original that's pretty much what you would get minus the chrome trim on a base  Chevy pickup you wouldn't g
et a chrome bumper you get a painted one the pointy this one has  been all redone don't look for wipers here or mirrors they have been remove but the badging  and door handles are there up comes the bed to reveal everything that's going on uh in that  rear end a lot of craftsmanship at work yeah in addition to all the suspension work you see  in the back end if you look right there you see the fuel tank now in the original car this would  have been right behind the driver back here and now they'
ve moved it back there so it's got a  little bit of weight on the rear wheels which can help things lock up just a little bit look  at this massive tubbing that they've done for these big huge rear tires nice airbag suspend  ension fuel cell and Battery relocated to the very rear end here for for weight transfer perhaps  a lot of craftsmanship at 170,000 bid and 170,000 sold congratulations sir now let's have a peek out  into the Maguire staging Lanes in this beautiful early evening light nice b
lue tint over a massive  crowd stretching as far as you can see making way only for the parade of cars making their way to  the staging lanes and the block this is lot 1086 a 66 Shelby GT 350h boy would I love to have one  of these now the H stands for Herz we're going to let clip help us with the hood here here Carol  Shelby wasn't selling enough cars they went to Herz and they said wouldn't you like to have some  of these to rent and that helped keep Shelby in business because there's the Cobr
a powered by Ford  engine most but not all of these were black with gold Stripes but always with an h and with the  her center caps on the wheels they were renter Racers some said some people took him rented him  took him to the track took the numbers off and returned them but most of them have now been  beautifully restored oh I want one Rick well and I there's no reason why you wouldn't because  it's Unique I think they made 999 of them didn't they that year just short of of 1,000 I think the
vast majority of them have automatic transmissions not all of them which that's something would  hold them back just a little bit in terms of performance but like you say a lot of people I  wonder how many of these were just thrashed when they were new there were other colors but most  of them were black and most are accounted in the Shelby registry and this one is about to have  a new owner for somewhere around $130,000 what a just what an iconic color scheme created for  Herz by Shelby that's
okay I took the insurance $130,000 and we're going to Tyler now we'll take  a look at this very special and rare 1973 Pontiac TransAm you can see on the Shaker Super Duty  455 which is one of 180 built in 1973 with an automatic transmission around 250 total so this  engine was on its way out one more year before emissions choked away these motors and we didn't  have serious performance 290 horsepower in this year but not only is it the Special motor it's a  really beautiful spec you see the whi
te with the white interior up on the hood the blue screaming  chicken and this one was originally delivered in Canada $400 option Canadian to have that motor  this one showing 36,000 original miles received a sympathetic restoration but to reserve as much  of the originality as they can special Trans Am Here beautiful Wheels quite a package you see  what it does when it crosses the block currently occupied by lot 1087 a 57 Ford Thunderbird custom  convertible yeah what's really custom about this
is what's under the hood a very nicely detailed  engine department and a modern Coyote engine and I got to say it's been beautifully installed in  there and of course I it's got a little bit of a let's say a backwards rake where the front  end is a little higher off the ground than the back but boy it's got performance up front  they've really done this as a Resto mod looks pretty stock from the outside and it's a  two-top car as the hard top Rolls by on its stand and that heart top done in kin
d of a  convertible top grain finish you know that has to be a difficult decision if you own one of  these whether to restore it or Resto mod it I kind of lean toward them being original but then  again most of them are so go this way 85,000 the Resto mod being a very contemporary looking body  style with all modern Mechanicals underneath so you get the old and the dependability of the new  Goodbye Mr son we'll be back to Barrett [Music] Jackson [Music] [Music] the engine bay an engineering Deli
ght so  many fabulous Mills been built over the years you just saw them at their very finest  and right now crossing the block is lot 10891 1969 Ford F100 custom pickup yeah it's a short  bed got that Coyote engine underneath the hood but it's got a Whipple supercharger attached  to it bringing some extra power big six-speed automatic transmission now to be honest with you  while we say it's an F100 from 1969 in reality it's pretty much just part of the body and that  may have been replaced cuz
it's got a special chassis underneath Roadster shop spec chassis  willwood brakes there isn't very much on this that might have started back in 1969 well check  out those Wheels forged aluminum centers and and carbon fiber rims wow that's something you usually  only see on exotic cars in the several $100,000 an [Music] uprange and once again the uh the Dark theme continues this almost  dark Battleship Gray look $197,000 we were that close specifically he  was that close and in it goes to the arc
hive of vehicles already sold here at Barrett Jackson  Scottsdale you find that at barrett-jackson.com along with the answers to any questions you might  have about baric Jackson how you can sign a car how you visit the auction whether you're a bidder  or not check it all out barrett-jackson.com here's lot 1090 and 1970 chevel SS 396 custom well I  like this because underhood it's very faithful to the way it was born 396 in 325 horsepower we've  got a more modern air conditioning uh compressor s
et up here but everything looks pretty Factory  so we'll call this a mild custom Rick yeah even to the point that they even got the uh the cow  markings that would have been coming from the factory so it's a custom but they've kind of  played with it made it very semi-original at the same time now what they've added is a pro  touring suspension a Ron Davis radiator bare 14in brakes and a trch 5speed manual transmission  I like the idea of having an overdrive if you're going to row your own gears
on one of these  well let's see the cheapest chevel you could buy back in 1970 was about 2530 bucks or  something like that we're a long way from [Music] there sold at $110,000 B of A team  effort there congratulations to the new owner sharp looking car one of many many hundreds  here at Barrett Jackson in Scottdale here's a 197 Ford Bronco custom SUV you know the short wheel  base and the straight axle of the four-wheel drive combined to give these little Broncos a pretty  rough ride these wer
e not comfortable Cruisers let's say but gosh they sure are fun this one has  a blueprint 331 stroker Engine with electronic fuel injection automatic transmission and a 3  and 1/2 in lift with billstein shots and a subtle thing that they've done here is they haven't cut  the rear wheel well so they've lifted it up so they've got plenty of room between the tire and  uh what would have been the place where it would have been rubbing but the fact that they've  left that on most of them are cut thes
e days and that's fine we all like that custom look  but I also like the originality of this note the finish of the wheels I think that's something  porsa now offers for an extra ,000 or so but that same finish is here on what would have been  the bright work of the trim and is repeated in the interior uh with a nice dark chocolate on  those bucket seats and a rather tasteful plaid that looks like it came straight out of a Triumph  tr8 partic white is the color you want to repaint one of these i
t's going to take about a gallon  and a half of paint doesn't seem like an awful lot but at $1,200 a gallon you're just into  $1,800 in the paint alone and $120,000 in the winning [Music] bid big smiles all around big fun  coming for them I think Porsche calls that paint treatment satin Neo dime well it's an exotic  enough name they can charge a lot for right exactly sounds like an expensive paint lot 1091  is a 1967 Mustang custom fast back well a little Shelby and a little uh you know kind of
bespoke  customizing here the grill opening is just what you'd expect but not this front splitter this has  been nicely done with a little bit of uh brake cooling here and fog lights there and a bodyc  colored bumper and then beneath the hood you've got your Ford small block with what look like  Weber carburators but are actually modern fuel injection and this believe is our third car  that was built for a baseball player that we've had cross the block today Vinnie Castillo  who played for I thi
nk Colorado Atlanta this was his hot rod that he had built you know we  always go back to in the very beginning of Barett Jackson how many times we us see Reggie  Jackson up here cuz he had quite a collection in fact Reggie Jackson actually was a consultant  for people who were buying cars but there's so many great athletes that you know once they get  the chance to do some fun things with the money they finally earned they're heading straight  for performance cars so the bumper here has been fa
red in and painted body color LED tail  lights with Billet housings uh a roll C looks like a half roll cage in this as well very  sharp yeah but not half a price look at that [Music] [Applause] $200,000 200 ,000 wow the thrill of [Music] victory sweet ride indeed all right this is Lot 10 91.1 a 74  Bronco custom SUV well this one's been given a lot of heavy duty treatment especially in  the front axle hey something in Gray a 5 L coyote V8 six-speed automatic transmission  Dana 20 dual range tran
sfer case Earl Gray over tobacco Upholstery and the interior these  seats at all much better than the Bronco was born with as I mentioned this was the high water  mark in terms of sales for the Bronco for this year but uh this is a long way from that  original Bronco and just a moment ago we showed you the fact that they were using  that that original looking Fender Flare right here where it was cut up to here this is  the big cutout with the uh added flares right there this is called a family r
oll cage  in this one I guess because there's still room for the family in back H somebody's wife  doesn't know he's here the action is Fast and Furious here on a Friday in Scottdale  but we still have a long way to go so buckle up and continue to ride along  with us for the next 4 hours [Music] [Music] it's 6:00 Mountain Time  prime time back on the East Coast the perfect time to join us for our  continuing coverage to the world's greatest collector car auction Barrett  Jackson Scottdale there'
s a beautiful Bronco beautiful SUV that's sold for $190,000 I'm Bob Vara working along with  Rick debrule Mike Joy Tyler Hoover and April Rose glad to have you with us as the  best of the best on this frantic Friday of Barrett Jackson continue for 4 hours here's  lot 1092 a 1952 Chevy 3100 custom pickup LS based engine under the hood tremix six-speed  manual transmission boy it's got that intake and controller kit all kinds of work that's been  done and look at this up here it just says iron Evo
lution yeah we're talking about that iron  in the block Crystal red is the color and this has a manual transmission a trem t-56 six-speed  15 computer controlled fuel injection but it is still a manual transmission truck beautiful burled  wood in the bed $140,000 takes it beautiful paint job but coming fast now lot 102.1 is a 62 Corvette  custom convertible last year for the C1 body style before the stingray came for 1963 this also has  an LS swap a 6.2 L LS3 with a 4 l70e four-speed automatic t
ransmission a replacement chassis  from Art Morrison and very little left of the 62 save the body the dash and some of the  [Music] Interior boy this is made to look great in a Resto man kind of way and to drive great  those big willwood disc brakes they've upgraded the suspension once again that's been added to  that art Morris and Chassis underneath boy the paint on this is just flawless I think on these  restomod Corvettes the presence of the automatic transmission does not hold them back uh
the  purists would prefer a four-speed in a Corvette restored to original but in aesto mod you want  a modern running and driving car with the looks of the car you remember and the automatic here  is no hindrance look at the price absolutely no hindrance $195,000 is the number on the Summit  Racing sold sticker as that beautiful custom vet rolls away into the growing Arizona night now  on stage laot 1093 is a 2023 Corvette Z6 hurts my eyes to see this roll up on stage right after  that 62 but lo
ok how far we've come from front engine to Mid Engine and this is an all but new  uh C8 Corvette 2023 just kind of uh one half of a model year old one owner the warranty transfers  two LZ trim and 70th Anniversary Corvette badging well 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds and you think about  what you're buying for you know in the United States this is a superar at a half a third a  quarter of the price you're paying for a super car that has much more exotic lineage and don't  confuse this with the base you c
an buy one for $60,000 Corvette because you can't this is the Z6  upgraded performance version introduced more than a year after the first c8s hit the order bank  and the showroom floor yeah this is the one you want and also mistaken one of the options you  can get on this for $5,000 you get a custom VIN [Music] number ladies gentlemen you know but the  cool thing when you talk about those $60,000 gen one you know of the mid engines the fact that you  could I mean most people bought it for 65 $7
,000 at a minimum they started adding things on but  the fact that you actually could bu potentially buy a relatively base car for less than 70  grand that was a mid-engine super car that's amazing I think as time goes by those  very base no option Corvettes the uh everything delete cars as our friend  Steve batti would say um I think they are going to find a certain level of  collectibility perhaps higher than and where they trade right now because how  many no option Corvettes have you ever [M
usic] seen this one goes for $140,000 don't show your bitter battle to us  show it to the to that guy he's bringing your contract all right on to 10 93.1 this is a car  that Tyler Hoover showed us earlier 2023 excuse me a 1973 Pontiac Firebird TransAm 4555 Superduty  probably the last of the high performance second generation Trans Ams 290 horsepower this one with  a three-speed uh automatic transmission white with blue trim as the Trans Ams originally were and  a whole lot of provenance and pap
erwork go with this one yeah has 36,000 original miles and here  we have the uh Canada invoice it shows that it's sold brand new for $468 and wait a minute those  are probably Canadian dollars so it's not US Dollars which back then I'm not sure what the  exact exchange rate was but traditionally it's just a little bit less I like the look of this one  white inside and out now at GM when you bought a GM car with a white interior you got white seat  white door panels a white headliner uh White kic
k panels but you got a black Dash center console  and carpet still that's what they call the white interior one uh uncommon option on this  one sits on the rear deck and that was this version of the Camaro and Firebirds  rear window defroster it was not a grid in the glass it was a fan to push warm air  up to that rear window and it worked pretty well and let's think about this the following  year they came out with the 1974 Pontiacs look pretty much like this one very similar not  the Mustang t
wo that changed everything well that pair agonized through the bidding  they got to $145,000 and they got the car now here comes lot 1094 a 1969 Ford Mustang  Boss 429 oh my gosh now these Mustangs were not built on the regular Ford assembly line they  were sent to a contractor called carcraft for the installation of King Kong the Magnesium  valve covered 429 in canid valve engine that Ford wanted to homologate for use in NASCAR but  instead of putting it in the Torino they put it in the Mustang
they had to narrow up the  suspension Towers to get the engine in here don't even try to change the rear spark plugs  it's darn near impossible and these engines are dry decked that means that the cylinder head  and the block have no one piece head gasket it's all a bunch of little O-rings and you got  to get them all just right but here we are at $375,000 and we're not done yet Mike home  reliable Carri is to take well the boss refers to buy Newton who was the head of Ford  at the time Larry s
henoa who was involved in the midyear Corvettes came over and this was his  idea let's have a boss 302 and a Boss 429 here's the original sales contract and financing sheet  the owner card is with it for warranty service all original 47,000 actual miles wow W that  was something looks like it might have gone to an internet fitter so the gentleman with  his fist in the air was say [Music] jestering and with that let's take a look at our  updated top five now that we have a new top seller from $22
,000 to 220 250 300 and  400 Ford Chevy Dodge superformance and Ford from first to fifth great variety  wow deep breath everyone plenty more to come here at Barrett Jackson Scottdale standby for [Music] more how do you describe a scene like  this with all the colors imaginable in Arizona sunset here at the bar Jackson  collector car auction Westworld of Scottdale absolutely beautiful and the room  remains packed here in the auction Hall viewing a 56 Chevy B air custom convertible well my good  f
riend the late Patrick pogrant with John Bradley restored this 56 his builds are the best of the  best and I think someone just got an incredible bargain on this 56 $125,000 to John stupi up  there in his box building another great car collection I don't know how many he's had but at  least two that I'm aware of and a great train set too Lot 10 96.1 is a 2024 GMC Hummer EV 3x pickup  I'll tell you what this is the hot ticket these days in the electric world people are talking  about oh this is c
ool that's cool this is the ultimate in cool you know when the Hummer name  went away we thought we were never going to see it come back because well it just gone beyond  its Evolution and then somebody came up with a bright idea of let's put some oh electric motors  in but not just any electric motors let's put a th000 horsepower worth of electric motors into  a massive Hummer style vehicle and then let's make it so that hummer can do 0 to 60 in less  than three seconds got do a little crab wal
king some style this is an amazing piece of Machinery  now in its previous iteration Hummer was its own brand uh first with AM General Building military  Humvees then Hummer as a GM brand now Hummer is a sub brand of GMC so you go to your local GMC  dealer to order one of these and as Rick points out they are electric only four-door body with  a pickup reminiscent of the late lamented Chevy Avalanche $15,000 congratulations [Music] sir Here Comes lat  1097 to 1957 Ford Thunderbird custom convert
ible more beautiful light blue metallic on this one  uh the ride height seems pretty standard wire wheels just glistening gorgeous big wide whites  looks very very stock until Cliff does that and opens the hood a little bit earlier you asked the  question do you prefer to keep it stock in the baby bird world or do you prefer to customize  it and I think you know the baby bird prices haven't been as strong as they have in the past  few years unless of course you got to name as M car but I think n
ow that we're seeing these  coyote engines going in the extra performance going in taking these cars and making them nice  rest of mods I think we're seeing greater value come into this world so to buy money I think  this is the right thing to do Resto mod it make it look cool and give it that Modern Performance  and frankly I mean you're looking at the prices you know I'm I don't know what the build price is  on this but it's definitely bringing more than a stock uh 57 probably would have built
and with  this base coat clear coat metallic paint it you can't disguise it as a restored to stock bird so  just call this a beautiful Resto two top Resto m you know it's interesting to think that  when this was on the showroom floors that they were rapidly getting ready to bring out  the 58 Thunderbird which you know came out to great a claim the concept of a four-door  Thunderbird that people with families could actually use but it was uh it was already  the end was near when this was on the
show FL rolling across the block next here 195  $660,000 wow we've seen 57 t- birds from 60,000 to well up into six figures here's  a car that's coming up a little bit later a 1970 Dodge Challenger RT 446 pack engine matching  numbers four-speed transmission and [Music] more back at Barett Jackson Scottdale where  moments ago this beautiful 57 Chevy B air custom convertible rolled across the lot in  tuxedo black gleaming Chrome and went to the moon $25,000 our number five sale of the day awesome
stuff the hits just keep on coming view there from the muscle Lounge up on the Block a 2023  Corvette Z6 has just cracked 200 thou well once again as we mentioned it's not you know it's a  great car it's the problem is trying to find one and because you can't find one you can't order  one you can't just chop around as a result well where do you do you come to Barrett Jackson  and they're up here on the Block and as soon as we get one number at 205 we get a second one  $25,000 tying for fifth h
ighest of the day and sixth of the overall auction moving on to lot 1099  a 69 Camaro Z28 RS well RS means the Rally Sport headlamps Hideway headlamps and upgraded interior  but this is a genuine 69 Z28 even includes the original uh smog pump air injection reactor uh  system to lessen emissions this car comes out of Ms classic cars a dealership in seon Mass  12vt posy rear end four-speed Z28 and there is a whole page of provenance including the  original sale date January 3rd 1969 warranty invoi
ces oil change door stickers you name  it this car's entire history is documented and included yeah they made about 20,000 Z28  back in 1969 and of those about 1,300 had the Rally Sport option so they went not just with the  performance but the looks as well does not once again this is the Z28 and as we mentioned you  know Z28 didn't actually mean anything it was just the you know the option number certified  by Jerry MCN Camaro expert and it sells for $145,000 now let's rejoin Tyler I'm with lo
t  111.1 a 2008 Mercedes clk63 Black Series and with the blueprint nin cam let's take a look  under the hood 6.2 L Mercedes V8 these came out a year earlier replacing the supercharged  5.4 and and they came to great acclaim this one 510 horsepower naturally aspirated the noise  on these it sounds like a German muscle car but this one about the most special car to get  this engine because it is a CLK Black Series you see those wide fenders they styled this to look  like the Formula 1 safety car o
f the period and about the most hot modern collectible with the  Mercedes world is a black series car they make made SLS CLK SLK several versions but I think  this is the prettiest the pillarless coupe CLK and everything was lightened the suspension  modified you can see the interior they got rid of the back seat and you see how fresh it  is that's because this one has less than 500 original miles on it I was talking to a few  Black Series experts here watching the sale they think this might be
the lowest one to ever  sell at a public auction so if you're surprised a little bit later when you see a CLK bringing  huge money well don't be this thing is incredibly special well as the kids used to say on the r  gang comedies devil stand behind me and don't push here's lot 1100 a 1970 Mercury cyclone GT  429 scj drag pack yeah this is a special one you got the drag pack you got a very upgraded engine  and the easiest spotting Que of the drag pack are these lines going to this oil cooler tha
t sits  in front of the radiator but it's a 429 drag pack car super carber jet very rare yeah it's  got the C on the VIN number so that means it is exactly what it's supposed to be born this way  they the restyling they call this the gunsight grill that came out in 1970 the reality was you  know even this performance package the restyling really didn't help the sales for this car but it's  pretty cool and not a lot of these things around 1 a Gentleman Just left the stage dressed in the  same yel
low as this car and I had a flashback to Dave wrestler the Corvette dealer that every  time he brought a car to the block he wore a sport coat the color of the car and tossed it  in for the new owner to enjoy drag pack 8,000 RPM Tac oil pressure gauge engine temperature  gauge and am meter all included in the dash and all Factory very very cool piece also from Ms  classic cars I remember Dave wrestler changing jackets the sport coats to match the car  that he was sending across the block and he
did it with much flare I must say $180,000  second acquisition for that gentleman who is in no pain at all I'm guessing right now he has  picked up some great cars we'll be [Music] back welcome back from the luxury boxes there's a  great look down onto the auction floor Auction Block to the right cars coming at you as they file  through and Acres of chairs occupied almost to the last by bids and fans Grand stands all around  thousands of people here to witness the Barett Jack we're at $120,000 b
id on a 2018 Dodge  Challenger SRT demon this one has never left Scottdale Arizona Tyler has 163 miles on it was  sold new here it's never been out of town well that's pretty astounding considering what it's  capable of I would have one to ripped it several times over 800 horsepower when these came out it  was just astounding like a 2C 0 to 60 they came with an extra crate to where you could assemble  it to drag configuration I believe that comes with a car so when you go to the property room  y
ou're have to bring a second vehicle to pick it up now of course this was long before Dodge  knew that the Challenger would reach the end of the line at the end of 2023 with all  of these last call versions so yep they were building these to go down the track  and go fast and to keep on building them and they were really in a niche that Ford and  Chevrolet weren't with these cars well they kind of leaned into the fact where they said  the Challenger can't take a turn everybody's buying Fords to
go around the track the Camaro  ZL1 they wanted to make it track focused you dodge is like well no we're going to do the  quarter mile we're going to have fun break the tires loose whip it around just Goof  Off with these things they're perfect for [Music] that SRT badge on the rear  spoiler for Street and race [Music] technology down comes the hammer at $122,000 we'll stay with the block  where our next lot is actually a twofer vehicle and a trailer vehicle 1932 Willis  custom sedan called low
standard followed by a 2019 custom tanker trailer well never have I  ever I mean uh look at this low slung Willis Rod I love the treatment of dropping the  headlights right down to the center of uh the axle that's a Don Spencer touch and this  this thing is just slammed that dark blue looks so tasteful on this car look at the narrow  wheels and tires up front wow I was walking by it earlier when it started up and my ears  perked up because I heard a small diesel and it is a small Nissan Diesel u
nder the hood and  you can see it's pulling a giant standard oil tank I think you should try a Cannonball Run in  this one run a fuel pump in a line and you can go coast to coast probably without having to  fill up remember the standard oil pumps that had the light up crown on top that idea is repli  replicated here in the uh knockoffs for the three section fuel tanker actually it doesn't hold  fuel in all those sections at the back here is a door that opens this is a a trunk of sorts  yeah they
styled this tank to look like the very early turn of the century horsedrawn fuel tanks  used for delivery when they wouldn't trust cars to deliver fuel back in the day was H drawn just  such a wild thing here that's stabo painted on the sides of the trailer stands for standard  aviation oil a branch of Standard Oil Company once the richest company in America and they  mounted 1937 oldmobile tail lights I believe up high on the cab so that you could actually  see it if it was too low and stoppin
g power well you want people to see says hunterfield on  the side I believe that's an Airfield bu in Cedar Rapids Iowa so this is designed not as a tanker to  deliver to gas stations but to deliver to [Music] airplanes well whoever buys this I guess  they could buy that 1930s beachcraft we have selling tomorrow as well this would  be a great matching set for a vintage airport the biders are digging it  we're at $180,000 the truck wears a 1932 Iowa tag and the padlock is  an exelor S oo yes that
Standard Oil Company padlock that comes with  this trick and there it goes at $192,000 how dare you call this  a novelty item that is serious do so [Music] cool okay now something a little more  normal here lot 1103 is a 2023 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat widebody jailbreak last call Edition now  earlier we told you the story about the yellow shipping protectors for the front splitter and how  nobody wanted to take them off cuz they look cool so what a dog say we'll make people take them off  we'll
make them pink instead of yellow you know what folks still left them on well this one's  still brand new in the rapper you can see that last called badge up here with it uh needing  its protected plastic peeled off but Bob was calling this car more normal it's not normal over  800 horsepower widebody and the last called and jailbreak means you could order it any way you  want any option they had available at that time any configuration but with this one they just  went all [Music] black fantasti
c that you can personalize these to taste now a lot of them are  kept new in the wrapper as this one was and find their way to the auction block but 87 horsepower  8-speed automatic and the color pitch [Music] black yeah I've seen some they try and  find hounds too they can it that way and go with the Retro interior this one  they didn't do that anything they could option to hit the black button that's what  they did even with the matte black [Music] wheels sold for $997,000 fun for the whole fa
mily moving on lot  113.1 as of 23 Dodge Challenger RT 392 Scat Pack last call swinger special edition now I remember  Sublime that was a color on the Challenger T in fact the one that Sam posie raced for Dodge was  Sublime color and I remember the Dodge swinger it was a Dodge Dart option package with striping  and a kind of trick interior and it was kind of a fun vibe and you put that together with a  Challenger in the last call Edition wow you get this right it is fantastic and you get the  wi
de body which you normally would see on the Hellcat or the demons on this not supercharged  Hemi engine so around 500 horsepower with these scat packs but then they do the Retro throwback  with the swinger it's fun to see it all bring back before the Challenger well it's now going away  Shaker inake spoilers Scat Pack lettering on the back of that spoiler all part of that swinger  Edition I love the satin forged wheels on this because they're going to be lightweight  they're going to be strong a
nd they look great now the only thing they didn't bring  back I suppose because it was Plymouth well he didn't do the Daytona either  they could have put a bit wing on it that might have been a little much Road  Runner probably licing it again was too hard but it's great that they brought back  everything they could including the swinger Sam posy went to Rhode Island School of  Design before becoming a famous racer and so he wanted to design The Livery of  the 70 Trans Am Challenger that he woul
d race and Dodge says go ahead except it has to be  painted subline and now that car is recognized around the world there's nothing like it  $85,000 takes it Simply Sublime Chicago Illinois now here comes a car from the Frank  Teague collection lot 1103 point2 is a 71 Dodge Hemi Challenger now we've had a number of te's  cars up here on The Auction Block today every one of them have been polished and prepared to  a very high standard not a spec of even dust anywhere so here's a Hemi Challenger f
rom  1971 number two of 7even sold by Mr Norm's Grand Spalding Dodge at the corner of grand  and Spalding Avenues in Chicago they were the Dodge semif Factory drag racing team and if  you wanted a hot rod Dodge you wanted to go buy it for Mr Norms wherever you [Music] lived well  that's likely why it was also optioned with the drag pack which you would have to get I would  imagine the 426 Hemi I can't imagine not doing it and the loud colors to intimidate that person  whoever you pulled up to at
the stop light red with the White Stripes fantastic this has the  Super Track Pack including the 410 ratio Dana rear differential rubber Endura covered bumpers  front and rear all the RT badging styled Steel Wheels no Alloys here and the gowing on the trunk  which the angle that it's at looks like it might create lift rather than down Force but gosh it  sure looks good [Music] boy these muscle cars from the Frank teags collection just keep coming  the next couple are also out of that [Music] co
llection 71 I believe final year for the  Hemi in this car and didn't sell as well as the 70 maybe a little lower compression  as things were transitioning in Detroit but still still Dodge was very much in  the muscle car business in 1971 as this shows well in 1971 was the end of eror for  the Hemi the first time around and we just saw the end of the Hemi here in 2023  so will there be a third coming of the Hemi a Hemi EV how can they get the air  to flow all trick in a battery I wonder $112,000
well Hammer's high but we're still  at it the Performance Engine Dodge has planned to replace the Hemi is an inline six that's  coming next year yes when I did the uh Dodge Ram experience they were talking about it being  a rebel Huracan no more TRX so going down cheaper actually with the ram pickups $ 117,000 takes  that Dodge Hemi Challenger to its new home and here as I mentioned another car out of the Frank  teags collection lot 1104 is a 1970 Plymouth Cuda Craig Jackson's a Cuda owner of c
ourse his he  owns Dan gurn's Cuda the one that actually raced in the TransAm series uh but here we are with the  Shaker and the rear wing shaker hood the Cuda a little more restrained body style than the Dodge  Challenger 2-in shorter wheelbase so a little less rear seat room love this eb5 color pistol grip  shifter inside for that fourspeed and uh you know that's something ergonomically that you want to  have I don't know if Plymouth was really thinking in that direction but look at that pisto
l grip  I mean that mean that means all business right [Music] there the key difference between this Cuda  and the last Challenger is the engine this one the 446 so one option below with the sixpack known as  a much more durable engine than the fragile Hemi they would sell these with a normal warranty  versus the Hemi was a pretty short warranty right only 100 miles on this car since its full  restoration three two barrel carburetors make up the six-pack four-speed traction lock rear end  option
al 15in Wheels matching numbers Drive Line all except the transmission which is a replacement  number 114 the help of the bitter assistant $83,000 brings down the hammer that gentleman as  a 7 Cuda put in his [Music] garage next up will be a car that we showed you earlier a 1970 Dodge  Challenger RT little longer a little wider looking than the Cuda perhaps a lot of that is the quad  headlights where the Cuda just has single ones and this is a 1970 the highest horsepower year  matching numbers w
hich means that the engine is the one that the car was born with as documented  by gayen govier 410 Dana rear end which means this thing's really going to scream for RPM out on the  highway vyl top of no shaker hood here or gowing on the [Music] back pistol grip shifter bucket  seats of course and uh a not Army looking green but to taste and I confess a love for blue  cars and I saw enough of this shade in the Army Reserves for six years that I don't  think I want to drive it every day but they
make them in all colors for all tastes  well I think it's interesting you know see so many done in Plum crazyer or some  wild color but of course there was these muted ones and somebody definitely loved  green when they hit this when they hit the options on this one the green vinyl top  green interior and it's one of 847 of these 446 pack Challengers numbers matching as well  so all the pedigree just without that [Music] Heming [Music] the Fine Art of being  a bitter [Music] assistant they shake
their head go away come back see if  they've reconsidered in that case no $882,000 takes the car we've got a break coming up and plenty more still to come as we  head to 7:00 in the evening local time three more hours to follow here at Barrett [Music] Jackson let's take a peek down into the  Maguire staging Lanes as night has fully Fallen here at Westworld of Scottdale still just mobs  of people out there in the glare of the lights the party rolls on three more hours to come  here in our contin
uing coverage the Barrett Jackson collector car auction here's a l 11:06 a  1969 Camaro custom well let's start with a color because you can't ignore it it is Dodge Viper Snak  skin green and other than the cow induction hood which has been added this is all original sheep  metal on this beautiful mild custom build the uh spoiler rear spoiler fared into the fenders and  the trunk lid pillet tail lights and all sharp piece well maybe original metal on the outside  but underneath massive changes I
mean look at those big huge tires that theyve put on the back  and of course that traditional suspension that you would have seen on a 1969 Camaro is long  gone everything's been redone in this right now we're bit at $145,000 I love this conac leather  interior he spoke console totally reworked Dash [Applause] well that was quick to 150,000  that's where it hammered away to that gentleman that didn't take long yep that one's hard to [Music] ignore lot  11061 is a 1970 chevel custom well like th
e Camaro that just left the block this also  comes from Ms classic car as a dealership in seon mass and this was also restored by  Rich mutter of Innovations Auto in forest all Missouri he did that Camaro he did this chel  and his idea on this build keep the original Factory appearance and add moderate custom  touches and other than those big huge wheels and tires with huge disc breaks and the big  block transplant looks like he did just that tuxedo black The White Stripes just done to  a very n
ice standard in fact you know when there's no this is not final Graphics here this  is painted on and clear coated over so it feels like one consistent paint all the way across  it's beautifully done well look at the number the bidder certainly prize triple black over  Kermit the Frog green as this chel is doing the big number well it's the perfect package  when you get right down to it I it's got that big huge engine under the hood PL performance  the black body that looks perfect from the outs
ide remember black will show every flaw and  of course it's a 1970 chevel the high Watermark the funny thing is you know they built more  than 600,000 chevel no one seems to care there's plenty of them to go around and modify  them and make them look nice the way you want them big number here 255 and  Counting not counting anymore 255,000 lot of backs slapping we worked hard  for it now every now and then we like to take a little walk down memory lane and a lot of the  cars that a lot of us love
d will be crossing the block tomorrow on Super Saturday here's  Tyler Hoover about a car that he once lusted after I'm celebrating a little bit of an  anniversary here at Barrett Jackson because 20 years ago after begging my dad for years to  come out from watching all the TV coverage we came here in person to the 2004 Scottdale auction  20 years ago the top seller a 1938 Lincoln zort that sold for a little over $400,000 but it was  also the first time I saw my ultimate dream car this a 300 SL g
o Wing in silver much like  this one and there was actually two of them I thought it was the most beautiful thing I  have ever seen and thought one day if I work really really hard I can buy one of those but  prices have exploded on these in the last few decades but my enthusiasm hasn't waned at all  I'm just going to have to work a lot harder to buy [Music] one a lot of us love that 300 SL  Tyler in fact right around that time I came to Barrett Jackson for the broadcast with my wife  and son an
d a friend of his and that friend's mother and she confided in me she' always wanted  to see a 300 SL In the Flesh I said well that'll be easy we have six of them here at Barrett  Jackson all right lot 1107 is 1967 Chevy C10 custom pickup well this one built on a roadster  shop chassis with a blueprint 383 stroker 350 V8 four-wheel disc brakes four link rear rack  and steering beautiful deep midnight blue with mocha interior boy 67 to 72 c10s these  are ruling the world right now in the custom r
ange $15,000 once again reached pretty quickly and  don't forget every lot that crosses the block as soon as the hammer Falls they add in the buyer  premium and taxes and so on and it goes right into the docket listing at barrett-jackson.com  so check that out keep track of the upcoming auctions including Palm Beach in April and the  newly announced Barrett Jackson let's call it Scottdale 2 in October never too early to start  planning to visit a Barrett Jackson auction trust me it is great valu
e for money here we are with  lot 1107 .1 69 Pontiac Firebird TransAm custom I love this build because it's a subtle custom I  mean in many ways when you look at it it looks like it's almost you know not wild like we see  a lot of these new LS engines and all the coyote engines in terms of what they what they could  have done no this has got some style underneath it looks very traditional that 400 cubic inch  V8 four-speed automatic transmission with the overdrive it's got fuel injection and on
the  outside boy I tell you it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor as a Trans Am  Edition no story that it is once again it is a custom but they've done a great job of recreating  that look so the firebird is represented here in the tail light panel uh with the lock cylinder  for the trunk opener and in the side marker clearance lights at the rear where earlier there  had been the arrowhead Pontiac logo there's the firebird 68 ,000 seems reason and now here's a car  that is coming u
p a little later on a 1967 Camaro RS SS Custom 500  horsepower plus very cool car don't miss it I could watch these pick es all night beautiful  overhead shot of Westworld of Scottdale Arizona for most of the Year an equestrian facility  in a concert venue in a sports arena but for one now two weekends a year it's the home of the  world's greatest collector car auctions Barrett Jackson there's a half mile of tents plus the  associated buildings 1.5 million square ft of Automotive dreams there's
what the last three  cars across the block data including a 58 Chevy Corvette custom at $200,000 ho we have lots of  those oh my goodness it is car nut Nirvana here in Scottdale we're at $80,000 on a 1969 Corvette  427 435 convertible well that was the biggest engine available in regular production option  Corvettes Cortez silver color shared with the Z28 Camaro these early C3 Corvettes with the  chrome bumpers are really coming into their own wouldn't surprise me to see this one end up  at six
[Music] figures you know it all depends upon what era you grew up in right I mean  if you were you know somebody who grew up in this the midyear Corvette well that was your  Peak I'm a makeo shark gu $882,000 nicely done sir6 transion we move on to 11091 69 Camaro  custom no for me the ultimate 69 Camaro was the one that was built for Car and Driver magazine  uh Pensky racing may have massaged it they called it the blue Maxi and it was a cover car and  it was done in Sonoco blue with Pensky red
and yellow pinstriping and the greatest thing  about it was it didn't have the 302 it had the going to be knew for 1970 LT1 350 in the Z28 and  boy that was a car I wonder where it went I tell you you paint it in Sonoco blue with those gold  Stripes you got me right off the bat you know when you were about to say there was one that was  built and I was thinking there was only one car I wanted from 1969 and that's Mark Donahue's  car that's it having said that what I love a pro touring a build li
ke this painted in sonoko  colors absolutely well I'll give you Bill aerin's phone number because he has the Donny hu car and  he Vint vintage races it regularly with historic TransAm this one is a beauty gleaming base coat  clear coat paint uh some larger mag wheels than the 15 in it would have worn hounds tooth interior  custom console [Music] Hammer $17,000 means it's time for another Soul sticker another dream  ride Finds Its new home as every car in the auction does because Barrett Jackson
this year in  Scottdale is all no Reserve no minimum bid that must be reached every car goes to the high bidder  now we asked company chairman Craig Jackson about some of his favorite cars we're going to see  tomorrow on Super Saturday and he immediately thought about the late Don Williams and his  collection of cars selling tomorrow here's Craig [Music] I am here at the Blackhawk Museum well  we're in the main Gallery the Don Williams Gallery here I am joined by Brian Murphy who is also the  cu
rator of the blackhaw museum to tell us a little bit about the 540k Mercedes this is a one-off  bodied by Mayfair of England the only one that was built uh you have the beautiful design the  Sleek look the sporty all the lubers on this car the setback radiator and this is uh considered  one of the most beautiful 54k is built this is a supercharged car producing 175 horsepower when  it's under full Boost these cars are works of art as Don called them rolling art this is a once-  in a-lifetime opp
ortunity to acquire a 540k Mercedes with oneoff coachwork in a roadster  configuration this is an opportunity [Music] I am really looking forward to that one of  my favorite all times cars the mercedesbenz 540k normally they were black that one in  red and I absolutely dig it $87,000 takes this we got oh 1110 that's the Plymouth emik  Cuda custom convertible followed Now by by a 65 Corvette 327 350 convertible so the upgraded  small block engine in this Stingray first year for four wheeel disc b
rakes or even any disc  brakes on the Corvette is this 1965 the base engine was 300 horsepower and it was painted  all Chevy orange you got the 350 hor version with the upgraded cam intake carburetor and you  got cast to Luna valve covers with it beautiful car do ented by Roy sinor a Barett Jackson's  Corvette expert one of only 4716 cars built with this engine in 65 and this sticker here is  pretty important if we can come up and take a look at the window right here this sticker  is the ncrs st
icker and what they'll do is they'll put those on cars to make it very clear  that it has met ncrs standards now the car card is done in little tiny bug type and it includes  such minutia that this car includes an original liid bbid Insurance brochure and a jacquin's  vodka writing pad that was found in the glove box Bob that's a little too much provenance  for me TMI indeed well but look at the number we're at apparently all that provenance however  you define it well it's adding up right [Musi
c] now be happier if we found the RO and left the P looking inside the inside of this looks as good  as the outside and of course remember in earlier years you had a little grab bar right there  for the passengers they were on their own now Glenn green named for the Watkins Glenn Grand  Prix circuit in Upstate New York and green as in dollars 180,000 of which went into buying  that beautiful car now to April hey Bob I'm in the staging Lanes right now this is where  all the cars come before they
make their way up to the block and check out this 2023 ZO6  it's really interesting how they cut out the hood right here just all the design details  very cool Hypersonic gray with the yellow stripes that go all the way to the back now  come alongside very cool Arrow kit throughout you got some intakes here but I wanted to show  you inside that yellow theme with the stripes continues all the stitching in these door  panels just look at the attention to detail even the seat belts right here got t
hat yellow  treatment the steering wheel you got that little stripe up there very driver Centric area and  of course the bolstering seats because this is a race car baby and I want you to check out  this exhaust cuz it is a really really cool design you got the four quad exhaust right in  the back but the real show right there take a look 67 horsepower 5.5 L flat plane crank V8  that revs to 8600 RPM I mean this sounds like an exotic European engine but it's made by Chevy  now it's this one only
has close to 20 miles on it it's pretty much brand new in a wrapper this  is a street legal race car and it's coming your way in just a few Bob looking forward to that  April thank you now on stage 2021 whoops away it goes Yenko stage two we move on to a mercedesbenz  clk63 AMG Black Series yeah this was a factory hot rod uh and a great one at that note that  the fenders have been flared front and rear uh rocker panel extensions added big forged wheels  the AMG styling apron an AMG engine under
hood 510 horsepower sspeed speed shift and this is a  two-seater these black SE uh series cars did not come with a rear seat so this is a factory hot  rod special limited production car from Mercedes yeah and this one has less than 500 miles on  the odometer since it was built in 2008 let's just peek in the back seat for just a moment cuz  I want to show you what Bob was talking about you know in a normal one a non AMG Edition you'd have  two seats back there or at least a a bench back there thi
s you've got two giant Scoops yeah you  can put anything you want back there just don't put people in them no seat belts no Comfort none  of that stuff license plate frame indicates this was new at Mercedes-Benz of downtown Los Angeles  and it looks brand new AMG Black Series something Mercedes had to come up with when customers  complained well all my neighbors have AMG Mercedes I want something more exclusive here you  go well guess what it's pretty exclusive in the price range right now got l
ess than 500 miles  on the odometer the Black Series we're over [Music] [Applause] $200,000 so at $225,000 I got the car I have to pay for it now you bet it okay we're going to take a  break everybody take a deep breath we are now in our 7eventh hour of nine here  on Friday at Barrett Jackson stay with us ah the staff of Life popcorn fresh hot oh man  only thing better is kettle corn we have that or caramel I don't know love that popcorn okay  here we are back on the Block at Barrett Jackson Sco
ttdale coming to the bottom of our 7th hour  shortly this is lot 1113 2013 Bentley Continental GTC convertible 567 horsepower mulliner Drive  diving spec and less than 177,000 Miles wow Beluga that's black that's Bentley for black you can  charge more for Beluga than you can for black why don't they just call it caviar black do we have  to actually use the name you know it gets confused with all those whale fans out there uh second  generation of this car came out in 2011 this is the 2013 so we'
re more modern than the original  but boy it looks spectacular they managed to carry this B body style for a long time it's got 177,000  original miles on it so it's beautifully done and well kept three-piece alloy wheels wind blocker  behind the front seats very luxurious touring convertible recently serviced at the Bentley  dealer in La Hoya California and quite a nice low mile example I like the diamond Stitch seat  something that Bentley and Audi repop poiz in the last few years up front the
re's something  interesting when you look at the grill you look at this and your first thought is oh it's just  a metal Grill it's not it's plastic actually it looks like steel measure know Chrome mesh it's  designed to be impact resistant for passengers if a passenger were to hit it it would break  instead of hurting Pardon Me The Pedestrian that might run into something in the front of the  car so it looks like it's metal but it's actually [Music] [Applause] [Music] plastic sold $100,000 to th
at gentleman goes down the ramp to Deone puts on  the Summit Racing sold sticker the hammer price now to the block and I believe Rick De  Bru this is one of the cars that you isolated as a future collectible it's a 2023 Cadillac  ct5v Blackwing absolutely I mean you know you we go back we look back to some of the Cadillacs  have crossed the block during the course of this auction and they were just luxury cars and they  were big boats you know somewhere along the line Cadillac realized we need t
o get back to Our  Roots they did it by racing in Lama they raced in endurance and they've slowly but surely been  building up their performance game now coming out with the black wing and the Blackwing as we  mentioned a little bit earlier in our broadcast actually corresponds to the small black birds  that were a part of the Cadillac crest for a long time now in the current version of the Cadillac  Crest you don't see any of those black birds but the Black Wing is the performance edition of th
e  modern Cadillac so this has a 6.2 L supercharged direct injection V8 and unlike most Cadillacs it  has a six-speed manual transmission sticker price on this was a little less than currently bid  $117,000 blaze orange metallic with jet black interior wow $35,000 you got the Ferrari shirt on  but I think you've got a really cool carard there now one of our features  here at bar Jackson scotella is what we call side by side we take two cars of  the same model but separated by decades to see how
they compare and contrast  here's Mike joy in a Porsche State of Mind Porsche has always been about performance  on the road and on the racetrack and the 356 was a very capable car but she wanted more so in  1955 they created the Speedster the envelope body was widened somewhat and the windshield  was markedly lowered better aerodynamics more performance this was what competitors jokingly  called the Porsche bathtub it had a 1500cc engine this one's been upgraded to, 1600 CC's and 80  horsepower
now another thing about Porsche is once they find a good idea they're not the least  bit hesitant to have history repeat [Music] itself here is Porsche's latest Speedster built for  the company's 70th anniversary in 2019 the headrest fairing Speedster humps are here so is  the laidback windshield GT3 front fascia and 500 horsepower engine not for better performance  on the racetrack but for exclusivity and the most valuable part on this 1,000m example is this  serial number plate between the se
ats only 1948 of these were built celebrating the year the company  was founded and any Porsche with that kind of pedigree being a one of a certain number is going  to sell for multiples of its original sticker price ah yes one of the most aspirational  brands in all of Automobilia Porsche now on stage is lot 14 1114 a 1970 Dodge  Charger RT 440 $997,000 bid 97,000 Soul timing is everything in life so we'll  move on stop me if you've heard this before it's a 69 Camaro SS 396 l78 well this this
is a little different because the 396 came with these big faux vents in the hood and where  I grew up in New England we call these ice cube trays because on a winter morning well that's  what would form in them after all but there's the 396 turbo jet in its most powerful form 375  horsepower made this a good straight line car but gosh that big block was a lot of weight  to put on the nose of an already front heavy car so you don't go Corner car in this one and  most of the 69 Camaros that we've
been seeing crossing the block today have been customs and  great custom but it's nice to see one that's as original as this one you know this is one  of only about 5,000 that were made with this engine combination in 1969 Rally wheels d80  spoiler package and note the tail light panel it comes in black only with the SS package yeah  not uncommon that we see the SS package and the RS package together but in this case we just have  the SS so when you swing to the front what you'll see is the clas
sic SS grill the little Peak  right here going back if this was an RS the Rally Sport with the SS combination it'd be  flattered with those Hideaway headlights SS standing for super sport was the z27 option but  they gave it a name instead of just using that three-digit nomenclature 100 uh 20,000 takes it  to its new home standby for more from Barrett [Music] Jackson bar Jackson when we say cars can fly  it's a euphemism when we say helicopters can fly it's a reality the vendor stalls in  the ex
ib uh exhibitors area are simply phenomenal yeah we got helicopters  yep we have mattresses yep we've got Garden statuary we've got art we've got you  name it it's out there few years ago we had mazums what else could you ask for tickles now on  stage lot 116 is a 2015 radical rxc 600R race car a radical is not just the description but that is  the brand name note the Formula 1 style styling uh the big front splitter the air exits you could be  forgiven if you thought there was a lot of Porsche
GT2 in the appearance of this but the engine is an  Ecoboost V6 again you have a lot of power you have a very lightweight machine very track capable yeah  they make different kinds of radicals they uh make a lot of open top radical that uh they do single  series racing all over the world this is the coupe version you might say uh I'm a little intrigued by  this because this has air conditioning I don't see any mounting for license plates or anything but  I'm not sure if this is a street legal or
not it looks awful low I'm kind of questioning but I'm  also wondering why would you put air conditioning in a pure race car so I'm not sure what the  ultimate purpose of this particular car is and I know that radical did build some street legal cars  I just don't think they did it in this Edition I agree in fact when I first laid eyes on it I  thought it was an insa lmp3 car a prototype pretty slick and $74,000 takes it to its new owner now we've talked about it before and here  it is a 1971 D
Tomaso panta custom the panta is Alejandra D Tomaso's third attempt at a series  production car of the Mangusta that preceded it was achingly beautiful and a horrible Handler  at high speeds lots of front-end lift this car was marketed in America and sold and serviced by  Lincoln Mercury dealers imagine that you could go to tuneup Masters and actually get your exotic  sports car worked on and I love the fact that this is the ultimate mix of America and European design  and style cuz once again
you've got that American 351 cubic inch engine the Cleveland engine there  but you also the fact that this was designed by a company called Gia in Italy and the person who  actually designed this was a guy named Tom Chara who is an American so even on the design side it's  a good blend of America and Italy can't say I care for the aftermarket fouse wheels on this one much  bigger than those originally designed but where you going to find damaso wheels these days this  also has an aftermarket exh
aust that's been added but just the idea that your Lincoln Mercury dealer  could service this is really pretty fantastic engine cover appears to be locked to keep prying  hands like Ricks and mine away Ah that's okay 351 Ford a fous steering wheel added and a few other  touches again because these cars were built in such low numbers uh but the originals are hard to  find yeah there were a lot of concerns about the Mangusta build quality over in Italy so Ford was  uh very cautious when they had t
hese built and took a big hand in trying to to make sure that  they were actually done properly it's pretty brutish I mean that's a big engine sitting right  behind your head before the Creature Comforts were priority and if you could look inside this  engine compartment it's amazingly simple there's an engine there transaction not much  more $180,000 so there was something to attract the folks there and April Rose is up next hey  Bob I'm with this 1969 Chevy C10 now it's been lowered 4 in in th
e front five in the back and  I love this bright two-tone color of the blue and white really pretty us mag wheels with some  black details on there and even the consigner went as far as letting you know everything  that has been upgraded on this and a really cool part you got to check this out the bed was  stained blue I don't think I've ever seen that detailing also the fuel filler this is a great  spot because it doesn't mess up any of the lines on the truck itself now this one's powered by  a
6.2 LS3 430 horsepower paired to a six-speed automatic transmission and to put all that power  to the ground it has a 12volt py track rear end now take a look inside because it has all the  goodies I love the black leather with the Plaid inserts digital gauges Vintage Air I mean these  square body trucks have been going up in value so this is going to be really really NE to watch I  agree thank you April back under the big top on the Block as a car we showed you earlier a 67  Camaro rsss custom
full roll cage in this one so it was definitely built to haul those big wide  tires are almost a foot across so something evil lurks within about 500 horsepower underneath that  hood six-speed manual transmission uh I love the build of this you know everybody loves the 1969  Camaros they come across the block beautifully done but I love the Simplicity of the original  1967 design like the ghost Stripes that they put on here and check out that interior boy it's  just done to a very nice degree I
love all the modern gauges and as Mike pointed out it's got  a nice roll cage in there as well Detroit Speed mini tubs and you see the vent windows here  that's how you tell it's a 67 because the 68 didn't have them they had Astro ventilation  on the 68s no vent windows I've known this car for about 25 years and $120,000 has caused a  celebration to erupt down in the bitter area why not wow uh Dave wise just spoke to this  Dodge Hemi powered superb matching numbers cars meaning it's the engine
it was born with  four-speed manual a 60 rear end dual Carter AFB four barrel carburetors been displayed at the  quail at Pebble Beach lots of invoices of its previous refresh wise validation and the factory  broadcast sheet showing how it was built look at that original tarp style battery they have  really gone the distance on this one to make it look just the way it was born yeah it's even  got the restored dual Carter AFB carburetors what this thing also has less than 65,000 M on the  odomete
r and that color Y2 yellow no creative names in the super be world for Mopar for this  particular year it was all about the super B logo on the side so the superb was their budget  hot rod but like Plymouth had the Road Runner check out the wheels on this one and the red  striped tires yep those are 15 by7 in steelies with the little dog dish base hub caps oury  coming from a special collection someone that we know built from ground up this car is special  everything special Shane needs to be mo
re special sir now we've seen a lot of cars  with Factory style Stripes that had been painted sanded and then cleared  over not so here with the superbe where you can feel the ridge between the paint  and the stripes and that's the way they left the the factory was just like that so  that's just very very authentic with that [Music] [Applause] treatment $162,000 somebody really wanted that  one why not we've got another break coming up there's that beautiful Willow  Green 57 t- bird take a break
and return back under a dark night sky in Scottdale Arizona Barrett Jackson collector car auction  has lit up Westworld of Scottdale as we will do tomorrow night as well on Super [Music]  Saturday intensity just keeps building don't miss a minute of it the History Channel n  FYI here's lot 111 9.1 a 2020 Ford Shelby Super Snake it's got Shelby's name and you know  what I love about this too is underneath down below all this they've got suspension they  call it uh I think they called it Pensky b
y Shelby or Shelby by Pensky something like  that so Pensky tuned the suspension front and rear so in addition to of course all of the  horsepower coming from out from underneath that hood they've got a great suspension they put  onto this as well to be able to go right left stop whatever you want to do forged wheels  there under 2,000 miles on this 2020 Brembo brakes Shelby performance track suspension  uh magnar ride damping on this this is the Bold Edition gloss black with semi gloss green  a
ccents 20-in wheels and a dual intake ramir Hood love the performance of modern Mustangs you  know the ability to take something like this and just ramp it up to another level there's no  shortage of aftermarket companies that are doing this type of thing supplying the parts for  this type of thing you know and and I love the fact that this weekend Ford is at the 24 Hours  of Daytona with their new Mustang GT3 right back in the thick of racing once again and once again  the only Pony car the onl
y American sporty car to continue on besides the Corvette which is another  league for CEO Jim Farley said last week at the preseason launch in Charlotte that they would have  Mustangs racing on six continents every weekend this year long and continuing to build V8 powered  affordable sports cars as long as they're allowed to $85,000 takes this one yeah they're racing a  GT3 and a GT4 version of the Mustang for is all in on racing now the next car up is one that April  showed us earlier a 2023 C
orvette Z6 well the Z06 the higher performance version of the Corvette  that began the C8 this has a 670 horsepower v8 Hypersonic gray with the yellow stripes as are  the Corvette factory race cars uh in impsa GT2 bucket seat interior and 3lz is the code for  the top-of-the-line trm package so everything you could ask for and the odometer reads 27 what  I love it big bold letters on the windshield it says factory warranty and you think about that I  mean you've got an exotic superar that still h
as its factory warranty it's absolutely wonderful  in this regard I love the high revving engine they put in here this flat plane crank you know  traditionally an American cars never had that type of thing you know that was reserved for  Ferraris Exotics you know with this generation of Corvette they've managed to overcome a  lot of the vibration issues now it could rev higher 155,000 takes that beautifully  turned out Corvette ZO6 to its new home now let's hear from Craig Jackson once  again ab
out a car we'll see tomorrow on Super [Music] Saturday we have a 2007 17 Ferrari  F12 tdf this is Lot number 1386 the name tdf stands for tour to front which was  a famous endurance race that Ferrari dominated in the 1950s and 60s powered by  the naturally aspirated 6.3 L V12 engine that produces 770 horsepower and 520 fo pound  of torque this car can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed  of 21 mph this is one of just 799 examples of an F12 tour to France produced th
is is  a very rare car take this amazing tour to France [Music] home bound to be one of the stars  of the show tomorrow and Super Saturday so plan to be with us on the History Channel and FYI  we're at $75,000 bid on this Ford Bronco from 1974 fuel injected 32 fitec injection C4  automatic power steering discs front drums rear 12,000 lb witch 75 grand all right this is  a 1960 Cadillac I smiled just saying the words El Dorado baritz Convertible well note that it  is not badged as a Cadillac it s
ays El Dorado on the fenders and baritz in the back the front  end pretty much the same as 1959 things changed a lot in the back the fins were just as high but  the tail lights were lowered to give it kind of a lower appearance and the Eldorado baritz two  door converted able seating for five uh a solid top Boot and luxury lots of stainless trim not  found on other Cadillacs and yes luxury abounds luxury and length I mean this is probably 225 in  from stem to stern it is a massive piece of iron
and machinery and once again with those huge fins  that were you know you go back to the fact 1959 they were massive and we always think oh that  was the peak year and then you look at 1960 and realize well they were only slightly subtle in  comparison they built just over a thousand of these convertibles for Cadillac barits back in  1960 and again on the back the badging says El Dorado it does not say Cadillac uh nor do I see  the Cadillac Crest uh in evidence here not well it is on the hubcaps
as it is on lesser Cadillacs  and I like how they have done basically what most people do in the with the grill up front you  know they've made this rear Valance in the back to make it look like the grill would be up  front you know there's extra money energy and effort to make that happen there's that Cadillac  crust that you see right there that's let's go back up to the front there you on the wheels  the Crest is also in the steering wheel hub in the center of the wheel but the word Cadillac
does not appear not even on the sill plates as you open the door you get a Cadillac Crest there  instead it's the El Dorado baritz don't call it a Cadillac 176,000 takes it I love it I just don't have the airplane hanger I need  to store it in not to mention the $176,000 once again here's Tyler well clearly  the modern Mopar is the 2023 last last calls are certainly seen as future Collectibles but  I would like to argue this should be one as well it's a 2022 GT500 which is only made in  three
short production years less than 15,000 produced compared to the Mopar the hellcats  almost 10 years and these 760 horsepower 5.2 L V8 Superior dual clutch transmission and this  one yes it does have the carbon fiber Track Pack so you see that carbon fiber wheel there and go  look up at the window sticker this one has fewer than 18 mil on it total price $112,000 over 100  grand for a Ford Mustang but the tech and all the options you can see why that carbon fiber Track  Pack continues into the ba
ck and every option clicked including the very rare $10,000 option to  have the stripes painted on rather than just be stickers the key difference here between this and  the Mopars obviously well Shelby will come back with the new Mustang after they finished with the  Dark Horse and it may be bigger and batter than this we can only hope thanks Tyler we're watching  lot 1122 Ford Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition from 2022 125 Grand in Britain blue metallic with  the $118,000 option of the carbon fib
er Track Pack MSRP $104,000 but you couldn't find one to  buy one unless you come here to Barett Jackson well 760 horsepower and what's important right now  too is it only has 12 miles on the odometer carbon fiber Wheels wow what a gorgeous piece yeah  it is that 128,000 takes it we've got another break coming up come on back coming to the end  of our seventh hour here in Scottdale [Music] [Music] welcome back to the glory that is Barrett  Jackson the collector car auction from Westworld of Scot
tdale it is the world's  greatest of its kind starting to see a few empty parking spaces out here in the west Sal uh  showcase but be assured The Best Is Yet To Come on Super Saturday tomorrow here's lot 1124  2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat widebody jailbreak last call Edition go mango or is it  Go mango go mango whatever you want to call it that's the name of this color obviously one  of the colors that came from the Glory Days of uh Dodge when they were building the charger  and the Challen
ger and this is a homage to that one a jailbreak widebody so once again this is  one you can order with all the options you want when they talk about widebody what they're  talking about are these fender flares that are mounted onto it we see the sticker price  right here base price was $66,000 out the door $93,000 remember that's because you could load  it up with options exactly the way you wanted to now unlike some of these but that have been  kept and put away in the wrapper this one does sh
ow uh a Virginia state inspection sticker on  the windshield so it has been owned and enjoyed at least for a little bit and I do mean a little  12 miles on the odometer that's it they probably that was the 11 miles were 12 miles probably  going down getting the sticker and coming back [Music] down comes the hammer at $112,000 for that  Hellcat widebody now if you want to sharpen your   4:57:33.199,1193:02:47.295 [Music] bidding skills and maybe win a great prize you  want to play fantasy bid bro
ught to you by Dodge and right now April is going to preview one of  the cars you'll be predicting the hammer price of that's right I'm with this 1990 not 90 1966  Mustang custom Fastback dressed up to look like a Shelby you got the Shelby front valance right  here up above the Shelby hood of course there's some call outs all the way down here on the side  saying that GT 350 down there and of course these nonfunctional scoops on the side now its power  comes from a new flat plane crank 5.2 L Voo
doo R engine paired with a tremi sixspeed manual inside  you have the leather bucket seats digital gauges modern stereo complete with a roll bar and this 66  Mustang is all finished off in a blue pearl with Shelby White Strip stpes and it looks great you  saw it on display if you were at SEMA this past year all right thanks April that Mustang  will cross the block tomorrow on Super Saturday so register to play now terms  and conditions apply you must be 18 or over to play visit promo barjon fant
asy  bid.com for official rules who knows you can walk away with the grand prize  a 2024 Dodge Hornet back to the sold in white here comes a 69 Chevy C10 custom  pickup yeah this one has an LS3 engine 430 horsepower coming out of that brand new V8 that  they built into this 12volt posit traction rear end you know they say the body was stripped  all down the way down to bare metal and then repainted and they appre appreciate that because  as we mentioned before there are so many of these where th
ey're simply replacing the body parts you  know there's a lot of time and effort that has to go into that and that's not what they did with  this one this is a beautiful build and I'm really glad I'm over here at the chassis cam instead of  standing center stage with my bitter pass in hand there's the LS3 the modern small block Chevrolet  engine automatic transmission look how brand new and clean everything is underneath wood bed  of course dual exhaust what's not to like oh my gosh this is just
gorgeous now this is a  GM connect and cruise engine it's a computer controlled modern V8 engine but it all comes as  a kit all you have to do is Bolt it in and apply power as they say connect it and cruise great  [Music] [Applause] program well I'll tell you what people out in the audience and the biders  Apparently like this you don't have to raise your hand they they're doing it for you they've  got past me they've lowered this they've lowered it 4 in in the front and 5 in in the back so it'
s  just got kind of a little stance where the front end looks just slightly higher than the back and  boy apparently people like it you can see 185,000 the current bid Dakota Digital even the bed wood  is stained blue similar to the exterior I love these Chevy two-tones this thing has just the  right drop just the right look just the right stance but the price wow $190,000 will we ever  become Blas about these numbers wow suddenly the audience is getting pretty rockus it's like an  episode of Th
e Price is Right or something at a Barett Jackson the price is always right okay  here's lot 11 25.1 a 2014 Dodge Viper GTS well Justin Bell came across the block earlier our  former colleague and the Lama class winner in one of these Dodge Viper gts's I think this is  when Dodge finally got it right with the Viper with the double bubble Coupe body style with the  rollup Windows add some comfort and convenience to all of that power well remember the very first  generation Viper was uh you know p
retty crude when you get right down Creature Comforts and  then slowly but show you they work the way up then they came out with the GTS which was a  coupe version had that little double bubble that you were talking about by the time this  one came along we're in the fifth generation of the Viper and while yeah it still had a  V10 engine under the hood 640 horsepower the reality was just about everything else had been  changed and from a creature Comfort perspective it was much much better now t
his engine was  upgraded in 2021 they changed the cylinder heads the cam shaft and the headers only 500  M since and less than 7,000 M total on this 2014 so they've taken a great car and  made it even more spectacular and once again you know you talk about that little  double bubble that we if you look at on the top of this is what we're talking  about where it has kind of this style where it goes like this on the other side  you know we always you know talk about the the gurnie bump or whatever
you want to call  it but it's great Style 195 $115,000 takes it away remember to look for all of the results of  each day's docket and the upcoming day lineup at barrett-jackson.com but that's only the  beginning of all the information you'll find there about the world's greatest collector  car auction barrett-jackson.com here's lot 1126 it's a 59 Corvette convertible a Kevin McKay  restoration and he is one of the world-renowned experts in doing these this one in Frost blue  of 1959 McKay has
found and restored quite a number of famous X racing Corvettes and also  applies his talents to the street versions as well just gorgeous full wheel covers wide  whites Frost blue with white Coes and blue interior gorgeous yeah all day long we've  been seeing custom Corvettes from the first generation those late 50s early 60s and some of  the mid-60s Roll across the block bringing six figures easily it's nice to see one of these  1959 Corvettes that has been redone and done to a really high stan
dard with that uh period  correct block that they've got in there the fuel injection course 1959 some subtle changes  you know they got rid of the Chrome Spears that went down the back so do you call them tus or do  you call them suspenders I guess it depends upon whether you want to insulted or kind of you  know add to it they lost the hood louvers as well but boy you look inside this thing it's  just beautiful from top to bottom inside and out there are certain builders that restore  cars to o
riginal and those names are Bank like Amos Minter with the Thunderbirds Kevin  McKay with these early Corvettes you know just having that kind of provenance that's money  in the bank first first it's money to Barrett Jackson $150,000 to be precise congratulations  to that gentleman love those four headlight Early Edition Corvettes we're working our  eighth of nine hours your workday is over ours continues but this is a labor of love  this is Barrett Jackson now on the Block car that Tyler showed
us earlier 2022 Ford Shelby  GT500 big splitter in the front optional carbon fiber Wheels a first application on a series  production car of carbon fiber Wheels we're going to see more of those as we go forward  uh they weren't cheap they were part of the carbon fiber track pack at $118,500 well on  the windshield it says 18 miles but I just checked the odometer technically it's 19 .9 you  know they had to drive around the grounds here just a little bit you know when Carol Shelby was  first sta
rting Shelby American and building cars building cobras I don't even think he could  have imagined here we are all those decades later with cars coming out of his company even  after he's gone bringing the kind of attention and the kind of money $115,000 to be precise  for that Shelby GT500 here's another car coming up lot 1130 1970 doson 240Z sold here  at the United States retained by the same owner its entire life until recently check it out welcome back to Barett Jackson  Scottdale moments a
go this wild 1927 7 Ford Custom lakester cross the block  where do you start talking about this a 540 cubic inch Chevy engine with a blower  six Stromberg carburetors on and on and on $85,000 at the hammer and we move on now to  a 68 Camaro Z28 RS well Jerry mcnish the uh in-house Chevrolet expert was up here talking  about what a great car this is built in the United States but then exported to Canada  so they have all of the original records for it and the reason for that is General Motors  pu
rged all of their early production records at one point it just became too expensive  to keep records on all those cars and they weren't selling history they were selling  brand new cars the only exceptions GM of Canada and Pontiac motor division preserved  their records and thank you for doing that so note the stripes here if the stripe  ends at the spoiler that's Factory if there's stripe down on the trunk lid  below the spoiler it means the spoiler was painted separately and added after  the
car I got it stripes on the assembly line [Music] it another Mark Young car  out of the Pacific Northwest certified by Jerry mcnish sold in Montreal in the  fall of 1967 got a nice rebuild they've taken an 030 over you know just  slightly cleaned up the cylinder sleeves $80,000 takes it to  an internet bidder it would appear there's the soul sticker to prove it so we'll roll on to item 11 28.1 a 69 Camaro  Z28 good bit of controversy over what color grills should be in your Camaro and looking at
nastyz28.com and other sources you got a silver grill unless your car was one of a couple of  certain colors would come with a black grill but a lot of them have been replaced with black over  the years well and the other thing is just because there was a plan at the factory doesn't mean the  plan was always followed more than a few times we've seen pictures of cars that rolled off the  factory floor and you're like well wait a minute that's not the way it was supposed to happen  so yes there
certain colors were supposed to have it is it possible a random nonblack Grill was  put into a random car that shouldn't have had it absolutely I mean earlier today we saw a mistake  car go across the block right one that had a color that was not supposed to be sold with a specific  interior so all kinds of crazy things can happen but this has its original 302 cubic in DZ engine  rated at 290 horsepower actually put out more and this had the M20 wide ratio fourspeed transmission  full console ma
tching numbers cars meaning it the number stamped on the engine matches the serial  number and away it [Music] goes $117,000 is the number at the hammer one of those gentlemen has a  new car A new old car a great car we'll be [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]  [Music] back, congratulations [Music] oh this is so much  fun welcome back to Barrett Jackson under the Big Top in Scottdale this is lot 11291 197 Maan 428 Super Cobra Jet drag pack and  this one has the three s's the shaker hood the s
poilers and the slats now a particular interest  is the rear spoiler on this car because the way it is mounted to the deck here uh look at how  it's angled this way it looks to me like it might create lift instead of down Force so  you kind of have to rechange the angle on those brackets get that thing so it's putting  that rear end back down to the ground where it belongs well $80,000 takes it that  didn't take long oral thatal and now we'll check out a car we previewed for  you a little bit ea
rlier a 1970 datson 240Z ah the hood comes up and we'll see the  beautiful straight six with the Su licensed to Hitachi carbs uh my son Scott's looking over  this he has a 72 and it's in that 112 yellow lime color and you can hear a whole lot more about it  and our other cars on Scots and my new uh YouTube Channel and it's called joy riding uh that's  two words we talk about cars and about what two enthusiasts born 50 years apart I think are  similar and different and the doson 240Z is one of ou
r favorites well what's special about this one  is it's a Survivor I mean any Z2 240Z is special on its own but this one has just 155,000 mil if  you start looking closely like when that hood was open yeah the engine compartment is a little bit  dirty you start looking at some of the bright work but to be honest with you it doesn't look bad all  things considered Scott just pointed out to me I hadn't noticed this is a series one uh note the  air exits here in the hatchback only the series 1 had
those they had to be relocated over here  because they were catching exhaust fumes the uh de hub caps here on the 14-in steel wheels are pretty  rare So a series 1 Z and U I was looking at that cam cover to see if in fact and I can't get the  hood open sorry it had the 2400 CC's that would make that cover worth about 0800 instead of $40  should you put it on YouTube and I'm styed here sorry there it and there yeah I should let Scott  do it there it is Nissan 0c on the later covers 2400 of those
that covers a good 800 bucks  on YouTube and this is a very legitimate very nicely done series one with just 50 15,000 mil on  the clock yeah this hasn't even been registered to be on the road since 1982 I saw that's an  incredible bargain right there $43,000 you bet it is I really like those zards we'll move on to lot 113.1 1970 K5 Chevy  Blazer custom well once again c10s or K5 Blazers either way this is exactly what everybody seems  to be wanting this year this body style goes from 1967 to 19
72 And as we've talked about you know  the Bronco was the first SUV if you want to call it to come on the market but when the player  hit using the truck chassis it just rung all the right bells and this one it's custom I  mean it's got that 6.2 L LS3 engine you know it's uh got the big transfer case underneath 31in  Goodyear Wrangler dur track tires 2 and a half in lift the interior is upgraded as well look  at that not hounds tooth but black and white plaid upholstery four-wheel drive with wit
h a  low range the removable not easy but it can be removed fiberglass roof and a little bit  of imitation wood grain down there on the tailgate you know I mentioned how expensive  it is getting to find the donor cars these days you know what also is expensive to find  these seats in here if you can find original seats those are getting a couple thousand a piece  so it's not just the bodies themselves some of the interior parts that you use to restore  these are also commanding big money these [
Music] days but as I said I mean the reproduction Parts  you can get almost an entire body for $155,000 $122,000 takes this one congratulations to  the new owner and we're going to revisit with Tyler lady wants to say hello here she  comes that's the coolest part of this 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith with the spirit of ecstasy  you can play peek-a-boo with people in traffic with a switch inside but these are absolutely  incredible opulent Vehicles twin turbo V12 with over 600 horsepower now this one's
been slightly  modified it was all black originally they just wrapped it in satin white which I think looks  fantastic sort of gives it a classic throwback style aftermarket wheels as well but then you  go inside and here's the other party trick of The Wraith this one was optioned with the  Starlight headliner so in the staging Lanes we have the 10 above us I can't see the stars  but inside the Rolls-Royce I certainly can and this one's been driven and enjoyed it has 64,000  M on it so Props to
the previous owner we'll see what it brings when it crosses the block and that  will be interesting going to need a little fluff and buff though before it gets there looked  a little Dusty on the hood uh pardon me the Bonnet here's lot 1131 1971 Chevy C10 custom  well it's been the parade of c10s today and there's something about this body style that it  just seems to be ringing with everybody and it part of it it's a nice clean body style you  know compared to some of the earlier things that y
ou would have seen coming across but also  even in terms of what's happened later so the whether it's the the body style itself or the  way they've been customized they're doing them right $107,000 for that K10 custom and it rolls  away nice color combination look that green over white so here's 11311 your eyes do not deceive  you it's a 72 GMC K10 custom pickup well this one also a 1500 but with Sierra Grande badging  so the deluxe uh interior in this one there's the formerly Corvette engine an
LS 5.3 V8  four-speed automatic transfer case six lug axles and I like what they've done here they  have put in LS 5.3 that's not an original GM badge but it replicates the one that this truck  would have been born with gold over white I love these gm2 tones and this one boy just done  to a gorgeous standard plaid interior in brown and gold bedliner this is look at those  big alloy wheels this is just a really pretty all but brand new truck I think you're going  to have to say this is better th
an brand new and when you look at the Modern engine under  the hood what they've done and when you were talking about those Sig six lug Wheels look  at this this is what we're talking about you know the old joke is you don't want to get you  know hit a car that has more lug nuts than you you look at them right there it's kind of got  a beadlock style wheel but a nice custom look $115,000 gets it I was watching that mature  lady whenever the bid assistant asked if you wanted to raise a bit she sh
rug and smile and  did it but she lost out to an internet bidder as you saw we've got another break coming  up we are at the bottom of our eighth hour long way to go still and plenty of Dream  Rides still to find new homes stay with us cup presented by castol is back last Saturday  nearly 50 Vehicles paraded Across The Auction Block to showcase the talent and craftsmanship  of custom car and truck builders from across the country judges have narrowed this  amazing collection of vehicles down to
five finalists from which the Barrett Jackson  Cup winner will be chosen during our live Super Saturday coverage tomorrow here on FYI and  here are the five finalists first up a 1968 Ford Mustang nicknamed rampant we also have  a 1960 Buick Invicta custom a 1967 Chevy C10 custom a 1927 Ford Roadster and finally a 1959  Chevy Impala custom good luck to all of the finalists welcome back to the Barett Jackson  block here's what the last three cars across the block did and note on the left 84  Chevy
K10 custom pickup truck went for $177,000 On the Block right now another pick  them up truck the 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc well TRX is the performance letters that are important  Havoc is really more of an appearance package with a Havoc package you got this yellow color uh  and you know much like the I think they have called it the ignite package the year before  which was mostly orange so this was really an appearance package but it was a lot of fun  is it meant to wreak havoc or overcome it we
ll the new owner can [Music] decide he's paying  $105,000 for that opportunity congratulations to him do like that color here's lot 11331  a 63 Corvette custom convertible with the contrasting Stinger on the hood you'd expect a  big block underneath but instead we have an LS3 crate engine with 450 horsepower and a four-speed  automatic behind it this has a much more modern uh suspension independent suspension than it  was born with here in red over red resale red well you think about it if you h
ad that big  block under the hood you'd only have about 435 horsepower with this H slightly smaller  but you're pumping out more horsepower you're pumping up you 450 so you're you're gaining  a little bit in the authentic looking side pipes these are the actual exhaust pipes this  is actually a heat shield uh with the slots in it to dissipate heat from that exhaust so you  don't burn your shins and ankles getting in and out yeah I think the option back then would cost  you a whopping $130 $131 s
omething like that for the side pipes but it was a great appearance  package it was a lot of fun now I'm a little confused because this is said to be a 196 63  but the body is a 67 with the rectangular backup light uh with the four gills in the front  fenders and the Stinger Hood it presents as a 67 titled as a 63 and that's exactly what he's  talking about as part of the custom package the consigner is making it clear I'm using some  1967 parts to add to a 63 to change things around headrest ad
d it as well  they were an option in 67 but they weren't standard on any midyear or sting Corvette $130,000 at the [Music] hammer now  we'll go out to April Rose I am falling in love 1970 Boss 302 of course you got the stripes  coming up across the fenders and down the front they actually have this reflective Coating in  it which you can see really well at night time from far away they just stick out and gleam they  look really really cool on the road now this boss is the love of Mustangs enthus
iasts cuz it was  built to handle great on the track and that's why it has the lighter 302 V8 which is matching  numbers with a four-speed manual now take a look inside okay this car is super rare with that  Ginger color interior and wood accents all ground now of course it's got the sweet shaker hood chin  spoiler rear louvers or you could call them slats it's rolling on Magnum 500 Wheels finished in  competition yellow and comes with the original build sheet and of course full Deluxe Marty rep
ort  so you know exactly what you're getting Bob well said April thank you temperature dropping out  there so stay warm here's lot 11 33.2 a 2023 Cadillac ct5v Blackwing well this is Cadillac's  answer to the bmwm5 right here this one with a whole lot of added carbon fiber trim to it  and just tremendous performance capability 6.2 L Supercharged V8 10-speed automatic 3,000 mil  and 95 uh $997,000 apologies yeah we knew we had it Soul sticker goes on they sign the paper  and yes they do have it a
way goes the Black Wing Here Comes yet another pickup truck a 67  K10 custom yeah really just depends whether you want a c or a k you know want a two wheel drive  you wanted four-wheel drive in this case it's four-wheel drive with a new crate 327 cubic in  engine under the hood made it up to a four-speed manual transmission got posit traction dual  exhaust they managed to put in some Factory air conditioning power disc brakes they've really  done it up right to make it a nice solid driver undern
eath the 4-in lift kit Rancho shock 17in  race Line Wheels with bead locks uh keep those wheels from spinning on the rims and 35 in  TI tires uh this is a factory blue the Chevy sport truck emblem there Factory blue and white  another gorgeous two-tone that's funny for all the 67 through 72 pickup trucks today we haven't  seen any early 1960 pickup trucks earlier in the day we did see some 1950s era pickup trucks but  boy these c10s just rule the world I like that blue plaid of holstery to go al
ong with the  two-tone theme what a gorgeous truck [Music] and it's interesting cuz they're pointing  out they've got some of the originality they got the original protecto plate  they got the SPID sheet so they're talking about what they originally  came with even though they've modified it so I kind of love the fact that  they're still touching their [Music] history 97,000 takes it thought it  might tip to six figure territory but it did not still big number for a really nice truck now worth t
alking lot 11 34.1 is a 66  Cadillac DeVille custom convertible wow what a parade float a 2-year build with a modern fuel  injected 6 l lsv8 and a four-speed automatic power brakes new 20in polished isotope custom wheels  my goodness those are huge but you know what with the Cadillac Crest there in the center of  the wheel wears it very very well there you go chance to look at that engine under the hood  and I like what they've done with that where they put the Cadillac Crest on the LS engine th
ey  put the Cadillac valve covers on very nicely done all in terms of that the styling this is the last  year for these vertical headlights in the 1966 uh 1967 they would go to just a slight angle kind  of caned just slightly moving forward a little bit we're now all familiar with keys on the  steering column for steering column locks but there the ignition switch is right in the dash  just alongside the radio before 1968 when the feds mandated steering column ignition interlocks  as an anti- th
eft device take a look at the crest here on the back of the Cadillac this is the  old style and you can see once again the the the the mogs is that what they're called merlet  Merl that's exactly right the little birds and that's where they get the name for the black  bird but if you look at a modern Crest none of that exists now it's just the color bars  it's interesting to look at how the Cadillac Crest has evolved over time the Cadillac Crest  was created by Anan de lamoth de Cadillac who cam
e to the United States from France and founded  the city of Detroit in a trick that would never work now he came to America on the lamb he was  wanted by French author he was a criminal but by the time the boat docked he had reinvented  himself as a French nobleman with a coat of arms the whole nine yards and he founded the city  of Detroit and he's got a car company named for him $61,000 takes the [Music] Cadillac great  story Mike and there's a lesson in there for us somewhere you know at the
builtmore Estate in  Asheville North Carolina which you can come and tour it's a beautiful it's a castle in Asheville  and part of the Vanderbilt family and going up to the third floor there are framed pictures  of all these family Coats of Arms and I go hey wait a minute that's Cadillac I wish I'd taken  a picture because it was the Cadillac Crest on a wood cut done in the 1850s and printed just very  very cool way predates cars what the heck very cool you saw the barrett-jackson.com logo trust
me go there enjoy lot 1135 is the 1970 shabel SS 396 well they made more than 600,000 chevel  in 1970 about half of them were twoo coups so there's no shortage of these around  and this one is so said to be an SS 396 unlike so many of the Customs that we're  seeing rolling across the block all day long this is another car from the Brian  Frank collection 97,000 in counting bucket seat console automatic 425 horsepower from  this 396 and a 373 12 volt PS traction rear end cranberry is the factor
y color  here cow induction hood rally wheel [Music] goes to 98,000 a team effort notice the  lady sitting there she's got her catalog she's making notes she knows what she came here for  and she did her research and got it now here's a car coming up in a bit a 1969 Shelby GT 350  interesting paint combination 351 Windsor and with a rebuilt four bout carburetor check  it [Music] out welcome back under the big tents that make up a part of the exhibition and  storage area for the world's greatest
collector car auction Aron Jackson Scottsdale coming to  the end of our latest program we have another hour still to come here on FYI right now the  hammer drops on this belir custom convertible $85,000 Bob I got to tell you up close  that is an amazing car absolutely beautiful yeah if I could get up close to it I  could see that but that's okay okay here comes a Ford custom Roadster from 1937 well our  good friend Steve manat would be a little annoyed but uh under the hood of this 1937 Ford  Cu
stom Roadster is a Corvette LS1 engine with a water cooled supercharger modified heads cranking  out 395 horsepower it's all made to a six-speed transmission got to love this particular body  style and I love the fact that they've got the rumble seat in the back right here I mean you  know Rumble seats the was there was a lot of Rumble involved they weren't exactly particularly  comfortable and most of the time back in the old days especially you would exhaust coming up here  and kind of gagging
you as you went along but you had two steps so it's reminiscent to the they  way way they would have been done back in the original day well let's see how it looks on our  chassis cam is it as pristine underneath as it is above and the answer is yes little bluing on the  exhaust pipes there to show that this thing has been driven and run and at least broken in  but what a beautiful build and just to touch you a little Whimsy here look at this on on  the dashboard when you come inside no glove c
ompartment but they've called it old blue  b and I love how they've got that picture of it look like a car that'd be hanging out  you know derel in a yard somewhere well this baby is any but and $55,000 sends it to its  new home now let's go to Tyler well here is a beautiful Gulf Stream Aqua 1969 Ford Mustang  Machan with the legendary 428 Cobra Jet and if you're wondering what's the difference between a  428 Cobra Jet and say a Boss 429 well it's a lot it's a whole different family of engines t
he 429  was a homologation racing special the 428 more of a normal civilian use still a potent engine but  the horsepower difference about 40 horsepower thanks to trick heads with the boss 9 the 428  though still very potent 335 horsepower you see that beautiful color The Mach One striping  going all the way down the side and this one's been given a beautiful rotisserie restoration  now come back to the window it actually has a copy of the original window sticker here  with almost $1,000 in opti
ons that 4283 $57 automatic and traction lock differential  another big option bringing it up to a little over $4,000 when new it's safe to say we're going  to see a lot more than that when it crosses the block love hearing those numbers lot 11 37.1  is a 57 Corvette custom convertible well it's a Resto mod it's got a Corvette engine swap some  big quad exhaust pipes sticking out the back I'm still trying to figure out Rick Wyatt's wearing  those Cobra wine glass alloy wheels with Center locks i
t's a custom you can do whatever you  want with a custom somebody happened to like those and that was the build for example  this black this black back in 1957 was the most popular color Onyx Black was the official  name not sure if this is Onyx Black but they've decided to make it so it's just as popular  now as it was then gent it's 15 $1,000 at the hammer and with that we'll move on to another  rolls at 24 Rolls-Royce R they say there's something for everybody at Barrett Jackson I am  perplex
ed by this car I think the stainless steel Rolls-Royce Grill and mascot is Iconic and here  it's been blacked out Rolls-Royce paintwork the gloss the depth of the paint paint is superb and  here it's been done in a pearl white matte finish you know what oxymoron means it's two things that  just don't go together and I'm sorry but I don't get this so what you're saying is the person who  owned a first generation wraith back in 1938 39 probably wouldn't approve of the way that this has  been done
pass the gray Pon it's a purist but you know this is the modern generation of Rolls-Royce  and you know for so long they were just big and boxy and clunky and you know everybody else  seemed to be moving forward and rollsroyce was stuck yeah they had their traditional buyers  but at the same time they didn't have any style and now they've made it a little bit sleeker and  more powerful 624 horsepower these big forg Auto Wheels have wheel centers that are weighted so  they always read right side
up look at the size of these wheels this thing looks like a pratton  Whitney turbo fan jet engine all I can say is good grief by the way they're calling this color  look familiar got a piano piano block for the piano keys so you think about it  it's got a little piano theme going here well spotted Rick well I'm glad they  did that so no belugas were harmed in the making of this paint job remember the phrase  Mike it's done to a taste may not be everybody these days $95,000 takes it you know what
they say Bob I'll bring the wine you cut the cheese I've never said that but okay okay we're  having big fun now stay with us through our last hour coming up shortly here's lot 1138 of 66 e  type series one Roadster hold that thought we'll see you on the other side what a Friday it's been  here at Barrett Jackson but we are not done just yet plenty more electrifying vehicles are still  headed your way on Friday night here at Barrett Jackson welcome to Barrett Jackson Scottdale  across the worl
d famous Barrett Jackson auction block we're seeing some of the finest cars through  Automotive History one at a time delighting the fans and each one finding a new home because  Barrett Jackson this year at Scottdale is totally no Reserve at the hammer the high bid gets the  vehicle and what vehicles we have seen I'm Bob Vara working with Mike Joy Rick De Bru Tyler  Hoover and April Rose and this is a Jaguar e type series 1 Roadster from 1966 series 1 with the  covered headlights and the toggle
switch d cash see all these toggle switches the feds decided  they were dangerous and in 1968 you couldn't have these you had to go to rocker switches I think the  tacos were much more fun now think about this just a few years earlier you know what the Jaguars  looked like they were completely different I mean yeah in racing they had the D type was which  was so spectacular but when this comes out in 1961 it just changes everything from an aerodynamic  perspective and from a beauty perspective
love the competition Wheels these are rud style wheels  uh they have a big threee knockoff for quick change at the racetrack sharp car $83,000  sharp and deed black on black on black so cool okay what's next lot 11 38.1 a 99 Ferrari  f355 GTS the minut engine V8 Ferrari uh and one of the most beautiful traditionally styled  cars to come out of Moda this came in three body styles the GTB Berlinetta the spider  convertible I think this is the one you want the GTS with the removable liftoff Target
style Center roof panel usually these were in a black Pebble grain but you could order them in  body color so that the car looked like a coup the V8 engine sits there transaxle beautiful  beautiful car mainly suited for drivers under 6 ft tall however this is the car that replaced  the 348 they had a run from like 1995 to 1999 moderately successful they built about 11,000  of them of course uh you know it's a different era in terms of Ferrari they were trying  to move out of that earlier handbu
ilt slow process into a more manufactured side this  has the three 55 challenge grill instead of a flat panel for better Cooling and the F1  indicates it has the semi-automatic paddle shift transmission first appearance of such  now all Ferraris have them and it sells at $100,000 that is value now we go back to  April hey Bob here's a car that's going to sell tomorrow now this is where it all started  for Corvette 1953 first year for the Corvette and you might be looking at these headlights  won
dering what these greates are now back in the day when you were on the racetrack they  weren't all paved so rocks would come up fly in here and crack these headlights now they  have grates so you don't have that happening anymore you got stainless steel gleaming along  the side and that beautiful Corvette scrip all the way down this fiberglass body and of course  the 50s were all about the jet age so you have these shaped just like that rocket exhaust  coming out the back and they even put glass
over here to complete the aerodynamics just a  really really cool card now this is number 87 of only 300 that were built and they were  all Polo white because Chevy was new with making these fiberglass bodies and white  paint hides flaws the best now it's got a 235 150 horse straight 6 two-speed automatic  it's won so many Top Flight awards from ncrs and man this is one piece of American History I  feel like there should be velvet ropes all the way around back up don't touch this is American  h
istory right here Bob that it is including the story that movie star John Wayne bought one of  those Corvettes right off the floor at the auto show here is a 69 Chevrolet marrow Z28  RS here's Jerry MCN and some of you may know Roger unfortunately was killed in an  automobile accident with Paul Walker the movie star died in a horrific accident  this car Roger brought me out there to certify it and verify that it was a numbers  matching car this is a real Z28 original engine trans and rear it's a
n original  born with Valley sport it's Huger Orange it's one of the best of the best so let's  get this to good home in memory of Roger Rus Jerry mcnish Camaro expert and again you  see the stamps and lettering on the firewall that was done by assembly line workers because  at the shift change you know the workers coming in wanted to know what work had been completed  and that's why those stamps are there 302 cubic inch there's the original smog equipment just  the way this was born with the Ha
lo vinyl top kind of rare on Z28 common on Camaros though  now the consigner is saying that this is the unrestored interior the interior that's in  this car right now has not been restored in 55 years to be honest with you it looks almost  new I'm not sure how they managed to pull that off but if this is indeed the original interior  it looks absolutely wonderful Camaros were built in Norwood Ohio and Van California and each had  their own little different idiosyncrasies ladies gent but what a b
eautiful car in Chevy's  signature color for that year hugger orange the backup lights uh were optional and the  spoiler was painted on the assembly line on the car because you see the paint does not  extend to the part of the trunk Li just below the spoiler [Music] one bitter assistant working two clients one client drops out  the other client gets the car $122,000 nice now here comes lot 11391 a 1969 Buick  Grand Sport 400 Steve Davis talking about Brian Frank who restored this part of his thr
ee  generation family restoration business uh this is also a stage one 400 cubic in four barrel  matching numbers drivetrain frame off rotisserie restoration only three grand Sports were special  ordered in fire glow orange with the pearl white interior yeah they point out this wasn't  available earlier in the year so what happened was this was because a late ad  not very many of these were made cuz you know it was not common for factories to  change things during the course of the year maybe a
paint wasn't available it was  going to be available the next year so for whatever reason this particular color  was not available through most of the year now when this thing was built suddenly  it was and three people said yes I'll take it the GS stands for Grand Sport Chevy used  Grand Sport on their stingrays the race cars in 1963 but not in production cars so the name  was available for Buick they used it and here it goes 65,000 sends it to that gentleman I'd  say that's a good buy up next
is a car April Rose showed us earlier 1974 Mustang Boss 302 well  this is the car that won the Trans Am Championship that year as raced by Parnelli Jones and George  Fulmer the race cars did not have the shaker hood they did have the spoilers and the slats  however 302 with the tunnel port engine which means you could stick your fist down through  the intake ports and this car had a lot more horsepower on the racetrack than the competing  Z28 Camaros AMC javelins Dodge Challengers a AR cudas got
two bosses available the Boss 302 and  earlier today we saw the counterpart the Boss 429 with that big 429 cubic inch engine when it  crossed the block boy it got big numbers here at Barrett Jackson uh the 302 of course this was  all the product of a guy named Larry Shinoda Shinoda had come over from Chevrolet where he  had been involved with the midyear Corvettes he was lured over to Ford and came up with this  concept to you know talk about the boss who the boss was bunkey nson who was the he
ad of  Ford at that time and once again we've talked about how they eventually brought the end of  the Shelby GT 350 and 500 this is the reason $85,000 takes the car we've got another break  as we kick off our final hour on franic fway at [Music] Scottdale [Applause] [Music] 32 back at Barrett Jackson Scottdale  there is a car that we previewed for you early y 1969 Shelby GT 350 just went across the block  for $80,000 and note lot 1141 at 70 grand 69 Ford Mustang Mach 1 that Tyler Hoover preview
ed a few  minutes ago so now we move on to lot 11:42 here in our final hour tonight at Barrett Jackson  Scottdale 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat wide body fellow who knows about winning and  Dodges Kurt bus NASCAR champ just strolled by he's got his eye on a couple he wants to bit  on tomorrow we'll speak with him then but here we are with yet another Dodge Challenger SRT  Hellcat widebody this one in a deep burgundy with kind of a baseball glove looking interior  great combination the flat b
lack carbon looking stripes and the spoiler pretty Sinister octane  Red Demon black inside it's that red lagona leather $70,000 takes that Hellcat wide body sharp I like those colors and we'll  move on to 11421 2022 for chelby GT 500 boy a lot of these modern Collectibles are  coming to the attack and Auction Block uh today on Friday brand new Mustang  is just out before this GT500 has a 5.2 L Supercharged V8 a tremx 7-speed dual  clutch automatic transmission Shadow black ebony leather those ar
e ricaro bucket  seats and this one has just 122 actual miles and I'm always amazed when you look at  the range of what Mustang has been able to appeal to right they've got some people  who are buying the simple EcoBoost you know maybe the most basic vehicle you know  back in the original days we called it the secretary's car it's you know it's a fun  little car that you could buy and you know enjoy and spend you know reasonable amount  of money on or you can get carried away by the massive GT t
he Dark Horse whatever you  want and then you can send it off to Carol Shelby and get it you know into the GT500 range  and everybody seems to accept it this has the carbon option the carbon WI Wing the carbon  fiber Wheels which alone are about 10 grand that's an $118,000 option and it does sell  for well above sticker Bop $135,000 Mike and speaking of Mike we talked about our Spotlight  year of 1971 first year of the Barrett Jackson auctions here in Scottdale Tom Barrett and Russ  Jackson fath
er of Craig Jackson current Company CEO started a tradition that lives to this day  our Mike Joy has his own favorite 71 picked out here Detroit was still very firmly in the muscle  car business in 1971 don't let anybody tell you that era was over however external forces  made cars like this quite rare first gas prices were going up and this 426 cubic inch Hemi  gulped it at about 8 m to the gallon second the Hemi option was over ,000 contributing nearly  25% to the total cost of this car but th
e big hammer came from the insurance companies  they had begun to put sech charges on V8 muscle cars on the order of 2% and that took a  lot of people out of the market this is a very highly optioned car and it's a beauty but  as a result of those forces only 107 Hemi Cuda coups and seven convertibles were built  for 1971 making it a very rare piece then and now and we'll see that car and a whole lot  more tomorrow on Super Saturday at Barrett Jackson speaking of hems we're looking at a 66  Dodg
e Hemi Charger Mike boy I remember the the charger show car the New York World Fair and  it came to the market looking just like this but only 250 of them in 19 66 got the big 426  Hemi like this one yeah and this one has been Dave White certified you know he's the Mopar  expert around here and he comes through and figures out whether this is legitimately what  it's supposed to be it does indeed have his name you know you look at this Fastback style and  look how the charger changed over the cou
rse of the next few years you know evolved away from  this you of long Fastback style in a way this kind of reminds me of the AMC Marlin back in  its day 77,000 takes it to that gentleman up in the luxury boxes once again here's Tyler on  Super Saturday we have an original Gold Wing selling but the legend was reborn in 2010 with  this also selling tomorrow a 2012 example of an SLS AMG now this was the first car AMG got  to design and engineer from the ground up and they did it as a tribute to th
e original hence  the Gold Wing door doors and you go inside it is absolutely beautiful this one has the desino  soft black leather you can see the paddle shift on the steering wheel for the Dual clutch  transmission which is mounted in the back so in the front is the engine but it's technically  a Mid Engine because you can see it's sitting behind the front wheels 563 horsepower out  of a naturally aspirated V8 and then those goes so much further out so they put the dryy  sump oil tank right he
re the air intakes all the cooling just to give it the proportions  somewhat of the original what a beautiful car beautiful indeed and yet another model  that we will see tomorrow on Super Saturday now here is everybody's favorite the 1954 Kaiser  Darren Roadster hammered away at $80,000 made of fiberglass doors that retract into the front  body workor real Vision that almost wasn't produced there it is now we move on to  lot 1144 is 71 Mustang ma 1 429 Cobra Jet okay is bigger better because th
at's what  was happening in 1971 slowly but surely they were taking the Mustang and getting it bigger and  bigger and bigger I think it was still running on the 109 in wheelbase but everything about it  just got longer and longer and longer and of course you know we were nearing the end because  at this point they were beginning to throttle things I mean yeah it's a Mach one but it's  got a different styling compared to the 1970 which you know the 1969 and 70 are very similar  this is a much box
ier look with that honeycomb rear fascia right there you know once again  so often we think bigger bigger bigger but when you're talking about the Mustang was bigger  and ironically I mean here we are in 1971 just a couple years later 1974 would roll around and the  Mustang 2 would arrive which meant that when this was on the showroom floors the engineers were  already in the designers were already working on a radically different Mustang that would  have nothing in common with this car [Music]
whatsoever 7200 takes it that gentleman remembers them when they were new and now our Mike Joy is going  to address the crowd no extra charge thank you Steve how about this you could  not buy this from a Ford showroom it doesn't have a VIN you had to buy this out of the parts  department because in 2018 Ford built 50 of these or 68 of these cobra Jets to celebrate the ones  they built in 1968 they're not street legal and Alan Boyd bought a Ford dealership to add to the  Crossroads Ford name this
was in the showroom it had been delivered to the dealership it had  been driven around the lot several times put in the showroom and on display I can't promise  you it's the only one of these left new in the rapper but I can promise you that whoever buys  it will be the first to take it down the quarter mile all around here we go well it's funny  when Mike was saying you know that they were taking around the parking lot I have to think  while they might not have gone a full quarter mile there's
a good chance whoever did it around  the parking lot was doing it you know as fast as they possibly could but the point you know Mike  made is true you know if you look on the car card right here it makes it really clear this is not  street legal this does not have a VIN where you can drive it around and get it licensed this was  built for one thing and one thing only and that was racing you look inside it's very Spartan  this does not have the traditional Mustang interior it's got racing seats
in the back  there's no seat back there just a massive roll bar big ET slicks on the back and a  full roll cage yes this is a single purpose machine and uh sadly not street  legal no no not even with a dealer plate cuz you couldn't read the dealer plate  with the drag shootter installed the NH did come to the dealership and inspect this  car and approve it for competition but it's never been to the drag strip and you got  to love a wheelie bar I mean look at that thing right there you know you'
re accelerating  out but you know you don't want to pop it too much I also love the fun Graphics you know  it's very you know 1960 style lettering right there with that beautiful Cobra  going all the way to the front wheel2 [Music] 828,000 [Music] 81,000 after some minor adjustments  takes the car to its new home and we can only wonder what that gentleman will do with  it stand by for more from Barrett Jackson welcome back to Bar Jackson Scottdale this  is how close folks can get to these fabulo
us cars at each and every Barett Jackson auction  and you don't need to break the bank to do it for a very reasonable general admission you get  the run of the place just ask that you respect the cars and the owners and the process as they  all cross the Barett Jackson block to find new homes this is lot 1146 6 of 56 Ford Thunderbird  convertible and we are at $135,000 Rick strong money I mean it's a good restoration the color  is special though Sunset coral on a 1956 with that beautiful Contine
ntal kit out the back well  Amos Minter did the restoration and that's why this one brings the money 135 large that's quite  something and I think that winning bidder may have been bidding on behalf of someone else on  the other end of that phone call see it often bar Jackson now here comes another drag machine  it's a 2022 Chevy COPO Camaro well you saw what Ford did with the Cobra Jet Chevy's response  was this the Copo which stands for central office production order you had to go straight  t
o Chevrolet to get something that wasn't part of the regular production options available  through your local dealer and one of those copos was this this limited production drag car  yeah 727 horsepower so and they made I think a total of less than 700 copos when they from the  time they restarted it which was back around you know 2011 2012 during the Run of these cars and  once again as we pointed out this is not street legal you can't slap a license plate on this and  drive around it's designe
d and built for only one purpose and that's to go racing and as you pointed  out a quarter mile at a time you could try turning right and left but that's not really what this was  designed for so the NH requires a full roll cage in cars of a certain uh speed capability and we  see that installed here a main hoop forward Hoops door bars down Hoops in the back big hooer slicks  wheelie bars Provisions for a drag shoot it's all here to IND your OPP well just a moment  ago we saw how Ford handled th
e wheelie bars in the back and I just want to you know  contrast and compare how Chevy's doing it so Ford has the single wheelie bar Chevy has two  you notice the shock absorbers CU you don't want to just hit it and move on so you're  going to release some of that stress when you do hit it but instead of having just a one  wheelie bar we've got two see the mount for the drag shoot here and the cable release for it  and there's a shut off switch as required by rules wow it got all the way to $100
,000  for a car you cannot drive legally on the street let's go back to April Rose now we  got another Copo here 1969 chevel COPO 427 finish fin in a beautiful fathom green very  nice restoration shows really well under the salon lights here now this car is going across  tomorrow on Super Saturday and it is super rare one of 323 built now it's got that 427 425 horse  VH which of course you just learned from Mike joy and Rick Doro that you had a special order that's  the central office purchase o
rder four-speed Mony transmission comes with it build sheet and inside  has parchment seats that have a really pretty Sheen to them no AC radio delete this was built  to go straight and fast Bob I don't know if I'm allowed to say pretty but it does have a pretty  Sheen this is true American muscle but hey it's pretty too hey April if you think it's pretty  that's all that matters I think it is too but it's neither here nor there 65,000 000 the hammer  price on this Chevy no I'm sorry they're sti
ll bidding on it 67 Chevy Camaro ss396 yeah from  one extreme to the other just a moment ago we saw a very modern Copo that came across with  a nothing but a drag package well here you're look at at stock from 1967 $75,000 I didn't miss  it by [Music] much go now here comes something cool 1957 Doo Adventurer well this was really the  high watermark for doto this Adventurer just such a spectacular car on every level and the Virgil  exer styling that goes on and on those big quad headlights up fro
nt the way they've designed  this it's just a beautiful car from front to back you know I love all the touches that they've  got here the gold up front and when you go back look at these Tail Fins that go back and you look  at this body colors I mean this is stock this is the way it was coming out of the factory yes and  from the factory had a 345 cubic in V8 Hemi pretty impressive along with the massive fins if you  look at the interior it looks like they might be trying to preserve the origina
l seats or at  least trying to keep these seats nice because it's plastic covers sort of like your grandma's  couch back in the day now remember when we look at these fins okay this is 1957 this is 2 years  before Cadillac comes out with what everybody seems to think are the most extreme fins of all  time but I don't think doto and I don't think Chrysler was giving anything away at all and  boy when you look at this look on the inside as well I know we got the uh the granny seat  covers but look
at the design of these seats the style three different Fabrics that are used  and check out that big huge dashboard nice all the way [Applause] around $43,000 is that about  body colors I'd say [Music] 10an that lady is empowered okay what do we got  now 1970 Camaro custom lot 1148 well this uh award-winning high performance one  that nicknamed tour to force was built by uh Heath eler Restorations Pride Fabrications got plenty  of Detroit Speed Engineering underneath it's got a full roll cage n
ice subframe that color once  again gunmetal gray we've seen just about every variation of gray that we can possibly see today  uh but I love the look of this one you know it's it's almost a silvery gray with the black accents  boy and look at what they've done inside with the roll cage you've got these big tires in the back  uh looks like I don't think it's been tub but it's pretty darn close to it another car with a  full cage a bespoke dash and I believe this has probably been tubed much wide
r wheels and tires  than it's been born with an almost full trunk with carbon fiber striped blackout bumpers and  a tail light panel this is a very very extensive build I'm not the least bit surprised we're at  six figures the 70 to 73 Camaro my favorite GM design ever uh I'm partial to z28s but uh boy  this this looks just great yeah first year for this second generation and once again I often  talk about the fact that that how the 1967 to 69 have such a great underpinnings in terms of  looking
forward as opposed to looking backwards like the Mustang in building on the the Falcon  chassis and then they come out with 1970 and they take it another step forward well a very European  design and notice there that this is continuous from the roof down to the Belt Line there is  no step out here for the fender as you'd see on almost every other car at 1970 and the roof  mors right into the a pillar here with the sweep of the windshield somewhat Ferrari esque very  European styling uh breakin
g new ground the 197 Camaro and Firebird up front there's a 427 cubic  inch engine underneath that hood pumping out 600 [Music] horsepower yeah and you can see they bumped  it out with that carbon fiber hood but they painted the edge of it to match the card looks  really [Music] good yeah it's interesting you know we see so much attention given to the 69  in the first Generations I'm like Mike I love this second generation of Camaro I think  the styling is great the look is great and I think we
should see more customs and more  modifications done on some of these hamers away at $ 126,000 wow we're getting late in the  evening here in Scottdale that car BR strong numbers out the door it go into its place on  The Auction Block is a 69 Chevy [Music] Corvette custom convertible yeah 327 cubic in we don't  have the big block but we got a big stack that they've put on this is part of the custom work  that's been done underneath the hood changing the intake add some fuel injection to it and
changing things around underneath the hood but I love the fact that they haven't gone overboard  put a big huge block walk in they still have a 327 cubic in underneath there keeps the front  a little lighter well it certainly sounded a little more spicy coming up up the block with the  side pipes this one has the hard top installed beautiful blue green color yeah that's elart  blue it's a once again we've talked about how they're naming all after races I love RAC tracks  I love this particular c
olor it's like you say it's very soft nicely done um four-speed manual  Transmission in there downdraft fuel injection system well they've done a lot of great work  to this to just take it up to the next level absolutely beautiful here6 I always liked on the  hard tops how they did the split of course you have this bump in the middle but then they had to  put the rub Rubber seal across it so they put a little hump in the hard top installing these you  need two people most certainly or you can do
the turtle method I've seen people come and put it  on their backs and sort of walk it off but uh that's probably for the young well of course this  is the stingray Stinger right here this is this line that's supposed to emulate what you'd get  hit with $70,000 takes it and we've got another break coming up as the minutes continue to tick  away in our final hour here at Barett Jackson [Music] Scottdale welcome back to Barrett Jackson  Scottdale where the auction action continues up on the Block
and as you can see plenty  of beautiful Dream Rides yet to cross the Block they'll be Crossing tomorrow on  Super Saturday you won't want to miss a minute of The Very Best of the Best of  Barett Jackson under the television lights just rolling off the block right now A 2018  Dodge Challenger SRT demon and we're at 105 110 [Music] ,000 well the demon is a legend even  though it's now 5 years old it still sells for well over its MSRP thanks to that 840  Horsepower Supercharged Hemi under the hood
0 to 60 and under 2 seconds qu mile equally  insane well under the 10 and this one looks Nearly [Music] New [Applause] beautiful in  triple black but for the Red Demon emblems behind the front wheel on the fender everything  else even the wheels are in blackout [Music] trim so knew this would have been around $90,000  if you got it MSRP but we are looking at a 5-year-old car and what world does a 5-year-old  car never Dee a demon Porsche Ferrari very few American cars this one $122,000 takes th
e demon  now one of the charms of an auction like Barett Jackson is because we have so many cars there you  can often follow the family tree as it were for some of the great brands from around the world our  Tyler Hoover takes a look at an extreme example with over 2,000 cars selling at Barrett Jackson  Scottdale it makes sense that we would see some variety but this might be the first time that we  see three generations of Lamborghini v12s selling no Reserve starting with this 80s icon a 1988
Lamborghini kage 5000 the V12 at the time 420 horsepower this is the original Lamborghini poster  car and I absolutely love these but let's continue on this trip through Lamborghini history let's  get into the '90s here with this 1997 Diablo VT rooster that was ordered new by Donald Trump in  this oneoff color very special car 492 horsepower out of the v12 by this year all-wheel drive and  this one a rare Roadster the topper moves and clips onto the bonnets but we still have one more  decade to
go rounding it out is this 2006 merci Lago roader with 571 horsepower now out of the V12  fed air by these Deployable bat wings that have little electric motors inside so we'll see which  one of these Lambos is the buest of the Bulls when it crosses the [Music] block interesting  ordered originally by former president Donald Trump who to guess here's a 1970 Dodge Challenger  custom convertible we're at 90 grand in counting Oh what a beautiful custom this is six-speed Trac  transmission behind th
is kbel 6.1 L Hemi and they have adapted brand new Challenger headlights and  Grill into this 1970 ebody hemic convertible so in the original 6.1 Hemi came out I shouldn't say  original because after 1971 when the Hemi came back it wasn't supercharged for a while but they  were able to build it with this 95,000 sends it to its new home we've got another break coming up one  more segment before we bid you good night so stand by for a wrap sell your collector car with Barrett  Jackson April 18th t
hrough 20th in Palm Beach be among the premier vehicles in the lineup for the  world's greatest collector car auctions in Florida consign today to reach our pre-qualified biders  call 480 42166 94 or visit barrett-jackson.com [Music] welcome back there's a glimpse down into  the salon we're the very best of the best here at Barrett Jackson including those Beauties  from the Don Williams collection we cross the Barrett Jackson auction block tomorrow who knows  what they'll bring supercars got the
m Classics got them sports cars of every stripe got them  all be sure to join us tomorrow on the History Channel and FYI all of the action 10 hours SE  for [Music] orinal what have we here this is a 1960 mercedesbenz zero or 0 319b hanor which  is interesting because of course Mercedes-Benz is German well you know Mike always likes to  use that term never seen one of those before I guarantee you I have never seen one of these cross  the The Auction Block here at Barrett Jackson on the other hand
if you spend any time touring  in uh Europe say between 1955 and the mid '70s there's an excellent chance you would have been  riding around in one of these things and panoramic is referring to of course all of those windows  up there and that sliding roof you know if you were on a tour through the Alps this is exactly  what you wanted to use and this one I love the fact that they've redone it in very modern style  fabric across the back this is fun thing to see here well we know that was the r
eason why they  made the 22 window Volkswagen bus to tour the alphs and have Scenic views to take people around  and this looks like that on steroids it is so much bigger than a Volkswagen bus and it's actually  powered by an interesting engine apparently was upgraded to the same power plant you would get  in a Mercedes 190sl so the smaller more sedate version of the 300 SL in that same era has the  same four-cylinder fuel injected engine pretty cool only 120 horsepower and you think about  it t
hat's not an awful lot for something like this but it wasn't all about going fast it wasn't  about using it on the ottobon and seeing how fast you could go but I love the fact if you buy one  of these here at Barrett Jackson you're going to be the only guy in your neighborhood to have one  well it's been restored apparently it was rusted quite badly so they had to replace most of the  body when they redid this and you can see they used modern bus seats inside for comfort so I  wonder if this thi
ng was put to work again it's beautiful and the O in the 0319 B name stands  for what they call overclass which is the big class of vehicle and this is but I just  noticed it has a duy in the rear so four tires in the rear so they must have thought  uh The Tourist were going to be heavy maybe they came from America I'm not sure or or  they were just thinking safety in case we have a blowout that way no one will be  inconvenience we'll make it where we're going let's get love here in the room we'
re  closing in on six figures and we'll never know if that's a good deal or a bad deal because  this is probably the only one to ever sell at auction $95,000 takes it and here's a look  at our top three sellers of the day beginning with a 1970 Chevrolet custom chevel that hammered  away at $255,000 in second place a 1967 Chevy C10 custom pickup truck $300,000 and Topping them  all the blue oval a 69 Ford Mustang boss429 $400,000 so it's been a big day here it's going  to be a big day tomorrow an
d we can only guess where the numbers will go as we keep building  towards Super Saturday still some cars to be hammered away here once again you can find how  they all did at barrett-jackson.com along with everything that you'll see tomorrow on the docket  check it out barrett-jackson.com what a day it's been we're going to take a deep breath now and  reset for Super Saturday hard to imagine that anything can top what we've seen today but that's  exactly what we're in store for we kick things o
ff with 4 hours on FYI at 2 p.m. eastern time  and then we switch over to the History Channel for another 6 hours of auction action so Buck love  for now for Mike Joy Rick debru Tyler Hoover April Rose and our entire incredible television  team I'm Bob Vara thanks for riding along with us today we'll see you tomorrow for Super  Saturday at the Barrett Jackson collector car auction

All right, all right, all right....This is what I was looking for a few days ago. I apologize Barrett-Jackson for my comments.

@duanek.7044

Welcome back mister Varsa 🎉

@goodboyringo9716

At time 2:36 a 1970 Cougar Eliminator ... My cus bought a yellow one with black strips in 1970 , it had a 428 4 speed . It was crazy fast , he would hit 2nd or 3rd ( not sure the gear ) 5 feet from the car in front of us and scare the hell out of me. It would set my head back in the seat for sure.

@donaldkaderis5524

Blue max is in New Jersey still has the original LT1 and a/c.

@jre617

On the '58 Vette's trunk, I'd call those strakes, not "tusks."

@goodboyringo9716

The people are saying the economy isn't doing good , ha ha . You could have fooled me.

@mikeklakowicz1186

I have a complaint and I'll just point out one cat but there's been alot of the. Okay when the 1964 g.t.o. came across and showed the hood wasn't opened to show the engine to see if it was a tri power or a four barrel. Second didn't show the interior and never mentioned if it was a 4sd or automatic not cool in my book. Makes a world of difference in my book when buying a muscle car when it comes to price.

@kevinbarrett9615

Not a truck person, perplexed by pickup’s going for way more than classic muscle cars, don’t get it ,never will. Born in the 50’s , when l was a kid we never sat around drooling over some work vehicle, but we did love race cars and sports cars and muscle cars, because they were built to go fast and look good. I guess it’s the new reality, I’ll keep driving my Mustang G.T. Rag and enjoy the ride 😎

@DrBroncanuus

this is an interesting barometer for the economy....I can't believe people are spending such vast sums on these cars in a recession

@jre617

Chevy really dominates, according to Debruhl's description of the numbers. I confess, I get a little tired of the 1970 Chevelles on Saturday.

@muddwhistle7833

Rick Debruhl, a modern Bugatti is not a super car 👎🤦‍♀️🤭
