ban with hundreds of thousands of sports fans traveling to Detroit this Spring metro airport is making some upgrades and that includes a new shuttle service to Ferry Travelers between DTW and downtown Detroit 7 Action News reporter Kimberly Craig took the new shuttle from downtown to the airport today and brings us along for the ride so we heard all about this non-stop coach that goes from downtown Detroit all the way to the airport so we figured we'll give it a try so off we go to Detroit a bre
ast or Dax for short you'll find the coach park near the corner of Washington and State Street in downtown Detroit not far from the Rosa Parks Transit Center oo nice and on board is where we met the Gladstone family mom dad JD and Zeke heading to the airport for a trip to Florida we checked the parking lots at the airport and a lot of them were full and we knew that this was starting today so we knew we had another option definitely cheaper than lifting all the way to the airport if there are se
ats available you can buy your ticket at the bus for $8 but it's just six bucks if you purchase online kids and seniors are just $4 much cheaper than using Uber or Lyft and The Gladstones get to avoid the hassle of parking at the airport there's ample space we can get everybody on here easy and it's kid approved I love it but and look they have outlets for real juice you know there's International Travelers that are like oh yeah I have a layover in Detroit for this many hours and they could take
the bus into town and actually see downtown or something like that if as opposed to just wait around DTW for 6 to 9 hours I like the seating and it's like the biggest bus I've been on so we left downtown Detroit at 11:30 promptly and we are arriving here at the airport at 11:55 and the Dex driver drops folks off at the mamir terminal or the Evans terminal what did you think of the ride oh smooth I mean we had one that almost fell asleep because of how nice it was yeah it was great Dax is run by
the regional transit authority and they expect frequent writers will appreciate their pass books There's an opportunity to purchase multiple passes which boils down to about $2 per pass and at the airport Dax picked up Riders looking to head to downtown Detroit like Conrad Martinez who just flew in from Florida I looked it up online and I was looking for affordable ways to get to uh downtown because I wanted to see the city a bit before I went to Pontiac and uh it came up so if you want to find
out more about daak schedules and bookings just go to our website at wxyz.com and we'll have a link to all of that in Detroit Kimberly Craig 7 Action News

Don't worry Uber and Lyft drivers you are still needed. Quick and personal service. Plus you can add a stop if you need to something you can do with the bus service

Non-stop? You know how many accidents are on I-94? On an average week....snarling traffic, plus rush hour traffic. Construction....Yep. This will eventually cause problems.

Why can’t New York give citizens less expensive Uber service. I used to take Uber 2 3 times a week. But Uber became to expensive.
