okay so there's been a lot of talk about bringing more Pro Sports to Utah a new proposal on Capitol Hill would increase the sales tax in Salt Lake City to make it all happen the half cent increase would be used for an entertainment project for a possible NHL team and Utah Jazz and the plan could make some big changes to the area near the Delta Center where both the NBA and the NHL could play some people we talked to said that they're they were okay with the half penni's increase if there's an ov
er all benefit for fans and the economy I don't think that'd be a problem I mean it's a pretty small amount I think it'd be great to get an NHL team here if the team is good and if it brings if it brings a lot to the economy of the state or the region why not we're building this for Utah who love to support their team love their Sports okay utans who are in Salt Lake City would pay the sales tax increase on most things including food so I'm here for it yeah you know why not I feel like it's goin
g to happen anyway so here just go ahead and take my money scan the QR code you can share your opinion about all of this uh would you be excuse me would you be willing to pay a half cent uh for more in sales tax to help fund a hockey stadium and right now uh 7% or well 11% are saying uh yes it is good for the economy uh 53% say no it diverts funds needed elsewhere so there you have it
