hello i'm sam this is dan we're in a band called architects and we are here at abbey road studio 2 creating an amazon original of the first single of our new record called animals you don't need to be a musician to understand the significance of abbey road and i almost find myself avoiding mentioning it to people everyone knows that i'm a big but it was found as well so they're like whoa how does that feel for you and i'm like i can't process it leave me alone it's been amazing to to be here and
to be playing in this amazing room and also amazing to just have all of us together and be able to be with our crew as well and yes it's been a strange year so to have everyone together just feels really good it's been amazing to take the song to a whole other level there's obviously quite a lot of strings on our new record and being able to actually rework a song that doesn't have that in this way has been been really cool obviously animals is this industrial very like almost mechanical soundi
ng song and it felt like would be cool to just completely flip it and make it this much more human organic version and i think it just came off so well there's nothing cooler than looking out and seeing an orchestra and percussion and just being like this is so cool that like this band is doing this and and us being able to to be at the point of just being able to be as creative as we want to be and be supported in that as well is amazing although we have orchestral instruments on the album this
is this is done in a totally different way and it's come from a totally different angle it's it's and i love the way it's come [Music] off for me i just felt like more inspired and excited to explore melody with the band and that's maybe that's a reflection of not feeling so angry generally in my life perhaps i don't know with animals it was it was so instantaneous it was it felt so exciting and it just felt like weird almost struck gold because then people started gazing for the felt like oh w
e found something really special here like oh well it was almost so entertaining it felt like where did that come from when we started writing the record the attitude was kind of like let's do whatever we want and see where we end up after however many months and then listen back and think well you know we've gone too far away is this going to upset people or are we in a good spot i think we never really ended up looking back because we just felt good about everything we had when you've been in
a band and you've done nine albums it's like okay i want to do something and and we want to get that like excitement and that buzz that you get the first time you like write a song and you're like ah yes we've got it and like the first time you like write a chorus or a bit in the song where you're like play it back go back go back and like animals is a prime example of that like dan said like it was a song where as soon as it finishes when we got the demo it was like okay back to the start i wan
t to hear it again unlocking that was really key to to you know creating this record people are going to listen to us saying this and they're going to be like oh no this sounds good um have a listen to that that and they're acting like it's mozart it is it's modern mozart it was more like mozart now with this one [Music]

@Someone-hj2mn

Please make more orchestral version songs!

@tnsmmu3269

AN ORDINARY EXTINCTION Orchestral version would be sick. Imagine that main synth riff with an orchestra.

@Mekami-sama

The orchestral version is absolutely gorgeous

@hedlund

Yep, metal and classical instruments go together so good it's fucking disgusting. Absolutely lovely.

@jamesramsden1038

We need an orchestral version of Dead Butterflies!

@Evanescence1892

I want this Song on Spotify! :(

@comiturhan

Animals is probably their best song. I thought that Hereafter was gonna be their best song but when Animals was released and seeing the number of listeners on Spotify then it's probably safe to say that this is their best song. But in the end let's just be grateful that these guys exist and enjoy their music . \m/

@robertconnor7267
