5 people hurt during Easter mass fire at church in Brooklyn

ours I want you to take a look at some of this damage right now as parts of that building now blanket the sidewalk we're seeing everything from burnt Woods slacks and broken glass well let's get straight to some citizen video of a very active scene from yesterday in the 1:00 hour here on seagull Street before the blaze a congregation gathered inside our lady of the Rosary of Pompei celebrating an afternoon Mass but when smoke started wafting into service nearly 200 parishioners evacuated the chu

rch with old elect electrical wiring and a lot of wood so that firefighters could get to work hitting those hot spots in order to put out those raging Flames while the blaze Relentless taking about 200 firefighters and 4 hours to get this very dangerous situation under control while there was no loss of life five people were injured including three firefighters and two other people all expected to be okay but for fire officials all was not lost keep the door closed cuz that contains the fire and

thankfully we were able to to save the church part of the structure uh has some water damage but is undamaged overall and I think that's God looking down on us today on Easter Sunday and saving at least that part of the building now the fire damaged much of the rectory section of the building which is more like classrooms and office space the good news is the fire is under control while an active investigation is now underway but the big question that fire officials are trying to answer right n
