s from around the world and they were here on a three-day conference and that's where they heard foreign minister Israel cats he talked about three things Wendy first of all he talked about the fact that they need to make sure that the war is completed that the war cannot end before Hamas is eliminated as a threat on isra Southern border the second thing he talked about was Iran Iran being the head of the snake and actually the font uh the Fountain Head as it were of all the proxies that are aro

und the region funded and fueled by Iran and the third thing he talked about was Global anti-Semitism and they're having an initiative right now uh to try to combat that anti-Semitism he's been saying that it's really exponentially grown since October 7th and Chris what what can you tell us about the concern concerns that Benny gance's visit to the US is an attempt to undermine Netanyahu and get him to make more concessions to the US well as we were talking to someone earlier today a lot of peop

le think this is politics Benny gance is probably the the one leader right now that has his more popularity than prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and it looks like uh some people see this as a political attempt to get more uh popularity here in Israel and also possible undermine exact how Netanyahu is in many ways opposing what the uh what the US Administration wants they want a two-state solution uh Netanyahu is against that and they uh they also are pressuring Israel to provide more humanitar

ian Aid Israel on the other hand is saying we're not stopping humanitarian Aid we're doing as much as we can to help those gazin and have de to flee the fighting but uh internally they see many people see gance's visit to Washington as a as an attempt to sort of undermine Netanyahu politically yeah I know he feels that way um you spoke with retired Israeli General Amir AV viiv he's warning against a permanent ceasefire uh why is he saying that he's saying that because he says a temporary ceasefi

re is not a really problem maybe four to six weeks that's what they're talking about now in the hostage negotiations however he says a permanent ceasefire really in a sense is saying that Israel is going to lose the war right now the Junction he says that Israel is at is that they're on the precipice of going into Rafa Rafa is the last stronghold of Hamas maybe four to six battalions of Hamas are right now in that city right there on the Egyptian border uh they're using many of the Gins over a m

illion as human Shields and uh he abiv is saying Israel needs to go into Rafa needs to eliminate Hamas needs to make sure it doesn't survive and also there's really critical things smuggling tunnels likely on that Egyptian border that need to be stopped so Israel can have a safe haven there on their southern border and Chris does aivi believe Israel is making major gains against Hamas he does he actually does and I think a lot of people feel that sometimes the advances that Israel is making in N

orthern Gaza and Southern towns like tunus is being under reported and really not reported accurately but he feels that they're making sub substantial progress and really if they do go into Gaza Rafia that is the last uh stronghold of Hamas and Gaza he feels they're going to win the war and then things will have to turn north to Hezbollah yeah speaking of the north what's the latest on Israel's battles with Hezbollah along the border with Lebanon well I can tell you Wendy just in the last uh cou

ple of hours there was a terror attack by uh by Hezbollah at least one was killed and a number of foreign workers on uh on Israel's northern border and you know everybody you talk to here uh Wendy you can talk to a taxi driver you can talk to the people I talk at the uh at the dry cleaners or you talk to uh experts they're all saying that once the war with Hamas in the south is uh completed that Israel has to look North they can't allow Hezbollah maybe 10 times as as strong as Hamas to exist the

re on the northern border tens of thousand thousand of Israelis are out of their livelihoods they're away from the northern border and they're living in hotels many of them here in Jerusalem so they can't allow Hezbollah to continue so the thought is not only will they go perhaps to Hezbollah after they finish with Hamas but even they would go further to Iran and its nuclear programs wow incredible can't imagine what everyone's going through there Chris uh thank you so much for that report stay

doctor's job to harm people even if the person wants it harm he says that's often permanent they have to give up something that they have no concept of understanding which is the the potential loss of uh having a family in the future Texas Children's Hospital where Dr hay worked announced they were stopping their transgender procedures prompting the resignation of Dr Katherine Gordon a staunch proponent however hes said he discovered the procedures were still taking place there were a few reside
