GOD BLESS THESE LADIES! I met an older couple of lady friends who met every day for lunch or dinner at "Gino's East of Chicago" for 40 something years at the time I met them. Story just like this. I ate there one night in 2001, and was reading a newspaper clipping from the major Chicago rag about them, and turned, and there they were, taking the seat next to me. I greeted them and got their autograph. The only reason I was there (cost me a lot of money to get there) was because I'd seen Jules Asner (on Wild On: Chicago) do a special on Chicago with focus on that restaurant. I'm getting old. Can't stand my narcissist gaslighting wife, about to get divorced, and about ready to go sightseeing. So... I'll go it alone because I'm not ready to be around anyone else yet. I'll keep you posted.
