so will we get the same after 3 years as well? So, For that I am reviewing today my Legendary Laptop MSI
GL63 and I bought this before opening the Youtube channel And because
of this laptop, my channel started. Because this was the only
machinery that I was using for editing and gaming. I was doing live streams on this channel and I have made a review video on this channel. I swear, If I get a chance to kill someone
in the past, I will kill myself. I made such a bad review. So, Go and comment in that video. Comment in a way that is bad but I didn't find it bad. I mean in a sarcastic way, Most welcome, Do it. I bought this laptop for Rs 90,000 in November 2019 And cur
rently it's July 2023. So, It's been 3.5 years since I bought this laptop. And
after 3.5 years, It is giving such a good performance. We will talk about the thermals, Graphic card,
Battery and overall the physical condition of the laptop I will tell all that in this video. And I will also tell you that if you are going to buy a second
hand laptop, What all things you have to keep in mind. So, I will review this and side by side you
will gain some knowledge as well And I will also show you the pe
rformance. And I will also cover
the role of servicing like cleaning, repasting in this video. So, First of all, I will show you the laptop physically.
I have kept it very carefully. There are some scratches on the top lid and there
are also scratches on the MSI logo. I have tried to keep it clean from inside. There are small
scratches and small marks which come timely. It's been 3.5 years. All the stickers are intact and
I had put a screen guard on the front screen. That's why, My screen will
be clean from inside. And if you
look at the laptop physically, There is no damage. And I will tell you the specification of this laptop. Because, If you are going to buy a second-hand laptop, I will tell you the performance of a laptop with such
specifications and the price at the end of the video. It has Intel Core i7-9750H processor which is
9th generation with 6 cores and 12 threads. The biggest reason to buy this laptop was GTX 1660 Ti. It comes with 6 GB of VRAM, 80W TGP. But, It didn't su
pport RT cores and Tensor cores. So, There
was no support for ray tracing or DLSS at that time. But, I will show you the performance later. It has 16 GB of RAM and dual channel with 2666 MHz clock speed. MSI didn't keep this laptop ahead of time.
It can be upgraded to 64 GB maximum. This laptop has a 256 GB SSD and the speed is very low. It also has 1TB HDD. So, It can store games
and other study materials. At that time, there was no ray tracing.
So, Games were running on HDD like GTA 5. As the
graphics kept on increasing, Ray tracing, DLSS
support started to come. So, SSD was mandatory. That's why, Today's consoles also have SSD. It has Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth version 5. You can see the speed of Wi-Fi 5. It is showing 75 Mbps
and 60 Mbps according to my internet. I have Jio fiber in my house. And this is a Wi-Fi 6 laptop, It is showing the same speed. I know this comparison is not valid because Jio fiber is a
dual band Wi-Fi. It will give the same speed in Wi-Fi 5 and 6. But, If you are
not a hardcore gamer and you don't
have a powerful Wi-Fi router with 6GHz, You have to do expensive recharge for the gaming router So, If you are buying a second hand Wi-Fi 5 laptop in 2023, It is a good to go option. Because, Wi-Fi 6 or 6E will not
increase your speed. Your laptop will become capable. But, You should also
get a fast internet to use that capability. Keep that in mind It comes with Bluetooth version 5. And in today's date,
It connects any Bluetooth accessory. It doesn't give me
any problem. Now, If you buy this specification in 2023,
How will the laptop perform? Before telling you the benchmarks, Let me clear one thing. If you are buying a second-hand laptop, How will
you know that it is giving the same performance As it was giving when it was new there is a very easy way. You can see the scores
of Cinebench R23 and Geekbench. These are the scores before servicing the laptop. After that, I opened the laptop, Cleaned it,
It was very dirty Repasted it using thermal paste
. And after that, I took out the same scores.
You can see the difference in the numbers. Now, You will ask, What was the second
hand laptop's performance? If you are going to buy a second-hand laptop, You have to
check if its CPU and GPU is performing well in today's date. For CPU, Test Cinebench R23 and for
GPU, Time spy 3D mark. You can search the scores of the same CPU and GPU online. As you can see, There is a website which is showing the scores of
this processor i.e. i7 9750H Of Cinebench R
23 and 3D mark time spy. And if that score is given by the
second-hand laptop in today's date. That means that the laptop is performing
well in today's date if the numbers are going up and down by 1000-2000,
Then it will be fine after servicing. Because cooling will be there after cleaning and
repasting then it won't throttle But, If the numbers are very low, Then it is a red flag. Don't consider the system, You can find some other option. Now, Let's take a look at the benchmarks. These are the
scores of Cinebench R23,
6177 multi-core and 1108 single-core. Which is not much, Obviously, It is a very old laptop. These are the benchmarks of Geekbench 6. These are the scores of PCMark 10,
i.e. 4894 and this is for CPU performance. These are okay, It is not so good These are the scores of 3D mark time spy,

You can do good 1080P level of editing. Even, We do 4K editi
ng on it. After some time, It starts lagging because the CPU is outdated. It has a 6GB graphics card and a 6-core processor. So, It can work on graphics like after effects,
3D modeling and architecture. But, After a particular time, If a project is
getting bigger, It will start lagging. Because, It is an outdated machine and if you
are going to work on big projects, Then this specification is not for you. If you want to work on initial level and you are looking

on this laptop in today's time, You will feel the lag. Because, GPU is outdated and CPU is also outdated. CPU plays a big role in streaming.

the power of the CPU. I am testing Valorant on 1080P because it has 1080P display. Valorant is testing on high settings, You can see the rest
of the settings in front of you. It gave 200 plus FPS, It is a 3.5 years old laptop. RAM is playing a big role here. RAM is 16 GB in dual channel, So, Gaming performance is good. It has a 120Hz display, So, we are getting 120Hz enjoyment Rest, It has extra FPS, So, You can enjoy
it on external monitors. If you are thinking of buying such laptops Now, I am
testing RDR2 by pushing the limits. The settings are in favor quality. Everything is on ultra and it doesn't have
DLSS because it is a GTX card. We don't get DLSS in this It is running on ultra settings with good frame rates And this is the raw performance on 1080P,
We are getting 40-50 FPS Let me tell you about the CPU temperatures
Before the service, CPU temperature was 98-100. After servicing, It is 90-90 below. Thermal performance is decent, They are
not too good neither too bad it is a 3.5
years old laptop, So, It is very good. And what is its use if we don't test GTA V in gaming test Weare testing it on very high settings,
You can see the settings here. It is testing on 1080P. I am getting 60-70 FPS, Which is less. If I would have tested 30-50 FPS, I would have
got better FPS on 1080P. It is an old graphics card, So, You will get lag in performance. But, It has 6GB VRAM, So, It is handling all the games well. I am testing on 1080P on Spiderman Miles morales I have kept the setti
ngs on very high. You won't get ray tracing option because it is a GTX card. On Raw performance on very high settings, There
is no DLSS, I am getting 60-70 FPS on Spiderman. This game was launched in 2022 and this laptop
is 2019 machinery and according to that It is giving a very good performance. Then, I thought of test it on higher potential I tested Cyberpunk on ultra settings, There is no DLSS
support, But, I was getting AMD FSR support. That I kept on quality But, I was also getting ray tr
acing option,
Which I removed on ultra settings. Although Ray tracing is not supported in GTX cards,
I don't know why it was showing here After that, You can see the performance,
It is giving 10-15 FPS. The ray tracing was working because I could see
the difference in the graphics. We tested it again with AMD FSR on quality and settings on ultra After that, The performance was very good,
Like 40-50 FPS which is very playable. At the time I was testing this laptop, I felt that it is
still worth i
t in 2023 according to gaming performance After that, To test the raw performance, I switched off FSR
and kept the settings on ultra settings. After switching off FSR, I got a difference of 5-7 FPS. Earlier, I was getting 45-50 FPS,
Now, I am getting 38-42 FPS, Which is fine. But, You can enjoy FSR if you have a GTX card. But, FSR is not as powerful as DLSS. After that, I tested COD warzone on 2.0,
And I kept the quality on minimum. Because, I was getting around 60 FPS on minimum
quality and so
metimes even less than 60 because, If you want to play esports, Specifically warzone, Then 60-70 FPS is the minimum for a good gameplay. There is another reason for low FPS, Because the graphics
card is very old, And this game is CPU and GPU intensive. So, If you want to play warzone,
You can play it on minimum settings. Then we tested Uncharted lost legacy,
And I kept the settings on ultra. And I got around 50 FPS on ultra settings at 1080P. In the starting scene that is very crowded, There are
a lot of
elements in the frame, But the frame rate is good. After that, I tested Forza Horizon 5,
And I kept the settings on high. And on high settings, I got around 70-80 FPS, Which is good. The gameplay was smooth, If you are looking for a 1660 Ti
second hand laptop for gaming in 2023, You can easily consider it. I didn't face any issues in gaming Lastly, I tested God of War, I kept the settings on high. And in this as well, I was getting FSR 2.0 support but I kept that
off because I wanted
to see the raw performance first And I got around 50-60 FPS, I played the starting scene. So, There is no problem in gaming performance. You can play
AAA titles on medium to high settings on this machine. You can get 2060 or 1660 Ti. And you can get the CPU choice in AMD or Intel. You can
prefer this choice, You will get a good performance. And we get a single color backlight keyboard in this laptop,
This is a full sized keyboard and it it has a red colored light Typing experience is okay And I
didn't saw the review at that time
and just bought the laptop The trackpad of this laptop was so bad that
I didn't use it till now. It is so hard to use. It has 2 dedicated click that are too hard to use, They
are very tight, This is the worst trackpad till now If you want to test the keyboard, Then there is keyboard
