[Music] hi horror Gamers let's check back into the cail hotel and see what updates we have in demo 2.2 which includes some big changes Genie interactive games have been hard at work to bring us another look into the development of the upcoming horror game the seaa the Journey Begins in their most recent demo in our previous video we took a first look at this game where we talked about five things we have really enjoyed about this game so far from the first demo which you watch here is anybody in
here the best place to start is the beginning so let's go from there we begin the demo through the familiar First Act we explored in the first demo but I did notice some changes as we played through this second time ranging from the appearance of our first jump scare with Dr zimus changes in the appearance of items as well as slight changes to some of the puzzles and interactions with key objects there's also a secret room where you can pick up a collectible and view the wall of some of the ama
zing content creators who have been supporting this game's Journey so far a big update to the First Act is the introduction of a ghostly new character we hadn't met previously called raven who tells us that she's here to help us find our missing wife Sarah she seems innocent and friendly enough but only time will tell if we can definitely trust her horror movies have taught me to be far too suspicious of anything seemingly cute and innocent these days I think the main character JN captures it pe
rfectly when he says he thinks he's losing his mind Raven is a very curious character and I'm intrigued to find out if we'll learn more about her I really like the updates to the First Act the gameplay feels more streamlined and there's some fantastic new touches to the Aesthetics further improving the overall look of the already stunning hotel that we explored in the first demo perhaps the biggest update in this demo is that we now get to see act two of the story which is fittingly titled unswe
et home in this chapter of the game we explore Jon's home which is a very surreal experience as he attempts to make sense of what he has gone through in the ceil hotel you very much begin to question your sanity and whether everything is as it seems particularly as you navigate further through his home one of the very Niche things I enjoyed as I explored John's home was listening to the radio advert about our very own Pebbles the danger penguin that we mentioned in our previous video about this
game I wish I'd recorded my reaction to listening to this I think we're going to need a real life collectible of this p please Genie overall I've really enjoyed the update to this demo and it's definitely made me more curious about the direction this story is heading towards is I have a lot of questions about what has happened and what is yet to happen I've learned it's very important to pay attention to what the characters have said and to read notes carefully on items you interact with as ther
e are a couple occasions in both acts where it can become very easy to get lost in what you need to do next to progress further I feel like I probably should be making a checklist to remind myself at times I can't wait to see where the story is heading next and I encourage you to head to the steam page to check out the demo for yourself now I'll definitely be looking out for further updates and eagerly awaiting the release date of the full game it's time have you played demo 2.2 yet let us know
