A DAY in My Life 🤰 | How I MANAGE a Day during PREGNANCY | Chicken BIRIYANI | 5am ROUTINE

A DAY in My Life 🤰 | How I MANAGE a Day during PREGNANCY | Chicken Biriyani | 5am Routine --------------------- For some having a house help may seem to be a luxury, for some, it's a need. I would second the latter. because for me it's a need to fulfill your priorities. you may be able to handle it all like who we call a Supermom. In fact, I don't believe in those terms like Super Mom, Super Woman, and such. those sound really appreciable, but in fact, someone who is termed so is going through a tough time. Do not put yourself in a struggling machine mode. You need rest, you need help, you need to love yourself and there's nothing wrong with it. I can focus on what I love to do or my career when I know there is someone to take care of the house chores. But this video was taken when my house help was on leave. I had to manage like how I used to. So thought to film it and share those glimpses with you all. Not all days are the same. I had a lot of recipes going through my mind when I started preparing the chicken biriyani. I thought to call it Malai chicken biriyani initially in which I wanted to skip turmeric powder. but later I wanted to get that yellowish shade for the rice. Anyway, the final output came out flavourful. Hope you all enjoyed watching the video. Love you all !!! ============================ Online purchase links 1. Cooking Utensils - a. hi everyone welcome back to another video and I hope you all are doing well I'm doing great and thank you so much for each one of your messages asking about my health and sending lots of prayers and love through Instagram messages emails and even in the comment section it means a lot to me yes of course health is not the same every day but I'm trying to stay active most of the time which is very much needed during pregnancy pregnancy is not the time to relax completely and ask others to do tasks
for you but yes if you have help it will be great because like I said not every day is the same I do have House help for cooking but I still do the breakfast part on some days I ask her to chop the needed items so that I can reduce the standing time in the kitchen and on such days it's easy to cook for my family during weekends I cook as well as we eat out now she was on leave for a week due to some health issues so I thought it would be nice to share with you all how a day in my life is when I
manage it all now when I  cook something special I don't do much of the cleaning and when I need a deep clean the cooking  part will be really simple or else I'll order from restaurant I still have to wake up at 5 and it should be sharp as when we move to this new apartment kids bus timing is 10 minutes earlier so I can't delay my wakeup time and taking video in that hurry burry is not practical at all I was in a mood to prepare puris and potato stew I normally don't cook Puris because  of the
frying part but occasionally it's fine as soon as Rehan and Arman left for school I was resting for a while and unknowingly slept for around 30 to 40 minutes I thought of  having breakfast together with my husband but as soon as I woke up I was feeling very hungry and I didn't want to fry all the puis and keep just because I wanted to serve hot puris  for myself and also my husband when he is ready it's not that I can't manage if I have no house  help I used to manage all by myself until we left
Riyadh to stay in Kerala for a year it was then the first time someone came home to cook for us when people used to hear this they would say I'll  forget household work if I keep a house help and I think that's utter nonsense in spite, you will not  just still know your house work you will also be very productive and focus on what you love to do I hired someone because I was busy elsewhere it was such a relief for me so don't worry if you  need help if you can afford hire them and focus on what
you can do especially with your career and even if not like if you are carrying and not being able to do any household work your partner should be able to support you by any means it said that it's easy to forgive but hard to forget and that is true during the pregnancy period a pregnant mom will always remember how you treated her if you treat her well she will remember that for life where else if you don't consider her health and be supportive she will remember that pain her whole life I usua
lly don't like take a nap in  the mornings or evenings unless I'm too tired today unknowingly I did get a nap so after breakfast I give a quick cleanup to the mess that was lying around to  make it look neat I have slowed down all the activities I could do faster I'm in my third trimester now and the tiredness is more and sometimes I get up and sit down  in slow motion concerning the pain here and there having a life inside is I'll  say a blessed painful beautiful Journey I start preparing for l
unch normally at around  11:30 a.m. and do it in a relaxed mood rather than hurrying up during this pregnancy one of  the food items I don't like to have is chicken unless it's deep fried my husband and kids have  been asking me if I could prepare the Malabar chicken biryani that I used to cook once in a  while or at least once a month but now I can't even think of the smell I get from that Masala so today instead of that I prepared a different type and I'm sorry I don't have a specific  name fo
r this biryani it's just a chicken biryani but it's flavorful we got the chicken  cut from store and asked to cut it in medium sizes marinate 1 kg chicken pieces with 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 1 tsp black pepper powder salt and 1/2 tsp cumin powder keep that for at least 15 to 20 minutes and that's basmati rice  again kept for soaking after washing first I fried all the chicken pieces  that had been marinated heat  some oil and deep fry the pieces meanwhile prepping the rest crush a medium siz
e Ginger, one whole garlic bulb and 7-8 green chilies was feeling a bit hungry so as usual I took  some cornflakes in a mug along with some milk there is enough oil in the pan and I don't need the whole for sauteing the ingredients I removed some and  I will need this oil later as well now sauté four medium onions that  are sliced cook till they go soft and translucent the oil is infused with  flavors and use a spatula to take out those bits stuck into the pan while sauteing add a handful of cas
hews and mix here I'm using potatoes and do not  skip this the potatoes taste really good in this Masala I added it for me because  if at all I don't want to have chicken I can have the potatoes but even my kids  and husband enjoyed the potatoes in this Masala now add the crushed ingredients  and cook till the raw smell goes later I mixed in a cup of hot water to make  it easier to cook without catching of the bottom mix for a minute and  then take it off let this cool down add salt to the water
that's kept  for cooking rice along with that add whole spices like cardamom cloves  cinnamon mace and bay leaves add rice and cook now blend this to a smooth paste if you have a jar with that tiny lid on top and if your mixture is still  warm or hot remove that lid and blend so that it doesn't spill or else you'll  have to wait till it completely cools down take a large Biryani pot and add some oil  that was left after frying the chicken leave a little for the end now add cardamom cloves  and
black pepper corns then goes in the cubed potatoes now add in three medium tomatoes that's chopped let this cook for a few minutes now add the onion paste and mix adding some warm water into  the jar and add that to the pot I didn't wash the jar yet into this I'll beat one cup of curd for a few seconds add some salt then goes 2 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp black pepper powder mix well for a minute add a handful of chopped coriander leaves and a few mint leaves add the
fried chicken pieces then goes the curd mix well all together and and  let this cook for a minute keeping it covered meanwhile heat a heaped  tablespoon of ghee and the remaining oil by this time the potatoes should  be cooked but not too soft that they become mushy turn off the  flame and layer the rice on top make it in two parts after the  first part is layered drizzle the oil ghee mix sprinkling some mix of corander and mint leaves some garam masala powder and then repeat cover and cook on
high flame for just 30 seconds and then reduce the flame to very low and cook till the steam comes on top you may place  this on a tawa to avoid direct heat and burning time to serve as soon as we finished our  lunch Rehan had his online tution while Rehan was attending his tuition  I quickly cleaned up all the mess in the kitchen the rice was enough for all of  us to have for dinner so no more cooking was needed and what's more satisfying  than seeing a closed kitchen that's neat hands of cours
e after cleaning gets dry from the washing liquid so I keep  them moisturized with my hand cream I used to apply Johnson's  earlier but found these from Bath and Body which make my hand even more softer and moisturized later that evening  had our evening tea one cup for me and one cup for my husband who  will be coming from the office right now it was a Thursday and getting out for a drive  was much needed my watch box that was gifted to me by my very dear friend Jinu who is in Riyadh I love thi
s box and I miss being with her in Riyadh now if you're following me on Instagram in my Instagram story you might have seen me visiting this shop here in Muscat OOKA BOOKA the name sounds very  fancy and this was suggested by another friend Nahlah who is also now my neighbor I was really tempted  to go and try after watching her reel when she came here to try some of their best the chocolate cake, the cookies with chocolate dip and their munchkins later she told me that  their brownie is another
best one and also to try mango chili ice cream maybe next time we'll come and try those late night was in a crazy mood  to do some craft had this olive oil bottle so wrapped around jute thread to give a good look and that's all for today's video hope you enjoyed watching it stay tuned for  my next one until then take care bye-bye
