In this video we’ll animate this Now this effect is inspired from Coca cola’s recent ad where the camera just go inside this painting now this tutorial is for all the beginners as I’ll be teaching you step by step how you can manage your layers and your 3d camera in 3D enviroment by animating this effect All inside my favoriate software Adobe After Effects After watching this video you Will be able to do such amazing animations, that's great for a portfolio and beyond portfolio You can use this
effect in your workflow quite a bit. For example I used it here to explain mutation topic and in my last video I used it to show number animation like this now if you practise along with me which I would highly recommend Then you can download all the elements used in this video by using the link in the description Now let’s open after effects now first I’ll Import all my assets and will create a new compostion I’ll rename this comp 3D camera animation And you can use the same settings from here
now let’s click ok now in this composition we’ll add our cloud sky layer and all of angel layers by simple drag and drop will place this cloud layer at the bottom and we’ll select all and click on this 3D icon. so that all the layers would become 3D Now, If you don't see any icon right click over here go to the columns option and choose switch to add this in here Now next we will add a camera by going on layers New Camera here in this panel we prepare our camera settings so first of all Let’s c
heck our Camera Type now it has only 2 options one-node camera & two- node camera I’ll explain both later in the video Next is name and then preset This is basically focal lengths of our lenses 15mm is super wide lense and 200mm is zoom lens from here we can also choose custom focal lengths but for this tutorial I’ll choose 35 mm Now rest of the options are linked with our focal lenghts only and to be honest I've never had to change these because these presets are designed to mimic our real came
ra Last is depth of field by enabling it we can blur out our background We will explore this further in the video and infact We can change all these settings anytime later. now let’s click ok Now let’s solo these two layers now we’ll move these two layers back in our 3D space To do so, we’ll first click over here and we’ll switch it to two views now these both views are same so I’ll select this view and from here I’ll make it top view and now in this view we can see our layers from the top. so i
f I rotate my layer upwards we’ll be able see our layer in this view we can also see our camera here and this is our background so here are three options to move this layer y axis x axis and z axis from this view we can move it back in our z space now while moving it further in the back it has come inside of our camera frame so to solve it We are increasing its scale. let’s just make it 450 And we can push it further back now how long would you bring the background back will depend on the feel
of your desired animation for this animation this much distance is enough similarly we’ll place all out angel layers in different position in our z space and obviously we can change the position later anytime. I will show you the process quickly And now if we move our camera in z axis then it will give us this type of animation let’s reset the position of our camera now before animating our camera I'll double click on it. and here we’ll understand the difference between one-node camera and two-n
ode camera right now our camera is on two-node camera If I make it a one-node camera then our “point of interest” property will be removed from here but how this “point of interest” work? let’s click ok now from here we’ll first change our view I’ll make it right view I’ll adjust the view a bit now if I change the position value of my camera Then the angle of our camera will remain in center here we can see that our camera is right now facing down & we can also change this angle from here Let’s
reset this and now let’s switch to one node camera now the “point of interest” property is gone from here so now if I move my camera up then our angle here will be straight so basically two node camera gives us an additional property, by which we can animate “point of interest” separately I personally always use two node camera so that i could adjust my camera angle with my composition panel and having an additional property only gives more flexibility in my workflow So I’ve made it two-node ca
mera again and now on our first frame we’ll add keyfrimes on our point of interest and position and seven seconds later we move our camera to our last position so here our basic animation is done now between these 2 keyfrimes we’ll change our x and y axis values I will again switch to the right view And I will adjust it like this. Now I want my camera to move from below the feathers of this angel layer So at this point I’ll change my y axis & I’ll move it a little to the left and similarly we ca
n change our point of interests as well Apart from this, you can also add movement in layers for example I’ll add some keyfrimes in this layers y axis so I’ll add a keyfrime on my first frime and after a while i take it up from here now it’s looking good I’ll fast forward this framing process and obviously we can change the position of the layers And now our animation will look like this here I’ve added some movement in almost all layers and now to give it roller coster feel I’ll add keyframes i
n my camera rotation I’ll add some rotation here Going further, I’ll rotate it on the other side just like this I’ll add keyfrimes in the opposite direction within the equal gaps and now we’ll select our rotation keyframes And to smooth it I’ll add easy ease by pressing f9 now let’s preview it now we can readjust it anytime according to our taste in our animation and now it’s looking better Now we will add realism in our scene. by enabling the depth of field We’ll open camera options and here is
our depth of field will turn it on from here And we will again add 2 views from here so if I toggle the switch of my depth of field you can see it’s adding a line in our camera this is our focus distance We can set it anywhere. below it is our aperture if i increase the aperture So my background will get more blurred this same results can be achieved if I increase the blur level but we’ll reset this and we’ll set our aperture to 150 so our focus is on our first layer let’s animate it I’ll add a
keyfrime here on this point I want my focus to stay here and change suddenly let’s bring it back and on this point I want it to focus on this layer so let’s change our focus distance and In this way we’ll animate our focus distance I’ll fast forward this process as well now let’s preview our animation Now to add more realism we’’ll enable it’s motion blur we’ll select all our layers and we’ll click on this icon let’s change it to one view and here with motion blur and without motion blur You ca
n see the difference between them off on now let’s preview it Now because depth field is on as we’ll as motion blur so our preview will render slowly now to make it smooth we’ll change our preview quality to third and now it’s going good now our clouds are only in the background I want some cloud in the between of our layers to do so I’ll dublicate our cloud layer and double click on it to open it in layer comp here I can select any cloud and draw a mask around it and that’s it let’s come back t
o our compostion and now we’ll take this cloud and place it between our layers I’ll roughly place it between my angel layers I think here it’ll look good now to make this sharp edges soft we’ll select this layer and press f and we’ll add some feather in it let’s shift it a little to the left and that’s it let’s preview it right now it’s looking fine from this distance But when we come closer it’s very solidy so we can animate it’s opacity by pressing alt + shift + t on our keyboard let’s bring b
ack this keyframe and now on this frame I’ll make it’s opacity on zero we can shift it a bit forward in time and now it’s looking good now to stay organized I’ll rename this layer now I’ll add some more clouds in the middle of our angel layers using same process and I’ll again fast forward in this process as well And now our animation is done. now to get the feel of going inside the painting i’ll select all of my layers and will pre-compose them by right clicking on them and pre-compose we’ll re
name this comp main animation and now we’ll add this painting background In this composition & to fit it in the composition we’ll press ctrl + alt + f let’s place it behind our animation and we’ll dublicate our animation we’ll shift this layer two seconds forward in time and we’ll go to the first frime and we’ll right click on our animation layer below go to time, and add a freeze frame in it so that this animation would freeze on it’s first frime let’s rename this painting here we’ll make all o
f our layers 3D and now we’ll add a camera here we’ll make it a two-node camera let’s click ok now on our 2nd second we’ll add a keyfrime in the position property of our camera now let’s go to our first frame and change it’s z axis here all the layers are going away from our camera but now let’s scale up our wall We'll adjust it something like this. now if i preview it our painting animation is now complete. but it doesn’t look like a painting Because there are no borders around it now to create
borders we’ll duplicate our freezed frame layer & we’ll scale up this layer below now let’s add fill effect on it we double click on now we can make it’s color white we can also choose our color from here now we’ve added white borders now let’s add black borders we will duplicate it again and we’ll scale up this layer behind our white layer and we’ll change it’s color to black black if we look at this painting we can see some shadow here and there’s even some reflection on it’s black border so
we’ll add this in our borders as well let’s first add shadow we’ll select our black borders layer and here i’ll type drop shadow it to add it, I’ll double click on it and here I’ll quickly change it’s settings So that it looks like the painting next to it and now for reflection we’ll add here cc light sweep this will add some reflection like this I quickly adjusted this too so that it could also look like the painting next to ours here in it’s reflections there are some warm colors so I’ll chan
ge the color our my reflection as well let’s click ok now in the last We will enable motion blur in this animation as well and that’s it our animation is now done I hope this video was helpfull now whatever next you want to see on this channel you can comment that down below in this video to see more videos like this and to support me you can like this video subscribe to this channel. and I’ll see you in the next one
