need to know is that he's evil and unhinged and a lot of people on Tumblr have made a pastime of drawing hypersexualized humanized or sometimes pyramid headed interpretations of him often blonde and wearing a Dapper suit extrapolated of course from Bill's top head bow tie and I thought it would be fun to rank those kind of fan-made bills as someone who hasn't really interacted with that side of fandom on how attractive I personally find them needless to say this video is going to be quite a bit

different from a lot of the things that I've done before on this channel but let me begin jumping in with what this video is not going to be I did not just Google cringy Bill Cipher fan art to find some teens anime style drawing of a self-insert OC making out with with a blonde twink in a top hat from 2014 we're not doing that leave the kids alone speaking of which I did not make this video for kids this video does not have children as an intended audience if you're a kid stop watching there's n

othing here for you frankly if you're an adult I also want you to stop watching this video has no merit except giving my parents yet another reason to be disappointed in me that being said if this video isn't based on Google results what did I do well several months ago I put out a call for my subscribers and for people who follow me on Tumblr to willingly Supply their art for this video for me to rank in materialist and rank them I will going into this project I should establish that to me in m

y head Cannon Bill Cipher was never this Dapper anime twink similar to the ones I saw him drawn as on Tumblr so long ago to me Bill Cipher doesn't wear a suit to me Bill Cipher is every white man in cargo shorts who tried to sell me on the idea of crypto oh Bill he wants you to build a portal to the moon oh Bill Cipher you mean Frank the guy in your local coffee shop who wears a top hat with his polo shirt because he's different like that who told you he liked your Vibe because you were wearing

black lipstick before trying to sell you ater all at that he would only accept payment in the form of nft Apes that's who Bill Cipher is to me and don't go oh but Bill needs to be sophisticated and cool I mean he manipulated Dipper and Ford would they really be manipulated like that if he wasn't Dapper and attractive well first of all Dipper is 12 he's 12 he's a child he's an infant he's baby but also Ford's dad never gave him validation as a child so now he innately trusts anyone who who calls

him smart this can't be our litness test for how sophisticated and Dapper Bill Cipher is I say all this to say that my vision of Bill Cipher isn't necessarily the dominant one in the fandom but this was the perspective that I ended up going into this experiment with I also think I was just a little bit old when I joined the fandom to be drawing the anime twink versions of Bill Cipher when I joined a Gravity Falls fandom I had just ended a long-standing relationship with Shadow the Hedgehog and I

wasn't get ready for another sexy man to be in my [Music] life at this point let me explain the rules for the submissions people could submit multiple bills but they had to be different types you can't submit two human bills but you could hypothetically submit like a monster Bill and also a human bill you know what I mean also you needed to be an adult to participate I I have no interest in making sexual comments about the fan art drawn by children I got to mention somewhere that I got over 100

submissions some of them didn't quite make the cut because they either didn't follow the criteria or they were drawn by children but I did my best to attribute every piece correctly in this video but as always in my videos I'm going to have a pinned comment going over anything I might have missed anything I might have gotten wrong or any mistake I might have made please let me know if I did but also know that I did my best as far as how I ranked the bills themselves I was really Vibes based but

dence and summer crushes where whereas the older Pines twins go through things like homelessness ostracization struggling with the meaning of family struggling with how to find and create a legacy for yourself not to say that Dipper and Mabel don't face any mature issues but the experiences of the older Pines twins definitely were a part of the show that sunk their claws into me and never let go I mean seriously I'm still in here after 10 years I'm not leaving anytime soon my interest in the sho

w was almost waning a bit before the book of bill was announced but then they announced it and here I am I was three days away from retirement Alex and while all the themes that the different characters go through stand as a good Line in the Sand between my circles and the more Bill focused circles um I don't think that's all that was going on here I think on a subconscious level while I do in fact pride myself on being a huge fan of the show there was a part of me that really wanted to disassoc

se of you who migrated to Tumblr from Tik Tok and Twitter in the last year hi nice to meet you a Tumblr sexy man is a phenomenon of Ever Changing definition but that vaguely describes a quirky mysterious often villainous character uh that large group of Tumblr users find a fascination with with usually this Fascination manifests in a very smooth and twinked Fan Art of a sad misunderstood white guy or alternatively a [ __ ] up evil skinny white guy the two genders often times the character begins

as a skinny white guy from whatever material it comes from the most famous example of this and possibly the original Tumblr sexy man example of this would be the onler who became popular due to to various reimaginings and recharacterization and different pieces of fan art created by that fandom and often those iterations were shipped with one another this era of Tumblr history was very deeply delved into in Sarah Zed's video on the topic so go watch that if you haven't why am I shouting out mas

sive YouTubers like you don't know who they are it's very nice of me to give these upcoming YouTubers like Sarah zette and Contra points will leg up but if you haven't seen these videos go watch them and if you have seen them watch them again they're good some sexy men aren't always originally white twinks though sometimes they're geometric shapes or various household items or skeletons or purple I think it's often the Simplicity of these characters that cement their status as Tumblr sexy men be

cause it encourages the fans to draw humanized reimaginings of them the same way that the oner's reimaginings fueled his Tumblr sexy men status it encourages people in these fandom spaces who again are very often times teens or tween or even children to anthropomorphize these characters often utilizing the same traits and qualities that have been exposed to these children as attractive like skinniness whiteness sness Etc like the twins all making their Tumblr sexymen drawing into skinny white tw

ins is it necessarily Sinister for a lot of these young fans the only example of attractive person that they've been exposed to in the media that they watch is like Hannah Montana's boyfriend yeah the sexy men all look alike it's because these twin have seen like 12 men total and all of these men were handpicked for marketing and Merchandising Reasons by Disney Executives and they all look like this these twins grow up in a society that tells them that whiteness thinness and moral grayness more

on that later is what attractiveness is and I don't quite have the tools yet to understand and unpack why that is or why they retain that but the perceived lack of imagination and trop of their fan art on top of the fact that these spaces were often queer fem young Etc and people who have the audacity to openly care about something and not even shove it in deep inside like the rest of us GH well all of that lends itself to mockery but you heard me mentioned how shipping fueled the sexan status o

f the onler and I think that's important to note here sometimes this takes the form of self shipping like making a self-insert OC or just straight out writing a story with yourself and this character but often times it takes place with a different character in the show I've made a lot of efforts not to talk about this but it's time to address the build dip shaped elephant in the room I know I I don't I don't really want to talk about it either and there's actually a Tim stamp on the screen right

now if you want to skip but Bild dip despite being something that I've literally never interacted with in my 10 plus years of being a fan of the show um is literally the number one ship in the Gravity Falls fandom Bild dip is problematic and bad because Dipper is 12 and Bill is billions of years old which last I checked is um on wait let me do the math um a grown ass man but I feel like I need to mention this because Bill dip did a lot for Bill's Tumblr sexy men status I know I've talked a lot

about how Tumblr is a difficult site to search through but looking back as far as I can build dip is what fueled a lot of the sexy men archetype here Bild dip was shipped primarily by young teenagers and that's important to remember going forward for these young teens and twins of course there a gravitation towards Bill he's a funny character he's morally dubious he's um kind of [ __ ] up can you believe they let this on a kid show just a reminder that it's problematic to manipulate a boomer int

aybe I'm just speaking anecdotally but the shipping factions of Gravity Falls like most f randoms include mostly trans and gay people maybe it's just me maybe I'm the common denominator maybe I'm the tap water turning the frogs gay oh my God these fake tattoos are like flaky I have like this I have like these fake tattoos and they're like flaking oh my god look like I have a skin condition [ __ ] it I'm a sexy bill cyer with a skin condition normalize that [ __ ] the D in BDSM is for dermatitis

20 likes teens are inundated on a daily basis with movies and television shows normalizing the sexualization of teens and multi-million dollar advertisement campaigns funded by their multi-billion dooll brands promising products to make you look more mature or attractive or sexy not to mention social media platforms like Tik Tok which are purposefully Distributing teen content to older adults who in turn engage with it we can have conversations about fan content and I definitely think we should

especially when someone is putting their not safe for work or problematic content in the general tags for a show where children can see it especially if it's a children's television show don't do that but I don't think that's where the problem begins God I really hope no one takes a bad faith interpretation of this like six minute section of an hour plus video and thinks I'm saying something that I'm not yesh but if you are going to make a bad faith interpretation leave your accusation in a comm
