resno is going to go to the line up to uh here Wyoming was four and a half Point favorites here coach uh in this one you know so look these are two of the the bottom teams in the Mountain West but uh hell of a first game of the day uh out there in Vegas between those two teams you know sometimes when you don't have a lot to play for a Carver High you you you when your backs are against the wall you just go for it a Fresno State team that was last place in in the mount West backs are against the

hange a little bit a little bit for teams that haven't played yet Coach they probably won't change at all such as with the ACC you know those numbers for North Carolina and Duke uh you know and Virginia you know they're probably not going to move too much dependent upon who they're are playing tomorrow but there it is coach I mean you went see and Duke 160 and 175 everyone else 10 to one or longer in this ACC tournament and I have seen coach a lot of people uh trying to sell me on Clemson uh at
10 to one as potentially the team that's going to come out of this thing oh it's a possibility you know listen they were ranked earlier on in the year really quick one reason why I would say people maybe look at USC still nine of 13 that's what Washington is shooting in the first half from three as a coach you're like let them go shoot let them go shoot at the second half and they can have the game that ain't happening that's why I think USC makes a comeback but in regards to the ACC yeah really
popular pick uh with Clemson why folks I think if I'm not mistaken if they win tonight they have to go through Virginia who can't score like literally can't score in a packline defense team they could get you could find a way to make a run to me I like the team it's playing right now I think Wake Forest is a dangerous team they could score the ball 10 to one decent odds they get P today they got the 4 five game then they got to go through Carolina that that's a high octane high octane game wher
e a Steve Forbes team could have enough offensively to get an upset but for this I I I Caroline I understand I'm not big on Duke I think they're way too inconsistent at the guard spot I know roach and mlan are tough but they one of them seems to go south in big moments I don't trust Duke one bit to win the ACC I don't trust them either coach um it's you know look if I was going to take a stab with one of those teams it's clearly going to be someone on the bottom of the bracket a Clemson of Virgi

en everyone else very deep uh down the line coach well one thing you've noticed folks is Villanova's odds are shrinking why is that Ty Kik is out tomorrow that that's big news for Marquette that's why they're odds are going this way and Villanova is coming up because I do think Villanova folks is gonna need two wins to get in the NCAA tournament if they don't beat the Paul they're gonna leave Kyle nepton in MSG he'll have to take a uber back to Philadelphia so I think they get that win there and

strong field event you know Pebble Beach not field event um so much anymore used to be one of the Marquee events on tour and was a marquee event on tour when Nick Taylor won and I mean like really look down the list of guys you think who could possibly win bet MGM is hanging a 150 to one on Luke list to win this event I mean I I has there ever been a week where I have not bet luk list to win a golf tournament if he's in the field like I I really I really don't remember if there ever has been one
the very bottom of this field like literally the bottom of this field guys who are listed at 750 to1 at the Players Championship are guys who have won on the European tour right David skins Callum Taran Nick Nick Dunlap a winner on the PGA tour this year not even not even talking ancient history like this is an awesome event with a lot of good golf it certainly is uh let's get to a few things from the NFL today because I actually haven't gotten to bring anything up uh that's gone on the Le new
league year now is officially uh begun at 4 pm East so now you're you know people get confused Davis now is when you're going to start seeing all the teams doing the we announced this signing we announced that signing everything we've talked about for the last two days finally becomes official there was a few things that have happened since me and you last talk the Chargers had to get out from a lot of money uh before four o'clock they had a lot of high price guys on their cap so the guy who uh
the sword fell on was Mike Williams who I think it was like maybe 20 A5 million they got off by releasing him you know it's it's an intriguing name Davis the problem is of course he never plays which matters uh you need somebody who you can rely on and is going to be out there every week and Mike Williams isn't really that guy but he's super talented and couldn't you just see Mike Williams showing up in like Kansas City for some bottom basement deal uh and having some huge year with Patrick Maho
mes I could see it well I mean I think probably what's going to happen is I don't think he's actually going to go to the Chiefs I think that um they probably would rather roll out Justin Watson on $800,000 a year like I I actually think Mike Williams is gonna get a reasonable amount of money here now that he has been released in the new league year because just look around at the wide receiver Market my my expectation is that Calvin Ridley is probably going to return to the Jacksonville Jaguars
at this point for a ton of money I think had I think if if Calvin Ridley was going to move on we would have gotten it in that pre tampering window I I kind of think what's been going on is his agent has been like look we'll stay so that you guys can save the second round pick but the Patriots are going to give us real money you got to give us more money than the Patriots are going to give us or or the Bears are going to give us or whoever there's still plenty of teams that could use a wide recei
ver of even like late stage Mike Williams just a guy who can kind of go up and get it I I don't know if like a a a less separation wide receiver is is really the Chiefs type of thing I I actually Wonder if the Buffalo Bills your Buffalo Bills Carver might be one of the teams that are fairly interested in adding him I I don't know what their their cap situation is not great but they clearly have a big need at boundary wide receiver they have a I I would take anybody uh right now uh there because
that they really you know they they've lost Gabe Davis so far you know they brought in I mean Matt Collins I mean that doesn't that doesn't really move the needle for me Davis personally uh so they need to do whether it's something like that or as I mentioned to you a couple weeks ago um maybe bean bean is planning on moving up in this draft and getting one of those four or five guys at the top obviously can probably get high enough for Harrison but maybe he can get high enough for neighbors or
adun or or what Thomas one of these other guys uh in that range because they they need to do something on the other side of Stefan Diggs they need to add more play makers to that offense uh speaking of adding Playmakers uh the Carolina Panthers add one for Bryce young he was very short on Playmakers this past year in his rookie season adding Deontay Johnson to the mix should help him out a little bit Davis I mean it definitely it definitely should help him out a little bit compared to some of th
e guys that were playing for them last year you know it's we're we're asking a lot less of Jonathan Mingo and Amir Smith marett and and DJ shark at this point I I guess my my concern is you know Deontay Johnson is definitely one of those guys where his reputation outpaces how good he's been at as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers I mean no guy loves to catch the ball and immediately run backwards more than Deontay Johnson it's it's like his favorite thing to do I I got a crazy stat on on Deont
ay Johnson actually since they started tracking targets which I think was 19 1986 there's been 164 players who've registered 600 targets or more which actually I thought was a very low number I thought it would be like 500 guys or whatever but deontre Johnson ranks 158 out of 164 in terms of yards per Target amongst all those players and obviously he's had like legitimately horrible quarterback play in Pittsburgh so it's it's not all on him but I mean I I think this reporting about the Panthers
being interested in t Higgins and trading multiple picks to get him and then using David teer money to just give him a huge signing bonus honestly I I if they did that I I would maybe start to buy the Bryce young Resurgence a little bit because then you have you have Deontay Johnson for almost nothing theen to man the slot T Higgins like I think you are giving Bryce young a Fighting Chance at that spot you certainly are and since you brought up T Higgins I I wasn't going to bring but you made me
remember it I saw this story this morning where I guess well they have Tyler eer running around saying that he thinks that Justin Jefferson is going to go to the Bengals and reunite with Joe burrow and and and Jamar Chase Davis let's just say this here the Bengals can't afford to keep T Higgins with Jamar Chase and Joe burrow please explain to me how they would be able to afford to keep just to have Justin Jefferson with Jamar Chase and and Joe burrow it's just it's one of those rumors that com
es about you get some of these during this week uh that are just kind of out there and that was one for me like I just they can't afford the two best uh two of the three best maybe the two best wide receivers in the NFL you can't do it no they they cannot so right now they could I guess technically they actually could have Justin Jefferson on their roster if they made this they could do it for one year right they could do it for a year but they couldn't even so what's interesting is I I believe
the way the Dead money stuff works is they couldn't even actually offer him the contract extension either because the fifth year option has already been picked up so sure let's say you trade what they have the 18th overall pick and they trade you know I would assume any team acquiring Justin Jefferson you're gonna have to give up more than just one first round pick and you can't even offer him the contract extension until next off season when your cap is already a mess I mean people want obvious
ly the reason people want it to happen is Jefferson Chase and burrow were all college teammates and people are just really rooting for that happening for for whatever reason well I mean we know the reason why but it's just not it's not realistic the far more realistic thing would be for the Bengals to spend that 18th overall pick on Brian Thomas Jr if we if we want to talk about if we want to talk about an LSU wide receiver um hopping in there sure but that's not as exciting Davis and we have to
make sure that we have exciting flashy rumors and names that we throw around uh next we've spent a lot of time complaining about the Yankees here I haven't gotten to do it yet today uh so I waited for you uh to be able to do it so the Cole I guess somewhat diagnosis uh came out today they're going to shut him down he's going to be out for at least a month or two which is a pretty large gap of time uh the MRI show no tear uh for now Davis but this is I've seen some of the Twitter doctors bring t
his up too it's kind of a similar situation as like the Dodgers had with Walker buer a couple years ago at first they thought there was nothing there his arm sat and got you know healed up for a couple of weeks and then what happened when they looked again well there was a tear and I could see that being the similar situation that's going to happen with Cole here I bet he doesn't throw a pitch for the Yankees this year how many times in your life Carver has the following story happened major lea
gue baseball starting pitcher gets hurt has to take an MRI is scheduled to not throw for a month then has to miss a minimum of two months of the Season scheduled to have a follow a followup and reevaluation and then they end up coming back everything's fine armfield's fine conditioning's fine they don't get injured again and no surgery ends up happening off the top of my head I I actually cannot think of one example where a guy got an MRI came back was fine ended up throwing and it totally worke
d out obviously there have been guys where we thought it was going to be the the UCL tear and it was not but come on he he's not pitching this year for the Yankees the only one I could even possibly think of under that scenario was the it was with the Yankees too was Tanaka was Masahiro Tanaka and they thought that he was gonna have it and he actually rested for two months and never got the surgery which is amazing there's no way that lightning would strike the Yankees twice like that uh but the
