loves pets sponsored by home Pro of West Michigan welcome back to 13 on your side mornings today we're joined by Teresa from Michelle's rescue and Marissa Foster ma mom to this adorable guy right here thank you so much for joining us today thank you so much and who did you bring with you yeah so this is Tao he is one of our dogs that's available for adoption with Michelle's rescue um he is about 11 months old and has been with our rescue for a few months now um he came to us um as an owner surre
nder and unfortunately when he came to us he was very underweight and had some behavioral issues so he spent some time with our one of our trainers Derek Conaway for a board and train um and then I got him after that to Foster and I've had him for almost four weeks okay um he is a really Incredible Dog um he is a lot of fun he loves um treats he's looking he loves treats yes he's on a mission he is very food motivated he is very smart um he is an active higher energy dog um but for an higher ene
rgy dog he also has an awesome off switch um so he loves to get his energy out in the afternoon and then he spends the last couple hours of the day just snuggling sleeping on my lab and it's wonderful I'm assuming then you're looking for a family a forever family that will meet his high energy needs who will be active take him out and about right yes so he is an active dog he loves to be wherever his humans are um and so he would make an excellent hiking or running or walking partner um he loves
car rides and really just wants to be wherever his humans are so she also has another dog and a cat and they get along fabulously so he would be F in a home home that has either dogs cats both okay what about small children yeah so he because of his size and his energy we feel like a family um with older kids so like 10 to 12 or older um or no kids would be best for him he because of his history of neglect he is a little bit on the Shire side and can be a little bit slow to warm up to people so
we are also looking for an experienced family um who kind of understands dogs and shy dogs and willing is willing to keep up with his training um he really thrives on like structure and routine and clear expectations and So a family who can keep up with that would be really ideal for him I think that's really the beauty of fostering that you guys get to like figure out his personality and what's best for him first before he finds that forever home yes does he have any cute funny personality qui
rks um he is very goofy he loves to like he doesn't really play fetch with us in the house but he loves to like pick up his rubber toy boys and then just will like throw them for himself and then like bounce after them and it's the cutest thing um he's also very smart and very athletic and so we think he would do amazing with a family who would want to like teach him like agility or nose work or Dog Sports like that oh okay um he would Thrive with that awesome you mentioned that you guys are loo
king for a lot more Fosters right now as well yes yes we are so we um we actually are looking for seven dog Fosters for the end of March so it's going to be coming up really really quickly um we actually are going to be taking in seven dogs from Raton Honduras that were at a failed rescue and so they desperately need to have homes and so we've opened up our rescue and now at this point we need Fosters and we do provide everything that that family needs so all of the food the supplies to take car
