5 Mistakes NEW YouTubers Make (FIX THEM TO GROW FAST!!)

5 Mistakes NEW YouTubers Make - (Fix Them to Grow FAST) Throughout my entire YouTube journey, I have reviewed hundreds of new YouTube channels that are struggling to get views and subscribers. Upon observing them all collectively, I found some mistakes that are common to all of them. In this video, I have presented 5 of those common mistakes that new every new YouTuber makes. The good part is, the more mistakes you fix/avoid, the more you grow. Fix them all, and you're ready to grow your channel fast! "So, if you are a new YouTuber and you are only getting 50, 100, 200 views, then this video is going to be very important for you because chances are you might be making one, two, or maybe all of these 5 mistakes on your channel, which is preventing your channel from growing. And these are not just random mistakes like changing channel settings or adding tags, which everyone knows. These are 5 actual mistakes that most creators make. The good thing is, if you avoid or fix these mistakes, your ch
annel will grow even more. Avoiding mistake no.4 is the most important, and mistake no.5 is so common that I'm sure you're also doing it. Starting with mistake no.1: Wrong Niche Most new YouTubers start their YouTube channel to either make money or gain fame. Very few do it out of passion. Because of this, new YouTubers often select the wrong topic. For example, if someone wants to make money, they might start a tech channel like Tech Burner or Guruji, even though they have no knowledge of tech.
Similarly, if someone wants fame, they might start a roasting channel like Carryminati or Thugesh, even though they have no roasting skills. So, the first mistake when selecting a niche is choosing an unsuitable one. Unless you have at least basic to intermediate knowledge in a topic, don't start a channel in that niche. First, you won't be able to compete with well-established channels in that niche. Second, even if a couple of your videos go viral, you'll struggle to come up with more video i
deas, and it won't be enjoyable to work on that channel. So, select a niche that suits you! Now, the question is, how to select the right niche? Simple. Take a copy and pen, and write down all the things you are good at or interested in. You'll instantly get 4-5 raw channel ideas. If you are good at singing, you can start a song cover channel. If you like watching movies, you can do movie reviews. If you are interested in science, you can start a fact channel. There are plenty of options. And do
n't say that you are only good at watching videos, so you can start a reaction channel. There are many options, so make sure to select the right one for you. Also, your expectations should be in proportion to your niche. If your dream is to have 10-15 million subscribers on YouTube, then you probably shouldn't choose a niche with a very small audience. Mistake no.2: Bad Audio A new YouTuber has to work on many things in their initial days, such as lighting, audio, camera quality, editing, and mu
ch more. But if you ask me which one is the most important among them all, I will say 'Audio.' I cannot stress enough how crucial good audio is. Any viewer can watch a low-quality video with mediocre editing if the audio is good. Whereas, the reverse is not true. Even if your content is excellent, if the audio is not good, people won't watch it. So, fix the audio quickly; otherwise, you're making a big mistake. But what if you don't have a microphone? You can still get good audio without one. Re
cord in a place where your voice doesn't echo, like a closet filled with clothes and cushions to reduce echo and improve the audio. Alright, that's about audio, but if you make the next mistake, people will start hating your videos even before watching them. Mistake no.3: Poor Branding Poor branding doesn't just mean having a bad logo, channel art, or channel name. The problem arises when you copy all these things from a big creator. Many new YouTubers think that by copying big creators, they wi
ll also get views, but the reality is quite the opposite. For example, in my niche, there's a creator named Algrow with over 400,000 subscribers. Many new YouTubers copy Algrow's logo, channel art, channel name, and thumbnail style for their channels. Now, if their content is not good, nobody watches it. But even if their content is good, they don't grow much because viewers form a negative first impression that they are copycats. So, if you are copying a big creator, change your branding now. M
istake no.4: Wrong Topics When I check new channels, around 90% of them make this mistake of selecting the wrong topics, which results in low views, or even if they get views, they stop at 50-100 views. Wrong topics can be of two types: first, videos about yourself. When you are new on YouTube, people are not interested in you. If you make videos about yourself, only your friends and family will watch them, not others. So, avoid making videos about yourself in the beginning. The second type of w
rong topic is videos that nobody wants to watch. Even if you don't make videos about yourself, you still need to create content that people search for or want to watch. Select topics that are popular in your niche, or that your audience is searching for, or make videos that solve your subscribers' problems. Don't just make videos on whatever comes to your mind because later on, you'll wonder why you're not getting views even though your title, thumbnail, and editing are good. Now, this next mist
ake is something I made in my YouTube journey for 3-4 years, which hindered my growth. Mistake no.5: Learning But Not Applying When new creators don't get views, they search on YouTube for videos like "How to grow on YouTube," "How to get more views," "How to get more subscribers," and so on. It's okay to watch such videos because they provide valuable tips to improve your content. But the problem arises when you watch these videos but don't apply the knowledge you've gained. Pay attention to th
is: it's easy to click on videos about growing on YouTube when your channel is not growing. When such a video appears on your homepage, your brain tells you that it might contain something that will make your channel grow. So, you click on it. Now, if you apply the tips you learn from that video, then it's fine. But most creators just keep scrolling after watching the video, and the cycle repeats. Let me tell you, this is such a big mistake that it can waste years of your YouTube journey. So, th
e next time you want to watch a video about how to grow on YouTube, ask yourself if you applied the tips from the last video you watched. If not, don't watch the new video. First, apply what you've learned. Bonus Mistake no.6: A few days ago, I received a comment saying, "Who reads titles, man?" And I'm telling you that ignoring titles is a big mistake. To get a good CTR (click-through rate) on your videos, not just the thumbnail but also the title matters a lot. But if you are a new YouTuber, y
ou might struggle to come up with good titles. So, if you want to learn how to write good titles in just 2 steps, click on the video on the screen. You'll find it there. Bye!"

@decodingyt

Exception to mistake no.4 is that you 'can' make videos about yourself if it is something people actually care about. For example: "A day in my life as an IIT student" or "my first iPhone unboxing" is something that people will still watch even if they don't know you, because they care about something particular that is being provided through your video like "IIT" or "first iPhone"... BTW, is video ka part 2 chahiye ho to bolna...
