Could Jujutsu Kaisen Ever SURPASS Naruto?

Naruto is one of the greatest shown in anime of all time with no worthy predecessor to its name it seemed like we were going to be stuck with poor Inspirations and copycats of Naruto until the all powerful jiujitsu Kaizen came out and instilled hope in all of us leaving somewhere for Naruto fans to go and enjoy an anime that's like their favorite but a little bit different but is it ready yet how does it fair to the Titan that is Naruto and how can it surpass what came before well let's start th

is anime debate and see how J just kaen fares against Naruto because jiujitsu kaisen has a lot more Nuance to it than it may seem at the surface level and really pulls from all of the big three not just Naruto and really learns the lessons of the failures of the big three and takes some of their best qualities like no filler from Naruto no slow pacing from one piece and not as redundant as bleaches now comparing the story of Naruto and jitu kazin it may seem like Naruto clears because season 2 h

as a loose story to say the least I don't think anyone's complaining that things are happening so fast but there's an over stimulation to the point of not fully processing what's going on but season 1 is a completely different pace and especially jjk Z which really tells a complete narrative but that's also very different but in shibba it seemed like they decided to take the gloves off and by they I mean gay and that traditional shownin anime story where it seemed like itadori was going to slowl

y get all the fingers and progressively get stronger they were like nah Joo slam 15 fingers in iori's mouth was like eat up boy that whole itadori getting stronger thing we're just going to cut all that [ __ ] we may even take away his main character status they really offered bro a trade they were like do you want to keep your status as main character well we're going to give you the worst oppression you've ever felt in your life whereas in Naruto everything is slowly built up from Naruto becom

ing a geni to the Land of Waves to cheun and exam Tsunade Arc all the way up till the final battle you can clearly track the progression of the characters and the narrative as a whole that is pretty complicated at times now things like characters and Power Systems are an entire different section of this video but just looking at The Narrative of Naruto I I don't think any story moment in jjk is as well thought out as some of the moments in Naruto like the pain evasion or even the Land of Waves a

nd the traan exams these moments flushed out the world and had twists and turns that no one expected as well as moments that hit whereas in jiujitsu kaisen the narrative is there but the reason you stay and hold interest is through the fights and I think to further explain this thought if you talk to any casual anime fan and hey if you're watching a YouTube video on anime you're not a casual fan I'm sorry but talk to any casual anime fan about jjk and ask them what they think at the story they'r

e going to say I don't know what the [ __ ] going on but hey this [ __ ] is so [ __ ] hype but who's the main villain by the way not to mention the thousands of repeated real asking what is going on in the story but like I said zero and season 1 are a lot more cohesive because you actually know what's going on without having to think too much the story is a natural progression with Stakes that matter like Yugi dying and coming back the Jee fight a lot of the narratives going on in those moments

can stand against a lot of Naruto moments but even those don't compare to the peak of the Nar Naruto narrative despite what you may think of the ending you can't dispute the fact that Naruto had a pretty great story for a large portion of its run now jjk seems to be morphing more into bleach and one piece I'll talk about this more later on especially in the fight section but the emphasis on fights telling the story has resulted in a shift of the why factor in jjk why we watch it and why we enjoy

it it's no longer for the same reasons as it was in season 1 and even in reading the manga they seemingly double down and I don't think with its conclusion we're ever going to get to see jjk compare with the stories of most an it's sort of like gay was writing the story got bored and was like [ __ ] it you're dead you have all the fingers Gojo piss off so I can write the story how I want which is fine but it makes it so that the story pales in comparison to Naruto as well as most other anime bu

t what about the fights what did I mean about it becoming more akin to bleach and one piece because shk has a lot of similarities to Naruto yugs auna Mega Mis Sasuke no useful Sakura at surface level this has got to be like Naruto and you're kind of right look obviously from a design perspective and basic input they are the same but when you actually look at how they're used it's hard to not say it's more akin to bleach and one piece characters are given individual goals but their actual nature

rarely ever changes and besides Yugi none of them have put in challenging situations in terms of their character they are obviously put in situations in terms of their power level in their feet but none of their Characters themes are ever called into question except Gojo also in the beginning of season 2 and in every single jjk debate video I've done I have to mention this but no is introduced to you and you learn more about her in the episode she's about to die than any other point and Megami i

s largely the same as he was when he was first introduced and this isn't to say that they're onedimensional or basic there's reasons why they are the way they are but the story isn't going to marinate in them in any capacity and gay doesn't want to waste any time on that at all because that's not the narrative he's trying to tell whereas in Naruto some of these character arcs span the whole story the likes of Obito is a natural progression that you fully understand him going from a hero to a vil

lain even the likes of pain leak Kashi guy every character has a deep journey to get where they they are not to mention the main three except Sakura so main two because Sakura doesn't do anything but still these characters feel a lot more like Bleach characters than Naruto ones with a little bit more drawn out beliefs you kind of understand what's going on with them but nothing too crazy that's going to move you or cause a huge shift make you have this Grand Epiphany and relate to them in some i

nsane way part of Naruto having better characters is the fact that Naruto is just way longer but even if you cut off Naruto at say part one no villain in jjk compares to Zaba no villain has the atmosphere in this word that I'm about to say that has become so overused but no character has the aura of Orochi Maru or the complexity of gar I would say Gojo and mahito are probably the most complex characters but they don't really compare that much to the upper echelon of Naruto but this is one of Nar

uto's best traits and honestly most of old Shonen really got the characters downright from Luffy kilaa Ichigo Gan Lee MOA Zoro these characters are legends and there isn't really those figures in anime anymore that we really look out to farring maybe Aaron or dorin and Yuji to Naruto isn't particularly close although Yuji in season 2 is much better and seeing him take in all that pain was insane and I brought some of the best memes did you all see someone tweeted someone actually tweeted this ou

t they tweeted could someone give all of ior's paint to Naruto and the Kishimoto parody account on Twitter was like why he saying [ __ ] me for but anyways I don't think I need to go on a long tangent of why Naruto is better than Yuji as a character but seeing the progression in the manga I can see a lot of room for characters at jjk in general to grow due to the main X Factor of jjk that's gotten it this far besides the animation and that's the fact that gay writes these characters with not a s

ingle thought of failure in his head the way these characters can drop dead at any moment will never get old namami popping nura popping toi basically popping well he popped himself Gojo bye-bye and no manga spoilers because I'm not an idiot but God damn the manga is crazy but ior's version of ichigo's motivation is done in a manner that is hard to really attach to he says he wants to protect these people and fails pretty miserably at that but that is also one of the things that makes these char

acters so interesting is just the amount they fail no anime is doing it like jjk and it's taking these concepts of the big three and putting a unique spin on it by simply adding a level of tension that no other mangaa is willing to do I mean Oda literally blows up characters and brings them back gay didn't even give nobra a backstory and decided he had enough just a quick comparison before we get to the big category of fights but animation and I think jjk has a proper mantle to the Naruto style

and I label this style liquid animation I have no clue what it's actually called but they took the style of Naruto vers pain and was like this is what you guys actually wanted to do and this auna m fight was pretty crazy and obviously with some years behind it Naruto is probably still impressive if you scale it relative to when it came out and at this moment the likes of Sasuke B Naruto versus Sasuke it still does hold up but I think jjk does have the G to surpass it before anyone says what abou

he different hubs with eador getting in the middle of it you know it could have given some of these Side characters a lot of depth that was needed and gave us time to marinate with the cast jjk fights are absolutely the Pinnacle of the show and why this video is even being made it's why jjk is in these anime discussions taking away the fights from jjk would be like taking out alpha male content from shorts there' just be nothing there these fights are the narrative and although Naruto fights als

o serve as the story these fights make jjk what it is not sure if any anime has fights that are as significant to the story as much as juuj kazin fights are between the insane animation the crazy plot threats the scale this is what leaves the characters in the audience speechless zakuna mahora is what enabled itadori to go crazy in his character transformation as well as mahito versus itadori mahito versus no mahito vers nanami these fights are what allowed itadori to have that transformation as

well as what allowed the audience to get invested itadori versus choso showed that eador is barely on the level with some of the fighters in the jjk world and also God damn that fight looked so sick and showed what a cinematic fight in anime could be but Naruto has moments like this too with Sasuke vers danzo being a complete descent into darkness Naruto pain being a battle of ideals and pushing Naruto to the edge and even earlier in the story with the highly debated themes of Naruto versus Nei

and the difference of Ern Talent verus born Talent now we've already established the story of Naruto better and that the stakes of jjk are what makes it great but this is where the flavor of One Piece gets thrown in that makes jjk fights stand a chance and that's how spread out the fights are barring the final war in the pain Invasion there isn't many widescale battles in Naruto whereas in jjk there's a lot of individual battles all going on at once and they all come together nicely for example

you have the mechamaru fight with ghetto and mahito leading to Gojo's fight with the three of them to Ma's fight with ghetto as well as toi coming back there is so many mini battles into a one piece Arc and these individual fights with the increased intensity at jjk it's like hold up they can die at any minute and then Joo pulls up and kills people just like that here's also where the power system comes into play and Naruto obviously has chakra and it's moderately complicated with sage mode and

Sage a six pass chakra and shinui chakra but nothing that will leave you as confused as cursed energy those memes we were talking about you can increase it 10-fold it really makes you sit back and say I'm just going to turn my brain off and enjoy it for what it is mahito needing to power power up so ghetto can jaku can use his ability to manifest his past curses from a thousand years ago in Gojo's infinity and then the fact that there's nothing simple about a simple domain at the hardcores that

have commented on past videos I know you guys probably really enjoy it but for someone who doesn't understand it I don't mind it but it's kind of like all of us watching kenet I don't know what's going on but I like it depending on what type of fan you are you might actually prefer jiu chazin fights to Naruto fights which is crazy but believable to say but I think from this debate it won't take an Einstein to deduct that Jiu-Jitsu kaisen isn't at the level of Naruto yet but if gig had introduce

d a little bit more Nuance to the world and depth to the characters and really took time to marinate in the story before shibba came out we really could be having a different discussion but the appeal of juu kaisen is still unlike any other anime and if it keeps up and doubles down on being different the discussion could open up because there is no shown in anime as bold as chuju kaisen and no shown in anime that blends fights intentions as well as jjk in the current landscape it seems like uniq

ue anime are what fans want when seeing the success of vinin saga frein and Jiu-Jitsu Kasin it's safe to say that we want stuff that we haven't seen before but I think what's also impressive is the titans of the big three are still the best shown in we have out and the likes of my hero Black Clover boruto they're all trying to recapture that energy and but instead of doing that they may want to add a Twist and go the route jjk and just be different and come up with a vibe to the story that's com
