Rowan didnt hide his shouts because he thought those were noise cancelling glasses.
That's nice of Rowan the Therapist to let his clients play horror games in his office
*FOOTAGE PROVIDED BY META QUEST might be the most scary thing about this entire clip
Nothing better than seeing Rowan get some karma thrown at him!
He's not scared of the game, he's just acknowledging the amount of data he is giving to Meta for this experience. That's the scary part!
a VR world is cool, but a VR world controlled by Facebook is an actual horror game.
Should let Ellie play, she owns VR games.
Rowan is a different breed. He wasn't scared at all. The screams are in fact his battle cry. Dude is an alpha male, that's all. 😉
Look at Rowan asserting his dominance with the manly screaming and...then crying into the fetal position XD
rowan following his own rules of only crying in the bathroom, a dude who practices what he preaches, playtech boss of the year.
Man, Rowan went though all 3 areas of the game in a matter of seconds in random order. What a pro.
I've fallen in love with VLDL over the years, but I'm hoping this Meta sponsorship isn't a sign of things to come.
Anyone who says Rowan got scared is definitely getting a paycut
Alans reaction basically mirrors my first experience with A-Tech Cybernetic. Like it's fucking scary at first but then something clicks and you feel like you're the Doomslayer and you start doing shit like letting enemies get close so you can tilt your arm in a way where the barrel of your shotgun is right under their shin before shooting. And you also get into the idea of killing the cyborg zombies slowly rather than efficiently and you start shooting their legs and shit so you get to watch them crawl. Getting over your fear and turning into a killing machine in VR is pretty great experience. One thing I'll say though is that I got into VR gaming about a year too early, the old vive controllers are just a pain in the ass to use.
You great guys should not degrade yourselves making ads for these ... nice people from Meta ;)
Respect for Rowan playing the arse all the time and giving us that pleasent "he is dump and the others were right" feeling!
Probably would've passed on Meta as a sponsor.
2:13 - so scary it knocked Rowan's socks off!
The smile on Alan's face is priceless, he's enjoying it so mutch
The thing with BEING in VR and WATCHING VR is a whole different world. Footage of VR just doesn't capture the detail you get, such as depth perception. Where as everything in footage looks just like an ordinary game, in VR you can tell how far away something is from other objects. And then there's phantom touch. Oh boy that's a whole different kettle of fish....
