and the baa goes to Christopher Nolan of uh thank you uh this is an incredible honor um being back home getting this from baa in the Festival Hall where my mom and dad used to drag me to to make me have some culture and some of it stuck um it suddenly occurs to me that my younger brother beat me up here by about 40 years not cuz he's yet w b but because he was part of the snowflake chorus and the Nutcracker here many years ago um yeah I have so many people to to thank for this um an incredible c
ast uh led by the Peerless of fearless Killian Murphy thank you Killian and um thank you to to all the others uh an incredible crew uh many have been recognized by baa with nominations tonight so thank you baa for recognizing these the incredible work that that these people did for me um thank you to to Chuck Roven to KY bird and Martin shaan who wrote the book American Prometheus at the film's based on uh to Emma Thomas our incredible producer I love you um and thank you to Universal led by the
incomparable Dame Donna Lang um thank you for uh thank you for letting us all take on something quite dark and seeing the potential in that um and on that note I I do just want to say that our film um ends on what I think is a dramatically necessary uh note of Despair um but in the real world there are all kinds of individuals and organizations who have fought uh long and hard to reduce reduce the number of nuclear weapons in the world and since its peak in 1967 they've they've done it by almos
t 90% of late that's gone the wrong way and so in accepting this I do just want to acknowledge their efforts and point out that um they show the necessity and the potential of efforts for peace um this is an incredible honor and I'm very grateful for it thank you

Christopher Nolan sweeping the season. I love this for him. It’s about damn time. I’m so glad it’s for Oppenheimer because the film just blew me away. It’s a masterpiece! 👏 👏

@TANITANGENT

He won his 1st Golden Globe, First Critics Choice, First DGA and now his BAFTA, I cant wait to see him win his first Oscar. Its still crazy to me that before Oppie he had not won any of these.
