a Mad Dash for passengers to catch their cruise ship triggering a 7-Day ordeal we've flown it's actually seven countries we've been in in 48 hours Jay and Jill Campbell and six other Norwegian Crews passengers were on a 21-day Voyage up the coast of Africa but last Wednesday it all went wrong for the group after they left the ship for a private Excursion to the African island country of sa to and Principe but didn't make it back by the 3:00 p.m. deadline and the ship left without them their pass
port handed to the local Port agents even though the couple says the private tour operator notified the captain they were going to be late and despite the Coast Guard's attempt to get them on the ship which was still docked we truly believe that you know although there's a set of rules uh or policies that the ship may may have followed they follow those rules too rigidly the passengers arranged to board again in bonel Gambia traveling there on their own expense but the cruise line says the ship
couldn't dunk due to weather in a statement Norwegian Crews told NBC News once the guests did not make it back to the ship we worked with them and the local Port agent to assist with obtaining the necessary visas for them to rejoin at the next available Port noting the group was an hour late when the ship initially left without them still the Campbell's telling the Today show I believe that they really forgot that they are people working in the hospitality industry tonight the cruise line saying
the unexpected adventure has been resolved all eight guests reboarding the ship this morning in Sagal Aaron mlin NBC news thanks for watching stay updated about breaking news and top stories on the NBC News app or follow us on social media

@aninterestingstoryabout

This is all the fault of the passengers. They should not have taken a private tour and should have stuck to cruise ship supported tours. And now crying on television cuz they missed their boat. Why should other people have to wait when they are an hour late? Theie fault completely 100%

@KingArthur13th

Cruise ships move like airplanes. They're not going to wait around for you to show up. It's your job and responsibility to show up on time.

@StevenChou1984

Their fault for being late. Why is this newsworthy

@wizardofahhhhhhz

“They followed their rules too rigidly.” Talk about PRIVILEGE, believing the rules shouldn’t apply to you when you are an hour late and thousands of other people are waiting to leave. Why did this even make the news? 😒😒🙄🙄

@Itsisawnotiseen

Look, nobody feels sorry for you. Learn responsibility.

@johntillotson4254

Its not the ship's fault

@cahough2312

no sympathy here.....pitiful! Acting like a child who forgot his homework!

@lowandslow3939

Don’t be late, that ship has sailed. They will not and should not wait for late passengers. This happens all the time. If every cruise ship waited for every late passenger, none of these companies would be able to maintain schedules, causing backups and chaos in ports all over the world because people won’t accept responsibility for their own actions. No sympathy.

@jasonthomas369

I’m sorry, are we suppose to feel bad for grown adults who think the world revolves around them? 🤡🤣🤣🤣🤣

@MagpieOnTheMoon

I mean... the cruise lines tells passengers that they will be left if they don't show up in time to get on the ship.

@jtpalooki7757

What 90% of people don’t realize is that the sips captain has the same level of authority as any world leader! His word is law!

@sirwilliamchristian

This is not a news story! This is completely the passengers fault.

@Paintbl99

lol this is cruise ship protocol 101. They tell you explicitly that you have to be back before the departure deadline or you will have to find your own transport to the next port. The fact that these grown children are blaming the cruise line are what is wrong with today’s society. Zero accountability for your own actions.

@briaspleasures

The cruise ship is on a time span. They cannot accommodate one group of people over the rest of the passengers. Why should they have to delay their voyage for ur private trip.

@deeanna8448

It is made very clear on a cruise that the ship WILL leave without you if you are late. Being in the hospitality industry means providing a safe comfortable trip with food amenities. It doesn't mean putting the entire rest of the customers on hold to wait for a couple of late people. The customer is not always right. What ridiculous entitled people!

@crisarmada1669

They thought they were special expecting ship will wait in expense of thousands other passengers.

@angelamontgomery9007

And I’ll bet they open their big mouths all over social media bad mouthing the cruise line, never once claiming responsibility.

@1870dav

"They forgot they are people working in the hospitality industry" tells you everything you need to know about these entitled twits.

@Kaysway2003

They should of been on time. They disregarded and disrespected the entire ship

@robschannel4512

Why is this a story. Here's news, don't be late for your ship. It will leave.
