We are in the beautiful desert in Morocco
in Marrakech and we're riding a camel. Oh yeah! In this week's episode we are traveling to
Morocco, a country in North Africa, to have a fun adventure in the desert and learn about
an incredible animal called a camel. Camels found in the vast deserts of the Middle
East and Central Asia are famous for their distinctive humpback [Music] They are known
as the "ships of the desert" as they have an amazing ability to adapt and survive the
harsh environment of
the desert. Camels play a very important part in human
history as for thousands of years they have helped humans to thrive, explore and expand. They were one of the first modes of transport
in the desert regions as they used to transport people and goods across different countries
and continents [Music] We are now heading to the Agafay desert where we will go camel
riding and have a chance to gaze at the desert dunes [Music] Thank you! This is cool, I like this. We are now going to wear a tradi
tional Moroccan
scarf that will protect us from the Sandy Desert Winds. [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] hi my friend [Music] [Music] Not
a cloud in the sky. It's crazy. Cool Camels are famous for their hump on their
back. These humps are not filled with water like
some people think but they actually store fat. This fat serves as a source of energy for
the camel when food and water are scarce. Camels have this amazing ability to tolerate
extreme heat and can travel long distances
with little food or water. They can actually survive several days without
drinking. This made it possible for humans to travel
through the harsh desert so they could trade and explore the world. Mom we're going to try and spot the little
snake. Okay keep your eyes out for a little snake. You look up our other side. I'll look on this side. Tell me if you see one. This is fun but my thighs are hurting so much. Mine aren't for some reason [Music] [Applause] Thank you. Camels have these large wide
padded feet with
tough skin almost like built-in sandals that helps them to walk on sand without sinking
in. [Music] Good job camel [Music] Camels can even find their way through sandstorms
as they have these super cool transparent third eyelids that protects their eyes from
blowing sand and dust in the desert. [Music] They are truly remarkable creatures
