hello from the scenic coastal town of ay Beach the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and the Whit Sunday Islands located 1100 km north of Brisbane situated on the peninsula that stretches out into the Coral Sea offering breathtaking views of the wit Sunday [Music] Islands so since everybody's CHS was cancelled because it's too rough it's too rough to go to the um the G Great Barrier Reef and cirkle dive uh everybody's going to town and nobody really has any plans but our plan was to go to town t
o begin with so we're going to go walk to [Music] town so we don't have all day we have it's 9:30 and the last 10er is at 3: so uh you know we have a good amount of time actually the wind is keeping it cool it's nice thank you thank you I like your shirt oh those are really cute but when you get into town you're you're not on the map at the moment you're going to come up here see where the arrow is yeah the bus is going to come up here it's going to drop you here well I had no idea we're that fa
r away out of town get a free [Music] shuttle well we just got here got off the shuttle and um we're seeing black cocka flying by like in pears and flocks it's really neat they're big siiz black cockos like we saw l in Brisbane in the in the at the koala Sanctuary we saw them that's why we know what they are here's one right here in the Tre flying by wow like uh we wouldn't have known what they were if we went to see them at the koala [Music] Sanctuary nice Beach nice prominade the whole ship ha
d to come here because their tours were canceled it's too rough to go out to the platform to snorkel and and scuba dive and they actually had us tendered quite a ways from town but they provided a free shuttle about 20 minute ride and we have like 4 hours here so not a lot but I think it will be enough it's it's kind of like one day you're in a major city and then the next day you're on a beach in a little beach with tropical trees and it's like you're waking up and it feels like a you're waking
up to a dream because everything changes from one day to the [Laughter] next drastically I like the big cities because I like them both I mean I could like one more than the other they have their own they provide their own experience just from hustle and bustle like crazy through a city with a lot of people and all of a sudden it's you're in a spot where it's calm quiet peaceful with the water splashing on the beach it's great early Beach Lagoon it's a um man-made obviously Lagoon the people ca
n swim here they have beach and everything [Music] but it's safe no [Music] Stingers Zara wants to check the how warm it is super nice Lagoon maybe he'll go for a swim so zaro he actually got in to take a swim the sun is intense here nobody see no you can't go in there they're sting they're stinging uh Jellyfish and with it murky you can't even see them here's a nice Beach it's too bad you can't swim here but it is what it is Australia has a lot of stinging poisonous things yeah they they're the
y're jellyfish they're very dangerous what jellyfish yeah I do know you take you carry vinegar and that will help neutralize the poison these are birds we've never seen before completely different kind of bird I've never seen [Music] it here's a guided tour okay so we we're taking the to toque tour which I had seen and other people do and uh okay it was 100 Australian dollars for the two of us for an hour and she's going to giving us a tour of the entire area which is great and this is the stron
gest go I know she going like what 50 mes per hour p in 100° weather that's great thank you so there's every s season which is between uh November through to May oh November to May so they're here right now recommend that you don't swim anywhere that doesn't have Nets so we'll goach that do have Nets um we did have a a huge cruise ship comeing by recently and they all went swimming here all the way out there we got six people getting stung that day wow one of the girls was in hospital for like t
wo weeks two weeks it almost kills you huh yeah well my friend got stung she did say that it was the most pain she's ever felt oh oh that's terrible but she survived so that's good wow we do recommend that if you feel like going for us some at the beach uh this is the safest one to go this is really nice some big huge boats wow those look like dive boats that one oh look at those houses you can build right on the water nice Marina if you get out there below I'll take over okay you on the back wi
th Christmas and I'll P off okay things get hopping here at night yeah yeah well this this place has something going on this is a neat little town look at this I saw it was electric otherwise I'd feel guilty you have to walk or bike the famous Ary Beach prominade it's the nicest one we've been on it has most stunning and scenic views of the islands and the Coral Sea it spans 4 kilometers from the Ali Beach Lagoon all the way to the Cannonville Beach alongside sandy beaches with impressive marina
s boutique hotels Resorts and quaint Beachside restaurants it's a popular spot for walking jogging and cycling it connects various parts of Ali Beach making it an easy way to explore yeah look at the view this is neat oh another Marina wow oh this is really cute look at this everything looks so modern and New Circle that now we're talking 10 10 grand a week and that's and you can Charter this yes you can so they do like a 6our training course and then let you go but Oh you mean you're on your ow
n they don't you don't have a crew no that could be a problem that's it's okay that'll be a problem inw but it wasn't a sailboat okay oh sailboat yeah another another ball game there's a couple we see beautiful there's anybody out there that's a sailor that would like to uh get a group together and rent one of these for a week we're in yes we'll drink and I'll make the drinks and Zar will drink the beer I'll do the barbecue I'll do the barbecue the barbecue beautiful I need to learn how to make
Cil down a bit so if you were going to rent that uh that sail bat when would you rent it yeah you would rent it you'd probably rent it towards the middle of the year like August September something like that I'd say the best cuz that's when we have uh yeah we have everyone do the yacht racing and it's always packed there's so much events in town and no Cyclones no Cyclones yeah look at that Ocean Club that's nice I thought it was a restaurant and I was like oh look at my yeah looks like a restau
rant it's a it's like um it's it's what it's apparently it's Club they play shower laundry wow it sure is fancy it [Music] does let's just stay here for a while let's not get back on the ship let's go take a there I really like it it's beautiful so peaceful the town it serves as a main launching point for excursions to the wit Sunday islands and the Great Barrier Reef there are many tour operators offering s trips snorkeling diving adventures and many other activities this brings many tourists h
ere you can go to the barri AR for 249 the flights aren't that bad $299 wow like the oh that's not that no it's not cheers to racial woohoo it's it's a four-wheel drive but anyway they're cooking our burkers on that ay burgers do it here in Australia what we found out so far you they don't wait on you you go up you order at the front and you pay like if you go get a beer then you pay at that point in time then you order your your food food you pay and then they bring it to the table so all the r
estaurants along here are doing that we thought that was different we're not used to that but evidently that's uh normal operating procedure so I pretty much deconstructed no bacon no french fries probably half the bacon probably half the bun because you know you can gain weight eating this kind of stuff so I got to watch my night no way we're heading back to the ship now 2:00 and tomorrow we're going to be in KES so stay tuned we're going to we have a great tour lined up when we get there I did
n't know there was so many [Music] islands there's a lot of islands here our next video will be visiting cans if you're enjoying watching hit the like button comment and share

Awwww 🥰 Thanks for the shoutout! It looked so beautiful there! I’ve never seen or even heard of black cockatoo’s before!!! Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. 👍

@LucyBird

Omg the cockatoo's! So cool to see in their natural habitat

@traceymoore6679

Another perfect outfit selection. ❤ Even though you couldnt get to the reef, you still had a wonderful day and you've taught me something. I never even knew we had black cockies!! The lagoon looked lovely for a little dip too. ❤ your favourite Aussie follower 🦘🦘

@WilliamHenryAlbert

It's a shame you only had a limited time in Airlie Beach. As nice as it is, the real beauty is in the Reef and many Islands. We're looking forward to you video from Cairns. Thanks again for posting these videos, they are brilliant.

@livenbelieve4819

Another great video you two! Awesome ~ Thank you! Lisa (oh and it’s something to have all that beautiful water…. yet it is problematic with stingers.. 😮😳)

@jdutchlol4689

@tinawarren275

I never knew about the jellyfish there. Black cocatoos are so pretty. I love all your videos so fun and educational. We were thinking of booking an Australian cruise for 2026.

@GET_YOUTUBE_VIEWS_m045

Exactly what I needed.

@dboutier5636

So beautiful and so peaceful. Too bad at this time of year you can’t swim in the ocean. The black cockatoos were really beautiful. Once again you’ve done a great job stay safe.

@roshemmings8857

Black Cockatoos can be a sign of rain. I have them in the bush near my home and if they do their laps it usually means rain is on the way.

@Brightangel55

What a pity about the rough seas... looks like you had a nice day 👌

@user-vj4wi5qh7k

Nice video. Last time when sailing from Sydney to Singapore we missed Airlie Beach and Cairns due to weather. It was nice to see. A little steep for a Rickshaw ride for an hour ($100) but i guess you saw things you wouldn't have seen on foot.

@victoriafenton2926

What a great way to go with that gal showing you so much!

@gbsailing9436

Australia has over 8000 islands including Tasmania. I hope you get a chance to get there. Cairns, unfortunately is not worth talking about and has no redeeming features. It can rain a lot, has dirty brown muddy beaches and the stingers of course. The only thing going for Cairns is that it is close to Kuranda up in the mountains. I'd take the chance to do the train ride up the mountain to Kuranda if you have the time. it's a great little trip (not long) and the township is very quaint! Enjoy your travels from Cronulla, Sydney. 👋
