n the midst of all these layoffs it's been a rough January for Tech workers as several companies ring in 2024 with layoffs some are downsizing some are recalibrating eBay Google charge Point even Tik Tok not immune to job Cuts as the industry shifts its focus and its jobs to AI remember our whole history is of Industries uh being invented uh reaching a point of maturity and then becoming obsolete this happens over and over it's been our story for 80 years it's a learning experience for everybody
John KO has been through Silicon Valley layoffs before he says it's always good to have a backup plan and keep up with current Tech Trends just be persistent um keep on going on it there'll be opportunities coming up I mean Ai and a lot of different things are happening and he's right for example AI Dash based in San Jose just raised $50 million in Venture Capital money to use AI to fight climate change and its hiring so we are a 300 people company today and we plan to double that size to 600 p
eople in next two years that will include aggressive hiring in Bay Area and he says a lot of that hiring will be done here over the next six months meanwhile Google CEO SAR Pai putting out a memo saying that company will focus on its priorities meaning new AI Rel jobs while likely cutting in other areas Janelle
