Did you like Sometimes I Think About Dying? Well,
here are three more movies that you should watch. 1. A Ghost Story. This is a downbeat and
surprisingly minimalist film that follows a ghost as he silently observes the people who
live in his old house. It’s a more supernatural film, but it also examines life, death,
loneliness, and a desire for connection. 2. Swiss Army Man. Another Sundance premiere, this
surrealist comedy drama approaches loneliness in an even more unique fashion by focus
ing on
a marooned man who befriends a flatulent corpse. It’s extraordinarily silly and weird,
but has more heart than you might expect. 3. I’m Thinking of Ending Things. If you’d
like another film that explores loneliness and identity, albeit in a more esoteric and
metaphorical way, this might be one for you. Not only does it share in having a dark sounding
name, but it focuses on a character who struggles to keep reality in check as hopelessness
and discontent seep into their life.
