#BULLILOVEstories 🇩🇪🚐❤️ A family affair: The 40th MaiKäferTreffen in Hanover

🐞 The #MaiKäferTreffen is legendary – and this year it celebrated its 40th anniversary! For many VW fans, the date in Hanover is the opener of the season. Not only VW Beetles of all generations gather there, but also an ever-increasing number of Bullis. This also goes for Marco with his spectacularly pimped T3, which is especially appealing to Christian. A 19,000-watt music system is installed in the bus, turning it into a rolling disco and mega attraction for all visitors. 🔊🎶 The festival is also famous for its huge spare parts market, where fans and mechanics can find everything they need for their mobile treasures. Take a look at what there is to see at this amazing happening! #vwbus #VWCamper #vwbuslove #VWBusFestival2023 #VWBulli #bulli #bullilove #vanlife #VWCommercialVehicles #VWCV #VWN #Volkswagen #VW #vwidbuzz #idbuzz #VWT1 #VWT2 #VWT3 #VWBeetle #VWKäfer #VWNoldtimer #maikäfertreffenhannover #aircooled #aircooledvw #vwaircooled ---------- More information about Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles: --- http://www.volkswagen-nutzfahrzeuge.de --- https://www.facebook.com/VolkswagenNutzfahrzeuge --- https://www.facebook.com/DerVWAmarok --- https://www.instagram.com/volkswagen_journey/ --- https://www.linkedin.com/company/volkswagen-commercial-vehicles-/ --- hhttps://twitter.com/VWCV_news

Hello and welcome to a new episode of the Bulli Love Stories! Today, I’m taking you with me to the MaiKäferTreffen in Hanover. In the beginning, there were only air-cooled Beetles here. But by now, many VW buses have joined and even water-cooled T3s are tolerated. There is a small event on the eve of the actual show. I’ll take you there now. Let’s see what’s happening. To many VW bus fans, the MaiKäferTreffen marks the beginning of the season. They dig out treasures from their barns and garages
and I am perennially overwhelmed by the diversity of these vehicles. And there is one car that I am particularly interested in: Marco’s bus. Let’s take a look at it! The obvious feature of this vehicle is the crazy roof. Let’s see if Marco is at home. Hey, buddy! How is it going? Very well. Good to see you. You found a nice place. Best place. The weather is great. Yeah, we got lucky on that. It’s fantastic. How did you find this car? I bought it while sitting at a campfire, for 350 euros. No wa
y! Yeah, we were just sitting there, a little drunk. I was really just looking for a winter car and ended up buying this on. 350 euros, at a time when no one wanted a T3. At first, I didn’t appreciate what a treasure I had found. Did you know about the roof? How many of these cars are out there? This is one of 40 Weinsberg Terra models built. And I didn’t realize it until I attended my first meet-up and opened the roof. People accumulated around the car and looked at me as if I had just landed
with my spaceship. The finish is a deck finish used by the German Navy. It’s non-slip. I’ve always wanted a car with flames on it, since I was a little kid. And I thought, this was the perfect opportunity. And so, I put flames on it. And suddenly, the model car had become life-size. I finally had the big one, yes. This car is called "Crazy 13". The sound system delivers 19,000 watts. Three zeros? That's right. The system alone weighs about 700 kilos and it’s actually made for entertaining people
at parties. So, it’s a disco on wheels. Exactly. So, when I come back later, this place will have turned into a disco with lights and everything. You’ll see it for yourself. This is a collection of many parts. The latest one has to do with the steering wheel. I had always wanted a race car steering wheel. This one here came from a Porsche GT3, including the hub and the mount. And this is one of the last parts that went into the car. The winch looks pretty solid. Have you ever needed it? Yeah,
one time I got stuck in the mud at a party in a small town. I used the winch to get back out. I would call this thing a work of art. Thank you! When you drive it on the motorway, people slow down for you and wave. The car makes them really happy and they take photos. It’s great. Does the hatch open? I’d like to see that. I’ll show you. These are four 15-inch subwoofers, producing 2.500 watts each. When you are around when the music is playing, all you can do is dance. We’ve created a bus stop,
if you want to have a conversation with someone. That thing there? That’s the one. That’s part of your set-up? They are friends of mine, and we hang around there. You just stand there and have a beer. It’s great for talking, while listening to music. And if you want more music, you just get closer to the bus. I’ll try that tonight. But now, I’ll take a tour of the grounds to see who else is here. I’ll see you later. Have fun! Thanks! Look who I ran into! It’s Carsten from our Bulli Love Stories
episode in Denmark. Carsten, it’s good to see you. What did you bring to the MaiKäferTreffen? I brought my 59 Beetle. This black one here. Of course, it’s a Beetle meet-up, so I brought the 59. But for the VW bus meeting in June, I will bring Bertha, of course. Oh really? Yes. We look forward to seeing you and Bertha at the meeting. There, we will also show the Bulli Love Stories movie. I’ll see you later and have a nice day. Thanks. We are just having fun here. You can see for yourself what’
s going on. We have smoke and we have lights. We have good things to drink and we’re having a great time. Fantastic. Will you come to Hanover and will you do the same there? Of course, we are coming to Hanover and we’re bringing a surprise. It’s going to be great, I promise. Have a good time! What a great party. And tomorrow morning, we will all be moving on. The Maikäfer meet-up is famous for its spare parts market. There, you can find anything and everything. Old things, new things. Everythin
g connected to the bus and the Beetle. Devotional objects from a trip through time. There, you will find what you’re looking for. Now, we are talking to Tobias Twele from Volkswagen commercial vehicles, vintage car division. Tobias, I didn’t expect to see you here today. What made you decide to come? The Maikäfer meet-up takes place in Hanover and Hanover is the city of VW vans. So, of course, we had to be here. What cars did you bring? We brought our most powerful ones: the T1, T2 and T3. Alt
hough, it’s not really a T3, but the legendary B32, made by Porsche. Then there is the T2 Rat and the T1 in Chestnut Brown Metallic – our latest model. This fairground in Hanover will be the site of the big VW bus festival. What can people look forward to? Lots of vehicles and stories. Lots of emotions and excitement. I would love to make an episode of the Bulli Love Story at your site. Could I come for a visit? We are really busy, preparing for the VW bus festival, but hey, just come on by. Ev
erybody is looking forward to the meet-up. So are we. And now, I will continue my tour of the grounds. Don’t worry. The owner allowed me to open his door. There are some really cool details in here. He seems to be a passionate cyclist. The window cranks are made from bike clickpedals. And he seems to be lazy when it comes to shifting gears. He favors short notches. Hence, the sporty gear shifter. And that brings us to the end of the Bulli Love Story from the Maikäfer meet-up with lots of vans a
nd Beetles. For more Bulli love, tune in to our next episode.

Wenn ich unsere tollen Fahrzeuge sehe bekomme ich immer wieder ein Lächeln ins Gesicht! Nach über 45 Jahren Stöcken kenne ich sie alle. Liebe Grüße Carsten
