Brazil: Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceraá

My best greetings to everyone there! I'm Professor Gutenberg Albuquerque, I'm the international relation adviser for the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceara, in Brazil. We are member of our network of 41 institutions, with 470 campuses and about half a million students spread all over the country. In the state of Ceara we have 23 campuses and we're just about to build six more campuses and three other units so more than 30 campuses altogether. I have met Mr. José Luis

Fernandez some time ago and the we have been building some kind of cooperation together and we've been dealing with how to establish a cooperation agreement and develop some applied research among our researchers from Tknika and the Federal Institute of Technology Ceara (IFCE). We are sure we can develop several kinds of applied research projects based on our more than 100 research groups we have at this institute. The Federal Institute of Ceara provides secondary technical education, post-seco

ndary technological courses, bachelor's degrees in several fields of of engineering, and we also do teacher training in sciences. We prepare young teachers to teach math, physics, chemistry, and biology. We are more than a hundred years old and we do hope we can build stronger ties with Spanish institutions in the Basque Country and elsewhere. Thank you for your kind attention. Bye!
