a sip of my famous Japanese slipper cocktail and you'll love it one part Midori one part
control the juice from half a lemon and
Shake It Up with ice and for my favorite touch I put a little bit

not to let them mix together so you can get that red on the bottom and the green on the

I finally found that one copy but I was restocking another shelf and I had my arms full and when
I bent over to grab it I spilled the DVDs everywhere laugh
s and uh I said something
corny like okay you get to watch me clean up this feature-length mess now and honestly
looking back it wasn't that funny but you thought it was hilarious and you couldn't
stop laughing it was one of those conversations where you've already laughed so many times
that somehow every little thing becomes funny I told you I'd find it eventually and if not
I'd let you borrow my personal copy well we ended up talking for like half an hour and
we never actually found the DVD an
d you ended up watching something else the next week you
came back to the store and you remembered me and you actually took me up on my offer
we took some popcorn from the store thought maybe I intentionally forgot to pay for and
we watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding on my personal copy you loved it by the way I never
saw anybody laugh that hard in my life actually it was more like you watched My Big Fat Greek
Wedding I was a little distracted I was having a lot more fun watching you and seeing th
e
way that your eyes lit up every time you laughed I started to realize that you were so so much
more beautiful than I knew when I first met you [Laughter] know that look in your eyes you
don't believe me do you that's fine it's okay if you're listening to my wacky story just
to play along I don't think I would believe this either how about this if I can predict

a favor For My Future Self but look the point is is that I can't go back to my old house

really weird for me what's that how did I get here uh honestly
it was just a normal day in 2023 I was out for a walk and you were staying home because

eird like Distortion in the air and I thought I should record a
video with my phone yeah cell phones are pretty good video cameras in the future just trust
me anyway I realized that I left my phone at home and I did this stupid thing and touched
the Distortion with my bare hands and then suddenly whoosh I was in the past in my old
body in my old Hometown totally naked in the middle of the night yeah it didn't take me
long to realize where I was or more precisely when I was I rushed to my house a
nd took the
basics as fast as I could some clothes a bit of food of water some emergency cash and the
rest I bought with the credit card that I borrowed I guess that means I have until my next credit
card statement comes in the mail before my past self realizes that he's been robbed I didn't rob anyone who is my Victim I was
taking from my own self he is literally me that's my stuff then why do I think that kissing the current
you would count as cheating on the future you um because you look lik
e my wife but I
don't love you I love the woman that you become does that make sense besides you haven't even
met 2002 me yet our relationship doesn't even exist from that point of view so no I am going
to stay loyal to the Future you and try and find a way back to my time it's complicated
okay look there isn't exactly A playbook for being shot backwards into your own past so
I just want to play it safe and not do anything that I might regret okay so I just have a
couple of rules rule number one
is I won't talk to my past self rule number two is I
will not cheat on my future wife other than that I'm just gonna take it easy why am I

now it's been a really really crazy day for me you know a time Vortex took me away from
my wife so you know I kind of want to rest all right you want to know about your future okay I'll

up and move somewhere else or keep our little lives that were going nowhere so I had a bunch
of classic Nintendo games and old comics in their original packaging they weren't worth
very much money when I was a kid but they're worth a lot now on eBay we sold them all and
we also sold both of our cars and we put all the money that we had into this big red Plymouth
van and we
just drove West until we hit the coast we got jobs at I kid you not an open
water fish farm out in the ocean we started taking a boat out to work every day from then
on it was such a huge change but it all worked out for us yeah I know it sounds like a lot
but it'll all happen exactly when it has to you'll get it when the time comes right now you you just you know live your
life you don't have to worry about the future um I love you I ah I mean wait forget what I

to enter it as quickly as you can we don't know if our enemies have tracked us down to
this point in time or not so we cannot afford to wait for the next time the Distortion Zone
opens uh who exactly are these enemies anyway Killers who have technology just as adva
nced

to stay warm was to get close together kind of the way we are now and we just

all the only light source you have is intermittent bursts of photons merging in from different
points in time Rays from the Sun can't really reach the distortions on just stay focused do you see anything else anything let's say

to deal with these variables like I said by being prepared for anything the two of you
have already proven to be quite proficient in improvising on their unpredictable circumstances
can I at least know something about the enemy ah they are a secretive but powerful Coalition
known as ground zero but they have time travel and are highly
invested in not altering the
course of history what is the course of history then can I trust you not to divulge you can
42 years from now a shadowy organization and test the collapse of all Global governments
by instigating a nuclear war I know this because I used to work for them what I had been conducting
Research into space-time transposition for quite some time ever since it knew that I
was a student at my University the past or rather present versions of ourselves are actually
starting ou
r research in this time period right now it wasn't until I received funding
from Ground Zero that I was able to complete my life's work the funding they gave me allowed
Sydney and I to find the time crystals they called my time machine the backup plan in
case their plans backfired well did they no their plans went perfectly and Ground Zero
was able to take advantage of the weekend state of Google institutions to completely
take over and create a worldwide system of control they were ready to dis
pose of me and
Sydney because we were no longer needed and they had to ensure that no one went back in
time to stop them it was me who told them I'm a cybernetically enhanced veteran of World
War III I worked for them and didn't even know I was taking orders from the bad guys
until it was too late my job was to kill Lucinda and Sydney after they completed the time machine
but I defected now we're here trying to clean up the mess we all helped make Ground Zero
has all my time machine schematics i
f they at any point in the future manage to find
their own time crystals they are absolutely certain to come here after us they have enormous
numbers on their side their agents could be anyone anywhere that's why I advise that you
take the utmost caution I think I'm starting to understand here take this the location a second Distortion Zone and

even with all their Advanced science they can create something that defies on logic

we saw an indestructible monster with four arms I'm just thinking what if the time machine
is really Advanced science but the crystals themselves
are magical what if my body like

escaped audios has got to be one of the most underrated beauties ive ever seen

Just finished watching the entire thing and it was so heartwarming and sad at the end of this, amazing job Escaped Audios definitely one of my new favourites
This series is so under rated and amazing I swear, a million people need to see it.
You know I can't get over this one idea that's been playing in my head since I've finished this series. But am I the only who thinks it would've been cool if while trying to escape the bad guys. Benji and the listener ended up back in the distortion zone, where while almost being captured an anomaly appeared and saved them. Fighting off the bad guys and giving the two time to escape, but not before Benji realizes it's his wife from his present time. Anyways, I absolutely love this series and am definitely gonna binge watch it.
Low key feels like a season two could be made. Maybe when 2023 comes around listener opens up about what happened in the past and Benji as he thinks we've gone crazy with the story we're telling knows we're telling the truth because of a look we have in our eye. And perhaps as we're talking about it a distortion appears and we grow stunned and silent but we immediately grab his hand and maybe against better judgment we go in? Idk... totally up the you but it feels like there's a huge potential for a season two, I'm just not entirely sure about the plot maybe there were new time crystals made or something or other I'm not sure I started crying when Benji sacrificed himself and forgot most of what happened at the beginning
