That dinner scene really shows the good side of Hellboy. He, although himself, is a Devil, but he too feels ashamed and sympathetic to seeing the corpses of the children.

Despite the critics of this movie this Hellboy's design is badass (and I agree too that Yaga is scary as FK).
As Russian I'll say, that Baba Yaga in this film looks better than in lots of modern Russian cartoons and films

Ron Pearlman voice will never be replaced, so much more menacing as Hellboy.
Fun fact: the most famous Russian movie image of Baba Yaga was actually played by a Soviet/Russian male actor Georgiy Millyar. Just type in Georgiy Millyar Baba Yaga. His version of Baba Yaga from the old Soviet films is still the most iconic and famous Baba Yaga in all of history of the cinema.
