late strap in movie enthusiasts it's recap time today I'll explain a horror mystery movie called in my mother's skin from the year 20123 so let's start the film opens in the Philippines in 1945 as a Japanese soldier turns to cannibalism the image becomes even more odd and unsettling when he starts choking after devouring another Soldier to his dismay a live bird comes out of his throat following this we witness an affluent family terrified by Japanese soldiers who are losing control of the isla
nd while imprisoned in their country estate a man named Antonio is there to confront the father of the family named Aldo Antonio thinks that Aldo has stolen some gold from the Japanese but Aldo claims otherwise Antonio leaves while giving him the threat that he will be back in 2 days to get the gold later Aldo informs his wife legaya that she is not safe as long as Antonio is alive since the Japanese have instructions to exterminate every resident of the area he asks her to stay inside the house
for her own safety and tells her that he will be back when she inquires as to whether he has taken the Japanese gold he reassures her that he would never do anything to put her safety in danger tala their daughter arrives and inquires about the situation just then she is told by Aldo that the Americans have arrived and that they require his help talah asks what will become of them and he says he will be back he tells his son bayani to be brave and guard their house before he leaves after 2 week
s the Japanese soldiers stopped visiting their Village leaya suddenly gets very sick and falls to the ground due to a lack of proper medical supplies later as she is on a bed tala wonders if their dad is even alive and leaya gets a bit mad which upsets tala the next day tala and her brother bayani decide to leave the residents and try to find their dad with their father's revolver in hand for protection bayani gets ready to head out as tala and bayani explore the forest further they discover a c
ottage tala decides to explore and asks bayani to wait for her before going inside the cottage inside she sees a dead girl's body lying there engulfed in a swarm of insects fear takes over her as she runs out of the place tala returns and tells bayani that they need to go away from here while moving forward bayani stops after hearing a voice tala is shocked when she suddenly sees her father walking in front of her however when she looks back bayani has eerily disappeared bayani arrives at a Cree
k in this area and is horrified to discover that numerous dead B bodies are lying there when tala hears bayani's voice calling to her from this location she heads in that direction but discovers a Hut in its place she enters the Hut scared and after finding more eerie things an entity claiming to be a fairy appears the fairy posing as her friend tells her not to worry and that only the innocent are able to find this location she tells tala that her father is still alive and that her brother went
home safely she wants to Grant tala a wish but she gets a little scared and leaves she comes home and at night the fairy visits tala in her room the Fairy comes up to tala and tells her that her mother's condition is getting worse she extends a jar saying that it has a bug in it that will cure her mother and tala takes it later tala is with bani when he reveals that he had a terrifying dream where he saw tala their mother and their father dying trying to console him she tells him everything abo
ut the fery Antonio is then seen talking to their maid and telling her to find the gold in their house on the other hand tala becomes desperate and decides to use the bug from the jar on her mother leaya sits up when she abruptly wakes up and bites into the bug she chokes and gasps for breath for a moment before turning to face tala and making a terrifying noise the following day her health had completely recovered leaya informs tala that their father will soon return and that she should not wor
ry since he will bring home a feast when she asks tala what transpired the previous evening she responds that she met a fairy who healed her her the next night leaya is by herself in her room acting strangely and distressingly as though she is in pain the bug seems to be trying to take command of her body the following day unexplained noises in the house startled bani he finds that his mother isn't in her room when he looks around bayani finds her on the floor as she is biting her own arm later
on their maid Amore decides to tidy up and put legaya to bed by herself Leia starts to experience a terrifying and unexplainable change as she screams loudly and violently awakened when Amore realizes this she is so terrified that he locks her in a room and runs away after this tala visits the fair's location and she confirms that tala's mother has recovered tala addresses their need for food when the fairy gestures to a neighboring tree tala is shocked to see a large quantity of food there Over
joyed tala begins to eat Gathering food to put in her basket when tala gets home with dinner bayani explains that their mother isn't acting right later on at night after few uncanny encounters tala goes out and sees that her mother is chewing on her dog she closes the door before her mother can run inside she is terrified by that scene as bani comes there he opens the door and they see their mother lying unconscious while a dead bird is also seen nearby as both of them go inside and sit together
the Fairy comes to their house and eats the dead bird the next day as bani buries their dog the fairy visits tala she approaches the fairy telling her to erase what she's done and demand in to know what has happened to her mother the fery insists that she made the correct decision and that it was the essential course of action tala tells the fair to go saying that they don't need her help as she yells at her to go she then hears some disturbance and we see Antonio and Amore searching their home
for the gold when they are unsuccessful Antonio becomes upset and tells Amore that she is worthless just as he pulls a gun on a Moore he notices tala and fires a shot in her Direction after leaving the room he question questions tala about the gold but she responds that she doesn't know he then explains that her father was plotting to have them killed by the Japanese at that moment bani also shows up and aims a gun at Antonio but bayani hesitates and finds it difficult to fire when Antonio dare
s him to do so taking advantage of the situation he fires a shot that hits bani and tala immediately goes to her injured brother's side Antonio then presses her for the whereabouts of the gold feeling cornered tala gives Antonio the keys to her mother's room when Amore goes to tala she tells her that her father has passed away despite tala's please for help then she walks away declaring that Antonio is now the only person who can assist her Lia immediately launches an attack on Antonio and Amore
while they are looking for the gold in her room tala Fires at the approaching stranger in the midst of the turmoil because she fears for her mother to her surprise she discovers that Amore has been shot not her mother when tala enters her mother's room she is is greeted with a terrifying scene after killing Antonio with a vicious attack leaya is currently eating his flesh then leaya turns to face her and tala Bolts from the room screaming that they had to get out of there immediately in the mea
ntime leaya throws up a bird once more and tala manages to pull bayani out tala goes back to the fair's position distraught and overcome with remorse and begs for her help she begs the fery to assist her in reuniting her family claiming that it is her respons responsibility when the faery shows up she offers tala something to eat that she says will put an end to their misery but tala gets suspicious thinking that she's just playing tricks on her and she departs right away tala notices that bayan
i isn't Outdoors when she gets home as she rushes inside she is extremely devastated to see her brother's severed head it's only then that she hears a noise and turns to see the fairy standing close by and smiling the disturbing and terrifying conditions surrounding their house are further exacerbated when tala looks away and sees her mother slamming her head against the door leaya suddenly charges menacingly at tala who hastily locks herself in a room to escape the impending tragedy tala finds
that leaya has attacked and consumed a more within the room adding to the evil that has engulfed her family tala sits in a corner and begs for the nightmares to end it is only then that the fairy appears and asks what she wants tala emphasizes that she wants all of this gone immediately the fairy in her actual form smiles and all is silent for a moment tala walks out of the room to find her mother unconscious from Lea's back the insect that had been connected to the weird happenings appears and
takes off legia says the name of her son bayani as tala moves closer to her mother but leaya passes away the fairy then reappears there and declares that everything will vanish and she is free to do as she pleases when tala turns to face the fery she has offered the object and asked to eat it at which point she would actually be set free tala decides to steal The Shining object from the fairy since she has no other option the fairy leaves the scene as she does leaving tala to deal with the Fallo
ut from her decision after a few days Aldo finally makes it back to his house where he is horrified by the environment he also sees the head of his son and breaks down as he picks up the head and starts crying his partner comes and opens a drawer that has the gold and takes it he then shoots Aldo in his room and leaves with the wealth now that evening tala lights a candle in front of mother Mary and the fruit the fairy gave becomes bad due to the light of the candle she then gets out of there an
