Carl's Car Wash

(upbeat music) (alarm blares) (upbeat music) (sirens blare) (upbeat music) - "Carl's Rescue Crew." (birds chirping) - Another beautiful morning out here in Roadside City. Now, to gather up all the recycling. Huh? No recycling today? Well, better head to the next house, then. None here. None here either. Did everyone forget to put out their recycling? Maybe I'll have better luck on the next street. - (yawns) Ah, nothing like a morning coffee to get the day in full swing. Nice and relaxed. Got my
morning paper right here. Oh, bogey! It's recycling day! Don't leave! I've got plenty of recycling! Cans, clear plastic bottles, cardboard boxes that are only slightly crumpled! I can't hang on to this recycling for a whole nother week. I don't have the space in the garage, what with my golf clubs and golf carts and golf balls and garbage bin. Hmm, seeing as the garbage truck hasn't arrived yet. I know I'm not supposed to mix recyclables with the garbage but it won't hurt if I'm the only one doi
ng it. (upbeat music) - Come on. You can lift it. (grunts) Huh? My truck is full already? But it's only been a few streets! I better get this load to the dump (upbeat music) - Morning, Gus. - Are you full too? - Yep. Garbage bins are extra full this week, I tell you what. - Hmm? That doesn't sound good. A plastic bottle? What the? (gasps) There's recycling mixed in with this garbage! (garbage pile rumbles) (suspenseful music) There's no time to waste. I have to call Carl's Rescue Crew. (upbeat m
usic) - And this goes in the garbage bin. And that goes in the recycling bin. Phew, I feel like I've bin sorting these all morning. (Carl laughs) (alarm blares) - Huh? An emergency! This'll have to wait. What's all the fuss, Gus? - We've got trash troubles, Carl. Everyone's been mixing their recycling into their garbage instead of putting it out for Rachel to collect in her recycle truck. And you can see the results. A trash volcano. - Oh no! Are you able to sort the recycling out? - We're doing
our best, but if too much more recycling ends up in this trash volcano, it's going to blow. - Leave it to us, Gus! Carl's Rescue Crew is not going to let that happen. A trash volcano has appeared because people keep mixing their recyclables into their garbage. And if we don't stop the trash volcano from growing, it'll erupt! For this mission we'll need Ace and his awesome airplane. (upbeat music) (plane zooms) - Wahoo! No time for any more loop-de-loops. Ace is on the case. (plane zooms) - [Car
l] Bolton and his bombastic bulldozer. (watch beeping) - Carl's Rescue Crew needs me? I shall bulldoze over there pronto. - And finally . . . Tracy and her tractor? But she's a farmer. Well, if you say so. (laughs) - Ah, what a corn-full morning, aye, Rusty? (Rusty clucks) (watch beeping) (gasps) What's this? Carl needs me on the Rescue Crew? I better get going. Say, Rusty, you always wanted to visit the big city, right? (Rusty clucks) (upbeat music) - [Ace] Ace, circling in position. - Bolton i
n position. - Tracy and Rusty in position. (Rusty clucks) - All right, Rescue Crew. Our mission is to make sure the trash volcano doesn't erupt. And remember, safety first. - [Group] Safety first! - [Ace] Looks like folks are still topping off their garbage with recyclables. - We need to get a message out to all of them and fast. But how can we do that? - I just so happen to have a way. Sky writing! Please don't mix recycling and trash. Hey! Everyone! Look up here! Read this important message! -
Oh no, the skywriting just isn't working. We'll have to try something else. Tracy, do you have any ideas? - Well, I've got the coop set up. Now I just need to connect the speakers. - Ah, okay. I'm not sure that'll really help this situation. Ah, I'll get back to you, Tracy. Bolton, how are things looking at the garbage dump? - Not good, Carl. The waste collection team are doing their best to pluck the recycling out, but with each truck's return, the greater the volcano's instability. I don't kn
ow how much longer it will hold. - If just one more person puts recycling into the garbage, that volcano's going to blow! (upbeat music) (suspenseful music) (garbage truck beeping) - All right, people, this is the final truck of the day. Phew. - Whoa! (dramatic music) - Mission failure? This has never happened before. - Don't blame yourself, Carl. It's time we got to the source of this problem. (plane zooming) (people chattering) All right, people, enough is enough. Mixing your recycling with yo
ur garbage has to stop. Just look at this mess! - We're sorry. - We're sorry. - So sorry. - Terribly sorry. - [Citizen] It won't happen again. - That's what you all said last week and the week before that and the week before that. - If I can speak on behalf of the towns folk, the problem is that it's just too darn hard to wake up early to put out the recycling. - Couldn't you put it out the night before? - Well, we would, but then the raccoons would get into it. (raccoon chitters) - (sighs) Does
anyone have any other ideas? - I reckon I do. What you folks need to do is practice waking up earlier so you can get those recycle bins out before Rachel arrives. - But how can we do that? - Oh, I reckon you'll do just fine, with a little help. (Rusty clucks) - [Carl] One week later. (Rusty crows) - What the? Oh, that's right. The recycling. Maybe I'll make it in time this week. - Morning, Garry! - Oh, morning. - Good morning, Garry. It's nice to see everyone out bright and early. - Yeah, I'm s
urprised to be awake myself. It must be that rooster's cock-a-doodle-dooing. - See you next week, Garry. - [Carl] Any trash troubles today, Gus? - Nope. No volcano in sight, Carl. - Glad to hear it. Mission complete! Well done, Rescue Crew. Now to clean up my own mess. For three! Wait, I meant to put that in the recycling! Ah! Oh no! (upbeat music) - [Child] Woo!
