- [Director] You guys set? - [Crewman] Set - [Director] Ready and action. - We're out here for a little film we're shooting on the FX 30. It's a story of the young coming up under a master, under the sensei, under this teacher. You know, it's a very simple story, but I think it's gonna be a really beautiful story. Out here in Malibu. Action! We want to paint this peaceful picture of her reflecting back on the master, the sensei. Yeah, it's cool. We got the FX 30, first time it's been out in the
wild. We're gonna put this thing to a test here And....stop. And action, action. We're at the forge. We got to film a katana being built from billet metal. It takes a little commitment in there, super hot, but it looks really good. Shocked already at what we're getting on this camera. I mean, it looks amazing and it has the same general color signs as the Venice, or the FX 6 or the FX 9. It feels like a new member to the family. We're here at the LA arboretum. We are getting ready for a fight sc
ene in the bamboo. We got cranes, we got overhead lights. LiteGear supplied us with this huge array of overheads. We got 40 lanterns. So what we're gonna do here is we have this scene where these two oppose each other. They come in through the forest. Can you look over like this and then back? The master comes against the young woman. You assume that they are enemies and then you later find out they aren't. We got one of the best sword fighters in the world. She's amazing. To watch her work is l
ike nothing I've ever seen. I mean, it's just absolutely gorgeous. That's a wrap. So good! To be able to make a film like this on this camera completely blew away my expectations.

@Lintrun

That little camera looks awesome but I have a feeling that with this amount of top tier gear and such a professional crew they could've shot it on Nokia 3210 and it would still look amazing :)

@DreDreDaGroveGod

This is what I like to see. If they can do more videos like this for the FX30, FX3, FX6, I will be super happy.

@DeanReynoldsMedia

OMG Sony FX30 looks sooo amazing! Of course the operator is to be glorified!

@alteredcortexdesign1197

Whilst the short is amazing and I hope to receive my preoder sometime this lifetime, I do wish more people would see this video to realize that the FX30 is not an Arri you can fit into your pocket. The lights alone used on this set roll the price of the camera 15x over. Still, very cool, shows any camera when mixed with professional lighting, set design and passion can create amazing art.

@Javier.v.e

Looks so dope!

@ParamountVisuals

Looks amazing! Crazy how good of a look you can get with such an affordable camera. That being said, I think it would've been more impactful to see how a seasoned filmmaker and director like Curt Morgan would use such an affordable camera with the BUDGET a filmmaker that would buy that camera would look like. Imagine making this film for Sony only using 1k-5k worth of lights and gear. Now that would be super impressive! With this type of a setup and production value that they used, it's hard to make a make something NOT look cinematic.

@IsraelAgyemanPrempeh

Amazing visuals!!

@challengeacceptedcarlo

Wow 🎉 so Amazing This camera is dope man

@pradeepr2044

Mind blowing 💖

@f0t0b0y

I love that the cinema lens and rig together is probably 30x the price of the FX30. 🤣

@samirmaity9433

Best camera in this price range for better cinematic video for new creators

@A.H.M.K.A.

Excellent

@Aafilmsmy

More behind the scenes pleaseeeeeee

@TevfikFikretBakan

FocusPuller using ARRI. Very small detail but I wanted to mention. (1:53)

@gpcharger1

We need more reviews like this, too many “filmmakers” just want to turn on the camera and allow it to do all the work. Yes they’re equipment is off the charts but with proper lightly a camera like this can shine. Everyone uses the low light excuse. You must not be planning your shots, how many major films are shot on super 35? Arri Alexa, Red etc

@shahintorah

Which codec yu choose to shoot this xavc s i 4k or xavc s ...can u please teme ....nd what lens yu have used

@MasterA2042

That was the FX30? That came out amazing.

@SoCalFreelance

That's an insane amount of production for the lil FX30 😂 I suppose it's something for college and high school shooters to aspire towards.

@danielchristie8045

I'd love to see some details on the rigs they used when running this camera hand held.
