Can you please tell the jury why you're here today? Ms. Heard accused me of abuse. My ex-husband is suing me. Brutal. Cruel. This is humiliating for any human being to go through. And all false. Amber Heard forever changed Mr. Depp's life and reputation. Behind the fame, you're gonna see who the real Johnny Depp is. Depp was the one who wanted the cameras in the courtroom. She didn't. I would argue it's a PR campaign disguised as a defamation case. There's the man himself. It's been a social med
ia circus of commentary from creators and influencers. - Did you commit any kind of prank? - Absolutely not. On my side of the bed was human fecal matter. This has moved away from a news story or a lawsuit... Amber's a liar! ...and it's transformed into a cultural moment. People are live-tweeting people are live-streaming. Where does it end? The engagement is phenomenal. Videos can be very easily manipulated and republished. We're being influenced by bots interacting with bots. Johnny Depp is wi
nning now in the court of public opinion. I have never been so scared in my life. She's acting. This trial is about so much more than Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard. Why are we so fascinated with this case? Because they're famous. Because of the details. What didn't the jury see? - He just kicked me. - It didn't happen. I don't know who to believe. I ******* was hitting you. Ms. Heard, Mr. Depp is your victim, isn't he? This is not so much about the legal merits, but rather what the public perce
ption is. And that leaves us to the real question, which is... what is the actual truth?

@SteezyKane

Damn the writers really are on strike

@DreamilyReal

To people who have never watched the trial, watch it. This documentary is very selective in showing you what it wanted you to see.

@emilyabbott1817

It's is absolutely grotesque the way Netflix repainted the court case. They left out the fact that we all responded to Amber's actual words and actions and the fact that she would not admit to anything we heard with hard evidence like audio.

@rebeccamangelsdorf3806

I would like to point out that Netflix made a point in episode 2 that social media influencers were making money off this trial. Well now so is Netflix's🤣🤣🤣!

@Greendalewitch

"May I clarify what occurred so that we can stop talking about the muffins?" is easily the best part of the whole trial for me.

@TheSingingGardener

As someone who watched the trial from start to end I highly encourage everyone who didn’t to do so either before or after you watch this documentary because there were a lot of evidence and ( how do I put this ) characters that testified that didn’t make the documentary… in my opinion both Amber and Johnny were very abusive with each other but there was only ONE who was physical and started most of the fights and the evidence pointed to Amber. Her testimony alone lost her the case

@lokislilproductions6542

yes we definitely wanted this instead of a continuation to thousands of shows we actually loved that got cancelled

@kermitfrog593

Smartest thing ever was for Depp to insist on cameras in the courtroom. Without them, he knew that even if he won the case there would always be doubts. He had to have the public see and hear Amber for themselves. He knew how bad an actress his ex wife was.

@Hung-di4fb

You have to watch the trial to understand why everyone believes Johnny. Amber’s story is never the same. She changed her story 5 times in the UK trial. Her picture evidence had all been doctored. We are pro Johnny not because we like him, but because we watched the whole trial and the evidence points to Amber being the abuser.

@hdnft4633

Interesting how this documentary kept out so much information about the whole truth and made the perpetrator (AH) into a victim when the jury and the world saw the evidence a year ago.

@shp3270

Netflix left out at least 7 major photographs, 3 videos, 6 texts, and 5 audio recordings made by Heard that showed Johnny was the victom. Netflix is disgusting.

@ace_bean7011

Disclaimer: The documentary is ignoring a lot of important testimony such as an expert claiming that the pictures of Heard were altered to make her look bruised. Meanwhile they focused on a staged chat conversation by Heard. The show is just there to sympathise with Amber and make Johnny look bad without actually showing the important evidence. There was a very important audio were Amber admitted once and twice more thay she hit Johnny and lost her mind during arguments while he was constantly running away (her own words). Not to forget all the other stuff that was found out inside and outside the trial like that she was doing drugs and that Johnny didn't take c. until his relationship with Amber or that she cheated on him with James Franco (who refused to testify for her) and Elon Musk. She also was arrested for abusing her ex girlfriend and lost her license for seriously injuring a person while drunk/drugged driving. We have these documents and interviews. Also let's not forget that HER friends were staying rent free in Johnny's houses until he threw them out. It was also speculated that AH sister was abused as well and in a document she even claimed that AH stole Musk's semen for her child

@garywebb2432

THIS HAS TO BE A MEME

@sleepdeprivedpuggy

Netflix is producing a documentary about a case that underwent a fair and public trial in the court of law, with televised hearings. The matter is settled, justice has been served, so I'm not sure what more they aim to accomplish with this documentary.

@di942842

I am a bit annoyed with how this doco makes Johnny Depp's fans look like they were supportive of Johnny just because they were fans of Johnny. It kinda does not give credit to the fact that many fans actually followed the case from beginning to end, that they even read transcripts, and then made their own decision about Amber lying about Johnny.

@mischapiru9514

I hate liars and watching Johnny win from a liar felt good.

@LadyAstarionAncunin

I'm glad I canceled my Netflix subscription about a year ago, but if I hadn't, this documentary would have made me do it. Netflix, millions of people watched the trial LIVE on a daily basis. WE SAW EVERYTHING, yet y'all are lying to save an abuser (Amber Herd) and her career. When she beats up yet another partner (or her child), I want you to think about what you've done. Because Amber has a history of abusing multiple partners and Johnny has NONE (including Amber)! I've seen people say they've canceled their subscription based on this doc and I love to hear it! P.S. I'm not even a Johnny Depp fan even a little bit, but I am a fan of the truth!

@yasminah6823

She beat, mutilated his finger, sent him to a hospital and mentally tortured that man. Anyone with a brain who watched the trial and listened to her testimony can tell you Amber was the abuser. People who have never had a run in with narcissistic sociopaths like Amber will never understand how people like that destroy your life. Saying it was a trial by Tiktok defames the jurors and the court system. Why not delve into the UK court case and how she won that through unjust lobbying. Leave Johnny alone to heal. He wanted to clear his name and he did in a court of law.

@ydg_me

They have a great cast. This has to be a hit

@Maatsy

I’m very happy with this. What Turd did must never be forgotten, she deserves to be reminded of this case the rest of her life. A new season each year would be nice as well.
