BCCI Central Contract List CONTROVERSY: Punishment for Shreyas Ishan! | Cricket News | Sport Circle

Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan punished by BCCI! BCCI has announced the central contracts list for the men's cricketers in India for the coming year. While most of the decisions are along the expected lines, with the likes Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retained in Grade A+ contracts, two big decisions have been made. One is to drop Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan from the list of centrally contracted players. The reason behind this move is said to be the 2 players' refusal to play in the domestic Ranji Trophy tournament despite not being selected in Indian team for the ongoing England test series. While Ishan Kishan has been on a break since the South Africa series in December, Shreyas Iyer was dropped from the team after the first 2 Test matches of the India vs England Test series. The selectors and team management urged the two to play in the Ranji Trophy games for their states but these requests were ignored, and hence the punishment. However, the big question here is - while Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan get punished, why does Hardik Pandya get a BCCI contract, despite almost never playing domestic cricket? That too, a Grade A BCCI contract for Hardik Pandya! Another decision announced is fast bowling contracts for young fast bowlers who have shown the potential to be nurtured in the coming years. We talk about all this and more in this video, so check it out now and leave your comments about the burning question - Are there different rules for different players in Indian cricket? #shreyasiyer #ishankishan #bccicontract #indiancricketselection #hardikpandya #contractcontroversy #teamindianews #indiancricketer #cricketupdatesinhindi #cricketupdates #bccidomestic #ranjitrophy2024 #ishankishannews #shreyasiyernews #hardikpandyalatestnews Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. [Music] BCCI has announced all the central contracts of Indian men's cricketers yesterday and one or two big decisions have been dropped in it. Big bombs are being talked about in today's video. The first one was not very shocking for everyone. Somewhere this news had come that outsiders Shreya Sayer and Ishan Kishan will be dropped from the central contract list because they refused to play domestic cricket. They refused to give priority to domestic cricket. OK I Understand case by case. If you
see, Shrey Sayer had a very good World Cup, he had scored more than 500 runs. Before the South Africa series, he had also played Ranji Trophy in the England Test series. After the first two matches, he was dropped. He was told that no, now you have to go and play domestic, you have to play Ranji, you have to expect what is fair, for what ever reason. There were many reports that no, he has told Mumbai, he has told his Ranji team that There is some issue in my back, I cannot play the match. Quar
ter final NCA which is our National Cricket Academy where all the players go to get fit, everyone's fitness reports come from there, they contacted BCCI about this and said. No, no, we are not aware of any new injury, so this was a bit of a controversy created, in the report that came after that, it was said that no, he is ready, Ranji grinds to go back to play the next semi-final. Is he ready? In such a situation, it seems a bit unfair. Many people are saying, no, no, he was playing so well, ye
s, it is only a match, he was refused to play for what ever reason, the player has been dropped, his dismay. No, he may be ready to play immediately, you can understand, but again you have ignored every clear statement, every clear suggestion of the team management or not, they are dropping you so that you go and play Ranji and come back after improving that. This is something that cannot be ignored, fine, you have given punishment, okay Ishan Kishan was with the Indian team for a long time, he
was going in and out, but he was in the squad, his place in the playing 11 was not getting fixed in the last almost one and a half to two years. Infact he scored 200 in one day and then he was dropped in the next match because the rest were ready, so now after the World Cup, the South Africa series which was the entire stretch of the South Africa series was the time limited overs ODI. And after the T20, there were in-outs in that too even though all the seniors were not there. After that, at the
time of the Test series, he said that on mental health grounds, I need a little break, a little bit, right now I am probably not ready to play cricket. Then there was this thing that Rahul Rat Sahab is our coach. He had said that whenever he comes back, he will first play domestic games and only then he will be counted in the contention. There are reports again and again that Ishan Kishan does not want to play Ranji, he absolutely does not want to play Ranji. He did not play Ranji for Jarkhand
the whole season. Then comes the report that he is training with Hardik Pandey and Krunal Pandya. Instead of going to NCA and not playing Ranji, he is training with them. And for all of those reasons, now he has got a central contract. I have been removed from the list , okay, this is also a change somewhere, you have given punishment for ignoring a direct suggestion, ignoring a direct order that yes brother, only if you play Ranji, something will be possible to move forward, okay here some peop
le are concerned that Because there is a player who said that I need a little break on mental health grounds, this thing is still not being discussed as much as Virat Kohli had talked about last year till last year now in fact when he came out Or no, I was having actual issues, maybe I was not mentally ready to play cricket and there was a break in the middle, after which he came back in dangerous form, that was really good to watch. Yes, if there was such a big man there and he would have talke
d. If yes, then the importance of this thing gets highlighted a little because modern day sport affects modern day anything. Somewhere, the pressures we have created, the constructs we have created, social media, these things around the world, they do leave some impact. We all will accept this at some level, we can say as much as we want, we have so much money, we are so happy, this is that, but somewhere these things are leaving an impact in the society, we have seen many examples, so some peop
le are like this. The concern is that if you throw out a player who was not playing cricket on mental health grounds, will you You are setting a bad example, you are setting a dangerous president, this is something that demands an actual discussion, this thing and I hope you guys are listening, do share your thoughts in the comments below because this is a bit of a weird situation. There is no punishment if you ignore domestic cricket. Domestic cricket has to be given priority. No doubt but if y
ou are not understanding different situations, every person's situation is different, every person's mindset is different, then in those regions. If you don't go in and just placed an order then that may be very dangerous. Just my opinion. What do you think? Do tell me in the comments below. Now my main question is that credit for this whole thing has been given to Sayer who ignored the domestic cricket and threw him out. Ignored the match, he was thrown out, he is fine Ishan Kishan ignored the
Ranji Trophy, he is fine Ishan Kishan ignored the Ranji Trophy and went to practice with Hardik Pandya, Hardik Pandya gets the contract in today's date, got the Central tomorrow Got a grade A contract Got a grade B Not grade C Got a grade A contract Hardik Pandya doesn't play red ball cricket domestic at all Fitness shoes This is what ever Hardik Pandya very rarely plays white ball domestic too Vijay Hazare Syed Mushtaq Ali Hardik Pandya has made a comeback in recent times, that too in a private
tournament, DY Patil Tournament, which is being held in T20, while playing for Reliance team. If a set of parameters You have made a statement which should obviously apply to everyone. In that case, is it fair that a player is going to practice with another player ignoring everything else ? The first player is obviously being removed from the contract list. But he is giving Grade A contract to the player with whom he is going to practice. Is that fair? That is something to be actually spoken ab
out. Hardik Pandya was a brilliant leader, such an all-rounder who was apparently the richest board in the world and no one was getting ready. But his fitness record is such that many a times he is not available for the Indian team only, he is not available for the entire series. If a big series is played then it becomes a big deal. Yes, he is always available for IPL. Somehow his calendar for IPL. It is set that around IPL they are at full fitness, so is this setting another very wrong example
for all the other cricketers that there are different rules for everyone, what level is your profile, what is your level of responsibility. Which IPL team do you play for, who are your basic backers, what difference is it making according to all these things and if it is making a difference then it is a very dangerous thing happening in Indian cricket and if this keeps happening then Brother, then we did a video last week, in my opinion, there will not be much scope left for international cricke
t because everyone knows that yes, do well in IPL, get good backers in IPL, keep your good friendship with powerful people. A little problem, no one can say anything after that, that is something which I really really hope is not happening. Apart from that, there is another notable absentee in the contract list, that is Yuzvendra Chahal. I don't know the contract list, only this happens. That is your contract for the year. Obviously, even if you are outside the contract list, you can still play
India. No doubt, there is a contract list somewhere, which is the central contract list, it shows you an image, call it the actual scheme of things. That yes , it gives a bit of a clear picture of the plans that are there for the next coming year and the absence of Yuzvendra Chahal in it is a sign of desperation that he is no longer in the scheme of things, some how in the IPL. There is T20 World Cup just after and is Yuzvendra Chahal not being considered that much in the first priority list? Th
is is a question I don't know again. What is in your mind according to you, do tell in the comments below. If the overall list is left then If I look at him quickly, he has Grade A+ contract. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are obviously the four players who form the main core in all three formats. Your Grade A is then your Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, these. Got promotion Bye Dave Shubman Gill has also got promotion And Hardik Pand
ya We have talked about them We will not do it again and again They are not that good This is grade B Then Surya Kumar Yadav Rishabh Pant I am Glad's Rishabh Pant is getting this backing. Many people do not get this but Rishabh Pant is getting it from I am Glad. He is being taken care of. Kuldeep Yadav Akshar Patel Yashasvi Jaiswal. If Kuldeep Yadav is another name then you can see this. Whether a player is playing three formats and has the ability to contribute in all three formats, you have ke
pt that player in Grade B. Hardik Pandya, who plays only one format, becomes a big deal. He is in Grade A. Again - I will not speak again, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been kept in grade B, that is great, Akshar Patel is also there, he has got demotion but what ever, there are many young players in grade C, our Rinku Singh has got the contract, everyone is very happy in the whole country, Tilak Verma. Rituraj Gaikwad Shardul Thakur Shivam Dubey Ravi Bishnoi Jitesh Sharma Washington Sundar Mukesh Kumar S
anju Samson Great Arshdeep Singh KS Bharat Many people are raising questions on this thing, why did they give it to KS Bharat, what are they even playing like this, but it's okay friend, one player. It is a good thing that the famous Krishna Avesh Khan and Rajat Patidar are maintaining the content continuity. Another good thing that BCCI has done is that in all this, fast bowling contracts have been introduced separately for the up and coming fast bowlers. The name in it is Akash Deep, Vijay Kum
ar, Vaishakh, Imran Malik, Yash Dayal and Vidvat Kavir Papa, all these are those players who have either just played India, have played one and a half matches, have started a completely new India career or are on the verge of starting their career and this is a genuine It's a good step because fast bowlers actually need a little more protection in terms of injuries and all and if you are getting this backing from the board, that is a good very very positive step for people who are not in the con
tract list last year. In comparison to him, he is Cheteshwar Pujara, I don't know what is his scope, I hope he is being kept in consideration because he is a guy who is playing domestic after being dropped in domestic, continuously and is doing very well, some average of 75, 78. He scored runs in this entire season, by the way, Shrey S and Ishan Kishan, Umesh Yadav have been removed, Shikhar Dhawan in the contract list, did not play much international cricket last year, otherwise it was obvious
that Deepak Hooda is another name, which was a little bit last year. Till now things were very much in the scheme of things but in the last one year the drop off has been quite high. I hope he comes back. I hope good performances come from him again and Chahal. We talked about them. According to you, these are the big decisions that have been taken . To what extent are they fair and what are the different rules that are being seen for different players, are they actually sustainable in the long
term and will they not set a very bad example? Do tell in the comments below if you liked the video. So please press the like button so that
