Nooo please don't turn age of empires into a pay to win scam game like rise of kingdoms and lords mobile
When people said AoE4 looked like a mobile game because of its graphics they really were prophesying.

Nope, this is not the Age of Empires that I know, this is just Rise of Kingdoms with a different look
They pushed this game on the live stream more than AoM: Retold...
What makes this different from other typical Chinese mobile games
A classic AoE game would work well in mobile/touch, but it feels risky for big publishers to try something new. That's why they always choose to copy some other popular games. Edit: An example was Apex Legends, with a great port with almost no changes from the main version and even a team deathmatch game mode on release. But it got shut down by EA in May 2023, probably because of low mtx sales.
Why not just do a dumbed down version of AOE2 on mobile like y’all did with Xbox? Thats what the people wanted

Don't get it, this type of game you can find to dozens already in the app stores. Especially this overworld design and troop movement I've seen multiple times on adds already. Why make a simple copy of that and not a turn based AoE like the DS/3DS games?

The real "AoE Mobile" used to be called Age of Empires: Castle Siege (and it'll always be.. at least on our hearts). Give back what was taken from us.
This looks a lot like Rise of Kingdoms, the building system, evolution and troop movement.
Well there goes my eximent for this game.
