Cyberpunk 2077 was not what we expected for the premiere, but CD Projekt Red took up the work and in the following years the game not only has been getting better and got access to the latest technologies, but also the title has been properly patched and today I have to admit that the game is great. In this video, I will take you beyond what the creators allow to see, what techniques they used, what is happening outside the camera's view, but be warned, when we learn how some elements have been
made, the game will lose a lot of its magic. I warn you again against spoilers, because there will be a lot of them in this material. Hi, my name is Krzysztof NRGeek Micielski, and this is Beyond the Scenes of Cyberpunk 2077. Welcome. Let's start from the very beginning. I based my material on the entire prologue from the very beginning to the accident on the highway. It is a piece and allows you to look at many ideas that the Reds had and understand how the game works from the inside. If there
is pressure, I will try to record another material from the further part of the gameplay. Cyberpunk 2077 starts in a bar, where V is looking through a mirror. And here's a fun fact. During the game, our hero has no head and will never have it. However, in the photo mode, the head is generated so that we do not take a stupid picture. However, apart from this moment, V will always be a headless scum. In part, this makes it clear why in the Raytracing mode our hero is basically invisible, even thou
gh the other characters are. Another curiosity is that the game streams the play of the next elements of the game. This means that the bar is not a closed location. You can look outside and there is the whole Night City, although basically completely extinct. There are no cars, people, but the model of the city itself is there. It makes sense, because why generate crowds of people who are not visible anyway. I also like the attachment of the Reds to the detail. When we go to talk to Kirk, sittin
g next to Grubas, he puts his gun on the table. If we look at him from a very close distance, you can see how much work was put into this one, well, quite an important element. Really high quality work. When we are at the first job, where we roll the car, the moment when we meet Jack for the first time. I always had one of the grids here. If we look at the garage, it has only one entrance, but police cars drive out of the wall. Or actually? Yes, they just appear out of nowhere. It makes sense, b
ecause you can't see it during the game. The very animation of Jack, when he is thrown to the ground by a policewoman, is not a single smooth movement. And it also makes sense, because we can't see it from the camera. However, the funny situation is with Kaoru, the owner of the car, who appears in the company of two gorillas. When he leaves, we no longer have the opportunity to see what he is doing, he starts dancing. And two guards, as if nothing ever happened, penetrate through him like the el
evator door. The whole animation, when we move with Jack to the city, is pre-rendered. It makes sense, because it throws us into different parts of the city, which in a situation where it would be generated by the engine, would cause the texture to be added, as well as the locations. At the next job, when we go with Jack to get the girl, driving the elevator, the elevator actually moves up. It's an interesting idea, because you can't see it anyway, so it would be enough to add another location,
as they stand in the elevator. But no, we're moving up. The whole meta of the kidnappers is also empty until we go out through the door. There is not even a bath in the bathtub with ice. Nothing was thrown into memory until it was necessary. When we open the door, all the bodies appear in the right places. V looks funny from the perspective of the third person, because his head, or camera, is always at the same height, but this is due to the view of the FPP. When we find the girl we are looking
for, although the game will not show us much of this, it is built anatomically, so not only the boobs, but also the parts of the penis are in place. When V lifts the girl, strange things happen. Also when we move her to the balcony, the game looks strange from the outside, which does not matter, because from the perspective of the first person it is ok. The Trauma Team vehicle that arrives is empty inside, and the Trauma Team crew appears out of nowhere in the doors. At the end of the mission, J
ackie asks V to borrow a car for a date with Misty. He promises to take care of him. Are you curious if Jackie will keep his word? Let's see. Well, I would say so. It's a day and night cycle. It looks nice, but to appreciate it, you would have to do a timelapse. Here we can go back and forth and I have to admit that it looks great. Visiting Ripperdoc is another interesting thing. Although it looks good from the perspective of the first person, when we look from the outside, we can see that the R
eds did not necessarily care about the anatomical correctness of the movements. Interestingly, while replacing the eyebrows, V regains his head for a short while, so that it disappears again in a moment. ...darkness and such. When we meet with Agent Militech, V is knocked out by one of the Gorillas. Here you can see how the Reds set all the models to a given animation fragment, creating a cut when the screen darkens for a fraction of a second. Note that our car will also appear, which will later
be able to leave this place. Again, I focused on the weapon held by one of the agents. Once again, masterful work. When we arrive at the Malestorm headquarters, although the door to the Royce's shack is closed, he is already sitting there. He slightly dives into the chair, but it doesn't matter again. However, the model is already available there. At the moment when we are in the club, just before meeting Dex, I found a few interesting things. The first is the photos located on the Lada. It is
possible that this is a part of the creators, but I will not let my hands get cut here. One of the girls at the bar is clicking something on the phone or Dex. Interestingly, this device actually has a screen and you can read what is on it. It's like anything, but you can really see the attachment to the details here. In the sound-proof room, we have another example of the great use of raytracing in reflections, but again V is totally invisible. However, I am glad that all glass elements have ret
ained reflections, e.g. the glass on Dex's watch or his glasses. Although the reflection parameter was probably set globally for all the glass material in the entire game, but it's still a nice detail. If you are curious where Dex goes after leaving the room, he is prowling like a tank through the walls, and when he reaches his favorite place between the walls, he disappears. In turn, T-Bug has a little more grace. He penetrates through the first door and disappears right behind them. In the Kop
ecky Plaza, when we are looking for a biochip, at some point vehicles fly by the window. They are empty, of course, but in one of them there is a plant in the middle. The whole scene of the killing of Arasaki from a different perspective looks cool. It is worth stopping at the figure of Soburo, because she again has a lot of details, e.g. hair in the ears and nose. When Jackie and V fall while escaping, it looks quite strange again. Most likely because the physical engine was not used, but every
thing was animated by hand, which makes the whole thing look quite funny. When we return to Jackie, from the half-successful mission of retrieving the biochip, at some point the image darkens outside, so that we can focus on the current events and Jackie, and not on the outside environment. It was also realized that the car was placed in a spherical, semi-transparent, dark object. A simple and ingenious solution. In the knife of Dex, looking through the mirror again, V has a head, although the m
odel is again without a head. The action takes us to John Rago Silverhand. The moment when he plays in the club is impressive, because there are a lot of characters in the audience, but only a closer look shows that the ones in front are models with a full range of details, while the further ones, hidden in the shadow, are already models that look quite funny. When Silverhand is caught, we can see the nuclear explosion through the window, which caused the projection of the material prepared in a
dvance. However, thanks to the clever trick with the addition of a pre-released film of delicate smoke, the whole thing seems to be as if the explosion actually occurred in the distance. The moment when V is digging out of the garbage is also an interesting example of not doing the job where it is not necessary. The tank itself looks ok from the first person's point of view, but when we look at it from a distance, we can see that it was focused only on an important element, i.e. the arms. The gh
ostly escape from the killers with Takemura is also an example of an anime that is supposed to look good from the perspective of the FPP. The rest, what happens beyond our vision, is already a free American. The legs of V At some point, V shoots back. It was done in a rather funny way. V's legs are still sitting normally, while the torso is turned 180 degrees. It just looks funny. When V finally gets to the apartment and is visited by Misty, at some point Silverhand appears, who knocks him down.
He falls to the floor and starts crawling to the pills. Interestingly, the animation of the crawling is full, including the legs. At the end, I will leave you a funny curiosity that I discovered quite late. When we pull out the gun, V looks natural. From the perspective of the first person, of course, everything is ok. We see the hands, we can aim, but what does the character look like from the outside? Well, it doesn't look better when we change the gun to a rifle or a rifle. However, these ar
e all details, because during the game we will never experience something like this. But what happens when we turn on the photo mode? The V model is replaced with one with a head and a gun held up so that everything looks nice on the captured photos. Although you will admit that photos with such a V look more interesting. The V model is replaced with one with a head and a gun held up so that everything looks nicer on the captured photos. Although you will admit that photos with such a V look mor
e interesting. Even if it is seen that the Reds did something quickly and after the head, it does not matter, because these things happen outside our view and we will never experience them ourselves. In some places it is also a show that it makes no sense to do work where it is not necessary and this is also an interesting aspect. Anyway, today Cyberpunk is a great game and it is worth playing it if you haven't had the opportunity yet. But remember that what is happening behind the scenes is a c
ompletely different story. Finally, I will add that I am waiting for your feedback if you want more videos from this series.

@richielynx

Oglądam NRGeeka od 11 lat, a ten dalej nie umie poprawnie przeczytać nazw bohaterów i miejsc, kocham to XD

@Chomont

już wiele tajemnic deweloperów poznaliśmy w dniu premiery 😂

@wz1530

Bo lustra dzialają i widać bohatera. Sprytny preload w tle jest.

@leszekszpakowski4017

Pozdrawiam

@user-uo3cf8jc9o

Nie wiem dlaczego te informacje miały by mi popsuć odbiór samej gry. Takie sztuczki to przecież standard od samych początków branży.

@Keisyr2706

Super film, oby takich więcej bo to jakie sztuczki i triki są wykorzystywane do tworzenia gier zawsze wzbudza ciekawość

@pablojasieniek2548

Chcemy więcej takich materiałów! Świetna seria!

@artysta122

Oczywiście i koniecznie wrzuć jak wygląda bzykanko poza widokiem FPP

@Derpinsoon

@rico4ever

@VoRteX_PL

@damiankuzniar7278

Zajebista seria. Dawaj dalej. Super robota.

@piotrposzczynski9477

Fajna seria. Czekam na kolejne odcinki :)

@witoldmaj6538

Dlaczego kładzie go na stole?

@Blackwarior1

Dziś skończyłem Cyberpunka 2077 wraz z dodatkiem, naprawdę świetnie się bawiłem.

@wojciechpalarz6408

Dobry materiał, liczę na dalszą część 🙂

@sytusytowy7596

@ZERO-SUB

Szacun😉

@ltmollo6039

Seria kozak. Czekam na następny odcinek.

@cdzett

No jasne że chcemy!
