About Andrew Kurka (USA, Para alpine skiing): Originally wanted to become a professional wrestler and one day qualify for the Olympic Games. After his accident he tried mono-ski for the first time and in 2010 was called up to the USA´s Paralympic team. Since then, he has competed at various World Cups and World Championships. About the Samsung Paralympic Bloggers: The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is partnering with its Worldwide Paralympic Partner Samsung to provide 25 bloggers the chance to record exclusive behind-the-scenes video blogs during the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. A total of 19 Paralympians, three team officials and three super-fans from Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Spain, South Korea and USA will take part. hey guys it's andrew kirk out here at the top of the gondola for uh samsung paralympic bloggers and i got my gold medal with the downhill and my silver with the super g and it was a huge honor for me bring being able to uh to bring back the very first paralympic medal for alaska and the fact that it was gold was just a huge honor and i'm not going to be competing in the slalom of my coaches advised that i i stay out of it but i'm going to be bringing you a little bit different blog today i'm goi
